KMS: activating 2008 R2 key disables 2012 key & vice versa

In my lab network, doing a "slmgr.vbs /dlv All" command, my Server 2008 R2 KMS entry shows "Unlicensed" and installation ID is blank. Using the /ipk switch, I then enter in our VLSC 2008 R2 kms key, & then activate
via phone with a provided confirmation ID (with the /ATP switch), and it then shows Licensed and shows an installation ID, but then the Server 2012 R2 KMS entry loses it's installation ID and shows "Unlicensed" (where before it showed
fine). If I then license 2012 R2 , the 2008 R2 entry shows as "Unlicensed" again and has a blank installation ID again. Maddening! The KMS server itself is 2008 R2 by the way. (and is an exact mirror
of our production KMS server which is working perfectly fine). The production and lab networks are isolated from each other.

I need to accent some characters when typing in French. According to what I read, repeat keys should no longer work in Mountain Lion, except for asterisks and dots etc. In theory I should be able, by holding down the letter on the keyboard, to get a pop-up panel of possible accents to use. But I am getting repeat keys instead. I have tried using Lion Tweaks to use the 'disable repeating keys' function and although I get the message that is has been done, it hasn't. Can anyone help?

I can't explain why you are not getting the accents, but you can still use the key-chords to type accented characters.
Press Option (alt) + Accent key, release the keys, then press the letter. For example, press Option-i, then o to get ô.
If you have the input menu active, you can use the Keyboard Viewer to see the Accent keys. Open the viewer and press the Option key. The Orange highlighted keys will display the accents under them.

How to disable system keys like alt+ctrl+delete...

I was wondering if there is any way to disable system keys like alt+ctrl+delete and windows logo key etc... I would like it to get disabled when ever my java application is visible and I want it in pure java.

Here, it creates a primary key and disable it... So whats the purpose of doing this...
(defines and disables an integrity constraint)
Constraint is DISABLED. is it in VALIDATE state / NO-VALIDATE state)

Having just done this this morning, let me have a go at explaining one possible use for this feature:
I am bulk-loading some data into a table. I know that some of the rows in that data duplicates other rows, and that I need to clean out those duplicates.
The quickest way of detecting duplicates I know of is to attempt to switch on a primary or unique key constraint and have the duplicate records written out to an EXCEPTIONS table. Therefore, I create my loading table with a primary key constraint DISABLED, so that I can actually perform the data load which I know will violate the constraint. If I'd created it enabled, which is the default, the bulk load would never be able to insert anything into the table, after all. When the load is finished, I do this:
alter table bulk_load enable constraint bulk_load_pk exceptions into exceptions;...and then I can use other techniques to use the new contents of the EXCEPTIONS table to work out which rows from the BULK_LOAD table to delete to clear out the duplicates.
All constraints when first created are in the enabled validate state, unless you specify otherwise. If you miss out the validate/novalidate keyword, in other words, your constraint will be created as VALIDATE.

How can I disable a key through software?

A friend of mine spilt water on her keyboard. As a result, her forward slash key frequently spams and makes typing difficult. I used a program to remap the forward slash key to a forward delete key, but that has also caused problems. What I'm looking for is a program that will allow me to completely disable a key.
I should note, I've used KeyRemap4Macbook and I've also developed my own code, which disables the key on Cocoa applications. However, the key still spams on applications like Microsoft Word.
Her Macbook is more than a year old, and she can't afford to buy a new one.
Any suggestions?

Liquid in a physical keyboard is great trouble. You may worsen state if you continue to use it like this, make the effort to change it. It is not cheap, but may prove cheaper than damage the whole computer.

