Konqueror and sftp: only green window

I have always liked to use konqueror for remote access via sftp, even though I don't use kde, because it's so easy, very intuitive. But something seems to have got a bit broken recently because all I get now when I log in to a remote site is a green window with '0B' in the corner. Does anyone have an idea what's going on? Maybe some kde package missing, or is it a new bug or feature? I managed to do the transfers with filezilla, but konqueror was much nicer.

the bottom line is that the Mac world is just a little bit different than the Windows world:
The idea behind the green bubble is not to maximise the window - it makes the window just big enough to show all the content of the window! This is also the reason why the window might actually shrink when you click the green bubble.
I agree that this is something to get used to when you come from windows - it's just something different. Some people think it's annoying, others like it. It's a matter of personal taste.
As for the application retaining the default window size: This depends on the application. Some apps have it implemented to remember their last window size and position - others don't. Take Firefox for example - it will open with the window just the same it was when you closed it the last time.

Encryptfs, PAM and sftp-only option within OpenSSH

Following the Arch wiki I've setup auto-mounting of ~/.Private directories using PAM. These encrypted directories are mounted upon ssh login, and unmounted with ssh logoff (which is a really nice feature BTW!!)
If I restrict the OpenSSH user to sftp only -- would the ~/.Private directory still be auto-mounted?

Sun SSH is a branch from OpenSSH version 1.2.12
So yes, it's OpenSSH. No I wouldn't try applying an OpenSSH 4.x patch to it.

Yes, insert the install disc #1, shut down, restart while holding the c key down, and follow the on screen prompts.

2 computers running windows-xp. niether will show video in itunes, only a black or a green screen. I went to video card and downloaded the latest windows drivers. All videos worked well after rebooting the drivers.2hours later the screen reverted to green

When trying to sign out of Hotmail the "back navigation button" remains green and I have to click sign out again and the same thing happens over and over and the only way to close Hotmail is to go to File and Close Frame, so what's my problem?

When I attempt to sign out of Hot Mail by clicking "Sign Out," I get the "Sign In" instruction as I always have, however, the green Firefox navigation button remains on bright green (not going to gray) and my MSN home page will not close automatically as usual. I click on the green arrow and I get an instruction to "Sign Out" again. I click on that and get the "Sign In" again but the arrow stays green. I can repeat this countless times and never get signed out and always remaining on the MSN home page. The only way I can close is to go to File and click on Close Window and then my homepage will close and go back to desktop. I've been using Firefox for a couple of years now (IE prior to that for ten years) and have never had this problem. After using "Close Window" I go back onto my home page, from the desktop, and the navigation button is grayed out normally until I sign in again and we start the cycle over again. Have I been hacked?

I was doing a side-by-side comparison of the new and old server (we backed up the server before the reformat) and I can see that, evidently, CR XI was installed. We have the directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0 and all the versions match what is located in the project's bin directory. Does this confirm that I did have XI installed and licensed at one time?
If I purchase a more recent version, couldn't I update the reports to use the newer version? I have all the source code.
Thanks for your help, it is a nice sanity check for me after hours of reading forums and documentation.
Also, just a shot in the dark, but I'm assuming it wouldn't do me any good to simply restore the aforementioned folder to my C drive? Would that work if I registered all the dll's?

To be clear, I do have VS 2003 & 2005, and I have the source code. I just have never used Crystal Reports in any of my .NET apps because the need wasn't there, so recompiling is not out of the question.

Also, I looked at the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll that was in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\Managed folder and when I right-click and view the properties, then the Version tab, in addition to the 11.0.9500.2 version number, there is a property called Product Version that has the value .NET. Does that mean that this dll was bundled with Visual Studio?
I also found this directory on the old server...does this tell you anything?

I did see that you can still buy XI from CDW. I have a call into them currently to check with Business Objects for any registrations from my company.

Instead of removing the music from the cloud or the iTunes library why not shuffle your music using a Smart Playlist which excludes the holiday music, or tracks that are not checked. For example, use this very simple Smart Playlist:

Hi musicfan,<br />Sorry you are having problems with Firefox. Maybe you should have asked earlier and we could have fixed it.
Reading your comments I do not see that rolling back to an insecure Firefox 22 will actually help you much. You are probably best using IE, unless you have also damaged that.

Most others will not be having such problems. We are now able to say that with confidence because after developers missed a regression in Firefox 4 telemetry was introduced so that data was obtained. When downloading is complete, I can not see, run, nor access the file; it only appears in the "Downloads" window (and not the specified folder) and the only options permitted are to delete it, or to go to the download web site; what's blocking it?

I have a similar problem when accessing .zip files that are attachments to my emails. Here, however, I can place the file in a designated folder, however, the .zip file and it's compressed content files are file-typed as "FireFox Document" and I get permissions errors when running an unzip tool.
Why are my download files being quarantined ??? Is there a security setting option I need to change???
To get around this, I'm using IE to download and install these files, but switching back & forth between FireFox & IE is a real pain.

Details : I want use a "ssh bundle package" on s10(only package on SUNWCXall installation cluster). I don't want to use the "extrernal package", as "ProFTP", "Chroot", sunfreeware OpenSSH package,ecc. It's possible?

For example, you could make a directory explorer/uploads that allow people to write in.Then you can moderate what gets copied into the read-only /explorer area. Remember that if a user can write in a directory then they can also delete anything in that directory.

I'm using a 2014 iMac and a Win 8.1 64bit install disc with bootcamp. I created the ISO according to the instructions but when I selected it in bootcamp I got the following error "Boot Camp only supports Windows 7 or later..."

Bootcamp rejects the ISO file made from a windows 8.1 disc with the error message "Boot Camp only supports Windows 7 or later installation on this platform. Please use an ISO file for Windows 7 or later installation."
How do I get past this?

No the ISO is just 64bit. I bought a shrink wrapped copy of 8.1 full version. It has two discs, one for 32bit and one for 64bit. I used the 64bit disc.
I inserted it in an older iMac that has a dvd drive, and shared that across to my new iMac. I used disc utility to create a disc image following instructions I found here...
Boot Camp: Creating an ISO image from a Windows installation DVD - Apple Support
This created an ISO file. I then went into bootcamp but when I tried to use the ISO file to create a boot USB it failed with the error above.

Please find your Mac Model Identifier from About This Mac -> (More Info) -> System Report -> Hardware and compare it to the following list. If your model identifier appears in this list, you can only install Windows 7.

I am getting a bit concerned about what is happening in your situation. Yesterday you posted your question in at least two different forums, one of them being here in the Premiere Elements Forum.

Wherever you posted, the reply was to contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat. It is the only one who can sort out this matter for you.
In the thread cited above I offered to help you with the difficulties that you were having visualizing the Adobe Chat in its web page. I was waiting for your follow up on that in the above thread. Instead, I find your same question in a new Adobe Premiere Elements Forum thread this afternoon with no refer the prior threads or prior recommendations given you.
I will also mention again...when you buy the Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements bundled in one packaging and with installation files for each on the same installation disc, each program has its own serial number. The Photoshop Elements serial number does not work for Premiere Elements and vice versa. The serial numbers are on labels on a box which houses the installation disc envelope(s). So, if you purchased both programs and found the Photoshop Elements serial number, then the Premiere Elements serial number should be in a label right underneath the label with the serial number for Photoshop Elements. I recall writing this in your yesterday's thread on this matter.
The moderator will no doubt be along shortly to close or delete this thread. So, just in case, please bookmark your yesterday's thread cited above so that we can continue this communication which is trying to help you.
