Klipsch Pro Media GMX D-5.1 on a 2 zs

the only speakers that output sound in 5.1 are the front left and front right correctly. the others still display sound, just not the way it's intended. in games, my center and two rears don't do the proper sounds neither. like when a person is talking and i walk away, i can't hear their speech and when i'm face to face with someone, their voice is distant (front l/r working but not front center). when playing regular sound, music, etc... all the speakers work (i guess this is that css or some crap mode?). as i was saying, i see this is a huge common problem for people with this setup. why is it so difficult and hard? what is wrong? who's the fault? who needs to die for such heartache?
this is really pissing me off; whether it's the audigy or klipsch.

AC3 sound is the encoded stream on DVDs as well. What you're experiencing with music/games/speakertest is normal. That set has optical and coaxial inputs, if you're using either of those, that's normal. Those connections/cables can only pass over an encoded stream (AC3) or stereo PCM. • Sound Blaster Z and Klipsch Pro Media 5.1 help!

I just installed a Sound Blaster Z in my new PC. I had a X-Fi Xtreme Music in the old PC. I use Klipsch Pro Media 5.1 speakers that have the little pod that let's you adjust speaker levels, volume, and I had my headphones running through it. Now if I set the Z Control Panel to Headphones I can't get any sound through headphones using the Klipsch "pod". If I install my headphones into the card or front panel headphone connector they work. Does anyone know how to set it up so they work with the Klipsch "pod"?

Yeah I got it working that way. It's weird that they have it so if you pick headphones, you now have to actually use the headphone connection. Well not weird, that actually makes sense, just not how it was.
I'm not sure what, if any, difference in sound between the headphone setting and 2 channel speakers are.

  • Pro-Media Plug-in Error

I have a Powerbook G4 with Leopard & FCS 2. I've recently had several errors when trying to burn a disc in DVDSP2. After hitting "burn," the program will crash and say that it was likely caused by "the pro-media plug-in."
    How do I fix this?

Yes, it does seem related to having Motion files in the timeline.
I was able to circumvent it by right-clicking each Motion file in the timeline, and choosing "open in Editor".
This brings up the associated Motion project, which I then close without saving.
I am then able to render in FCP without crashing.
I'm guessing that this procedure re-establishes the link between the Motion project, the clip in the timeline, and the associated render media.
    Hope this helps.

  • Pro Media Plugin

I am attempting to render a Motion project in FCP and it will render for a little while then FCP will shut down. It is telling me that the problem is the result of an issue with a Pro Media Plugin. I have tried several times to re-start FCP and my computer. I also reopened the Motion project and saved it again, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
    David

Oh boy, this is a huge problem for me. My work around has basically quadrupled the amount of time it takes me to render and export sequences.
I have an HDV 1080p24 sequence that I have the render control set to Pro Res (HQ). The sequence is absolutely chock-full of motion projects that are scattered throughout all of my HDV video (overlay graphics, image stabilizes etc.)
My only work around was basically the same as a previous poster: render for about a minute, cancel the render, repeat, until I had rendered my entire 21 minute sequence. Since I have figured out that rendering work around, I have also discovered that the fully rendered sequence won't export without crashing either, so I have had to export the 21 minutes in about 3-4 minute chunks, re import those lossless quicktime movies into a master sequence and then export that out as a lossless quicktime and then compress that for web distribution using compressor.
My workflow used to be just exporting to compressor......eat a cold pop-tart.......done. On to the next project.
I have gotten a great deal of error messages referring to plug ins that I have no clue where or if they exist, including: Pro Core plugin, Lithium plugin, pro-media plugin, pro-graphics plugin.
If anyone has any clue how to even begin fixing this before my next project (which I have to begin editing in two days) please, any help would be fantastic.
By the way, I am running the latest version of FCP, Motion 3, and OSX (I know, I shouldn't have updated and rather just left everything in its previous happy configuration)

  • I want to know if I can backup my Ipad to an external harddrive. I have a pc with xp pro media edition and a partitioned hard drive with very little space on C and lots on D. I am trying to update my Ipad to 5.1.1 and it says it needs 12  gb to backup.

