KM for Siebel CRM

Hi, does anyone know if ODI has a KM (RKM,IKM, LKM) for Siebel CRM?
Where I may found it?

Hi,
I would guess you can use any SQL KM, but I also think you may be looking for metadata integration. I don't know if there is anything in ODI, but Oracle does provide a Siebel connector in its OWB product (only good if you are mainly using Oracle as a target).
There are also integrators (I think that is what it is called) in the Middleware integration packages, I think they are geared towards messaging.
So those are I think the options you have.

  • EDQ Address Verification level mode supported for Siebel CRM

    Hi,
We are in process of implementing Oracle Enterprise Data quality for SIebel CRM Public sector 8.2.2.4 version for our client and are awaiting license. We have few questions on how Address verification process works with Loqate postal files and how the validated address will be updated back in Siebel. I observed in few documentations that the Address verification level can be set to Verify or Match where Verify mode will return only one validated address in response and Match will return multiple close matched address along with the match score as a response.
Can you please let me know if Siebel with EDQ AV supports both Verify and Match mode? Any information around this question or the document which talks more about this feature is highly appreciated. Thanks for the assistance
    Regards
    Siva Sonti

    Hi,
I cannot comment on the UCM roadmap since it is not under my remit.
    Re. your questions:
    1. EDQ returns a fair amount of information back in the response and any of the attributes can be returned to Siebel and displayed by customizing the mappings to the service. This includes a textual description of the verification code and an indication based on the verification level and the configured thresholds that shows whether or not the address was corrected/enhanced (verified = Y/N). See example below.
    2. Yes, if you require a V (Verified) result with a minimum level of 4, you will be correcting addresses if they are verified to premise or subpremise level. If a subpremise was input but could not be verified you would get a P4 (partially verified to premise level) result, or if there were several possible subpremises that it fuzzy matched, you would get an A4 (ambiguously verified to level 4) result, which you could choose to accept or suppress based on the 'allowedverificationresultcodes' threshold.

  • Knowledge modules for siebel CRM

    Hi all,
can anyone give me the details about downloading knowledge modules for loading data into siebel CRM.
whether i can download it from the oracle website?..
i tried but i couldn't get the correct path...
    any suggestions will be helpful.
    Thanks,
    imus

    Hi Bouch,
    Thanks for your response.
I got the patches(Knowledge modules for siebel CRM) from the metalink.
I need to know the use of Siebel Knowledge Modules in ODI. I am new to SIEBEL Environment.
According to me, SIEBEL is an application which access data from a database. So to transfer data to Siebel, we can transfer the data to EIM tables which will be a normal oracle (target) transformation.
So what is the use of SIEBEL knowledge modules. Definetly there will be some specific in it.
    please suggest me.
    Thanks in Advance,

  • Order To Cash - Product Catalog Siebel CRM Design

    Hi There
I'm trying to implement OOTB solution for "Oracle Communications Order To Cash", I've already deployed and configured sucessfully the following items:
    -Oracle OSM O2A Cartridges
-Oracle Communications Order to Cash Integration Pack for Oracle Communications Order and Service Management
-Oracle Communications Order to Cash Integration Pack for Siebel CRM
-Oracle Communications Order to Cash Integration Pack for Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management
In the document "Guidelines for Building an Order to Activate Integrated Business Process Using AIA for Communications Foundation Pack 2.4" I found two Use Cases described in the OracleComms_OSM_O2A_SalesOrders_Sample:
-Double Play Promotion First-Time Purchase - Sales Order 10000
-Double Play Change Order - Sales Order 10030
In the document above I found the "Broadband-VoIP Double Play Commercial Offering" where is detailed the Components that we need to create in Siebel CRM and that's great.
But right now I have two questions to ask you:
1 - Can I get the Use Cases for the anothers scenarios conteined in the OracleComms_OSM_O2A_SalesOrders_Sample for example:
    - Double Play Promotion change orders for broadband - Sales Order 10010
    - Double Play Promotion change orders for VoIP - Sales Order 10020
Where a product is moved from one offer to another, those are complex scenarios that we have to Design in Siebel CRM ... The purpose is to define a Comercial Product Catalog that support that kind of actions that we have.
2 - Can I get the Billing Catalog design that supports that solution ?
Checking the Sample XML that we have in OSM Sample orders for the scenario "Double Play Promotion First-Time Purchase - Sales Order 10000" we could see in the /ItemReference/ClasificationCode elements a structure that looks like:
    /account
         |
         ---- /service/broadband
         ---- /service/email
         ---- /service/content
         ---- /service/telco/VOIP
But we think that we need a service that groups both of the products asociated to the offer (Broadband, Voip) and we concibed something like that:
    /account
         |
         /service
              |
              ---- /service/broadband
              ---- /service/email
              ---- /service/content
              ---- /service/telco/VOIP
But we need to have certainty about the design of catalogues in both systems (BRM, CRM)
If anyone can help me I'll be greatful.
    Thank's in advance.
    AndresG

