Knockout 2 not working in in os 10.6.2.. got a replacement idea?

The PS knockout filter does not work with snow leopard and Corel has no plans at this time to update it. Any suggestions for a background knokout tool?

It would appear that Corel hasn't updated anything in Knockout for a few years at least... Say five or so.
You may want to look at Fluid Mask by Vertus.

If your Imac is connected to the same Lan as your Exchange Server he might be able to access the DNS record for the autodiscovery services (the url that allow outlook/entourage or modern smartphone to autoconfigure the exchange account).
If this url has not been made public by your IT staff, your iphone cannot resolve it.
Typically, the url for autodiscover is based on your address email domain, i.e. if your email address is [email protected] the url for autodiscover will be https://autodiscover.company.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
A good test is try to open this URL from a web browser (authentification may be requiered) from the imac and iphone then compare result. The expected behavior would be the display of an xml page with very little content (this is normal), if there is an http error or that the page cannot be displayed then autodiscover is not available from the network you are using.
If so you need to request from your IT the name of the ActiveSync Url to use, most company use the same as the webmail url, so if to access your wemail you need to go https://webmail.company.com, the name to use on your iphone would be webmail.company.com

I've always used my firewire cable to update my iPod. I've tried using USB in the past but for some reason it always says that my iPod has low battery and won't let me update it, so I just use firewire. Can I not use firewire with itunes 7?

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Elements 12 pre-installed on new Sony Vaio Win8 not working. Error: 16, No disk to reinstall. Any ideas to make it work?

I have a Sony Vaio Fit 14 laptop that has Windows 8 and pre-installed Photoshop Elements 12.
The Photoshop elements 12 is giving me an error 16 and I can not get it to work.
I have no installation disk and really do not want to restore the laptop to factory out of the box.
Is there any other way to fix this issue?

Probably you could get some help from Sony. Possibly the install image is somewhere on your computer or they could give you a copy.

Since iOS 6 my VW handsfree kit will not work properly unless I turn off synch contacts. Any ideas?

Prior to iOS 6 my handsfree kit and iPhone 4 worked perfectly together. Now it constantly connects, disconnects and restarts. I found through trial and error that if I turn the synch contacts option off it works fine again, but then I can't use the handsfree kit to dial out and have to use the phone which defies the object of habdsfree! Very frustrating! It's a VW touch kit and not very old. Any ideas?

I have been struggling for days on this same problem.
I bypassed my router and wired direct from airport to modem and it worked. Maybe it has something to do with router IP address? If anyone can help figure this out so u can use my router, I'd love to have the answer to this

Apple EarPods not working ("Gummy" holding wire to jack gone), Will Apple Replace Them?

I bought the EarPods separately from my iPhone on August 19, as the ones that came with it also broke the same way, at an apple store in Denver (where I live). They have warranty and everything, but will apple replace them under the warranty? If need more details on how they broke: the white, thick strip around the meeting point of the wire and headphone jack input came off, and first the left side stopped working then the right side.

If you have ruined two sets, I suspect it is the way you are treating them. From what you describe it sounds like undue strain is being put on the jack, like maybe you are unplugging them by pulling the wire instead of grasping the jack. Or maybe the phone is allowed to dangle from the cord.
At any rate, if they replace them, and only Apple will be the judge on this, you should pay attention to any possible undue strain you are putting one the cord.

Running latest version of Mozilla. After updating Flash to latest version it will not work. Pages indicate I need newer version. Any ideas?

Application not working on CentOS platform...

I have created an application in Java1.5. I am also using swingX library for Hyperlink control. I have tested my application on various platform i.e. windows xp, Fedora, Ubantu. Its working fine. But this is not working on CentOS v5 platform. I got the following error.

Lightning HDMI Adapter not working with iOS 6.1.2

I have an iPhone 5 which was updated from 6.0.2 to 6.1.2 recently and the Lightning HDMI adapter stopped working altogether for video mirroring; was wondering if anyone has the same situation/any solution for this?
I also have an iPad retina generation which is at 6.1.2, and the Lightning HDMI adapter is not working for it as well.
I've tried replacing HDMI cables, rebooting the iPhone with the cable plugged in, and plugging out/in several times with the charger in/out. The adapter works, cause when I plug it in; I see the top bar flash for a bit... but no dice on the video mirroring to my TV.

I also have this problem and am very unhappy with the way Apple is handling it. Called today to enquire on when the fix will be available and was told it is a software issue that could be fixed if we paid $35.00 to talked through process on the phone. Highly disappointed with Apple, why should it cost me money for them to fix there own issue. Since they are aware of the issue the least they can do it posted the information for the fix online @ no charge.
If I wanted crap service I could have gotten a phone from anyone. Reconsidering purchasing a 5 on next upgrade.

Caller ID not working in Serbia

I have a factory unlocked iPhone 4 which works with every sim card on every GSM carrier, but the caller ID is not working here in Serbia.
I’ve got message in iTunes that it doesn’t have settings for my carrier and now it doesn’t recognize all names from phonebook, many times I get only number showed when I receive a call and I have to guess the name.
Can youhelp me?

In Serbia all carriers has Caller ID turned ON by default and my SIM card has Caller ID working on all phones that I've tried except iPhone.
I don't want to jailbreak my phone only to fix caller ID.

JNLP - Swing application compiled in jdk1.5 not working in jdk1.6

I have one swing application, compiled in jdk 1.5 and deployed in JNLP with jdk 1.5. When client machine try to access the application and having jre 1.5 then it works fine. but if client machine having jre 1.6 or version greater than 1.5 then application does not work properly.
Please help me, i got stuck and not able to solve the problem.

we have deployed application in tomcat and changed the home page of tomcat to our application home page(html page). and url is http://10.1.1.145:8080/
Application home page contain link to jnlp. so whenever user click on link (in home page) then jnlp will execute and launch the swing application.

Uploading files to website not working with Safari in Windows 7

Hi,
I am a website owner, and I have a feature on my site where users can upload large (up to 50MB) music files to my server. The feature works in Firefox on OSX & Windows platforms and it also works in Safari on OSX. The uploading feature is not working with Safari for Windows. Do you have any idea why and how to fix this? It can't be an issue with my server as it works in other browsers fine and works fine in Safari for OS X.
If you have any information on how to solve this or things for me to try to rectify this for use with Windows operating system it would be much appreciated.

I have solved this issue myself with some help from my a user on Microsoft Forums. The issue stems from the mime type of each Browser Chrome, IE, & Safari for Windows defaults as audio/wav. When the mime type is changed to audio/x-wav everything works. Firefox defaults to audio/x-wav and when changed to audio/wav it DOES NOT work.
Once I input some code in my .php upload page to change the mimetype if audio/wav is detected everything works GREAT!!!
So Here is what you need to do: Find your upload page and input this code:
echo "<p>MIME Type: ".$_FILES["file"]["type"]."</p>";
right before your "If/then" statement of file type. For me it was near line 30 in my upload.php page, but I'm sure this is different for everyone.
This will detect and DISPLAY the default mime type of your browser on the error page when your upload doesn't work. Once you know what mime type works for your file type then you can change your "if/then" statement for mime type upload to change your mime type to the correct one.
I don't want to give the code here, because I'm sure it's specific to your file types and your site construction, but this should lead you on the right track.
***This is the solution if you ARE NOT ABLE to upload any certain file in a certain Browser. It has to do with mime type construction***

Most likely yes. There's a manufacturers warranty against defects for a year. I'd contact your place of purchase and talk to them about it.
