Knowledge Center unaccessible after installation completed

Hello.
I am installing UPK 11.1 ESP 2 version of Knowledge Center in Win2008R2 and we are using SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2.
Note: We are using Windows Authentication
Every time after complete with installation, i am unable to access the KCenter site. Below is the error i am getting.
" The current user does not exist in Knowledge Center and can not be added. Please see your Knowledge Center system administrator. "
Appreciate any advise / thought - i am looking around if anyone also experiencing the same issue in similar environment. Thanks

Yes the URL is directing to the /KCenter virtual directory. The problem is not the login page - the problem is that i dont even get that far.
Once the url is entered the page starts to load and ends up with no results. the reply is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
I've eliminitad the browser to be a problem after allwoing all cockies and reapting this with FF (cockies enabled as well)
I've been repeating the installation for several times now, both on Win2K8 and Win2K3 and the same result.
As if the application will not run :-(
I tried to verify if the installation is currepted but i also used the same copy to install UPK Sever, Client and Single Seat and nothing (including in the KC instllation) had alerted a failure.
All the other three were installed and worked with no issues.... only the KC will not load :-(

    Right.... becuase it ISN'T a program... it's a PLUGIN for your browser.  You'll find it in:
    Internet Explorer - Tools (the little "gear" icon)>Manage Add-ons
    Firefox - Tools>Add-ons - under the Plugins Tab

    iFS Manager is installed with Oracle 9iFS.
    You can start iFS Manager from OEM by right-clicking on the
    domain and selecting Related Tools. Or, you can start it by
    running the ifsmgr.bat file in the 9iFS/bin directory.

  • Flash Builder failed to lunch after installation.

    Adobe Flash Builder can't lunch after installation completed successfully. it says to uninstall and reinstall again. if problem continues, contact adobe support. and it says: "error: 5"
    ~ Then after I uninstalled it. Download it again and reinstall again, same result.  I did this numerous times now and no tech solutions so far!

  • Where is the 'Content Root' described in Installation Document for Knowledge Center

    According to the installation document, "The Content Root is where user content is stored ... The Content Root virtual directory is a sub-directory of the Knowledge Center application..."
    Is the Content Root the same as my IIS Player directory where users run the UPK content? Is this tracking the usage of the player web site or the developers' usage of the developer Virtual Directory. My confusion lies in the fact that the developer Virtual Directory and the Player Virtual directory already exist, but this says the Content Root is a sub-directory of the Knowledge Center application. I'm not sure how that works.
    For example, I have the following Directory structure.
    E:\upk-player (Virtual Directory where Player content is moved after being published.)
    E:\upk-content (Virtual Directory where Developer content is stored)
    Will the Knowledge Center create another directory under E:\Program Files\User Productivity Kit\Knowledge Center to store content? I am trying to understand what is going on before I do the installation so I can give the wizard the correct responses.

    That would be the wireless number assigned by AT&T when the purchaser of the iPhone signed up as a customer with AT&T. If neither you nor your uncle ever activated the iPhone with AT&T, click the "non customer" button.
    Note that jailbreaking often renders it impossible to get an iPhone officially unlocked, so don't be surprised if it fails. If it does, then you may have to buy a new iPhone, this time one that is officially unlocked.

    Hi,
    I'm assuming you're machine is OS X (please include this in the future, avoids assumptions).  Are you using anti-virus software, if so, if you stop/exit the anti-virus software, does the installation proceed?
    If not, or if the installation still does not proceed after stopping the anti-virus software, please try the offline installer, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Macpage, in the 'Still having problems' section.

    After clicking the "Forgot Your Password?" link on the Knowledge Center login page and entering a valid username and email address, an error message states: "Your request could not be completed. Please contact your Knowledge Center Administrator."
    This is occurring for all users in the Knowledge Center. Any ideas? Are there any domain requirements for the server email address defined in the server tab? Trying to think of what is causing this.

    The option you are talking about is with UPK 12.1. Not sure if it is also available in 11.1.0.2. With 11.1.0.2, you can specify the SMTP details in KCenter\web.config file. There is parameter for SMTP relay server. Mention your mailrelay server and the mails should start working.

  • Newbie question on logging in to Apex 4 / Oracle 11gR1 after installation

    I've been unable to log in to Apex after successfully completing the installation of the database and Apex.
    I tried using the function to send a list of workspaces to my email account and received nothing.
    I then tried using the 'Internal' workspace along with my email address and what I thought was my pw. That did not work either and I did not receive any error messages.
    Resetting my pw and attempting to use the Administration function to manually create a new workspace likewise failed without any error messages.
    Is there a magic bullet that I'm missing? Can someone be kind and point me to the most likely manual to consult for these issues?

