Kodak photo cd's wont open

A client of mine can open kodak photo cd images in I Photo but my version will not.
I am archiving her work and need to open these files.
Do you know how I can do this?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. If iPhoto won't recognize the CD open it in the Finder, locate the folder with the full sized image files and drag it into your iPhoto open window.

I want to print photo's from my I3. They appear to be saved in photo cache but they wont open. Only way seems to be to e-mail to myself, any help?

I can't print photos taken from my phone. After syncing they appear in a photo cache but wont open and the software from my printer can't do it either. Also tried searching and having Iphone plugged in whilst printing and the printer also can not find the phone to download.

Photos taken with iphone are NOT part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.

Want to open Kodak Photo CD files (.PCD) in Photoshop CS5. In CS4 i copied file "Photo CD.8BI" from an older version into the File Format folder. This does not work with CS5. Any fix?

I have several old Kodak Photo CD with PCD image files. I am now using Photoshop CS5. Some years ago while using Photoshop CS4 I copied a file: "Photo CD.8BI" from an older, CS2, version to the Plug-ins/File Format folder of CS4. This does not appear to work with CS5. Any fix?

It can be made to work, but you have to run the 32 bit version of Photoshop CS5, and as I recall there's an additional DLL called pcdlib32.dll that's needed from the old installation.

What version of iPhoto are you using? 9.6 is the current version.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

There's a glitch somewhere. iphoto just wont open. upgraded to yosemite and downloaded iPhoto upgrader and it doesn't work, just keeps telling me to upgrade when I did already or quit, so no way to do photos on this brand new mac. that's a pity!!

You need to have iPhoto 11 v9.6 (which you can get from the App Store) to use iPhoto on Yosemite. If you already have iPhoto 11 then the update is free. Otherwise it's a purchase.

No changes were made. I saw in one of the threads where someone said to repair the database(which didn't work) or Rebuild the database(which did work). Thanks to one all for the support.

Please help me open these photos. They are very important to me and I need to access them.
If I can't do it with any of the software installed on my computer, would someone be willing to open them, save them as jpgs and send them to me?

You can get the plugin here by downloading the Extra Content for Photoshop CS3 File 2
Just be sure to follow Note:Very Important Instructions or the link won't work.

After downloading the PHSPCS3_Cont_WWE.exe, double click on it to extract the contents, probably to your desktop.
Then in the Goodies folder, Optional Plugins folder, you'll see the Kodak PhotoCD folder
Open that and copy the Photo CD.8BI to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11\Plug-Ins
Copy the profiles to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Color\Profiles

Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?
The next step would be to restore the iphone as new in iTunes. If that doesn't work, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at the nearest Apple Store.

Unfortunately there is no plugin for photoshop elements on the mac side running mavericks that i know of.
You should be able to import the photos into iPhoto from the cd

PE 12 organiser wont open, edit photo yes open

win 7, PE12 photoshop and premier element are install. Photoshop organiser wont open. I open it if I go in C/ program file 86/ adobe....but not directly on desktop.

Does anything happen if you select a thumbnail in the Organizer and then click the Editor button on the bottom toolbar?
Did you buy the download from Adobe or from a store?
Do you have a desktop icon and what happens if you double click? Normally you should see both options; Organizer & Editor.
What computer and operating system are you using?

EOS T3 JPEGs wont open in photo viewer software

I am a beginner photographer and purchased a Rebel EOS T3. I am having a reoccuring issue where about half my JPEGs will not open in any software I try. Even the Canon software will not open them. I was experimenting with a faster shutter speed to shoot my daughter playing basketball, and I think the files that wont open are after I changed from my 200 zoom to 50 mm prime. I would like to salvage the JPEGs, but if I can't, at least figure out what is going on because I am losing memories. I may abandon the camera if I can't find an answer. Thanks

Here are three activities from daily life that require about the same time and effort to learn to do adequately:
a) Driving a car.
b) Using a computer well enough to do anything that isn't totally pre-canned.
c) Using a moderately serious camera well enough to get better results than one would get with a low-end point & shoot.
Most people understand that a) belongs on the list, because some governmental jurisdiction requires them to take a test to prove that they've acquired the necessary skills. But a sizable percentage of the population don't realize that b) and c) are on the list and naïvely expect computers and cameras to be as easy to use as an electric can opener or a coffee maker. It ain't so and probably never will be. Sometimes the best advice one can give is "Get used to it."

So I just did this on my iPhone 4 and it worked like a charm it unlocked it immediately. My phone was put into recovery mode and I know that not all data is deleted it just puts the phone into a sort of hibernation in order for the files to stay uncorrupted. I went to http://www.recovery-ipad.com/iphone-stuck-in-recovery-mode.html downloaded the software it unlocked my phone in a matter of minutes. Calls, messages, photos, apps, and voicemail was all there as if it never happened If you leave it unregistered you don't have to pay for it works for either windows or mac. Hope this helps!

Until you Upgrade to iphoto 9.6 you will not be able to use iPhoto
You can try canceling the upgrade and re-starting it
