KP97 - Planning data flow to SPL

Hi,
I need some clarity on the process I am doing.
I created a planning version and copied all actual/plan data from version - 0.
Business user maintained values against SKF in KP46.
When I tried to do KP97 the values got copied over, however with negative sign.
I am not sure why it is copying with negative sign.
Any suggestion.

Unable to copy plan data through KP97

Hi,
we are trying to copy plan data from budget to forecast c01 for current fiscal year.We could not copy the plan data. On our investigation we found that if we copy cost centres individually planning data for all but two cost centres are copied. Thus we cannot copy data for two cost centres and system issues no errors either in test run or in actual run.
What could be wrong ? any ideas?

Check the validity of the cost centers. Also check the block indicators in cost center master data.

KP97 Copy Plan Data - Cummulate in Target Version

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to commulate (sum) cost center plan data while copying from one plan version to another. Such functionality was avaiable through [SAP Note 792372 - KP97ff.: Cumulating copying |https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/792372]in 4.6C version.
However, now we are on ECC6.0 EhP4 and this SAP Note cannot be implemented in system. Any idea how we can get such functionality in ECC6.

I just checked an ECC 600 system, the message that needs to be created based on note 792372 (message class KPT3 message number 034) is there so I guess the other functionality is there as well...

0vtype =20 (plan data) not populating to cube but present in psa

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement in BW 3.5 where in I need to create a report on multiprovider which should give the actual data,plan data and the difference between actual and plan data for some key figures.
The data flow is like this
There are two cubes one for actual and the other for plan ,I am able to get the actual data (10) for actual cube from R/3 .
But the problem is with plan cube,I am not able to get the plan data (20) to the plan cube (to the field 0vtype) ,but the data is coming till psa from R/3,there is no routine present in update rule also,but still data is not showing up for this 0vtype in plan cube...
I have tried loading selectively (020) by giving 020 as constant in the update rule..but still no luck
The datasource that is fetching plan data is 1_CO_PA_PLN1000.
Could you please suggest how to proceed further

Checking the mapping between the 0vtype and the source fiedls.
Check in transfer rules first if it is mapped or not.
Transfer rules are not mapped to source fields then correct it .

Oracle to SAP BI with BCS u2013 Best Data flow Design.

We are a SAP implementation team. We are @ Blue Print stage. My client is a RETAIL Business Gaint. Client has 50 % of Transaction data and Master data in Oracle data base. Now we are moving to BI 7.0 and also has plans to use SAP-BCS.
We would like to map all the existing Oracle tables to BI. Provide any clue regarding the best Data flow (From Oracle 10G to BI 7.0).

You have mentioned that you have a Oracle 10g system as a data inflow which perfectly sets the platform to extract the data from the Oracle system to SAP BW system.
This Can be done through the DB connect ,through where you could select the necessary tables and form them as a datasource in BI system,further creating the usual BI objects on top of the DS.
Once the Data is in BI ,we could pull the BI cube or form a replica of the cube in BCS application format to use it in the BCS environment.

AirPlay Data Flow?

I'm about to purchase an Airport Express to connect to my home stereo receiver via audio-cable.
Planning to be able to output the sound usually coming out of my iPad thru my big stereo system, from Apps such as YouTube, Pandora, TuneIn Radio, Spotify, etc.
Wondering how much wifi data traffic this will cause and if it drains the iPad battery more quickly.
Could somebody please let me know which of the below two scenarios applies to Airplay. 1 or 2.
I will use the Spotify App as an example and seperate data into Music Data and Command Data. Command Data is things such as Play, Pause, Skip, Next, Volume, etc.

It is important to note that AirPlay itself contains both the data & command streams.

Spotify (in the Cloud) ~~> Airport Express (on my Wifi/or Ethernet, stereo system connected to Airport Express)
Command data (=) flows as such (Command Data is play, pause, skip, next, volume, etc.)
iOS Device ==> Airport Express ==> Spotify in the Cloud
Spotify would require a host device. As you know that could be a computer or iOS device. So, in your first flow diagram, Spotify cannot directly stream to an AirPort Express from the Cloud. Instead it would be like your flow diagram in item (2) of your post.
Both the Spotify App and the process of using AirPlay to stream to the Express would be the source of the battery drain as you suspected.