Disable Function Key F3 in Internet Explorer

I would like to disable function keys F1 and F3 while playing
my flash movie in internet explorer. I am using these keys within
Flash to do some actions.
I got the script working for Function Key F1 using the

Hi des_shun, I have workaround for this issue.
First thing we have to do is disable keyboard event for F3 key on HTML document so that even if focus is on html document, default Search functionality will not popup. Next thing is, flash must contain KeyboardEvent listener for keyboard response. This is where we will keep our custom F3 functionality. This setting works well on Chrome & FireFox.
Now IE thing.
The prolem with IE is that if any one of F3, F5, F6,F7 & F11 key is pressed, when the focus is on flash movie it directly executes the default browser functions like searching, refreshing etc never allowing flash to execute its keyeventlistener. But if focus is on document body, then F3 and other keys work fine.
Here is the catch.
All we have to do is whenever focus is shifted to flash, we should revert that focus to document body.
Here is how we can do this.
Capture the MouseClick event in your flash movie. Then in this mouseclick event handler, call javascript function to change focus to document again. Below is the sample code.

How do I get the last Java back, the most recent upgrade has disabled a key task my computer needs to be able to use for my business?

I recently allowed the software update and the installation of java 7 has disabled a key task I need for my business, specifically being able to view 360 degree tours that I create.

Slightly different OS and update, but I was able to use Pacifist to install the java Update 15 for mac os 10.6 after Update 16 had screwed up some business-critical sw of ours. You will need to go to the downloads site and download the previous update, and then use Pacifist to re-install the earlier version.

This might or might not actually work -- it depends entirely upon the details of the updates, and you could end up in some weird jumble of pieces-of-multiple-updates all together... Java updates are patches, not a full copy of the software, so to really go back you have to start from the beginning and apply the updates in order. In the case of Update 16, we were lucky in that whatever was screwing up our program was changed in both Update 15 and Update 16, so writing the Update 15 back overtop of 16 fixed our problem.

Access keys in Safari tend to interfere with the Emacs-style shortcuts used in text-boxes. So, it can happen that while your editing you accidentally press some access key, thus losing all your changes.

Cutomization - Disable shortcut keys

We are working in an enterprise environment, where our requiement is to give Customize Firefox to the users. Only Address Bar visible to the user.
1- Hide Menus. (Task Done)
2- Icon along the Address bar. (Task Done)
3- Disable all Shortcut keys. (Partial Done)
4- Disable all commands of about (i.e about:config)
I have explored about the disabling of shortcut key, it cannot be done through user prefences js file as I did for Task 1 & 2. We can to do with xul programming as I read. We dont want to use the Third party Extensions as for this we have to do for each user. We want to do change in the base file from where user profile generated.
I have disabled the shortcut keys by editing in the [ C:\%Firefox Dir%\omni.ja\chrome\browser\content\browser\browser.xul ]
just by adding disbaled = "true" attribute

Looking for an alternate method to do this without an event structure. My implementation uses a state machine with while loops, and is setup to only respond to specific keystrokes/mouse clicks, at specific times. When in these states, it waits for the user to interract, and can not proceed until they do (by either progressing with the sequence, or aborting it).
When I implement the method provided, it does work when it is in the state that expects F1, but if the user presses F1 at any other time, the event is triggered, and the VI goes into an invalid state (locks up). I do inderstand that normally an event structure would be the correct implementation for keyboard inputs, but the application needs to respond in different ways depending on the user input, and needs to ignore all user input at other times. I couldn't figure out a practical way to ignore events while in certain states, so I implemented the statem machine instead.
Any ideas? Working in LV 2013. Thanks in advance.

I pod disabled and cant remember passcode. cannot use itunes as it wants update and restore need to use passcode and the hold sleep/wake key and home key doesnt put it in DFU either . any help ?

My ipod has been disabled as I cant remember the passcode . When doing a restore on I Tunes it will only update and restore , the update doesnt work as the phone is locked and I need a passcode. I have tried the other way which is to hold the sleep/wake key and home key together for 10 seconds but as soon as you plug it inot the pc the ipod boots up so this method doesnt work either . Very close to usin it as a brick , any suggestions ?? Thank you

Hi All,
Can i disable TAB key actions in flash? That is i dont want
the focus to get transferred from one button to another on clicking
TAB key. Im using my SWF in an MFC application. Even if the MFC
developers trap the TAB key, it doesnt affect flash - the tab key
works for flash. I will have to do something in flash.
I tried _focusrect = false; but it doesnt satisfy me
requirements.
