Kinect protection - Can it be built in a Panel PC

I have some questions regarding Kinect and its certifications and brand protection.
We are developing medical grade software (http://www.adora-med.com)
Can Kinect V2 sensor be embedded in a case or panel PC (such as Kiosk implementation or similar).
What kind of certification where made with Kinect V2 (CE mark, etc... can it be used directly in sterila area), I tried to find it on the web site, but was unsuccessful...

Based on this thread: there are no restrictions for reselling the Kinect for Windows sensor. The EULA authorizes commercial usage as long as its usage falls into the terms outlined.

Can't Use Built-in Ethernet-HELP!!!

I am trying to connect a slot loading 350 mhz imac to the internet through the built-in ethernet for a friend that needs it, but the network status pane (OSX.3 Panther) keeps saying the ethernet cable is not plugged in. I've tried several different Cat 5 ethernet cables and it still says this, so we can't connect to the isp (with cable modem). It also says the internal modem is not working, I get the red light next to it and the built-in ethernet buttons in Network status. I've tried direct connections to two different external cable modems, and three different ethernet cables, I think the problem is a software issue that needs correcting. I just got through with a clean install of OS 9.1 and OSX.3, but the network still does not recognize the ethernet cable as being plugged in.
Other things I've tried: zapping the PRAM, and resetting the nv-ram, but to no avail (as suggested by other posts I've come across). I ran Tech Tool 4 on it however,and the Network test PASSED.
Isn't there something I can do in Preferences or terminal so the network can see the built-in ethernet? I'd really appreciate any ideas or suggestions!

You can easily restore without updating to the latest OS - simply don't purchase it. You can restore from iTunes - on the Summary page, just click on Restore.
As to your WiFi problem (and that is what you most likely experiencing) tell us more about the network you are using, the hardware, who the heck your ISP is and so on. It may be as simple as whoever owns the network is blocking access to Apple sites.
I am assuming by built in sites, you are referring to the App Store, iTunes, etc. correct?
If your network indicates that you are logged in, tap Settings > WiFi. Does your network have a check mark next to it? If it does, tap the blue arrow (>) next to the name. Does your IP address start with 169.x or 192.x?

THe built in iSight will actually work with iMovie if you have the version of iMovie which comes with iLife 6. (see http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61929 for a mention)
There is a slightly clumsy "workaround" available for use with earlier versions of iMovie, but you need a dv cam to use it - see http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20051217210335199
I gather that "EvoCam" - http://www.evological.com/evocam.html - will also work directly with the built in iSight.
So too, should recent versions of QuicktimePro.
As for other apps, tell us what you wish to do with it. We may be able to come up with some suggestions.

Can't select "Built-in Line Output" in Audio/MIDI prefs

I have audio on my MacPro going out "Built-in Line Output" via the mini-jack at the back to a receiver. Everything works fine.
When I open GarageBand's preferences to set up Audio Output it has defaulted to "Built-in Output" (the little speaker and jack in the front) and is grayed out, I can't select "Built-in Line Output" to send GarageBand's audio out the mini-jack at the back.
Anyone know what's going on here?

The problem has solved itself, which is good, but I have no idea why or how, which is mildly off putting.
I went into system prefs and set the Sound output to "Built-in Output," thinking maybe that would "free up" Built-in Line Output for GB, which doesn't make sense, but whatever, none of it made sense. That had no effect in GB, same situation. So, I switched the system prefs back to "Built-in Line Output" and left things for a bit.
Then the next time I went into GB everything was fine. The pull down menus were available and I could select "Built-in Line Output." Weird. [insert head scratch here]

IChat can't find built in iSight on 1 week old iMac

The iChat video preference pane on this 1 week old iMac, reads "This computer does not support video chat".
It can find the built in iSight in other software (Photo Booth, iMovie, Skype), but not in iChat.
It worked perfectly 5 days ago.
The only thing that's changed is that I updated my software using "Software Update".
Can any one help me get iChat video to work? Please help.

