Korg Wavestation Plug ins not appearing in Logic 9.1.3

Hi all;
New to the Forums and Logic. I just upgraded to Logic Express from Garageband and Im still pretty new. I am finding my way around ok but I am having an issue with my Korg Wavestation Plug ins showing up in Logic.
They show up fine in Garageband, and if I open a Garageband Project that used Wavestation instrumentation they are there too.
However, If I start a new projct The choice for Wavestation does not appear, only the Apple Plug ins. I went into the AU manager and KORG wavestation is listed nd I tried uninstall and reinstall. Am I supposed to use MIDI in stead of sofware instrument ?
BTW its Korg Legacy Collection v1.6.6 Logic is v 9.1.3 and Its on a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHZ Duo Core with 8GB RAM
Any help appreciated... I searched but couldnt find any relevant threads
M

Set Logic to open in 32-bit mode, then open a default empty project (not one you're working on) Logic should validate the plugins... after it's finished, close Logic, re-set to 64-bit mode and you should be ok.

  • Plug-Ins Not Showing In Logic Pro 9

Hey guys, I'm having some trouble with plug-ins in Logic Pro 9. Any of the third-party plug-ins I have installed (I've checked the location in the Components folder and they're all there, so I guess it's not something related to the plug-ins location) don't show up, even after rescaning the AU library, reopening Logic and all that stuff.
Anybody has a clue about what could cause this and how to solve it, please?
    Cheers!

If you ran Logic Pro in 32bit mode first and then in 64bit mode.. any 32bit plugins which you have installed, will appear under either the Software Instrument button (In LP9) or the Insert FX button for a Software Instrument track....
    If they dont then either..
You didn't install the AU version of the plugin.... in which case, please do so and then again run LP in 32bit mode and then 64bit mode to make the 32bit version appear in LP 64bit mode..
    or....
You are not looking in the right place as shown below..
    or...
You are trying to access a software Instrument on an Audio Track which wont work.. Create a Software instrument track and try again...
    or..
You are not using a legal version of the 32bit plugin...... in which case, asking here is a bit of a dumb move...
Here is a screenshot of where the Software Instrument button is in LP9... Click and hold.. on it and look for the 32bit AU plugin sub menu and choose Sylenth...

  • GPO and RA plug-ins not working in Logic Pro 8.0.2

I have installed RA and GPO on my Mac Book Pro. When I open Logic Pro they are not appearing in the Plug-in list. Kontakt 2 is but won't let me load individual instruments for GPO. The strange thing is I also have a copy of Logic Express and both RA and GPO work fine here (even though they don't pass the AU validation). They also work as stand alones fine. In Logic Pro, RA and GPO do not appear in the AU validation list. Can anyone help? I have all the latest updates as far as I am aware. It's very annoying!

There's no Auval or RA or Garritan Personal Orchestra in the Audio Units Manager in Logic Pro. Though Stylus RMX that I also use and Kontakt Player 2 are there and successfully validated. The RA and Kontakt Player component are exactly in the place you said they would be.
I've since discovered that RA does not in fact work in Logic Express. As for whether it's loading up in Rosetta or PPC version - how do I tell that?
I really appreciate your help but I'm still stuck at square 1. Any more suggestions?!!

  • Photoshop CS6 Plug-ins not appearing when clicked under extension drop-down menu

I noticed that for some reason, my default extensions that come with photoshop cs6 extended and also custom installed plug-ins won't appear when clicked on.  Usually you see a check mark by the plug-in if it is working and is visible on the photoshop layout as a panel.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, which the Kuler extension worked, but only under the workspace that I opened it up for.  So for example, I opened it up on Essential workspace, but it wouldn't appear when changed to painting workspace.  When I close the panel from the workspace, it won't ever come back up again even when clicked on under the extension drop-down menu on any workspace.  This is occuring not just on my desktop, but also on my laptop.  Both are not Photoshop CC, but regular Photoshop CS6.
I don't really mess around with the extensions much, but once I found out about the painterswheel plugin, I really wanted to try it out, hence now noticing this extension issue with my plug-in..
All my plug-ins appear on the drop down menu for Windows > Extensions, so it shouldn't be a file placement problem.  I have also tried the Adobe troubleshoot for plugins by uninstalling my plug-ins to see if third party plug-ins were the problem, but still my default plug-ins won't even work.

