KM news archive

Hi everybody,
I would like to create a link from the RenderListItem of a view in an XML form to a KM iView showing the contents of a folder in myRepository where all the archived news are stored.
Can anyone please help me?

Any suggestions?

  • PDF email archives: How to selectively re-export to new archive/.pst?

    A while back, I made PDF email archives of a variety of Outlook folders, and eventually deleted the Outlook messages in question.
    Now, unfortunately, I am wishing I had not.  So, a few "save the day" type of questions:
    1) Can I convert an entire PDF email archive, or portions of an archive, back into Outlook format?  How?  (If you know the answer to this, ignore the rest!)
    2) Can I selectively search a PDF email archive, and then group-export the messages displayed in the search results into a separate PDF email archive? How?  I can manage to use the filters to select a group of messages, but I can't manage to re-export them to a new archive or a PDF portfolio.
    thanks,
    Erik

    It cannot be done in InDesign, but, as you surmised in Acrobat.
    You'll need to ask in the Acrobat forums. I don't know of any changes like that in Acrobat DC but because I don't program in JavaScript, I might have overlooked it. Try one of these forums:

  • Question about only new archive logs backed up in backup

    Hi,
    We are taking daily two online backup. We are running database in ARCHIVELOG mode. We configure database in PRIMARY and PHYSICAL STANDBY mode. Till now, we were taking all archive logs in backup. But it was causing problem of lot of space utilization of disk.
    So based on search in this forum, I am planning to take only new archive logs generated since last backed up using following command.
    BACKUP ARCHIVELOG all not backed up 1 times format '$dir/archivelogs_%s_%t' FORCE;
    I am not sure about how it impact during restore and recovery when we take only new archivelogs in backup.
    We restore database and then after perform always incomplete recovery till latest SCN capture in backup using following commands.
    RESTORE DATABASE;
    RECOVER DATABASE UNTIL SCN $BACKUP_LAST_SCN;
    Do you see any problem/risk of implementing this solution going ahead?
    Please let me provide your thoughts/inputs for this.
    Thanks.
    Shardul

    Hi,
    We are not deleting archive logs from actual location after backup. We keep latest 6 days archive logs at actual location. But here we are planning to put only new archive logs in backup image which were not backed up due to disk size problem.
    For your reference below is our datbase backup RMAN commands. We are taking full database backup.
    run {
    ALLOCATE CHANNEL C1 TYPE DISK;
    delete noprompt archivelog all completed before 'sysdate-5';
    SQL 'ALTER SYSTEM ARCHIVE LOG CURRENT';
    BACKUP INCREMENTAL LEVEL=0 CUMULATIVE format '$dir/level0_%u' DATABASE include current controlfile
    for standby force;
    SQL 'ALTER SYSTEM ARCHIVE LOG CURRENT';
    BACKUP ARCHIVELOG all not backed up 1 times format '$dir/archivelogs_%s_%t' FORCE;
    BACKUP CURRENT CONTROLFILE format '$dir/control_primary' FORCE;
    Then in this polich do you see any problem when we restore database as PRIMARY or PHYSICAL STANDBY on server. We are using Oracle 10.2.0.3.

  • What is this new 'Archive' folder?

    Hello,
    Can anyone explain what the new 'Archive' folder is and how it works?
    Many thanks,
    JC

    Hi! Thanks for the reply.
    That sounds like a great idea. At the moment, I have dozens and dozens of folders that I file mail away into - but it's a bit of a pain. Presumably I could do away with them and stick everything in the Archive?
    It doesn't empty itself, like Junk or Trash does after a set period of time, does it?

