KMZ file embed in PDF

Is there a way to embed a KMZ file into a PDF?  I'm not looking for screen shots but actually being able to utilize the KMZ inside the PDF.  I'm trying to embed a file from Google Earth into a PDF.

Have you tried using attachments?
This is for Acrobat XI, Windows:
View - Show/Hide - Navigation Panes - Attachments.
In the Attachments Pane click on the paper clip icon to add a file. You can also add files by dragging them to the Attachments Pane.

Is there any way to embed the pdf file in the book created in iBooks Author to make it available to be downloaded or sent to email?
I'm making the book for children and there is one chapter providing coloring pages. So I wish to attach pdf files that allow users to download it at the end of chapter so that  they can print it out. Been searching through discussion, I've found some advice about taking screen snapshot page-by-page > then send the pics from photo album to email. However, I'm wondering if there's a way that make the process easier.

Warehouse that PDF on your own server, then link to it from your book.

  • When trying to upload a PDF to an interactive site I get the announcement:"The attached PDF file references a non-embedded font Tahoma. Please remove file, embed the font and reattach." How do I embed this, or in fact any other font ?

When trying to upload a PDF to an interactive site I get the announcement: "The attached PDF file references a non-embedded font Tahoma. Please remove file, embed the font and reattach."
I could not get rid of the Tahoma font in the WORD file.
How do I embed this, or in fact any other font ?

    Thank you very much !
Indeed, I was unaware of the enormous number of options that can be selected when converting a WORD file to PDF.
I went thru the settings and found the right one for embedding the fonts.
    Thanks again !

  • Can I embed a PDF file within a Pages document?

I am working with Pages '09 and would like to embed a rather long PDF document file into my Pages text.  I want the reader to be able to click on the PDF file and have it open so that the reader can gather more information on the subject without making the actual Pages document text any longer.  I don't want the PDF file to be an external link that sends the reader away from the document -- I want to know if I can embed the PDF file WITHIN the pages document and have it open only when clicked.  I don't think I can do this.  Thanks.

I found my answer within archived discussions - convert the file to a PDF and then embed the PDF file as an attachment.  Thanks.

  • How can I embed a pdf file into the body of an email?

How can I embed a pdf file into the body of an email?

The problem is defining what it even means to “embed” a PDF file in the body of an e-mail, especially if you are dealing with a multiple page PDF file.
E-mail is either pure text, rich text (something akin to RTF in Word), or HTML. PDF is not compatible with any of these. Thus, to embed a PDF file, something has to be converted and that means the PDF would be converted to a less graphically rich raster format. But is that what you would really want?
I think that the MacOS and iOS e-mail clients do under some circumstances place an attached PDF file within HTML segments and by clicking on same, you get the equivalent of extracting the full PDF file, but I have no real experience with that.
Another alternative is HTML with a proxy image with a hyperlink to an external PDF file that is invoked when you click on the hyperlink.
Perhaps you can explain what you are really trying to accomplish and what the recipient of such an e-mail's actual experience would be?

  • Why won't pdf files embed into Mail

I cannot embed a pdf file into the body of an email - I've done this before using Mail but cannot seem to accomplish it now. Even though I sent a photo only hours before by attaching it to an email and it embeded automatically. I'm trying to send a fundraising letter accompanied with a newsletter and brochure, all 3 in pdf format. Only the letter needs to be embedded, I guess, although it would be nice if all of them could be read without downloading the attachment, unless the recipients want to do this. Karen

Same here. Before it worke fine but now it just displays the small attachment logo. The pdf file is 3,5 mb in size. Before even bigger ones have embeded so the cover photo of them has been shown where it is draged and dropped. Spent some valuable weekend time on this job issue so i am crying a river.
    Any ideas?

  • How to embed a pdf file?

    Hi,
I'm looking for a way to embed a pdf file into my cf-page. Does anyone know a good way to handle this? I'm using CF9

Scroll to the section, "Embedding using Acrobat.com". I should warn you it involves some vendor lock-in.
Added edit: I have assumed that the HTML embed tag didn't work for you. It didn't for me.

