KM setup in portal

Hi All,
I want to implement KM setup in EP7 portal.
Could anyone help me by providing some docs for the same.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Nithya K

You have to create KM reposiroties in System admin-> system config -> KM->CM before start using KM Capabilities.
For KM Configuration with TREX Integration
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/706d054d-da24-2b10-f18a-fc82faf6468e

Once KM & TREX is installed, you can work with collaboraion.
Collaboration room is created based on room templates. The content in the room will be stored in the KM content dynamically.
also below wiki will help you for creating collaboration rooms

  • How to setup client portal

How do I setup client portal with user name and password to each clients file for their view and/or adding a pdf or other document?

Could you put a few more words around the problem you're solving here, and some background?  (The answer to this question can range from a simple Apache directive to a huge content management system, depending on some of those details.)
How many folks are involved (and what's your likely growth rate)?  (Small numbers of folks can be managed manually, where larger numbers of users means different choices.)
Are you running Open Directory?  (Apache can be connected into that, and you can manage access from there.)
Are you looking for a web content management system (CMS) in addition to controlling access to specific documents, or just the authentication?  (Uploading documents generally means keeping track of the associated files and avoiding collisions, which is more complex and can potentially be risky - file uploads can lead to web server breaches, if they're not managed correctly.  In comparision, controlling access and allowing downloads.)
Web content management systems (which are more common choices for what can be called a "portal") have varying requirements and features.  There's a CMS matrix comparison site available.
For some of the core features, the 10.6 Web Services manual as a starting point, looking at the Realms-related discussions there, and potentially at WebDAV.  It's also possible to password-protect specific directories using Apache directives; that's the simplest, but it doesn't scale all that well.

  • Documentation of CRM business package setup inside portal

  • Oracle Reports setup in Portal

    Hey
I just have a couple of questions about Oracle reports being run through Portal that I was looking for some help on. Here they are:
I am using the Reports Portlet Parameter Form (which includes the 'Parameters' and 'Schedule' tabs) build into Portal to run my oracle reports, but I was wondering if this is the recommend way to run my oracle reports in Poral or if there is something better?
A few users have asked me to remove/hide the 'schedule' tab on the parameter form, but I can't find a way to do that, do you know of a way?
And another thing I was asked is if we could create own parameter forms to run the reports, and I told them yes, but would that involve creating a new form for every report where the parameter list is different? I thought it would be, but I wanted to be sure first. And would these new manually created forms be easy to integrate into portal?
    Thanks for your help.

    hello,
submitting your report in the url using a key (yourKey) defined in the cgicmd.dat file would look like
    http://<yourserver>:<yourport>/reports/rwservlet?yourKey

  • SSO (single sign on) on NetWeaver 7.0 Enterprise Portal based on spnego with Microsoft Active Directory

    Hi,
we are using SAP Netweaver Enterprise Portal 7.0 (SP25) based on Windows 2008 R2/Oracle 11g.
When we setup the Portal, we used the UME of the ECC - ABAP.
The portal is used internally only.
Now we want to provide SSO.
User authenticate against Windows Active Directory (Windows 2003).
We thought SSO via spnego would be the best solution.
Any better alternates, we should use?
We are following the SAP documentation:
    SAP-Bibliothek - Benutzerauthentifizierung und Single Sign-On
We still want to create users in ABAP and assign them the portal roles. LDAP access should only have read access, to verify the security token from Active Directory.
When we setup the portal from scratch using ABAP as its UME, in the system configuration, LDAP can't be selected/add as data source.
In case we understand the documentation correctly, we would now need to add LDAP via the configtool for read access.
What is not clear to us, when we active now LDAP via config tool, if we would now lose the ABAP connection.
Is there a tutorial for SSO Netweaver 7.0 EP, like for EP 7.3, available?
In 7.3 SSO is pretty simple to get it running, thanks to the many tutorials here and on the internet.
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards

    Hi,
I was able to generate the key via ktab program.
But when I am enable SSO, nothing is happening when I try to log-on via SSO to the portal.
I installed WebDiag tool on the portal server and ran trace.
The users are located in domain: company.com of activate directory.
The Java AS are located in domain: sap.company.com of activate directory.
The sap.company.com domain acts as child of company.com.
When I check the WebDiag trace, I see for the SPNegoLoginModule - the entry "... no key (etype: 23) for realm sap.company.com available ..."
I would except company.com as realm key, as the keytabs have been generated on the domain controller of company.com.
Is it possible to get SSO with child domain running?
Based on the statement of the network folks, child and father domain having a trust.
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards
    Carlos

  • How to enable email notifications in a OracleAS Portal Approval Chain

How can I setup my Portal (10gR2 -10.1.4) to send a notification email on events in a approval chain? I wish to send emails to approvers and to publishers, with the result of the approval chain.

