KM ADC with multi select KM Properties

Hi
I am using the KM ADC, with some cusotm KM properties.
It was working fine, except when I added a new KM property which has multi select option.
While looking in the logs, I am getting NA for this property.
Have anyone experienced the same?
Is it a limitation in the KM ADC?

BP

No yaar...
It seems to be a bug in ADC.
Let some SAP guys comment on this ...

  • File Browser with multi select....

Is it possible to have a file browser with multi- select??? I have several (possibly dozens) of files in a directory that I'd like to up load using a file browser style item, but be able to select several at a time to up load rather that doing them on at a time. Is this possible???

Different idea, look at this thread, where you could just have multiple file upload capacity in a form.. The multi-select with browser I believe is NOT possible with current version of APEX.

  • Upgrade to 10.1.3.4: Problems with multi-select list

    Hi,
We upgraded from BiseSEone (10.1.3.2) to 10.1.3.4 (using BI EE). One of the features we were longing for was the improved multi-select list in the dashboard prompts (with a efficient search support). But after the Installation the multi-select list doesn't work at all. There are no data offered and the frames are missing. What could be go wrong here ? There were no problems during the installation. I told the installation to keep the configurations.

  • SSRS Report with mutli select values in parameters

    Hi All,
I am creating a SSRS report and displaying the result in tablix. I want to make the report to filter by multi select values from the parameters.
I have 3 parameters. For all the three parameters, I have set "Default  Values" and "Available Values". Also, modified my result dataset to get the values from parameters using "WHERE ID = @Parameter1" (example) and so
    on..
3 Parameters types:   1. Yes or No
    2. Date          3. Values with NULL in the DB
    Problems:
    1. When I am passing the default values "Yes" "No" - it is throwing errors because default values is passed as Yes "AND" No instead of "OR" condition. The value stored in the DB wil have either Yes or No but not both.
    2. When I am querying the date values, it is a DateTime field in the DB. But I have queried like SELECT CONVERT(DATE, EXE_DATE) AS DATE FROM table which is giving only date in SQL but in SSRS displaying date with time.
    3. When I pull the list of values for third Parameter from SQL, it has some NULL values. When I try to use it in SSRS, it is not displaying the NULL value as select option in the list of values
Any suggestions for the above three problems for SSRS with multi select values as filter will be helpful.
    Maruthu | My Blog

    Hi Maruthi,
    Regarding the three things:
1.) I believe your first parameter is mutliselect , please convert it to single select.
    Steps:
a.) Select the parameter, right click and go to parameter properties
b.) Under General Tab in DataType section remove the checkbox for Allow Multiple Value.
2.) Instead of returning as the date please return string. For example :
    SELECT CONVERT(VARCHAR, GETDATE(),101)
Here is the list of conversion : http://www.sqlusa.com/bestpractices/datetimeconversion/
3.) As such there is no concept of null in SSRS. (Its a relational concept) . We do have nothing , which means empty. In Order to use null please select the Allow null option in the DataType section of the Parameter, This will add an checkbox for null in
the report preview. Its developer job to handle the null values in there query.

  • ADF Table Multi Select Issue

    Hi,
I have a read only table with multi select and a panel form based on the same VO. The from has editable component through which the user modifies the data.
When the user selects a single row in the table -> the form shows the corresponding data.
When the user selects multiple rows using cntrl key say ROW_1, ROW_2, ROW_3 the form displays data of ROW_3.
However after this if i click on ROW_1(single row selection) , the form still shows the data of ROW_3. How to show the correct data in from
    My Jdev 11.1.1.4
    Thanks
    Ajay

Well, your use case is somewhat problematic. It doesn't make sense to have an edit form together with a multi select table, as the user can't be sure which row data he sees in the edit form.
This said, you need to know, that the af:table has two properties which should not used together: SelectionListener, selectecRowKey should not used with rowSelection="multiple".
For multiple select table you should not populate these properties. (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/web.1111/b31974/web_tables_forms.htm#sthref2010)
You can e.g. add a column to your table containing a link to allow edit of the row. Then you can use multi selection the normal way.

