Konqueror "Home" button per profile

The thing that kept me from using konqueror as my default browser was that there was no per profile configuration for home button. I wanted a website for web browsing and my home directory for file browsing. Now I actually found out this was possible by putting "HomeURL=" option in profile but there's no GUI configuration for this(?).
Am I the only one who didn't knew about this? or am I just blind and can't find the GUI option for this.
But anyway, now i can probably ditch firefox for good

Bring your phone into Apple for evaluation. Sounds like you're developing a hardware issue.

Profile Manager - Remove icons in ipad and disable home button

Hello,
First of all sorry for my bad english.
Im working on a project, installed LION Server with Profile Manager configured, also Enrolled my iPad, i can also push the settings in to the ipad.
But now what i realy want, what the meaning of the project is; remove all of the icons and place only one icon (WEBCLIP) and what even will be beter is, when i boot my iPad the webclip popups by default. Is this possible guys?

It's impossible to develop an iPad app that can't be closed until some actions are done. The iPad programmer cannot override what happens when the user presses the 'Home' button. The 'Home' button will always tell the front application to go to the background, and if that application doesn't cooperate within a reasonable time it will be terminated.
Bear in mind that an iPad is an overgrown iPhone. It's always possible that someone will phone you up when you're running an app, and the app must release control and let you answer that phonecall.
I suggest you discuss the design philosophy with whoever wants the application, remembering that computers are meant to help us do what we want to do, not boss us about.

Customize Home Button in iStore profile page

When we navigate to iStore home page --> Profile --> Click here if you want to change password
In this page there is a home button. On the click of the same it takes to the responsibility screen wherein it shows the responsibility assigned to that iStore user. But we want to go to the iStore home page instead.
We found that the buttons in the change password screen is coded in GlobalButtsLOV.uix
But we couldn't find which is the property file in which the URL specified in GlobalButtsLOV.uix is actually coded.
In GlobalButtsLOV.uix it is specified as data:destination="homeURL@globalButtons" but which is the property file in which
this homeURL@globalButtons will be coded.

From my experience of self service applications, i have seen that the back destination is setup while a page forward is processed. which means when the change pwd page is being called, the calling page stores back destination in a transient variable.
You would want to check the controller of this page (pardon me if its JSP) and see if the code that runs when home button is clicked. If its retriving back destination, you could change the back link there to istore homepage.

My location bar, tool bar (file, edit, tools, bookmarks, help) disappeared and cannot be restored. I have no back button, home button etc. the top of the screen is just an empty blue bar. Internet still works if I click on a hyperlink on the main page.

The problem started when I turned on the computer this morning. I tried to install Mozilla 4 from your website and that installed but I still have nothing on the top.

It may be due to Firebug. Seeing as how you're a web developer, it's very possible you have this installed. The latest version, 1.7X a10, appears to cause everything you described. I downgraded to "a8" and that seems to have fixed everything.
I also recreated a profile from scratch before trying this out, so I can't guarantee it's definitely Firebug.

How can I make Firefox remember my preferred location for the "home" button?

Since the 5.0 update, I can go into 'options,' click 'toolbar layouts,' and then drag the "home" button icon to my preferred location (back on the left beside the URL line). However, when I close the browser window open a new one, the "home" icon is back in its original and undesirable location. I have tried editing the prefs.js / user.js folders within my profile directory, but I cannot seem to find anything that relates (to my knowledge) to this issue. I am using a theme add-on which is fully compatible with 5.0. I am able to save other preferences such as the location of my tabs (on bottom), so I'm not having an issue with every setting. It's a drag to have to move the mouse way over to the right to go home... other than this, all appears well. Please help! Thank you for your time.

Some sites (like and others) like PayPal, Yahoo, Windows Live and bank sites use ''autocomplete="off"'' to prevent Firefox from saving the name and the password.
If a site uses ''autocomplete="off"'' then look at this article for a bookmarklet to remove that autocomplete attribute.

