Kodak/ yosemiti printing

Kodak has driver issue resolved for my esp7 printer

Kodak has posted an unsupported hack that has been reported to enable printing to a Kodak printer not supported in OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"). Perhaps it would have the same effect with some other kinds of printers that aren't supported in Yosemite. I have no information about that, one way or the other.
I have not tested the hack myself, so I can't recommend it. I'm offering it as an option to consider because Kodak is bankrupt and its printing software may not be updated anytime soon, if ever, making the equipment useless to those who keep their operating system up to date.
I don't know all the possible effects of this modification. As far as I know it will not break the compatibility of printing software that is already compatible with Yosemite. It may degrade the security of the web administration interface of CUPS. That interface is not enabled by default, and will not be enabled by the procedure described here. Even if it were enabled, I know of no way it could be exploited, with or without the modification. Nevertheless, if you have enabled the web administration interface, you should disable it if you decide to follow these instructions. If you don't know what the web administration interface is, you haven't enabled it.
If you don't like the results of the procedure, reset the printing system.

  • Kodak 5500 printer problem

I purchased a new Kodak printer. Downloaded a new Kodak printer driver for Leopard. Prints fine from computer, but not from Airport Express. Our old HP was printing, but not Kodak. Printer shows in Express, but no go. Uninstalled driver; reinstalled driver; reconfigured airport; restarted everything several times.

I would like to set up the network printer in the same way as I did when I got the iMac in the first place. Something changed which I don't understand was it Yosemite 10? Setting up with WPS I understand is not as secure. Is that the case?

  • Kodak 6150 printer connection problem with iMac 10.64

I finally got tired of the HP printer eating me alive with ink costs. I purchased a Kodak 6150 printer. Surprised to find out I had to install drivers but that is done.
Here is the problem. If I connect the printer directly via USB to the iMac it works fine. If I connect it to my airport extreme I can print from my Macbook but NOT from the iMac.
Was running a trial version of Intego just to see if possible virus was reason for almost incessent presence of the rainbow wheel - no virus. I turned off the Intego and still no luck being able to print from the iMac.
Per the previous question I did double check and sharing for all is on. The little screen on the printer says it is connected to my network. The printer is about 2 feet from the iMac and the airport is halfway between them so no walls etc in the way.
    Any idea's?
    Thanks

    1. When printers are setup they JOIN a network, and they remember the network name and wireless password. Since that has been changed, you have to REJOIN the printer to your new network of your AirPort Express. Basically, the printer has to be reconfigured. You can always contact your printer manufacturer for assistance.
    2. Navigate to the , then System Preferences, then Network. Click on the Advanced button on the bottom right, you should see a box with Preferred Networks. Remove the unwanted networks (such as your neighbors network).

  • Why can't I get the Kodak Document Print App in the UK?

Why can't I get the Kodak Document Print App in the UK?

"Apparently it's available in the US iTunes store but not here?"
Because Kodak has chosen not to make it available there.
"Can't for the life of me understand why that should be!"
You do not have to understand it for it to be so.
You can try asking Kodak, as they make the app.

  • Can my iPad 4 be connected to my Kodak 5250 printer?

Can my iPad 4 be linked to my Kodak 5250 printer and if so can you assist in helping me to link the two.

    You have a few options
First look on Kodak's site. They have partnered with google docs to offer some options, such as being able to send the document to a computer hardwired to the printer. And I think some models support you sending the document directly to them, but I'm not sure on that part (it required a google docs account and since I didn't want another online account I didn't dig too deeply into it.
Also you can look into third party apps. I have print n share and it works just fine with my 7250. There is also printopia and print central and i'm sure there are others.

  • IPhoto '08 no longer prints to Kodak EasyShare printer dock series 3

I installed iLife '08 last week. Used iPhoto '08 for the first time today. It will not longer print to the Kodak EasyShare printer dock series 3 photo printer. I get the message that the "Cartridge and tray type do not match."
I called Kodak. They have never seen this error message before. They had me update the EasyShare software because it is connected to iPhoto in the background when it comes to printing. Everything prints perfectly from the EasyShare software but it still will not print from iPhoto '08. It did from the previous versions.
Kodak believes that it is an iPhoto problem.
Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem yet. I didn't find any when I did a search.
It's kind of silly to export a photo from iPhoto to EasyShare just to print.
    thanks...

I was having the same problem with my Kodak Photo Printer 300, except that I could not print from ANY app other than Preview (I have iPhoto '08 also, but I never used the printer with an older version so I don't know if the problem happened after I upgraded iLife). I was able to work around the problem by using "4x6" as the paper size instead of "L-size." Hope this helps.

  • Issues with hooking up an older kodak aio3 printer to a new hp windows 8 computer

I have a new HP p2-1343wb setup that came with a monitor. It is running Windows 8. I have an older Kodak aio3 printer that i used to use on both a Windows Vista and a  Windows XP computer. When I tried to intall the software and drivers for the printer off of the Kodak website, when my computer restarted the screen was split in half, and had horizontal lines running across it and the picture was shaking. I removed the kodak software and it fixed the problem. I am not sure if this is a HP problem, a Windows 8 problem or a Kodak problem. I am going to try the other forums too. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

  • Cant get ipad to connect to kodak wireless printer

cant get ipad and kodak wireless printer working downloaded apps on i pad

    Diane-
I don't think any of Kodak's printers support AirPrint.  Search the Kodak website to see if they have an iPad App that will enable printing to their printers.
Also look for info on Print n Share and Printopia, and search the web for AirPrint Activator.  One of these alternatives may work for you.