    I have not set up a mail server because I have yet been able to access the Administration Functions menu.
    Before I go on, I'm attempting to access Apex v 4. using :
    http://cwtk7b1:8080/apex/f?p=4550:1:3141657078302382 where cwtk7b1 is a recently virtualized server.
    I tried to change the admin pw using the script and it errored out. I noticed that the script was setting the schema to apex_030200 and I don't see that user listed when I go into Oracle 11g. I changed that value to apex_040000 (which is listed) and the script ran to completion. Is it possible that I have multiple versions of Apex that might be causing my heartache?
    Speaking of Oracle 11g. When I attempt to run it I get a warning message :
    There is a problem with the security certificate with this website. I was allowed to proceed to Oracle 11g with a warning. I'm thinking that we might have some security issues. I'm not the network administrator.
    Also, when Apex requests my credentials, most of the options available on that screen (reset pw, locate workspace, admin, etc) have a sequare that contains a small circle with an '\' through it.
    Now, having successfully changed my admin pw for user apex_040000, when I try to go to Apex administration from the initial Apex menu, it just hangs there without an error message.
    When I tried accessing Administration using
    http:.../.../.../apex_admin the same thing as above happens.
    When I tried accessing Administration using
    http:.../.../pls/apex/apex_admin I got a screen
    The server cwtk7b1 @ xdb requires a username and pw

    And the last little tidbit of info, we just embarked on a virtualization project and our environment is pretty outdated version wise. (I don't control the environment nor do I have a say in what versions of this or that to upgrade to.). I'm just charged with getting Apex 4 to run using Oracle 11g.

    Some pictures have white squares with blue and red diagonal stripes that cover almost the complete picture.
    When opening those files I have the same problem in Camera Raw dailogue and even in Photoshop eventually.
    I tried to open the same same pictures on another computer with the same version of Bridge and Photoshop but the problem remains the same.
    It seems like the files itselves are still ok, because if you open an explorer window the previews of the pictures are all ok. And the pictures' sizes remain the same.
    I tried to clear the cache in both programs but it didn't help.
    Has anyone an idea????

    First see if a reboot of your PC helps.  If not,
    Resets may be in order:
    Photoshop: Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop.  If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be VERY quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your established preferences, which will lead to them all being set to defaults.
    Bridge:  Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.
    Outdated graphics drivers can also cause display problems. Go to your GPU maker's website and be sure you have the latest drivers for your card model.

    I'm not sure that I completely understand what your issue is. Are you
    trying to launch a BAT-file after the installation of an application?
    In that case, I will recommend you to refer to the following

    I have just installed Oracle 11gR1 on centOS 5 operating system. During installation I checked the option to create sample schema. During installation the installer displayed some error message regarding Enterprise Manager and told that you can run the script manually after installation is complete with the script location i.e /<oracle_home>/bin/emca
    After installtion i have run the script BUT now when i try to start dbconsole it fails.
    When i run emctl status agent it says agent is not running.

  • Leopard Retail Disk No Longer Recognized By Laptop After Installation

    Today, I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Leopard OS X 10.5 using a retail disk. After successfully completing that installation, I kept the disk in the machine in order to try to move forward with a Boot Camp installation. However, the laptop stopped being able to recognize the disk at all. It whirrs three times, trying to read the disk, then it ejects the disk and won't mount. This occurs regardless of whether I am on the Mac side or the Windows side of my newly partitioned machine.
    The disk will, however, load on my other Mac (a G5 tower), which is still running 10.4.11, as an installation disk. But every time I try to load it on the laptop, it does its little whirring thing and then refuses to see the disk.
    Any thoughts on why the machine would be able to see it prior to the installation but not after? This is a particularly thorny issue for me because I am in the middle of a Boot Camp installation as well, and REALLY need to get ahold of those Boot Camp drivers for Windows so conveniently located solely on the Leopard disk (by the way, if those drivers are available to download somewhere -- I could burn a CD using my other machine -- I would muchly appreciate someone posting a link).

    Hi, try booting in safe mode to see if the disk will install. If so, while your there repair your disk with firs aid, it will be in the menu when the languages show up. You can safely delete most languages knowing only a reinstall will get them back, printer drives as well, I only chose mine. It save much space. If I get a new printer I only have to install the drive.
    To start up into Safe Mode (to "Safe Boot"), do this:
    Be sure the computer is shut down.
    Press the power button.
    Immediately after you hear the startup tone, press and hold the Shift key.
    Tip: The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
    Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple and progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
    Try this and post back with results. I can offer more potential solutions.