Version 999 Project System Plan Data Issue

I am using transaction CJ9B to copy the Project System related plan data i.e. plan data at the WBS element level from Version 10F, period 1 to 12 in year 2010 to version 999, period 1 to 12 in year 2010. The transaction CJ9B runs successfully in the update mode. But when report CJI4 is executed for version 999, period 1 to 12 in year 2010 then we do not find plan data in sync with version 10F.
I analysed this issue, had a meeting with end user and blanked out target version 999 using source version 9ZR for the year 2010. Then I again copied version 999 from version 10F. Still plan data in version 999 do not exist as they are in version 10F. I have checked the version 999 master data in transaction OKEV. Integrated Planning for SPL, COPA, cost center accounting and business process is active. COPY Allowed is also enabled. Version 999 is unlocked as well.
Hence I am not sure why the copy functionality is not working fine for version 999, period 1 to 12 in year 2010.
Can you please take a look and revert with your opinion so that this issue can be fixed ?

If you want to copy all the plan date from 10F to 999, then in Txn CJ9B
select the indicator reset and overwrite in target version and execute in test mode.

Dear all,
I have done the planning g/l wise using T.code gp12n and FSE5N but still planned data is not apparing in report (tr.code S_PL0_86000029.)
For GL planning I have configured the following
1. Define Plan Periods
2. Fiscal Year Dependent Version Parameters
3. Activation of Line Item Updates for the Version
4. Define Doc.Types for Planning
5. Assignment of Number Ranges
Actual data is flowing but not planned data.
Please Advice.

Do not use the report that you have stated. It is useful in case if you have implemented new GL Accounting functionality.
Instead, you are advised to use S_ALR_87012253

Incorrect product in the transactional cube for opportunity planning data.

We're loading our Opportunity planning data of CRM in a transactional cube in BW side. Later this transactional cube data is then uploaded into a standard cube.
For an opportunity, user enter some planning data for a given product (A). which was duly stored in transactional and then later in the standard cube. Then user deleted the product (A) and entered a new product (B) on CRM side. However in the transactional cube, records for the previous product (A) also exist and the same flows to the standard cube as well.
Fyi, delta load mechanism is in place for loading of both types of cubes.
Could someone throw some light why the old item (product A) is still there in the cubes. coz this gives a wrong picture in the report, though the key figures for product A are 0.

A daily compression would remove the loading details of the cube that are visible to us for any back-tracking, Normally we do the compression for load requests older than 2 weeks.
But the suggestion is good, incase i do not come up with any other soln, will think of implementing this.
Maybe my delta load knowledge is not good enough.
Please answer the following.
What happens, when we're using standard data sources (with delta load) for loading data from (say) CRM to BW and for a given header guid, a item guid record is later deleted in CRM. On BW side, whether this item_guid record will still be present in the cube or be deleted.

We can copy standard Infocube to Realtime Infocube ,it will work in BI7.0.
The procedure is 1) Go to Context menu of Standard IC and select copy option.
                             2)In Edit IC option select Real Time and create it ,it copies as real time info cube.
                             3)But for Loading data,Go to context menu of Real time IC and select option Change Real Time Load Behavior
                                 we get 2 options the first one is 1)Real time data target can be loaded with data,planning not allowed ,if we select data will be loaded.
                             4)if we go for second option that is 2)Real time data target can be planned , data Loading not allowed ,if we select this,it is used for planning that is comparison of data.
                            5) This is difference between standard and Real Time InfoCube.