Is there any error in the logfiles that points to a solution? Did you follow the instructions from the install document.

  • Reporting on Siebel CRM data in BW

    Hi Gurus,
We have a new requirement coming up where we need to develop BW reporting for Siebel CRM Data. I do not know the exact requirements yet, but I need to address the way of apporaching this. Basically the clients wants to implement all CRM reporting in BW.
Please share any docs or links that talk about this issue. IS DBConnect the way to go?
    pls suggest
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
as I already did BW reporting on Siebel data I can just explain what we did.
We connected the Siebel system to BW via DBConnect. Then we created views on the required tables to use them as extractors. The data was posted via full upload to ODS-Objects first with update mode overwrite. From there we were able to do a delta to the cubes.
    Hope this helps!
    regards
    Siggi

  • Siebel CRM On Demand User Group

Not sure if this specifically fits under this particular forum but...
Does anyone know if there is a specific Siebel CRM On Demand Users Group? I am aware of the Oracle Application Users Group etc, but I'm not sure if it caters for the On Demand model of Siebel, or just the Enterprise model.
If anyone knows which group(s) serve Siebel CRM On Demand users either globally, regionally or locally (especially in Australia), please post the details.
    Regards,
    Cameron

    Hi Kathy,
I believe a users group would be beneficial in APAC (particularly in regional locations e.g. Australia, New Zealand etc).
I would see it serving multiple roles -:
    1. To act as a forum for Siebel CRM On Demand users to share their collective knowledge and experience with the product.
    2. To act as a collective voice for Siebel CRM On Demand users.
    3. To act as a conduit for communication from Oracle to their customers, and in turn from the customer to Oracle.
    4. To promote and facilitate educational offerings and training opportunities.
    5. To promote and facilitate networking opportunities.
In a nut shell, it should serve to promote Knowledge, Advocacy, Communication, Education and Networking.
If I'm not mistaken, such groups exist and represent the user base of just about every product that Oracle sells except for Siebel CRM On Demand. I feel that it is important for the Siebel CRM On Demand user base to be able to benefit from a users group similarly representing them.
That being said, I can understand why you would have conflicting opinions on the usefulness of such a tool in APAC. As a region, Asia Pacific is particularly diverse and as such, a users group would have to be capable of representing the interests and needs of each unique demographic.
    Regards,
    Cameron.

  • Siebel CRM v6 Adapters available?

I have a project that needs integration with Siebel CRM v6. I have no experience with connecting to a Siebel backend and I was wondering what are my options? Is there an official JCA adapter for Siebel CRM? Are there external APIs that are already available (perhaps web services)?
Any pointers or information would be much appreciated!
Btw, I can't find any documentation at all about this product!
    Thanks!

Mark, sorry about that. No, its more from a generic app server (think Bea, IBM, JBoss) etc. I was thinking along the idea of a JCA adapter. However, the backend apparently has some custom APIs that I need to tie into. I'm not sure where to start...I look at the link below...
Are there generic adapters such as a JCA one that I could use from a compliant Java EE platform?

  • RDBMS for Siebel

    Hi All,
IHAC who is evaluating RDBMS for Siebel CRM. They have to choose a database among Oracle DB & IBM DB2. Can anyone please share some pointer / influence points for Oracle DB? Also comparision between pureScale & RAC will be beneficial.
Moreover, what is the future roadmap of Siebel support / certification for non-Oracle databses?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Farrukh

    Hi,
Clear best choice is Oracle DBMS. Far superior to anything else. Don’t even think about anything other than Oracle DBMS.