The Bandwidth Limit drop down should not be greyed out.
I can think of two possibilities.
1) Parental Controls is On for this Mac User Account (but I have never heard of this effecting the Bandwidth Limit).
2) iChat is unable to or has Misread the Internet speed you have.
In the Connection Doctor (Video Menu) what does it say about the Network Status and Capabilities about Internet Speed ?
I would delete com.apple.ichat.plist
This file in in Your Home Folder/Library/Preferences.
Restart iChat afterwards to re-write the .plist
It will also get iChat to check for the camera And the Internet Speed.
Unfortunately deleting this .plist means you may have to reset an Preferences in iChat that you have changed from Default.

Hi, I'm considering to buy iMac G5 (iSight), since I'm so impressed by my first iPod (w/ video).
So I'm pretty new to Apple computer.. please understand.
Question is ;
Can I adjust built-in iSight camera angle?
Left-Right, or Up-down?
Or it's just fixed?

As posted by Kayle, the camera is fixed on the front panel but you can easily adjust it's "view" by rotating the iMac on it's pedestal; right/left or up/down. I have done this and don't notice a significant difference in the angle of the display after doing so. What I mean is, a change of a few degrees of the display (up/down or side to side) isn't really noticeable when looking at the display, but makes a real difference in what the camera takes in (your face, vs you chest level, or over your shoulder).
If you want the camera pointing 30 degrees off the straight ahead position, while looking at the display straight on, you would be better off with an externally mounted camera.

Can a LabVIEW-built Dll have front end ?!

Hi All,
Can a Dll built using a VI be popped-up as usual as a SubVI, when called from a Main VI ?
I m trying to do this in LV 7.1 & getting the attached error message.
All the connector pane IOs are correctly configured in the Dll, inside the Main VI code, when it is invoked in its corresponding button value change.
Please clarify & guide me.

I agree with Wiebe, I am running DLLs on my production test system. Windows appear. The only two issues that I have had is:
does not always come to the front, even with the attribute set. But this may be an issue with a modal window in the caller. The easiest thing for me to do was place the window where I know it will always be seen.
can not change the icon in the upper left corner.
As to your error, I typically see that when I have called the DLL wrong. Passed a value instead of a pointer or something else dippy.

You need to use the
ActivateTab method of the
IRibbonUi interface. See

that can all be done in flash. i'm don't know why think flex was used.
and yes, you can use dynamic data to create the ships. there would be a lot of data needed to specify all that needs to be displayed, though.

I can not install the Icloud control panel on a new windows 7 pc wtih outlook 2010. I get "you can't sign in because of a server error" .

stop and started the bonjour service
done the "netsh winsock reset"
updated all the drivers
I can login to icloud.com with no problem and view my calendar.
Apple chat also provide me with a test id and password to try to install the icloud panel, I got the same error message???

To solve this problem you can:
Windows 7
1) Click on Start
2) Type cmd and press enter
you will see a new window
3) type "netsh winsock reset"
4) restart the machine
should work.
If still does not work you must disable the firewall and antivirus

How can i use the same front panel graph in more than one events in an event structure?

i want to display the signals from my sensorDAQ in a graph.but i have more than one event in the event structure to acquire the signal and display it in the graph.the first event is to acquire the threshold signals and its displayed in the graph as a feedback.after the first event is executed, i will call the second event,where the further signals are acuired and compared with the threshold signals from the event 1.my question is how can i use the same front panel control in more than two events in the event structure?please answer me i'm stuck.

I have attached here an example of doing the same using shift registers and local variables. Take a look. Shift register is always a better option than local variables.

Can multiple PCs access one remote panel at the same time?

I've written a program in labview 7.1 to monitor/control a labview application running in the test cell through Remote Panel. I and my coworker can remotely monitor and/or control this labview application individually. But if my coworker has the remote panel displayed on his PC and I try to get the remote panel on my PC, I get a labview error (63) as below:
"LabVIEW: Serial port receive buffer overflow.
LabVIEW: The network connection was refused by the server."
My question is: Can multiple PCs access one remote panel at the same time?

In the adf-faces-config.xml file you can add a right-to-left tag.
