Hi I was wondering more about the recycling program

If you read the link I provided to you then you know if you mail it in you won't get anything back. If you buy a new one at an Apple Retail Store you will get 10% off the cost of the new one.

  • Apple recycling program

does that program they offer apply to the ipod touch?
because i have an old ipod mini lying around thought id put it towards that and get a %10 discount, does any one know if it matters if the ipod is broken?

    hey!
The Apple Recycling Program was not iPod specific. It was merely Apple encouraging people to not throw away an Electrical device which contained batteries,LCD screens and other possible pollutants which are environmentally unfriendly if disposed of incorrectly.
The scheme was still running before the Touch so I can't see why they would not give you the 10% discount.
    Cheers,

  • Restore old PowerBook G4 before/for Apple Recycle Program.

I have an old PowerBook G4 I need to send to Apple for its recycling program. But it's still got all of my stuff inside it I've just transferred it to my new MacBook. I need to wipe everything out before I can send it like erase the disk and restore its orginal settings. I know I should own the Lion dvd to be able to do this BUT thing is I have NO cd/dvd in the box. There's everything else as I purchased my MacBook in an Apple Store BUT there is NO such thing as a cd/dvd. Can I do the process in some other way or am I forced to bring the old computer to an Apple Store? Thank you.

You can hook up your Powerbook in target disk mode to your MacBook Pro, and erase the hard drive from there. You'll need a firewire cable to attach the two systems. Boot the Powerbook while holding the T key down. A firewire symbol will be moving around the screen, hook up the firewire cable between the two system, and your Powerbook will now appear as another disk drive to your MBP.  Bring up Disk Utility on the MBP and erase the Powerbook hard drive, recommend a secure erase which writes zero's to the hard drive.  If it's going to be recycled, I don't know why you need do anything else but clear the hard drive.

Please send me full detail in simple english language about apple contract

suppose 80th record is the error record, what will happen if I am doing this using call transaction metod?
suppose 80th record is the error record, what will happen if I am doing this using session metod but in background mode?
Please clarify me with all possible scenorios.

    Hi:
Qn No: 1) No data will be saved .
    2)            The error record wont be saved. In your case all the records except 80th record will be saved using call transaction ( Foreground) .
    3)  No data will be saved .

  • Anyone Know about Apple Mail?

I click on an email to view and sometimes it comes up in a new window... sometimes not. But if I have say 3 weather reports and I want to delete one, they all go. My mail seems to be working on it's own thing lately. What may cause this?

"Typically, if you click once on a mail message it shows up on the view window (usually in the same window but below the list of message subjects). If you click twice, it opens the message in a second window if its own."
Yes, understand you there... but often times, it when an email message is clicked on to read, it also comes up in a new and separate window. So if I click on the "second" window to delete it, in order to read the email in the preview pane below, it also deletes the original message and any threads to it. I may just need to delete and reload the mail application, which is impossible to do tied in with Safari?

  • Is apples recycling program online only?

Is apples recycling program online only? Or can I bring it to the Apple store?

Yes, Apple contracts with PowerON to estimate the fair market of your product.
Go to > Apple Recycling Program and follow the instructions in the "Here's how to get your gift card" section.

  • Recycle program

Hey apple users! This is my situation, I live outside US and in my country there are no apple authorised sellers. I´m planning to visit your lovely country on january-february 2014. My questions are because i have an ipod touch, an ipod shuffle, an ipod classic and a macbook pro 13´ (all working perfectly fine). How can get into the recycling progrmam? i`ve been reading but I cannot figure out the things I should do. Do I have to take all my apple products to an apple store and the staff will guide me? I hope I can get some discount on a new macbook! Thank you very much!

    For the MacBook Pro:
    http://www.apple.com/recycling/gift-card/
    For the iPods see:
Apple - Recycling Program for iPod and Mobile Phones
You only get a 10% discount if you purchase a new iPod. The 10% apple if you turn in one or more iPods., not 10% for each turned-in iPod.