  • Multi Selection from a List Box to a Text Box

So I want to be able to make Multi Selections within List box and export it to the Text box. Right now I have a Script running on the cal of the Text Box
    event.value = getField("LISTBOX").valueAsString;
Which is able to do one selection but I cant find anybody that can grab two selecitons and put into a text box with commas for something. Is there a way to do this?
    -Zach

Wow over my head a little. I understand what an array is with script but not how to write the script to handle it. I made this:
    event.value = getField("LISTBOX").value;
But still no change in the behavior with multi selections. Example below if you want to check it out.

  • SSRS 2012 multi select parameter not working in Report Manager.

    Hello,
I have one report with Multi select parameter. its working fine in bids, report server but I am facing some issue on report manager 2012.
Issue is, In Multi select parameter I have Suppose 6 value a,b,c,d,e,f  after the deployment on report manager for the first time report is working fine with selecting all the value. but for the second time if my selection include either
a or f report gives no result and check box get unselect.
I also try on different report manager but same result.
what can be a issue here causing problem only for two value but working fine for other value?
    Thanks,

    Hi Javed,
The Issue is with when you click on View Report button of Report Manager for Parameters which contain CHAR(10) and CHAR(13).
Where ever that Column is used in Report Data Set ,
    Use replace(replace(Param,char(10),''),char(13),'')  function.

  • Reporting on a Multi-Select list field X:Y:Z

I'm sure someone must have come across this problem but I can't find a reference to it on the forum.
    PROBLEM
I have a data entry form with multi-select lists. Users choose a number of display values and the return values are stored in the field in the format
    20:30:50
When I create an SQL report on a row, there is no option to Display the column as a "multi-select list" like there is with a standard List of Values.
How do I report the display lookup values rather than the return code?
Is it possible to display the selected values in a report for example
    red
    orange JOHN 10-JAN-07
    green
    red
    orange MARY 12-FEB-07
    orange
    green MARK 13-JUL-07
    regards
    Paul P

    Paul,
I have several examples on this topic:
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:87
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:84
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:75
Basically, you will need to create a table out of your colon separated values and then
join this table with other tables to be able to display it however you want.
What just comes to my mind is that Dietmar presented a nice workarround for a similar
    problem here:

  • Multi-select LOV bug and Developer6i R2 Patch7

Has anyone verified that Patch7 corrects the problem with multi-
select LOV bug (see below). The Headstart6i Report Launch form
(QMS0012F) exhibits this bug (when using the demo reports for
example) and we were unsuccessful applying the workaround (see
below). We will upgrade to Patch7 if this bug is fixed or we
could use a little help from the HeadStart team correcting the
Report Launch form to get around this bug. Thanks, Keith
We have found one odd quirk with Headstart 6i and Forms
    6i versions 6.0.13 and higher.
    Description ===========
    1. When using a multi-select LOV (which is displayed in a modal
dialog window), you select the records you want, press OK, and
    the application exits.
    2. When using a shuttle control to move records from left to
right or vice versa, you select the records you want, press '>'
to move them, and the application exits. This occurs in Forms
6.0.8.13.0 and higher. It did NOT occur in prior releases. This
is some kind of forms bug.
    Workaround ==========
For some reason the call to procedure 'renumber' in
qms$msel.process_records in qmslib65.pll causes the application
to exit. If you copy the code from renumber to all the places
from which it is called, it works fine.

So far as I know, this bug has not yet been corrected.
You will have to apply the fix as described in your email
    message.

  • Multi-select prompt and variable

    Hello!
I have a table function (which is my data source) that has a number of input parameters and the problem is with multi-select prompt because it doesn't support setting a value in a variable (OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1.). Can I somehow get a list of selected items from multi-select prompt and pass it as one string (value) to my request variable? Or maybe you have any other idea?
I've searched old posts but I couldn't find solution to my problem regarding this issue.
    Tnx a lot!

  • Is it possible to Add to Multi-Select Lov through Customization?