I have a Sony Vaio desktop PC with a partitioned hard drive, running Windows XP Pro. There is 13 gb on C drive with the OS, and 140 gb left on D drive. I am  trying to update my Original Ipad from 4.3.4 to 5.1.1 and because C drive is full ( I have moved everything that can be moved to D drive) mostly from Microsoft updates over the years, I am unable to do  the backup Itunes is telling me I have to do to update or lose all media on this iPad. 12.67 gb is required to do the backup and I have a whopping 965.2 MB.  I can not get the cloud to use as backup as it requires 5.0 or better. Does anyone know if I can back up to D drive,  and if so how? Also, I have a 1 terrabyte WD mini external hard drive I just got as a gift...could I do the backup to it and, again, if so, how? Please explain from start to finish, as my brain is now fried from, first from finally getting Itunes updated to 10.6 ,and now trying to do this update. Thanks to anyone for their help!!

iOS device backups are stored in your iTunes library.
Move your iTunes library to an external drive.

    2.using sysprep to create clone
    3. created 3 copy of the file

    4.on DC created domain
    5.joined node1 and node2 to domain
    6.created cluster
When I was going to install SQL server from ISO to node1 and node2 I noticed that in media action option to attach disk is not available (it show no disk to display) on node1 and node2
However on DC machine  I can attach ISO disk!
Why option to attach disk is not available on other machine and how make it available?
Currently I access disk from node1 and2  from domain using \\DC\D\setup.exe

few days ago I created 3 VM with Win2008R2 server (join then on domain and created cluster),add disk optiion availbale on all win2008R2 machines
    Thank you

    Hi AlexMtl,
Based on my knowledge , physical DVD only can be mapped to IDE controller in VM .
"you can only assign the physical CD/DVD drive to one VM at the same time (running VM)."

Gen2 VM can add DVD device attach to SCSI controller and insert .ISO file (this file should be used by multiple VMs ).

  • Problem exporting with Premiere Pro/Media Encoder CS4

Hey there. I've got 15-minute long movie edited in Premiere. Whenver I've tried rendering/exporting to see what the final product looks like, Media Encoder will usually freeze up about halfway through encoding. The time estimated/time elapsed will freeze, and if I cancel the encoding the program freezes up.
Other times I will get an error that says "encode failed because the source duration is nil". Not sure what that means, but the render arrows in the work area are never set to zero.
Additionally, I've tried exporting different lengths of the project only to have the same results, with Media Encoder failing each time.
Any suggestions on how to fix the problem?
My footage is in .mp4 format, and I'm also exporting to the same format. I've got numerous music and voiceover files as well. Resolution when exporting is 1280x720, and the max bitrate is 7.0mbps.
It seems more like a software problem than a lack of adaquate hardware, but I'm running a laptop with Windows 7 64-bit with a 2.0 GHz CPU and 8GB of RAM - I'm not sure how to find out what kind of video card I have.
Thanks for any assistance, it is greatly appreciated!

You are a music conductor, with a baton that you use to point to various parts of the orchestra... this is like Windows pointing to various parts of the hard drive to do Windows housekeeping or to load program segments for various functions
Now, at the same time and with the same hand... while still using the baton to conduct the orchestra... pick up a bow and play a fiddle... this would be doing something with your video file at the same time as all the other work
You as a person cannot do both at the same time with the same hand
A computer is a LITTLE better, in that it can switch from one kind of task to another very quickly... but not quickly enough for EASY video editing
You need AT LEAST two hard drives (separate drives, never a partition http://forums.adobe.com/thread/650708?tstart=0 for more) with Windows (or Mac OS) and software on your boot drive, and video files on a 2nd drive so the boot drive is not slowed down by trying to do everything
I find that the three drives I use work very well for me, for editing AVCHD video... some people use a 4th drive, so video INPUT files are on drive three and all OUTPUT files are on drive four... I only bought a mid-tower case instead of a full tower case (my bad... but had to fit in the space available on my office desk!) so I use the three drives that will fit
Depending on your exact hardware (motherboard brand & model AND USB2 enclosure brand & model AND external hard drive brand & model) AND the type of video file, you may... or may NOT... be able to use an external USB2 hard drive for SD (Standard Definition) video editing

