Ok a new iTunes update is out and Apple messed it up again.
I tried on the following System – Windows 7 64 Bit, non-administrative user, with UAC – the iTunes and QuickTime Update. Both failed with the following error (sorry in German on this)
“Produkt: iTunes -- Fehler 1303. Die Rechte von Installer reichen nicht aus, um auf diesen Ordner zuzugreifen: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes. Die Installation kann nicht fortgesetzt werden. Melden Sie sich als Administrator an oder wenden Sie sich an den Systemadministrator“
What to do? QuickTime and iTunes folder are no longer accessible, owner unknown, ownership could not be seized. So it is unclear if everything was deleted or only messed up. Reboot and yes after starting the installation manually again, it successful installs QuickTime and iTunes.
But guys the question is, when you need a reboot under some circumstances, just do it.
The other question, why did you mess up the target folders so badly, that you cannot use them for installation? Many other software makers proof that an update could be done.
Could Apple please fix this strange behavior? I my eyes this update process is not for increase customer satisfaction. Even if iTunes is for free, I think you earn a lot of money with it.

Try manually placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then try to restore
Next try DFU mode.

Hallo, habe heute völlig unbedarft das neueste iTunes Update auf meinen Windowsrechner geladen da ich damit bisher nie Probleme hatte. Nach kurzer Zeit kam die Fehlermeldung R6034 und iTunes lies sich nicht mehr öffnen. Nach Eingabe der Fehlermeldung in google musste ich lesen, dass dieses Problem wohl sehr viele mit dem neuesten update haben. Dann bin ich auf der Apple Support Seite der Anleitung gefolgt, nämlich iTunes komplett zu deinstallieren und neu zu installieren. So weit so gut hat so weit alles geklappt. Nur waren beim öffnen von iTunes alle Daten weg! Ich konnte nur die Apps und Lieder die ich über Itunes Store gekauft habe wieder laden. Nur wo sind meine von CD oder Amazon auf Itunes überspielten Lieder?? Wo sind meine Filme?? Ich möchte ja nicht alle Lieder aus iTunes auf dem Ipod. Was passiert, wenn ich meinen IPod, Ipad und mein Iphone ans Laptop anschliesse? Was synchronisiert der mir dann? Wie bekomme ich iTunes wieder in den Zustand wie vor dem update??? Ich hoffe es kann mir jemand helfen.

Habe dasselbe Problem. Nach Update iTunes und Installation von iCloud friert iTunes bei der Anmeldung ein, lässt sich manchmal gar nicht aufrufen oder bleibt mitten in der Anwendung hängen. De- und Neuinstallation helfen nicht. Selbst im abgesicherten Modus stürzt iTunes ab. Apple hilft ja leider nicht gern. Support dauert 72 Stunden oder man bezahlt. Gibt es Hilfe?

Durch Entfernen von iTunes und zugehörigen Komponenten aus der Systemsteuerung sollten alle unterstützenden Dateien entfernt werden. Nachdem Sie die vorherigen Schritte ausgeführt haben, sollten Sie sich vergewissern, dass die folgenden Dateien und Ordner entfernt wurden. Wenn sie auf dem Computer verblieben sind, entfernen Sie sie jetzt:
C:\Programme\Bonjour\
C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Apple\
C:\Programme\iTunes\
C:\Programme\iPod\

Fehlermeldung 13019 beim Synchronisieren mit iTunes

Wenn ich mein iPhone4 mit iTunes Synchronisieren möchte, erscheint jedes Mal folgende Fehlermeldung:
Das iPhone "Name des iPhones" kann nicht synchronisiert werden. Ein unbekannter Fehler ist aufgetreten (13019).
Ich habe schon alles versucht, was in den Foren auf Englisch empfohlen wird - vergeblich - immer wieder die gleiche Fehlermeldung! An die tolle Firma Apple kann man sich auch nicht wenden, weil sie eine Problembehandlung nur gegen Kohle machen - eine Sauerei - schließlich wirft Apple mit Updates nur so um sich und wenn dann plötzlich die Fehlermeldung kommt, dann soll man dafür bezahlen, dass ich diesen Fehler wieder weg bekomme!
Wer kann mir helfen - wenn möglich auf Deutsch?

TS1372 After the latest iTunes update iTunes no longer sees either of my ipods. Diagnostics says no ipod connected. However my laptop, which is running Window 8.1 does see the ipod.

After the latest iTunes update neither of my iPods are recognized by iTunes, so I am unable to sync. When I run diagnostics it says no device connected. My laptop sees my iPod so I know it is connected. I have tried all of the recommended iTunes fixes and none work. I tried deleting and reinstalling both an older version and the newest version. The older version would not reconize my music libray. Any thouhts?

Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

With Windows Vista, the most recent Itunes update 1/30/2014 has caused Itunes not to work, with a Mscvr80.dll not found error. Uninstalled all Apple programs, and installed fresh Itunes. Same problem. Tried to reinstall using an older install exe nogo

Recent ITunes update has caused ITunes not to work. Tried uninstalling all Apple products and reinstalling fresh. Still doesn't work. Tried reinstalling from an old install.exe. Install went nicely but program won't start as it says it can't open the library file.

Now that I have no way of accessing any of the products I have purchased from ITunes, I will most certainly never use ITunes again for any reason. Why throw good money after bad? I will use another MP3 player that is not as cumbersome or proprietary.

After doing some data mining, found out from community this is an long standing APPLE problem- which doesn't get much tech support in terms of fixes. I have an HPPavillion DV6 64 bit, Windows 7 OS . After reading an earlier complaint from 2009 in the support community, I ran diagnostics from ITunes which gave the following result. Can someone please help? (I'm not enough of a techie to know what I'm doing or how to locate /reinstall CD drivers. I am searching for driver disc but cannot locate.)

Doublechecking ... did you have CD/DVD drive tests checked when you ran those diagnostics? (I'm not seeing the CD/DVD test results down the bottom of the results where I'd expect to see them.)

As it says above, i have been having a lot f trouble with my ipod classic and the latest itunes update, i was unable to sync songs or anything to it and have tried every conceivable 'fix' i could find. i have run an itunes diagnostic and the results are posted below. a major problem is that when i try and view my ipod through my computer it displays nothing at all on the ipod, no files or anything, this may be the problem but i have no idea how it has happened or how i could resolve it.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

Receipt in recent iTunes update

My work recently issued me an iPod touch (the only reason I have an Apple product) and I purchased an app for work. I need a receipt to be reimbursed. I made the purchase over 72 hours ago and have not recited an email, and yes, I checked my junk mail. The instructions in the Support Community require iTunes (why I need another program to manage my purchases I don't get) but the instructions don't apply to the recent iTunes update. Does anyone know how to get a receipt with the new iTunes update? Please help.

You should have an emailed receipt to the primary email address that is on the iTunes account. If that is the email account that you are checking and the email isn't there then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will send a copy (which is probably unlikely) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
Or would a screenshot of your purchase history be sufficient ? If it is then you can see the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com, or there is a better version of your purchase history viewable via a computer's iTunes : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store.