I'm a little confused with what you write. There is a difference between extensions and Plug-ins.  Plug-ins are installed using the plug-ins installer and extensions are installed by "Adobe Extension Manager (version)" where version is the Photoshop version and the extension package must be created for that particular Photoshop version.  A CS5 package will not work in CS6 etc.   Installed extensions will be listed in Photoshop under menu Windows>Extensions>List of them.  Plug-in may install in the Filters menu or a place like menu File>Automate>Names.  Installed Extensions that you installed should also show in the  "Adobe Extension Manager (version)" window. Adobe installed extensions like Kuler and Mini Bridge do not show in the "Adobe Extension Manager (version)" window.

  • 3rd Party Plug-ins not Found by Logic 9.1.7

I recently purchased two high quality plug-ins that are designed for Logic... they are both AU; one is the Eventide Blackhole reverb and the other Antares Mutator.  I have a ton of other plug-ins that loaded perfectly in the past and are still present.  BUT, for some reason, both of these installed successfully but Logic (running in 64-bit mode) skips right past the fact that they are in the Library/Audio/Plug-ins directory.
I am in the middle of doing remixes for a large band and really want to use these.  Can anyone help???
    Thanks,
    Raven Lynch

Set Logic to open in 32-bit mode, then open a default empty project (not one you're working on) Logic should validate the plugins... after it's finished, close Logic, re-set to 64-bit mode and you should be ok.

  • Plug-ins not recognised in logic and ableton live

Ive put all my plug in files in Library/Audio/plugins/components but still logic and ableton live doesnt recognise these plug in files. I realy need those plug-ins, what is going on????????

    I understand why it's a painful process.
If a developer is making Mac-only software, and already using XCode, then making a unibin version is not too painful (ranging from trivial to a little bit of work).
However, if you're a large cross-platform company using a different compiler, you may have to completely change a development infrastructure you've built up over years, redevelop all your custom tools, and find solutions to the cross-platform issue, before even writing any code - and that can be a very big deal indeed.
The real point is that the customer should be aware of these things before making any critical decisions...
Ok, I'll go back to hankering after a MacBook Pro and a Mac Pro now. Anyone else like to go "window-shopping" in the Apple Online Store, and seeing how much your dream config costs...? A £7K Mac Pro, now we're talking...

  • Migrating PS CS3 to Intel with OS 10.5.6 Plug-ins Not Available

After migrating CS3 to MacBook Pro, 10.5.6, a list of unavailable plug-ins comes up. All except two were PS plug-ins, NOT aftermarket. Sure enough, they don't show up in the filters menu. I don't know where else they are missing. (migrated from Powerbook 10.4.11)
    What is to be done?
    CS3, OS 10.5.6/ MB Pro 2GB ram, 2.4 Ghz

Migrating is never a great idea, but migrating an application originally installed under Tiger on a PowerPC machine to a Mac-Intel box running Leopard goes beyond being a monumentally bad, horrendous idea. It's sheer lunacy!
You need to wipe out that drive, or at least use the Adobe Uninstaller (installed by CS3 in Applications/Utilities/Adobe/ on your old machine), look for, download and run the CS3Clean script, and then install the application from the original media.
Also, realize that any plug-ins that were not written in Universal Binary will NOT run under CS3 on the Mac-Intel machine,
unless you run CS3 under Rosetta software emulation with a corresponding
    massive performance hit.
    Never, ever try
    "migrating" again. :(

  • I am using CS4. Can I open CS6 files? I am receiving "plug-ins not available on your system" messages and I'd like to open anyway but clicking on OK doesn't work.

I am using CS4. Can I open CS6 files? I am receiving "plug-ins not available on your system" messages and I'd like to open anyway but clicking on OK doesn't work.

InDesign CS4 can open .indd, .indt  and .inx files from earlier versions, but not from later. It should, however, be able to open .idml files saved or exported from newer versions, with the understanding that unsupported features will be lost, text will probably reflow due to differences in texts engines between versions, and that the greater the gap between versions the more likely there are to be noticeable differences from the original. You will need to be sure CS4 is at version 7.0.6 to read the .idml.