  • Premiere Pro/Media Encoder Too Slow with Mavericks

HELP ME, HELP ME, HELP ME!!!
I'm still running Mavericks on a late 2013 iMac-- I've got almost 300GB free on hard drive. Configuration is Mavericks/3.5GHz i7/32GB RAM/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2048MB with CUDA enabled.
It's taking a half an hour to render 5 minute clips and over an hour to export them...sometimes an hour and a half.
I'm about to lose my mind, not to mention a client.
I can upgrade to Yosemite--I figured I'd wait til the bugs were gone--but according to everything I read on the web, that option is no better for creative cloud.
Despite the fact that Mac is a widely installed system in the creative world, it seems like Adobe has put us on the back shelf, and continues to crank out software that we desperately need but that won't run on a professional level on our systems. I tried to research this problem on the internet--all I could find is desperate creatives looking for solutions that just aren't there. [sorry for the rant]
I need real help, now. Please advise, and thanks.

    Hello VaughnByrd21,
It's taking a half an hour to render 5 minute clips and over an hour to export them...sometimes an hour and a half.
Can you post a screenshot of your export settings dialog box?
...it seems like Adobe has put us on the back shelf, and continues to crank out software that we desperately need but that won't run on a professional level on our systems.
Have you adjusted the permissions of your Adobe folders? Updating OS X can change them randomly: Premiere Pro CC, CC 2014, or 2014.1 freezing on startup or crashing while working (Mac OS X 10.9, and later)
NVIDIA drivers are not doing very well lately either with CUDA and Mac OS X Yosemite. For sure, switch both Premiere Pro and AME to OpenCL mode until they fix those drivers.
These issues have more to do with OS X and NVIDIA drivers, nothing to do with Adobe applications—so it's not always our fault when things go wrong.
You should also try deleting your media cache, which you can find in Preferences > Media (click the Browse button). That fixes a lot of issues.
Please also consider trashing preferences and repairing disk permissions.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Premiere Pro / Media Encoder crash during encoding

Afternoon guys, wonder if anyone has any tips on how to solve my issue. It's a new pc that I'm working on, my first project on it, everything working great in terms of the edit, but crashing whilst encoding both through Premiere Pro and Media Encoder with an error message (below). I'm not great with this stuff so please let me know if I need to provide more info and I'll provide much information as I can.
    I'm a creative cloud user.
-Premiere Pro cs 6 (6.0.3) - I have tried to re-install the software, and ran all the updates yesterday after the install. Problem still persists.
    -Encoder cs6 (6.0.3.1)
-Windows 7 Professional service pack 1, 64bit. Whilst I was online re-installing Premiere Pro windows did some updates (I generally keep my editing pc's offline).
-DSLR footage (.mov) for video, up to 3 sources of video (nested for multicam shoot) and running one source of audio (mp3 file). Two of the timelines I'm trying to encode are about 45 minutes long.. I have succesfully encoded other clips (a 5 minute, and a 35 minute previously. Miraculously this morning I encoded a 1h12m clip using the mpeg2-dvd preset with only adjustment of quality bumped from 4 to 5). So this was encoded after all the updates, however since then everything else is not working.
-Initially encoder was either freezing, or giving me an error message. Since re-installing all the software yesterday it now does not freeze, but I get the error message: "Adobe Media Encoder CS6.0 has stopped working... A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I get the same message when encoding with both AME and Premiere Pro.  I click "close" from here and nothing else happens.
-Trying to export to mpeg2-dvd, I have tried the PAL widescreen preset, as well as trying to adjust the settings, doesn't seem to make a difference, the error message pops up different points during encoding.
-The only plugin I have used is magic bullet looks for some grading. It also fails to encode with no plugins used.
    -PC     - Intel i7-3770 @ 3.40ghz,
              - 32GB ram
              - Operating system and Adobe Suite on c: (SSD 240gb)
              - Project source footage (video, audio, etc) f: (2tb)
              - Encoding files to e: (SSD 240gb)
              - my case is an Antec 902, with no additional fans. It does sound like it's working harder during encoding, not sure if a heat issue could be causing the software to error?
-I am using the mercury playback engine with a Gefore gtx 680 (2gb).
I have not been able to find any definitive answeres with regard to the crashes. I did also have encoder hanging whilst reading the xmp file. I have tried encoding video only (audio disabled) and whilst it doesn't hang during reading of xmp file, it still stops working with the above error message.
I also run an older PC with i920, 24gig, gtx570 and it never crashes but performs much slower. It is also running windows 7, same setup but different hardware. Not sure if the hardware on my new pc could be causing the issues, if you you guys have any troubleshooting tips it would be much appreciated. At this point i have tried starting a new project, new timelines, nothing seems to work, so I have transferred the data to my old pc for encoding (as I need to deliver the discs to a client), but I need to get this new setup working properly.
    Cheers,
    Stevan

