Kobo e reader help

my kobo e reader will not open a library book transferred from Adobe digital editions. Message indicates that document is not authorized for use with my adobe ID which I have activated

Can you please make sure, both your ADE and KOBO is activated with the same account?
Also please share the ADE version you are using?

  • Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 for Windows with Kobo Desktop reader.

    I need to transfer PDF files to my Kobo Desktop reader which is installed on the same PC ad the Adobe Digital Editions 2.0
    ADE is authorized with Adobe.
    I believe I need to access the Kobo Desktop Reader from ADE first to be able to authorize the KOBO Desktop Reader.
    However, the ADE is not recognizing the presence of the reader.
    How should I proceed?
    Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    You should post in the ADE forum if you think it is a usage issue with that software.  Here's a link to the discussion section:

    The lack of response is deafening. Im guessing then that Firefoix has serious issues then?..well it'll be there loss if more, like me, opt for Internet Explorer and Google Chrome (both these browsers work fine with the latest Flash Player installed)

  • Authorizing a Kobo e-reader for Adobe Digital Editions

    I am having trouble authorizing my Kobo e-reader for Adobe Digital Editions. As a result, I am unable to drag and drop epub files from my computer to my Kobo device. I have an Adobe ID, but when I attempt to complete the authorization process for my device, I receive a message stating "You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or device, Please try again."   I am not aware that I previously authorized and other computer or device. Any suggestions?

    I contacted Adobe Customer Service about the problem and the service representative said it was a "technical question" and could be addressed by the Forum participants, which, according to the Adobe website, include "experts".

  • Reading help for Adobe Reader

    Hi
    In my class i have a child with physical deficits, so it has a hard time to keep the right line while reading a text.
    Now i'm wondering if there exists a reading help, which would be a transparent bar which could be moved with the mouse so the line is defined.
    Is there such thing?
    Thank you

    You're going to need an '''older version''' of that extension from here: <br />
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7518/versions/
    Firefox PDF Plugin version 1.1.2 = for 3.0.x and 3.5.x versions <br />
    The latest is only for Firefox 3.6.x versions.
    '''Or''', you could upgrade to a newer version of Firefox!

  • Using with a Kobo e-reader

    I downloaded the latest version (V9.0.1131.27) to my pc so I could download books from my local library and then transfer to my Literati ereader.  I can view the book on my pc and can see an icon for it on my e-reader but when I try to open it says that the content is locked and I need to autorize it so I can view.  I have tried to contact Kobo but can't get them to respond.
    Any ideas what I may be doing wrong or how I can get the book autorized on my e-reader?

    Hi
    This comes up as a common question - so you're not alone! Have you tried this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2977746
    If that doesn't help have you used the search function on the forum? Or looked at the "more like this" box on the right? I'm confident you'll find a solution there.

  • Connect Kobo E-reader

    I have a mac computer and I recently bought a Kobo touch E-reader. I borrowed some books for the freading.com website to use on my kobo. My kobo is connected and my adobe digital edition isn't showing it to put my books on. I went through the steps to get an account and I authorized my computer. Am I missing something? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    I'm going to assume that you have gone to the B&N website and registered
    the KOBO ereader using your Adobe ID.  If not, start there.
    Assuming it's registered properly, make sure you go through the steps to
    connect the KOBO in the proper sequence....
    First, connect the KOBO to your Mac.  Make sure the Mac finds it and shows
    it as an external drive.
    Then, bring up ADE.  The KOBO should show up on the bookshelf.  If it does,
    then you're all set.

    From your description, you want to add a help link(read data from other list) into new form page.
    The following code for your reference:

    <script type="text/javascript">

    var context = new SP.ClientContext.get_current();
    var list= context.get_web().get_lists().getByTitle("configurationList");
    var camlQuery= new SP.CamlQuery();
    camlQuery.set_viewXml("<View><Query><Where><Eq><FieldRef Name='Title'/><Value Type='Text'>Help</Value></Eq></Where></Query></View>");
    this.listItems = list.getItems(camlQuery);
    context.load(this.listItems,'Include(Title,URL)');
    context.executeQueryAsync(function(){
    var ListEnumerator = listItems.getEnumerator();
    while(ListEnumerator.moveNext())
    var currentItem = ListEnumerator.get_current();

  • Seagate backup for macbook pro is messed up! (please read & help!)