  • Plug ins not indicating presets/number

Wondering if anyone may know what may be causing the preset selection on plug-ins not to show anymore. I'm getting this (_ _ _), instead of what used to be preset 01, 02, or 03 etc..... .I'm thinking maybe I need more ram, or the battery on my mac is running low, but I'm not sure.

    In response to your questions
    1. I did not install them.  They were installed by CS4.  (I have the CS4 premium production suite for Mac)
    2. Correct.--  the project that I opened shows the plugin.  And the plug-in is fully operational.  All the parameters work.
    3. Correct--. the plug-ins are not found in the Effect menu, nor the Effects and Presets panel but they are in the Plug-un Folder (see below).  This makes me wonder how many more plugins  I have that I cannot get access to.  I realize that all of the features in the PSClassic and PS LE Classic are probably in the Particle System II, but using the PS Classic was easy and straight forward compared to figuring out all of the parameters in Particle system to get similar results.
Notice the date on the plug-in in the attached picture (Created 6/22/09)
If you have CS3 or CS4 you probably have these plugins in your folder also.  The last copyright on the book is 2004.

  • 3rd Party Plug-Ins Not Listed Under Inserts

I have recently installed two 3rd party plug-in software - Stylus RMX and Kontakt 2. I installed the latest versions of the software that are compatible with an Intel based Mac. They appear under the library/audio/plug-ins/components but they do not appear under any of the headings in the Inserts tab.
Do you I have to reinstall Logic Express 8 after installing the plug-ins? Do I have to direct Logic Express 8 to the components directory. I have read all the manuals and I cannot find the solution.
    Please help.

Thanks for the quick response. The RMX plug-in is in the Audio Units Manager. When I Reset and Rescan I get the following response which at the end is a pass, but the RMX plug in still does not show up in the Inserts tab.

  • Yamaha o1x Issue with plug ins not showing on the DAW

Hi everyone, Been a while since I have used the Logic program, and I have updated the software as it was developed over the years. First I have already discovered that the Mlan will not connect in 64 bit mode and boot my macbook pro in 32 bit. I completed a mix a few weeks ago and need to eq certain areas and this job would be a breeze using my Yamaha O1x which is old but still works marvelously but the plug ins controls are not appearing on the DAW which is most frustrating. I am doing a number of experiments ( Which I would prefer not to ) to see if any plug ins work and plan two is to use an old 12" power pc and load an older version of logic and use the dongle to finish this up, failing that I guess I will have to do the finger dance with my track pad. Anyone have this issue? Anyone using a newer operating system and current logic pro using an O1x and having no issues? Thanks for reading. Cheers Chris

Not sure those plugins will work on recent versions of OSX and Logic, but if they could work it won't be on the initial version of OSX 10.7.5 which had a serious AU plugin problem... er.. BUG!
See if the supplemental update helps... (I would reboot after installing)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1599
If not, going back to the older PPC system may be the only choice.
I set up an O1X in a small studio many years ago, nice mixer, we used a digital patchbay and a master wordclock to sync up various digital devices.

  • Plug-ins unavailable after reinstalling Logic Pro 7.2 upgrade

I have been running Logic Pro 7.2 which was purchased as an upgrade from Logic Gold with an Emagic XS key. Everything had been running fine until recently when I had to reformat my startup partition and reinstall everything.
Reinstalling Logic Gold seemed to be straight forward. It booted up as normal with all Logic and third party plug-ins appearing in their drop down folders when selecting a plug in.
I then proceeded to reinstall Logic Pro 7.2 upgrade only to find that all of Logic's AU plug-ins and third party plug-ins were no longer available to me within Logic Pro 7.2...?
I'm absolutely puzzled by this. Can any anyone help me?

    Hey Sparco.
I was wondering the same thing, as I've recently done this as well (bought LP after owning LE, that is). I was always wondering whether or not I needed it there, or even GB for that matter. I almost deleted LE/GB, until I realized that the programs themselves aren't taking up that much space. What takes up the most space are the sample libraries, apple loops (at least the non-midi ones), and perhaps some of the plugins. As far as I can tell, Logic Pro will install as a separate app, but it will share all of the file resources with LE and GB, and just add extra stuff on top (like the ES2, Scultpure, etc etc). I don't think you'd be saving all that much space getting rid of LE.
Besides, having LE around means that you don't ALWAYS need the xskey. Perfect for anyone running a laptop.