    Hi Axel,
Thanks for your suggestions, I just tried cleaning out the media cache and also rendered out a wav file of the audio and placed it in the timeline and deleted the mp3 version.. Tried once again to encode an mpeg2-dvd file.
1st attempt encoding through Media Encoder, pal widescreen with variable bit rate set to 6, 7 and 8 = everything froze, had to restart via button.
2nd attempt encoding through Media Encoder = this time tried video only same settings just no audio = same error (Adobe Media Encoder cs6.0 has stopped working...)
3rd attempt encoding through Premiere Pro, same settings with audio = same error message.
4th attempt encoding through Media Encoder, pal wide preset as standard with no change = same error message.
5th attempt encoding through Media Encoder, h264 preset for vimeo, 720p = same error message.
6th attempt encoding through Media Encoder, AVI (Uncompressed) 720 x 480 preset. 1m40s in the dreaded blue screen appeared. "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval. " Bla bla bla.
In all instances the encoding is absolutely flying, but always ends up crashing.

  • Premiere Pro/Media Encoder fail when exporting something with AE linked?

Hey all, I do some video production work for a university, and we're running into some problems when trying to export all the videos from a particularly large course.  We haven't run into this issue before so I'm hoping someone might have knowledge of it and can help me out.
    Here's some background-
I'm trying to export videos, about 20 minutes each.  Each video has an opening sequence and closing sequence that were created in After Effects and are Dynamic linked in the right spots on the timeline.
We're encoding with Vimeo HD 720p 29.97 settings.
Media Encoder gets through one pass seemingly just fine, and then a little after halfway through encoding it stops (doesn't crash, just stops encoding any further) and crashes when attempting to stop the queue.
It's a pain to export from After Effects and re drag in all the sequences, so our workflow keeps all exporting Premiere -> Media Encoder.
EDIT: Can't believe I forgot to mention this- works fine exporting directly from a timeline in Premiere, it's only when Media Encoder is used that issues arise- but it's unfeasible to export 30 videos from the timeline.
EDIT: Done some more testing over the course of the day.  I can add After Effects files to a AME queue and encode them with the Vimeo settings and it makes it through both passes, correctly exporting the videos.  It just doesn't work when those same compositions are exported as linked compositions in a Premiere Pro timeline.
Some things I've tried with no success:
Exporting the After Effects files separately does not work, it hangs even if only exporting the after effects segments.(20 seconds each).
I've turned off CUDA and done software only, still hangs.
I've tried dragging/adding from Media Encoder/any number of different workflows to get the sequences from Premiere to After Effects.
I've tried exporting with different settings: (e.g. non Vimeo HD 720p 29.97), still hangs (doesn't even start encoding, doesn't get halfway).
    Any ideas?