I'm sorry that you're having issues with Firefox and Farmville. My first suggestion is to ensure that your plugins are up to date. For instance, Farmville relies on the Flash plugin, and I've noticed that your version is slightly out of date. Also, some add-ons, like CoolIris, require a fair amount of system resources to operate. i love add-ons and wouldn't surf the web without them, but sometimes it's easier to disable all of them and just turn on the ones you use to determine if any of them are the culprit.
Another way to determine whether or not the problem is with Firefox or your installed add-ons is to create a fresh profile. You can create a new profile alongside your existing one that doesn't have any of your add-ons or bookmarks installed. Don't worry, it doesn't delete any of your existing data and switching between profiles is easy.

I want to set up firefox in kiosk mode, but I need to have the Back (and Forward) button and the Home button available.

The computer will be used only for online catalog access in my library. I need to remove the location toolbar, but keep the back buttons and home button. If I use Kiosk mode, I don't have the back buttons. I can set it up so that I have the buttons but not the URL, but a user could right click on the menu bar and re-enable the location bar. I need to prevent them from doing that.

Users can always bring up a location bar with the Ctrl+L shortcut if that bar is hidden.
A possibility is to hide toolbar items and (context) menu items with code in userChrome.css below the default @namespace line.

Did I break my home button or what?

last 2 months, I think, I was just continuously taking screenshots (maybe 4 screenshots per second) then after 3 seconds the home button just "locked"? I don't know how to describe it but let's just say that the home button clicks normal, then when I broke it it felt like it won't go down unless you put 20KGs of pressure, but now it's almost impossible to even just click it. Did it lock? or it might have just been misplaced? because I don't think it was misplaced because I don't see gaps on the sides of the home button

IPhone 4 Home Button

So just up until pretty recent, my iPhone 4 (VZ) has been fine, now the home button isn't always working.
This ONLY occurred after 5.1.1 too.
One hour it will, the next it won't. After a recalibration, it works for a few clicks, then stops. Right now it's laggy and doesn't always register. Turing off and on, has it work for about 10 minutes.
So I am pretty certain it is NOT a hardware issue, if it works and then stops, because when it does, it works perfect.
Apple, you need to fix this. On top of that, having to PAY for support? Especially on such an expensive product, or even pay per incedent? That's pretty outrageous.

If you have Warranty or AppleCare Coverage make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution. If no Coverage, then the replacement iPhone 4 cost is $149.
To Fix. Replace Home Button Flex Cable, $2 part. See if fixed. Still problem. Replace Dock Connector Assembly, $10 part. See if fixed. Still problem. Replace iPhone Logic Board.

If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless. It is likely what you already tried but I want to be sure...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." How to disable home button vibration?

I am using Z2 Pro, the phone vibrates when I press the home button, the menu button, or the back button. How can I disable this? I disabled vibrating for the virtual keyboard, however, the home, back, and menu keys still vibrate - and I cant disable it. Any idea how to disable it?

Go to Settings-->Audio profiles-->Press/Tap on the mechanic wheel symbol(symbol on the right of each profile) of the ''General'' profile-->Unmark ''Vibrate on touch'' (same goes for the ''Outdoor'' audio profile).

I have a big problem, my iPhone4 home button doesn't work anymore.

I went to use my phone this morning, as per usual, and the home button would not work.
Why? Does anyone know how to fix it?

If you home button presses down but does not work then restore it back to it's factory settings and set up as new- it might be just a software issue.
If the home button is stuck or hard to press than it is a hardware issue that if in warranty you can get it replaced for free, if not they will replace for $149
or if you are eligible for an upgrade you can always do that.

Loud click from home button

I recently purchased an iPhone 4 and a 3GS from AT&T. While I like the iphone 4, I have noticed that the home button on that has more travel and a noticably louder click than 3GS. Since I have never owned an iPhone before, I was hoping if the gurus on this forum can help me understand if this is a normal behavior for the iphone 4. I am especially worried if this will get worse going forward.
I would wait to hear on this forum before I take my phone to the apple store for evaluation of this issue.

Per the redesign the home button, volume buttons, and power button were designed to have a more click sense sound. It's designed like that on purpose to give it more feel to the customers.
A few don't enjoy it, but others like it or don't mind it.
Nothing to be afraid of. Just to get used to and enjoy.