In 10.1.4, you can research how to leverage the Content Management Event Framework (CMEF) for e-mail notifications. I am not sure if it includes approval events, but check it out. You'll still need to develop the e-mail process itself, but I believe it will give you the necessary start.

  • Data of customize BSP in Enterprise Portal is not displayed

    Dear All,
I stuck on to find out the solution, in order to display FAQ list in BSP Enterprise Portal by using customer id to logon to Enterprise Portal, need your guide.
    Let me explain:
It is customize/own develop BSP application, which is search FAQ (maintain in trxn: crmd_iia_faq) based on product. This is done by calling standard FAQ FM in BSP code, pass in product GUID to retrieve list of FAQs, and display FAQs list in the BSP page. Also, from the FAQ details, call standard Problem and Solution FM to get the details of Problems and Solutions, and then display Problems and Solution in another BSP page.
In the other words, this custom BSP application display data which is maintain in transaction code: COMMPR01, CRMD_IIA_FAQ, and IS01.
Setup in portal to display this iview/BSP application is done, because I manage to access the main BSP page in portal after logon with customer ID.
    Difference result:
    1.     Run BSP standalone in CRM:
When I execute/run/test this bsp application standalone in se80 after logon to sapgui by using customer id, bsp data is displayed, which is working fine.
    2.     When I access/run this bsp through portal after logon portal with customer id, bsp data is not displayed, which is not working correctly.
    Things that I had tried:
    1.     customer user profile:
    •     Tried assign different profiles of customer id, my problem is not solved. I even add SAP_ALL profile to customer ID.
[Result] no BSP data is displayed.
    2.     customer user role:
    •     standard role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER (assign standard role to customer ID):
    a.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Look for standard role in “assignment of crm object method to role” -> get a standard role which is relate to problem and solution: SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER.
    b.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Navigation (URL generation) -> assign portal role to single role -> SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER is assigned to portal role: com.sap.pct.crm.channelmanager.
    c.     Go to trxn code: SU01 -> add role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER into customer ID.
    d.     run the portal and access BSP application
[Result] no BSP data is displayed.
    •     Create new role, ZSAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER:
    a.     go to trxn code: PFCG -> copy standard role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER to customize role -> access authorization tab -> look for “authorization for BSP applications” -> change “Application Scenario” and “View for UI display” to “*”.
    b.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Application/Layout -> add new entry to View, view named as Z_ESERVICE.
    c.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> add new entries into “assignment of crm object method to role” (copy SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER).

    d.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Navigation (URL generation) -> assign portal role to single role -> ZSAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER is assigned to portal role: com.sap.pct.crm.channelmanager.
    e.     Go to trxn code: SU01 -> add role, ZSAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER to customer ID.
    e.     run the portal and access BSP application
[Result] no BSP data is displayed.
    •     Maintain existing customize role, which is used to display Activity:
    a.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Navigation (URL generation) -> assign portal role to single role, I check the configuration has done in CRM to assign/map this BSP role to portal role.
    b.     go to trxn code: PFCG  -> open existing customize role -> access Authorization tab -> click on "change authorization" button -> search existing Application scenario -> add '' inside (also try with certain standard scenario which is relate to product, FAQ, solution, problem) -> search existing view for UI display -> add "".
    a.     run the portal and access BSP application
[Result] no BSP data is displayed.
    Questions:
    1.     Is my problem related to role setup of customer ID?  If yes, can guide me how to create authorization, which is related to product, FAQ, problem, and solution, to customer ID?
    2.     Is it possible that my problem cause by missing/wrong portal role setup or wrong mapping between CRM role to Portal Role? If yes, can guide me how to check authorization of customer ID in portal, which is related to product, FAQ, problem, and solution?
    3.     Any other reason that cause this problem?

If you know the BSP application name, then you can check this on /SE80 and get the bsp component details.