I experienced this at one point.  Searching the WEB I saw suggestions that there was a problem with a recent version of Quicktime.  (I have no idea why the quicktime player would have an impact.)  However, reverting to an earlier version of Quicktime fixed the problem.  Search this board using quicktime as a search phase.  The quicktime web site allows you to download the earlier versions.  I'm not at my editing machine, but I believe that I am at version 7.5.2.

  • Mac Pro Media Centre

I want to turn my 1 Year old 2.66 MP into a media centre serving the rest of the portable macs in the house as well as being hooked up to the main HDTV in my living room. The TV is also hooked up to my cable providers box.
In a nutshell I want it to be able to:
    1. Play DVDs etc on the HDTV like Front Row does (However I will not install a hack to make this work)
    2. Record stuff from the TV, not bothered about Tivo type optons (This is he bit confusing me)
    3. Show photos on the HDTV using something like Front Row (However I will not install a hack to make this work)
    4. Be connected to the laptops via Airport (I have this bit covered)
I have the 7300GT DVI card in it, do I just need a DVI > HDMI cable to make the hardware work? I have looked at the Elgato software but could do with some recommendations there BTW.
Is this feasable to do, or do I need extra PCI cards for the Mac Pro?

Well I'm not sure I understand every question, but here goes with some suggestions and answers.
Connecting your Mac Pro to your HDTV should in most instances be a simple process. Most HDTV's have a VGA style connection for a PC (or Mac). They also have an HDMI input. You can use either. In one case you use the DVI to VGA adapter that came with your Mac. For the other you use a DVI to HDMI adapter available from third parties.
One important note. Some HDTV's may not support native resolution on all inputs. Example, your HDTV may be 1080p capable on the HDMI input, but support a lower resolution on the VGA input. For best results you want to run your video at the HDTV's native resolution, so check your TV's manual.
Recording will dependent on what type of hardware you have for video input. One option for you if you have cable, is to use a cable HD set top box that has a firewire output. This output will contain the uncompressed HD video stream, which can be recorded directly onto your Mac using D-VCR like software, which Apple happens to have available from their development site. With this arrangement you can record a HD video stream and play it back. The only real thing lacking is there are no embedded time codes in the video stream. This mean you can't jump around the video easily.
Other recording options include devices from Elgatao and others. Which you want to use will depend on what type of video source you have, cable, Over the Air, FIOS, etc. the EyeTV 250 plus is a good choice for basic video recording, and the HDHomeRun is a good choice for over the air digital and HD or Clear QAM cable broadcasts.
As for pictures, that is one of the functions of Front Row, so use Front Row.
As far as playing DVD's... put the DVD in the Mac and use either Apples DVD player or VLC or use Front Row its up to you.
Your video card is more then sufficient for HD playback, no need to do anything with it.

  • How can I encode my film sequences, using OSX Mac version of Premiere Pro & Media Encoder? for WMV

Hello Everyone, I have a slight issue. I'm runnning CS6 Premiere Pro and adobe media encoder both on the Mac OSX system. I'm trying to encode or output my file as a WMV so it can be used using the Window media player on the PC windows. I can't find the option to do that. Strangely, I have seen this setting on the Window version of CS suite and can't understand why it has been excluded from the MAc version. Please can someone advise in some detail on how to encode the for WMV using the MAC version of the Creative Suite? Much appreciate. And no I don't know what losslessly compressed master means as mentioned in a previous forums. PLEASE HELP. THANKS GUYS.

You need a plugin called Flip4Mac to create a wmv on a Mac
    It plugs in to Quicktime.
WMV is generally unavailable on MAcs cos its a Windows thing ( Windows Media Video)
just like PorRes is not available generally on a Windows system.

For the longest time if I ever tried to export or render a video longer than 5 minutes, my Premiere Pro or Media Encoder crashes. I don't know why but it is EXTREMELY irritating when attempting to make lengthened gaming videos. I have tried 15 different methods all online, to no avail. It always crashes around the 40% mark in Adobe Premiere and it isn't a corrupt project. I have literally tried everything to no avail and I finally decided I would turn here to ask for help. I reset the preferences, tried copying and pasting into a new sequence, tried reinstalling Premiere... the whole bit.