  • How to embed a pdf in a pdf file like we embed in MS word/PPT

    Please help me
I receive some jobs in word files (sometimes in PPT) with PDFs embeded and want me to make compatible for viewing on ipad and PC as well.
I found creating/inserting navigation menus in PDF itself could help me in flowing as the solution using hyperlinks and inserting the destination pages at the end of pdf which resulted in increase in number of pages. Please can you suggest me if there is anything I can do better. (As our client is bothering about number of pages in pdf)
Hope I presented my problem clearly.

  • Need assistance embedding separate files into a PDF

    All,
I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro (Version 10.1.2).  I followed the instructions below to try and embed separate Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files into my PDF document as thumbnails, but the only problem is, this only works on my computer because the files are saved on my machine.  As soon as I move my PDF file which contains the links, the links will not open.
How do I essentially do the same thing but have the thumbnail links be viewable by anyone, no matter their location?
Create a link using the Link tool
Choose Tools > Content > Link. The pointer becomes a cross hair, and any existing links in the document, including invisible links, are temporarily visible.
Drag a rectangle where you want to create a link. This is the area in which the link is active.
In the Create Link dialog box, choose the options you want for the link appearance.
Select one of the following link actions:
    Go To A Page View
Click Next to set the page number and view magnification you want in the current document or in another document (such as a file attachment), and then click Set Link.
    Open A File
Select the destination file and click Select. If the file is a PDF, specify how the document should open (for example in a new window or within an existing window), and then click OK.
Note: If the filename is too long to fit in the text box, the middle of the name is truncated.
           Open A Web Page
Provide the URL of the destination web page.
           Custom Link
Click Next to open the Link Properties dialog box. In this dialog box, you can set any action, such as reading an article, or executing a menu command, to be associated with the link.

    Hi George,
I just tried adding the files as attachments; however I didn't like doing that because it increased the file size of my PDF document quite a bit.
I'm not sure if you're familiar with the "Insert Object" command in MS Word, but I want to do the same thing in my PDF document...but the key is, anyone must to be able to open the embedded file from any location.
I created an MS Word document with several embedded objects.  I was later asked to PDF the Word document, but since embedded MS Word objects do not migrate to the PDF, I am now trying to embed the same files I embedded into my Word document into my PDF document over top of the icon image.  The file types I'm trying to embed include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF.  Does this make more sense?  I want to create a hyperlink over top the icon image that was PDF'd from the MS Word document which allows any user to click on the link and open the separate file.

  • Can you embed a PDF into a Captivate 8 project?

    Hi,
Can you embed a PDF document into a captivate project?
I know i shouldnt compare, but in Articulate Story Line, you are able to add 'resourses' into the project which sit alongside the eLearning to provide further reading.
Can you do this in Captivate? but without it linking to an external sourse such as local or shared drive?
    Thanks
    Chris

    To tmpe222,
I'm not a Cp expert, but it seems to me that there's no sense in simply trying to stick a pdf document in the Scorm package. What good would that do? The file would be in the package, but that doesn't mean it would be 'embedded in the project' in any meaningful sense of the term.
I don't know of any way to embed a pdf document directly into a Cp project. But couldn't you simply convert the pdf file into an image (jpeg or gif)? This you could easily insert in your project. It would be inserted as a standard object. And then you could do all the nice things that you can do with any object: put it on slide to be accessed only if the participant wants to view it; use effects so that it enters nicely; add annotation . . . the sky's the limit.
Does this help at all, or am I on the wrong track?
    Best regards,
    Marvin DuBois

  • How do I embed a PDF as an object in a Word document?

Up until January 2014, I could easily embed a PDF ( or any other file ) in a Word document.  Now I cannot embed a PDF object as an icon.  Does anyone have a work around for this?

It's odd, because so far I know this was never supposed to work. It may have been an accidental side effect of the browser plug-in.