  • Anonymous Portal ... Problem accessing images, css, js

Hi, i'm trying to build a web site to be accesed from internet and i'm having some trouble with some specific points (i'm new with SAP).  I've seen many questions like this in the forums but none are finally answered.
I setup the anonymous portal based on SAP Instructions (help.sap), i'm using the Guest user to the anonymous users and i can access without login throught this adress http://localhost:50000/irj/portal/anonymous.
    <b>First Question</b>
When i create a html using the html editor from the KM it work fine, i can see the page with the styles i used; but when i inssert an image uploaded, the page start to ask for authentication and don't show the image, if i enter a valid user and password it shows the image correctly.  I tryed assinging permissions to the Guest user over the image and it doesn't work.  As you know as i'm trying to make a Web Site to run on the Internet and it cannot ask the users of the portal to authenticate, this is my first question, how can i setup the portal to not ask authentication for this image?  if i access the image directly also ask for authentication and shows an unauthorized page, i tryed this two links: http://localhost:50000/irj/go/km/docs/documents/abc_htmlfiles/images/0186.jpg
    http://localhost:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/abc_htmlfiles/images/0186.jpg
    <b>Second Question</b>
Locally i create a html and i upload it through the KM, i used separate .css file (style sheet file) and .js file (javascript file) to make some effects but when i load the html to the KM Document Iview it shows only the text and doesn't recognize the files with the styles or the javascript; i have the html over the abc_htmlfiles directory (my test directory) and the css files on the css directory, look this is the directory structure on KM:
    /root/documents/abc_htmlfiles/page0.html
    /root/documents/abc_htmlfiles/css/styles0.css
    /root/documents/abc_htmlfiles/js/script0.js
from the html i've tried to access the .css and .js  like this:
    <LINK rel="stylesheet" href="css/styles0.css" type="text/css"/>
    <SCRIPT src="js/script0.js" type="text/javascript"></SCRIPT>
What is the path to access this kind of resources?
    <b>Third Question</b>
Now i just can create html content in the web site, but i don't know how to create a navegation menu, a menu which show me the different sections and iviews, do you have a link where i can get a step by step to create a menu like this?
I really appreciate answers to my questions and think that i can assign some points (if you explain me how) to the people who help me.

    First Question
I solved my problem following the SAP Note 837898, I am using the NW04 SP16 - Enterprise Portal 6.0.
The problems as i understood is that SAP Portal uses WebDav authentication throught the default access /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/, to avoid that authentication when using anonymous you have to config the portal to allow this path to access the documents in KM /irj/go/km/docs/.  The way you config the portal is described step by step in the <b>Note 837898</b> .. I followed all the steps (including the ones who modifies the Standard User Role iviews in Portal Content) and finally i restarted the Portal.
It works for me and my SAP EP version.
    Second Question
The 2nd Question was solved the way one of the posters said in this thread, but to anonymous portals after config the Note 837898 you should use the path <b>/irj/go/km/docs/</b> to avoid the authentication window which prompts for the user and password.
    <LINK REL=stylesheet HREF="/irj/go/km/docs/documents/abc_htmlfiles/css/styles0.css">
    <SCRIPT src="/irj/go/km/docs/documents/abc_htmlfiles/js/scripts0.js" type="text/javascript"></SCRIPT>
    Third Question
The menus in SAP portal are made with Roles and assigned to the groups that are going to have access to the options of the menus .. it's quite simple following the links suggested in the answers already posted in this thread.

  • Using Discoverer with Oracle Portal - URGENT!!!

I need to setup Oracle Portal 3.0 with Discoverer 3i for a demonstration tomorrow due to a "this just came in!" from the management! ;)
What I would like to do it to display some sort of Discoverer portlet so anyone with a browser can access and view Discover results in a nice manner.
I have been told this is possible (by Oracle Denmark) but how....?!
Could anyone please email a step-by-step description if you know how to do this?
    Thanks!

If you don't check the "Connect to Applications EUL" option as described, Disco looks for a database user with the user name SYSADMIN, which you don't want (and probably doesn't exist).
An alternative is to put a : at the end of the user name (ie SYSADMIN:) which makes Disco treat this as an Oracle Applications user name, regardless of the connection options chosen. This should then prompt you to select the Oracle Applications Responsibility you want to use (assuming you have more than one). You can log directly into a specific responsibility by adding the responsibility name after the : (ie SYSADMIN:Disco Admin).

  • Discoverer Security through Portal

We use Portal for displaying discoverer worksheets. In portal we select the "display to user using Publishers connection". However, when users click analyze on the report it prompts them for a password. Is there any way around this. We don't want users to have there own discoverer logins. We just want them to analyze the reports we setup in portal for them to view.
Thanks in advance on any help with this issue.

Take a look at the steps to integrate discoverer with single sign on (SSO). Then once a user has authenticated in Portal, they will be authenticated in Discoverer too.

  • Portal Certificate Login / Basic Authentication

    Hi .
We've setup our Portal to login by either client certs of basic authentication. The client cert is stored on a smart card device. On each access to the smartcard a user dialog prompts the user to enter the password of the smartcard.
Some users have several user IDs. Client certificate can IMHO only mapped to one user ID. First question: Is it possible to map a client cert to more than one user ID in UME?
    2)
If the smartcard is in cardreader and the user opens the portal login page, portal always requests the client certificate (since it is present). If the user clicks cancel, then an error page is shown. The user should have the ability to login using basic authentication user/password, even the certificate is present. At the moment we need to advice the users to remove the smartcard before trying to login. What I am looking for is something like
https://portal.com/irj/login&j_authscheme=basicauthentication <- do not request client cert, prompt for userid password
    https://portal.com/ijr/login/certlogonportlet <- requests client cert
    Thanks for your help

For Java stacks you would need to make it application specific.

If your problem is tht system admins are also ESS endusers (for example) then you can give them a different network zone to work from as admin with a different SSO ID. From a risk perspective it is the same... you should only give admin access to people whom you trust and accept being monitored.
