  • Knowledge Warehouse Workflow problem

    Hello Experts,
I have a deal with Internal Knowledge Warehouse in Solution Manager.
My task is to make work 2 workflows "Approval" and "Copy Edit" for creation documents in 2 main project management transactions RMMAIN and SOLAR01 (document areas IWBASAP and IWBSOLAR).
I have configured without errors everything that I had found in trx SI24: maintain areas and organization plan, activate workflow engine and exact KM workflows.
These 2 workflow tasks TG 70000013 and TG 70000014 work Good! - I have tested them in trx SWUS.
Both areas configured in SI24_12 for APPROVE and COPY_EDIT.
Both authorizations roles (Z)SAP_KM_KW_ALL_AREAS_EDIT and (Z)SAP_KM_KW_ADMINISTRATOR have been configured properly.
    BUT:
Creating/Changing document with statuses "For release" or "Copy editing" in RMMAIN or SOLAR01 DO NOT FIRE Workflow triggers TO_BE_RELEASED or COPY_EDITING (they are in Activated status!). And therefore workflows do not start. And no errors come on screen.
    Thanx in advance,
    Alexander

    folder and burn them

    > the cd, too. It is a pain!
The reason for this is that, since you have used a KO, the
    images are not
imported into Authorware, They are referenced by a variable,
    rather than
directly linked in a Display icon. Authorware does not know,
    at the time of
packaging, which images you need so you have to tell it.
The best thing to do is place all your images in a subfolder
    of the folder
that you have placed your development code, and then add that
    folder to the
packaging process in One Button Publishing.

  • Some questions regarding SAP Content Server / Knowledge Warehouse

    Hi,
we are thinking about SAP Knowledge Warehouse which needs the SAP Content Server.
Is it possible to install the Conent Server together with a Solution Manager System where we would like to use the Knowledge Warehouse functionallity? The Conent Server needs his own database instance. Is it possible to add it to the actually installed Maxdb for the  Solution Manager?
What is the actual version of the Content Server 6.30 or 6.40? Is there no 7.0? What about the future of the Content Server?
We are running Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1. Is it possible to install the content server on the same machine? What about the database? Can I use the already installed DB of solution manager?
    Thanks ahead

Is it possible to install the Conent Server together with a Solution Manager System where we would like to use the Knowledge Warehouse functionallity?
If you have enougth resourses why not?
The Conent Server needs his own database instance.
This is are not true, you can install content server without MAX DB.
Is it possible to add it to the actually installed Maxdb for the Solution Manager?
Again why not, if you have correct max db version per PAM for content server (you need 2 DB instance second are for cache server) check pam for NW 7.0 (the PDF document) you find information about content server requirements here and in page --> Database components on same NW 7.0 PAM.
What is the actual version of the Content Server 6.30 or 6.40?
    6.40 are last version,
We are running Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1. Is it possible to install the content server on the same machine?
Your OS are ? I'm install cont server 6.40 on system where NW 7.0 are installed without problem, do not know about NW EHP1 .... Good backup are start point .....

  • Solution Manager instead of Knowledge Warehouse?

    Hi!
We work today with Knowledge Warehouse (Version: 6200.600.144) to manage user guides and connect the user guides with R/3 via transactions. As we are upgrading SAP-GUI to 7.10 our version of KW stops to work with R/3. This means in the current situation that the person administering user guides in KW can not upgrade its GUI, which is unsustainable in the long run. It also means that KW does not work with our solution with Citrix/Metaframe.
Therefore think we should take hold of this and focus on the possibility of using Solman as a possible replacement for KW. Is it at all possible to manage user guides in Solman? Can Solman generate html pages? Can Solman make same bindings via R/3 with transactions as our version of KW?
We do not want to upgrade KW.
What are your recommendations if Solman is not an option?
    Sincerely
    Jesper Sandberg

  • User authentication in knowledge warehouse 4

    Hi all,
I am not sure whether I am posting into the right forum regarding my question but I'll go ahead anyhow :).
I need to add a link to the knowledge warehouse browser gui that calls a JSP. This JSP will finally call a function module on the R/3 KW, but needs to authenticate the user before being allowed to make the call.
I am wondering how user and password information are stored/maintained in a knowledge warehouse browser context. They are definitely not stored in a cookie, as far as I found out. Does anyone know if they can be found and accessed somehow?
This is a vital question for the project I am working on and therefor I am very thankful for any input on this!
    With best regards,
    Helga

    Hallo Klaus,
thanks for helping me out on this. I guess I should have posted it to the Java Programming forum what I will do now.
I am curious if I will get a reply from out of the "dark inhouse channels" ;-).
    Thanks again!

  • Knowledge Search - Problems and Solutions

    Hi,
I am creating Problems and Solutions (in IS01). But that is not visible in knowledge search in IC Webclient.
I have also done compilation in SPRO -> CRM -> Enterpise Intelligence -> SAF, but not getting the result.
    Please Help.
    Regards,
    Ankush

    -  Your IC WebClient Profile should point to the Knowledge Management Profile which point to the Configured Knowledge Base ( Problems and SOlutions )
    - I hope SAF Diagnosis Tool looks good ( CRMC_SAF_TOOL )
    -  I hope you have gone through the Best Practice Document ( help portal ) for Interaction Center which tells step by step ways to configure Knowledge Base

  • Sap knowledge warehouse 7.0

    Dear all,
i m new in SAP Knowledge warehouse. i implemented SAP KW7.0 and now i want to add some personal docs loke word/excel or ppt in content server.
Plz guide me for doing the same.
    Regards.
    Rakesh Thakkar.

    Hello Rakesh,
well, there's a lot of things to do, here a short summary:
you have to configure the system according to the SAP KW configuration guide (http://service.sap.com/instguides).
you need the sap templates, the relevant transports are mentioned in the guide, without them, you can't work.
Then you have to create a context, in ta sii1 (change documentation), you have to switch to the context you created, create a folder, and then, within the newly created folder, you can create documents.
    Hope that helps, kind regards,
    Carl

  • Difference between Knowledge Management and Knowledge Warehouse

    Hello All,
Could you pls help me with the differences between <b>Knowledge Management and Knowledge Warehouse</b> and their relative advantages over each other.
Also, if possible pls help with me some documents about Knowledge Warehouse.
    My mail id :[email protected]
    Regards,
    venkat.

    Hello,
KMC (Knowledge Manageent and Collaboration) is the SAP EPs functionality for providing a central approach to a companies unstructured and distributet document storages and informations.
KW (Knowledge Warehouse) is meant for documentation, training materials and (quality-management) manuals.
Since NW04s, both functionalities are part of the IT scenario "enterprise knowledge management".
There's always a lot of misunderstanding about which functionality is provided by which tool, hopefully, the two will be merged into one functionality, but this might be only my opinion.
For further questions concerning KW, you can as well contact me directly, this forum is mainly for KMC.
    kind regards,
    Carl