    So my computer was full because I had basically all of my space full of picutres. I bought a 1TB external Seagate hard drive and backed up my whole computer to the external hard drive. (took about 6 hours) I went to double check the hard drive and make sure that everything backed up properly, and it doesn't look like anything backed up at all. It says that I have 858.88 GB available of space... so it doesn't appear to have anything BUT when i click on my iPhoto on my actual computer, it says "The iPhoto Library is a Time Machine backup, and so cannot be used as the main library.  Relaunch iPhoto with <option> key held down to choose another library." There are no other libraries to choose from and all of my pictures have disappeared (at least it looks that way).... I have no idea what to do. Please Help!
    **edit**
    when I unplug my external hard drive I can open iPhoto normally? How can I drag and drop to make sure that everything transfers?

    of course. but when i open the little explorer deal icon, its not even reading that i have an mp3 player connected. but it is connected to my USB port

  • TB 31.5 toolbar color - can't read "Help", "Write" etc - change from black type (new) to white (previous) - how do I do it??

    Thunderbird 31.5 toolbar type color has been changed, for some items (GET MESSAGES, WRITE, etc.) from white to a near-invisible black. I have a great difficulty reading it. How do I change the color back to white??
    Thanks for your help.

    Many thanks for trying! Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem yet.
    I have not used or downloaded an "appearance setting" nor a "theme". I have been happily using "plain vanilla" TB for years (many version updates!).
    I HAVE NOT SOLVED THE PROBLEM, BUT LET ME DETAIL THE PROBLEM SO IT BECOMES CLEARER:
    Here is the problem in more detail: the 7 items on the left part of the top line of the page (File, Edit, View, Go, Message, Tools and Help) use white font against the dark blue background. From there to the right, the next six items to the right corner, use black font against the dark blue background (some of the names have a little color mixed into the black font - but that is only unattractive - not much more visible). The function names that are in black against the dark blue are the ones that are hard to read. I am near-sighted, but not blind -- still these words (functions) are hard to decifer for me. If, for some reason, the developers don't want to allow the whole top function line to be in white type, they could make it yellow, or some other VISIBLE color -- or tell me how to do it! However, I prefer not to modify the standard issue. If I did that, I probably would have to do it with every new TB version (download).
    Many thanks again for trying! But this minor issue probably needs to go back to the developer who is in charge of the human factors for TB.

    Have you had any prior events before upgrading? Have you always had Mountain Lion installed or did you upgrade from either Snow Leopard or Lion?
    Try booting into Safe Mode and see if the panics stop. This will disable your third-party extensions such as:
    com.bresink.driver.BRESINKx86Monitoring          8.0
    com.Cycling74.driver.Soundflower          1.5.3
    com.rogueamoeba.InstantOnCore          6.0.1
    com.rogueamoeba.InstantOn          6.0.1
    If the panics stop in safe mode then uninstall the software that installed the above extensions. Be sure to restart the computer after uninstalling the extensions. I would also disconnect all third-party peripherals while in safe mode.

  • Preview/Adobe Reader help!

    Hey everyone!
    I'm trying to scan my notes into my computer, so I'm scanning them in a page at a time and I was wondering if there was any way I could combine all the separate PDF documents (1 per page) into 1 PDF document with several pages. Can I do it in Preview? Adobe Reader? Photoshop Elements? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    You can drag multiple PDFs into the Preview's sidebar to make one large PDF.
    There is also Combine PDFs
    <http://www.monkeybreadsoftware.info/Freeware/CombinePDFs.shtml>
    It gives you more control, and can handle image files, as well as PDFs.

  • Unable to download Adobe Reader Help please

    I just started working at my new job as a receptionist and i am trying to download the adobe reader but after i click on the "RUN" button is asks me for a user name and a password. How can i go about fixing this problem, can anybody help Please?

    Your account on that computer is not a system administrator account. This is standard practice on workplace workstations. It saves a lot of headaches for companies. You need to get in touch with your I/T person or department and have them either: change your account to a system admin (which I don't think they'll do-but it's worth a shot) or have them perform the install.

  • Adobe Reader Help issue

    The issue happens to all adobe reader and standard versions which are version X and above, the solution available in http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-online-help-content-cannot.html helps but its very slow to get to help feature and happens to all machines in domain.
    This is not a issue in customer enviroment as the same issie is seen on my company machines with Adobe X and above.

    Use the forum 'Adobe Reader for Android'.