  • Apple Reuse and Recycling Program

I'm not sure where this should live. Its not a question more of a warning.
I recently took advantage of the Apple Reuse and Recycle Program in the UK to recycle three iPhones and obtain some vouchers in return. The Apple Partner for this service in the UK is 'BrightStar'. I used the on-line website and within days the return packs from BrightStar arrived. Enclosed was a flatpack box and a returns label. I packaged up the iPhones as instructed by BrightStar's own documentation, affixed the postage label and took the three packets to the Post Office, to be sure I obtained a 'Certificate of Posting' from the clerk.
Within a couple of days, emails started to arrive saying that the iPhones had been received by BrightStar, however only for two and not three. A day passed and more emails arrived with the Money off Vouchers for the two iPhones but not the third. I left it a day and contacted them via email and received the reply to say that they had not received the third iPhone. Ok.. its got lost.
So I then ask BrightStar, what now happens? Did they have insurance to cover the loss in the postage that they had arranged? No.. they don't pay for any kind of insurance in the postage that they themselves arrange. BrightStar then informed me that it is up to the customer to take out extra insurance or arrange 'Special Delivery' when they take the packages to the Post Office. However, this is not stated in the packaging instructions. So foolishly I have assumed that their pre-paid postage included insurance for the items.
So no iPhone, no voucher . I know its not Apples fault but what really annoys me is the attitude of BrightStar, their Recycling Partner, basically washing their hands of the whole affair, even though they had arranged all of the postage and packaging. Apple really do need to have a word with these people, I expect Apples Partners to be of the same standard as the Apple Organisation.
So people be warned. If you use BrightStar's service make sure you insure your package when you take your pre-paid packet to the Post Office, otherwise if it gets lost, you like me will be out of pocket.
I don't know who to take this up with within Apple, I can find any kind of contact for this kind of issue.

You might try contacting the Customer Support folks and see if they can give you a number for customer relations: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201232
In the US, the user has the option of taking the devices to an Apple store where the transaction is handled by the Apple staff, sounds like a significantly better option.  But, thanks for the warning about buyer-beware - the need to protect yourself anytime a valuable device is sent through the post or any shipping organization.

  • Tell me about the iphone recycle program

I want to know about trading in my iphone. I have an upgrade and I have an iphone 5 S and I want the 6 but none of the ATT&T stores have it in stock so I want to know if the apple store will trade in my phone with my upgrade?

  • About Apple Seed's program

    Hello!
I am very interested in participating in the "Apple Seed Program", as I have said is by INVITATION, would like to know if anyone can invite me and tell me a little more about the program, on your page is pretty self explanatory! but in economic terms such as is there a cost? is true that apple products shipped to "test"? in which case .. is 100% free or not?

What do you mean if you pay for the Mac App Developer program that you "may" be "invited" to the OS X Seed program? I assumed that developer seed access was an unconditional feature of the paid Developer program accounts.
Also, I am not aware of what NDA you speak of for the Apple Seed program, but I know of the NDA applicable to the developer seeds, and I do not recall any facet of that NDA forbidding even mentioning that you are testing developer seeds. I am only aware of it barring the disclosure of the nature of the seeds, what they've changed or introduced, etc. Which is funny, since I see lots of news sites regularly publishing the change focus list for each seed release, ie. whether a seed affects Safari, Mail, or drivers, that sort of thing.

  • I know about the lack of boxes, but are there any more specific answers from Apple about what's going on for the ipod nano replacements?

I've been watching the forums for a while now, and I know about the box shortage, but I'm afraid there are still some things that confuse me. It's been almost three weeks since I submitted a request for the first gen nano replacement program. Has anyone else been waiting this long? I admit, it's really frustrating to just have to wait with no word from Apple about when we can expect to recieve boxes.
I was also wondering if there's been any sort of answer on what the mailed-in nanos are being replaced with. Brand new first gen nanos, new nanos of a different generation, refurbished nanos (first gen or otherwise)? Maybe I've been looking in the wrong places, but I haven't seen a definitive answer. Has anyone completed the whole replacement program who can answer this?
Thanks for all the help! I was so excited when I first got the email telling me about this replacement program, but it's difficult when everything seems so vague.

I was also wondering if there's been any sort of answer on what the mailed-in nanos are being replaced with.
Call the replacement program (phone# is listed) & ask them.

  • Will apple credit to my account gift card for recycling program

will apple credit to my account gift card for recycling program

If you mean the program Apple runs with partner companies to send in some computers and iOS devices, you will get an Apple Store gift card for the value. I don't know what you mean by "credit to your account", but this program has nothing to do with the iTunes Store. Apple explains the program, at least as it's constitued in the US, here:
    http://www.apple.com/recycling/gift-card/
If that doesn't answer your question, please post back and clarify.
    Regards.