  • Cannot "connect" a bluetooth enabled kodak photo printer

i have a kodak photo printer 500 that is bluetooth enabled and after going through everything that i could possibly think of on my powerbook i still cannot print to it.
i can get it to connect with the bluetooth file exchange utility but through the printer setup, it will not accept the very same pass key.
    anyone familiar with this situation?
    powerbook g4   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Okay, I just got off the phone with Kodak tech support. There is no way to set this printer up as a printer to print from within a program.
He explained to me that the only way it was designed to work is by clicking on the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar, selecting Send File, choosing a jpeg from your drive and clicking ok to send it to the printer, basically a file transfer. You have no printer control as far as selecting number of images per sheet or anything.
So don't get rid of your usb cable just yet. I guess it's okay for just sending a quick print from say a bluetooth enable camera phone which works basically the same way. If you were hoping for more you're out of luck on this one.

  • Require all in one kodak ESP7250 printer software for iMac

require all in one kodak ESP7250 printer software for iMac

The software for that printer is available from this Kodal web page:
    http://support.en.kodak.com/app/home/src/gosupport/selected/true
You do not say which of the four families of iMacs you own nor the Mac OS version, so that about as far as I can point you.
This forum is for iMacs made before 2006

  • How do you send photos from ipod to photo website (i.e.Kodak) for printing?

How do you send photos from ipod to photo website (i.e.Kodak) for printing? I'm copying all the photos from my PC to my ipod (to free up hard drive space on the PC). Once I do this, how do I use the photos on the ipod, i.e. printing, emailing?
    Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that you'll have to transfer them back to your hard drive to print or email them.
Also, do yourself a favor: back up you photos.

How can I get my ipad2 with os5 to Kodak wireless printer esp9.

Airprint won't work with the Kodak printers because Kodak does not support Airprint.  You'll need to check in the App store to see if Kodak makes a printing app for the iPad.  Otherwise, there are a number of third party printing apps.  People have used Printopia, Print n Share, and Print Central with good results.

  • Accidentally uninstalled kodak easyshare printer driver

Hi there. I have just bought my first Mac so I am somewhat of a novice. I have a kodak digital camera so I installed the software that came with it. However then I realised that I could upload all my photos through iphoto and so didnt need the kodak software. I dont want to clog up my Macbook with uneccessary stuff so I uninstalled the software. At the end it also asked me if I wanted to uninstall the kodak easyshare printer driver. without thinking i clicked yes. I have been fretting ever since because my mother has a kodak easyshare printer and if for some reason i wanted to use it, i would like to have that option. i dont want to be uninstalling drivers that may come in handy in the future. can someone tell me if this is rectifiable?
    thanks
ps i would phone applecare but i dont currently have the leopard installation disc with me as i have just moved house and my things are split between 2 houses 100 miles apart

    Hello s:
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
Just reinstall the Kodak software and then let it alone. With today's hard drives, it is not necessary to be particularly careful about "cleaning up."

  • Kodak 5100 printer

my Kodak 5100 printer is connected to my airport extreme but I am still unable to print wirelessly.

Again, not all USB printers are compatible with AirPort base stations. In addition, the AirPort's USB port does not support the "advanced" printer functions, like scanning, copying or faxing, of multi-function printers.
To see if your printer is compatible, take a look at this iFelix Unofficial AirPort Printer Compatibility link.
If your printer isn't listed, it doesn't necessarily mean it won't work, but simply that it has not been verified. iFelix also provides the following workaround for printers not on the list that would certainly be worth a try.
Also you can try this Apple Tech Support article to see if it will help:
o Printer troubleshooting for AirPort Base Stations and Time Capsule
Finally, check out this IBM support article to see if the printer you are interested in is listed as having a Postscript or PCL3 interface. If it does, then it will most likely work with the AirPort's USB port. Printers that use the "HP LIDIL" interface must be connected to a computer directly and will not work.

  • HT1996 My kodak 5250 printer is not recognised by my Macbook as a wireless printer

I cannot add my Kodak 5250 printer wirelessly to my MacBook - it does not come up in the 'add printer' menu.  I've done everything suggested in the Kodak support page about this - updated software and hardware, turned everything off, turned it on again, checked the printer is connected to the network - so what next?  It works fine using a USB cable.

And as per usual, after trying everything (it's been two weeks now of trying different things) and then posting online for support, I try again one more time and it magically works again.
I downloaded the HP printer troubleshooting thing again (the third time) ran the wizard again and found the printer (the second time), downloaded the drivers rather than using the disc (for the second time, the first time the installation failed right a t the end) and intsead of adding the IP for the printer at "Printer Network COnnect" step,  I looked up the username for the device on my router (HPDDxxxx) and entered that instead.
    EDIT: 11/2/13
Tried to print something today - once again the computer cannot connect to the printer. Printer is still connected. No settings had changed since I got it working.
Why is this happening! I need to print things! Very close to giving up. However I doubt I will get a refund from HarveyNorman, because when they test it out it will connect, and that's enough for them to say 'no refund'. Ugh.