  • Creation of new Archive Object

    HI All,
         I am currently having a requirement, where I need to create a new archive object a copy of MM_EBAN, can anybody let me know, how to copy this... If any body has worked priorly will help me a lot...
         Thanks in advance...
    Regards,
    Brijesh Patel

    Hi Brijesh,
    For archiving object ceation the transaction is: AOBJ. From there you can create a NEW archiving object as such or COPY an sxisting one. It is basically a view cluster and where you can maintain the transaction.
    Create a PATH for the archiving files to be stored using the FILE transaction, this needs to be specified in the AOBJ transaction.
    Decide on what all DB tables you want to archive first, and what all activities you want to do. like WRITE program, DELETE program, RELOAD program if required. All these things you need to specify in the customizing of AOBJ transaction.
    Please let me know if further details are required from my side.

    Hi,
    This is the FAQ that I referred in my post titled "Searchable news
    archive?":
    Does Kodo currently supports query filter expressions that include
    ".startsWith()", ".endsWith()"? It's not listed as a known bug or
    limitation.

  • How do I organize photos in DVD size folders, by topic, by date, etc?  I plan to set up a new archive on an external hard drive (1 TB) for about 7500 photos.  Some from a series of XP files, the rest from iPhoto.  I use iPhoto11 on Lion with a 2011 MacBoo

    I need to know several answers, and I don't feel I can do it without the basic folder system.  Also, I understand burning folders instead of individual photos or albums gives you more space on a DVD.  How can I keep the captions on my photos (not events) when I print or transfer to a new folder?  I have been using computers for 20+ years for photos, and have scanned some on Windows and transferred some but not all that I wish to archive in new compositions, albums, whatever that are not all on iPhoto.  i also am concerned about overflowing my capacity on MacBook Pro 2011.  Tne only way I know is to copy photos from the Windows to folders on my HD, then copy and paste photos or albums or events to HD, then create a new folder and fill it to the appropriate DVD size.  Is this my only option?  I also thought I should download future photos to my Canon programming that comes with EOS cameras and edit and then decide which photos to save to iPhoto library and which to save only to my archival HD?

    Paragraphs help the reader, just saying.
    What are you actually trying to do? Why do you need "DVD size" folders if you're creatng an Archive on an external hard drive?
    Also, I understand burning folders instead of individual photos or albums gives you more space on a DVD.
    It makes no difference at all.
    How can I keep the captions on my photos (not events) when I print or transfer to a new folder?
    You can export while writing the metadata to the file in most cases.
    Tne only way I know is to copy photos from the Windows to folders on my HD, then copy and paste photos or albums or events to HD, then create a new folder and fill it to the appropriate DVD size.
    HD? Another HD? You use HD there in a way that makes no sense. What's the point of 'DVD size'?
    I also thought I should download future photos to my Canon programming that comes with EOS cameras and edit and then decide which photos to save to iPhoto library and which to save only to my archival HD?
    Does this have any relation to the previous questions? You know you can delete from iPhoto, right?
    You're somewhat confused and you need to
    1. Decide what exactly you want to do
    2. Then go about it.
    If I understand you correctly - and there's no guarantee that I do -  the easiest thing is to bring all your Photos into iPhoto and do everything from there.
    You can have an archive on an external disk, you can sort and select and edit with or via iPhoto

  • Does Time Machine start new archive on OS upgrade?

    I've just upgraded a v10.6.8 iMac to 10.7.3. Before I did so, I turned off Time Machine, with the assumption that I could use it for roll-back in case of trouble.
    If I now turn it back on, will TM add to the Snow Leopard archive or start a new one?
    For this Mac it's not a big deal but for the next one I'll do the build-out and data's more complex and I'd like to be able to quickly roll back if needs be. Perhaps I should instead take a pre-archive, DMG bootable clone of the drive (via CCC or SuperDuper). I've a 2TB Time Capsule happily backing up te iMac and my (work) MBPro. Could I add a new volume to the TM to hold such a snapshot DMG without upsetting the existing TM backup data? If so, what tool do I use to configure the time Machine as it's not a locally atached drive (it's on ethernet connection to my LAN).
    Thanks
    Mark

    You can do a full-system restore from any snapshot, not just the latest one. However, if you want to restore a pre-Lion state, you'll have to partition the internal drive first.
    Before installing Lion, I suggest you copy your boot volume to an external drive, boot from that, and install Lion on it. Save a copy of the "Install Mac OS X Lion" application from the App Store, because it will be deleted automatically after the installation. Test. If you don't like Lion, all you have to do is reboot.