    Hi All,
I have a Oracle Seeded page( Oracle Training Administrator).
Clients wants a new field with Multi-Select LOV on that.
Is is possible to create Multi-Select LOV through Customization or changing the page in JDeveloper?
As per OAF Developer guide, Multi-Select Lov on single field in not possible and their is topic on 'Multi-Select on Advance Table'.
Please guide me, is it possible? If Yes, steps to achieve this will be great help for me.

That is correct you can only add a normal LOv through personalization and not a multi select LOV.

  • Pass values fromSharePoint list multi-selection list box to Infopath Multi-selection list box and back

    Design overview:
    List A
    InfoPath Library - Form A
    SharePoint Designer workflow
    List A has a multi-selection column with multi-values.
Form A has fields populated from the data in List A by using a data connection in the form.  I have a workflow that updates the values or creates a new item in List A. All fields work except the mufti-selection. The multi-selection has ;# separating
the values and I am having trouble setting the list box properly(checking of the selecting values) instead it concats all values on one line. I basically need to get the multi-selection column from list 1  to show exactly in the Form A and be able to
update the selection with the workflow. I can do this with single values with no problem. the multi-selection list is difficult. I read somewhere I can use a repeating table but I am not sure the workflow will work with that. That is only a read and not
    a write.

Wow over my head a little. I understand what an array is with script but not how to write the script to handle it. I made this:

  • Multi-select Listbox selections from jsp to servlet

    Hi,
I have a jsp page with a multi-select listbox. I need to take the selections that the user makes and pass them back to a servlet, which then needs to format them for the where clause of my sql select query. I have worked with multi-select boxes before, but just moving the selections between listboxes never using the selections in a where clause of a sql query. Can someone give me some guidance on this subject or point me to some documentation? Thanks much!

Don't muck about with fancy stuff in the HTML, just let the list box act like any other form component.
Probably you aren't using the right methods to get the data from the request. Did you try getParameterValues("listboxname")? Did you try getParameterMap() to see what parameters were coming into your servlet?

  • Problem with Headstart Multi-Select LOV

    Hi,
I'm working on a few forms which should include a Multi-Select
LOV. Now here's the problem: One MSEL doesn't close; you can
select record(s), the LOV returns them, but doesn't disappear.
    Clicking Cancel doesn't help.
Another MSEL-problem in another form: if you click Select All,
this selection isn't visible in the MSEL. He returns all of the
records, but it looks like he only selected one. Working with
CTRL to select more than one record doesn't work either. This
    one closes fine.
As you know I have to include module component
    QMS_MSEL_LOV_BUTTONS (which includes all button-functionality),
and then it should work, but it doesn't.
We've checked all the properties and they seem to be correct. It
isn't the first time we encountered these problems. We always
rebuilt the MSEL LOV, but it doesn't help this time.
Has anyone got an idea what's causing this problem.
P.S. There are also MSEL LOV's which operate just fine, without
any problems; only these two are doing strange things.
    Thx,
    Wouter

Workaround provided by Lauri Boyd seems to have worked:
A bug (#1985903) was introduced in Forms 6.0.8.13.0 and later which affected Headstart. This was fixed in Headstart patch 6.5.2.1 which is available through the Supplement Option.
    Description
    ===========
    1. When using a multi-select LOV (which is displayed in a modal dialog
window), you select the records you want, press OK, and the application exits.
    2. When using a shuttle control to move records from left to right or vice
versa, you select the records you want, press '>' to move them, and the
    application exits.
This occurs in Forms 6.0.8.13.0 and 6.0.8.14.1. It did NOT occur in prior
releases. This is some kind of forms bug.
    Workaround
    ==========
For some reason the call to procedure renumber in qms$msel.process_records
causes the application to exit. If you copy the code from renumber to all the
places from which it is called, it works fine.
    - open qmslib65.pll in Form Builder
    - open package body qms$msel
    - find procedure process_records and define a local variable l_recno of type
    number.
    - find local procedure renumber and copy the body of this procedure
    (everything
    after 'begin' and before 'exception').
    - replace each call to 'renumber;' with the copied code.

    Lauri