  • New Archived log entry in alert log after cpu patch 19 applied

    Has anyone applied October critical patch for 11.1.0.7? I applied the cpu Patch 19 (8892977) for 11.1.0.7 on several windows2008 servers and after the patch the alert log displays a new message everytime a redo log transfers. This only happens on servers that have archivelog on. It looks like there is some kind of trace set. Anyone know know what the message is?
    Thanks,
    Kathie
    Archived Log entry 10937 added for thread 1 sequence 10938 ID 0xa96e3908 dest 10:

    Hi Mark!
    Yes, Oracle informed me that this message is normal and is only used for formational purposes. I should just ignore it.
    Did you apply patch19? I have also found issues with a high amount of "waits" of type of "other". Some jobs are running slightly slower also. Also, if you check your "database health link" on dbconsole home page you will see consistant "non-critical" alerts. I don't have these alerts on servers not yet patched. This alerts appear to be caused by wait events of "other".

  • Stupid question. RMAN - apply new archive logs

    I have following scenario:
    I have backup from last night + archived logs.
    And have a lot of new archivelogs.
    And I've lost main server.
    Now I can restore this database on another host. And this database will have state of the previous database from last backup. Can I somehow apply new archivelogs to this database? (We have all archivelogs after backup).
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    after restoring the backup on new server( on there exact same location).issue
    startup mount;
    recover database until cancel;<-- this cmd will apply are available archivelog.
    alter database open resetlogs;

  • News and news archive help

    i'm working on a few dreamweaver templates for a project and
    the one part that i haven't figured out yet is the news section on
    the front page. simply, there will be the standard news headlines
    followed by a summary and a link to the main article. each news
    item would need to be tagged (multiple tags possible) according to
    which department(s) they represent. is this possible to do in an
    HTML flat-file manner? or would i need a database?
    from an administrative side i would like to be able to:
    a) write a news headline, summary and article and tag it
    according to department.
    b) select whether to include it on the front page, the
    department page, or both.
    c) move news items to an archive section based on department.
    d) be able to exist in ANY template or design i come up with.
    I have spent 3 days searching all manner of CMS options but
    it seems like they are all overkill for what i want. the few simple
    news components i've seen don't seem to everything i want (which
    seems to be a very simple feature set).
    is this something that i can even hope to do in dreamweaver?
    thanks so much in advance!!

    If your site is on a Windows server, start here
    http://www.webwizguide.com/asp/sample_scripts/site_news_script.asp
    and customize it as you need to. (I've never seen an
    off-the-shelf
    article listing system that did B and C right out of the
    box.)

  • News Archive Help

    What is the best way to setup a newsletter archive in Dreamweaver CS5? I have setup two div; one mainContent and the other a sidebar meant for archived newsletters. I would like people to be able to click on the article title in the archive section to bring the article up in the mainContect seciton. Any ideas?

    LolaWebDesigns wrote:

    This is easy! Create links in sidebar like this:
    <a href="article1.html">article1</a><br>
    <a href="article2.html">article2</a><br>
    etc.
    When visitor clicks on article1 link they'll be directed to article1.html that will display article1 in main content. When they click on article2 link they'll be directed to article2.html and so forth. If you wanted something else other than what you've described then be more descritive in your post.

  • [new] archive [rox]

    Heya,
    I just added groups=('rox'). Hope you agree on this. I also placed this program in /opt/rox. It can be that rox-filer needs to be adapted (if possible?) to look for apps here. This is a nice application although you have to be carefull about names. It doesn't always seem to report the error: I tried to tar a directory with a ':'-symbol in the name and it seems tar won't tar the directory then ... it gives an error anyway, but archive doesn't report it. For the rest it seems to work well as far as I can tell.