Sales data flow

Hello Experts,
This is my first post in this forum. Kindly help.
In my sales data flow, I have header and item data for deliveries, orders and billing. What should be my best data flow if I am trying to build a EDW?
a. Orders, Deliveries and Billing, say each have two DSO's, one for header and one for item. That means for the three areas, 6 DSOs. Consider Orders only now. Should I load the order header and order item into two seperate cubes and then join them by a multiprovider to get a multiprovider for Sales Order. And create similar cubes for deliveries and billing. And if I wanted to consolidate all three areas, then could I have a multiprovider with 6 cubes (2 each for order, delivery and billing - header and item) ?
b. Or should I have a Consoliadtion DSO on top of Orders header and item so that I have a DSO with order information with header information stamped on each of the item records? and have similar consolidation DSO's for deliveries and billing? (that means extra data loads) and then load an order cube with data from the consolidation order DSO? and similarly two more cubes for biiling and dels? and then have a MP on top of these three cubes?
c. Or should I have just one cube with all order, delivery and billing information, loaded from three different consolidation DSOs?
For all of the above, how does delta changes impact the cube load? where should I use write optimzed DSOs?

In Simple steps
The flow is something like this:
1. A sales order is created in R/3 by 'va01'.
2. A check on credit limit is carried out by the system (if configured)
3. In case credit limit is exceeded by creation of this order then the same needs to be subjected to approval.
4. On approval, order picking and delivery document is created wrt to the order document - this is equivalent to selecting ordered material from warehouse and stocking in the loading bay of the warehouse - inventory of inished goods reduces at this point of time.
5. Subsequently a billing document is created - this step realises the fact that revenue is generated.
6. There is a concept of open orders - basically anything in the order document that is partially serviced ( due to non-availability of stocks ) -

Backup scenarios for plan data : DTP to be used ?

I have a planning cube to which i have a back up cube, which is a standard cube, and have a one to one transformation between both of them. My scenario is that i want to take a back up of the plan data into this standard cube. Initially i want to take 3 years of plan data and then i would take a weekly backup of the data.My requirement is that once i take a back up of the data, that particular data has to be deleted from the planning cube.

you can do the following.
1. backup the data using a transformation
2. write a planning function/sequence which sets all keyfigures of the backup-ed data to zero (in your planning cube).
3. Compress the planning cube.
If you use the variables in the filter in step 1 and 2 this should be safe. If you want this can even be executed in one process chain.

I am running windows XP and I know it is not possible to get realtime control but I want a as precise timing as possible. Above code is not perfect but it works 95% of times. But it doesn't work. There is no compilation and runtime error but the timing just not right. I wonder do I have to suspend the timer in the callback function when I reset the delay for next call? If I do so, I am worry if it will apply too much delay (since I suspend and resume the timer in the delay) so it will cause even worse timing. But if I don't suspend the timer before I reset the time, what happen if the code running in the callback function not finished before the next callback arrive. It is quite confusing how to use asynchronous timer in this case. Thanks.

Yeah, unfortunately the 6711 doesn't have clocked digital I/O. There are only two counters anyway so even if you could use them to generate your signals you wouldn't have enough (*maybe* something with the 4 AO channels and a counter depending on what your output signals need to look like? The AO channels can output "digital" as well if you write 0V or 5V only).
A PCI DAQ card which does support clocked digital I/O and has 2 analog outputs is the 6221 (or if you could use PCIe the 6321 is a more updated version with two extra counters and some additional functionality).
If there isn't a way to implement clocked outputs afterall, one thing you could do to make your code a little more efficient is to consolidate the writes. You can put your digital lines into a single task and write them at ocne, and you can put your analog channels into a single task and write them at once as well.
I'm not sure about the callback issue, you might find some more help in the CVI forum. I don't think it's going to solve your underlying problem though as ultimately the execution timing of your software calls is at the mercy of your OS.

Regarding planning data not available in reports

In my reports I'm populating actual data and planning data.But as of now we have only actual data display's in our report.what we are doing is we are populating data in BW and analysing on the base of the product cutomer (compounded) combination which is coming from r/3.(groups and sub-groups which we are entering at r/3 )
So our report shows us on the base of groups and sub groups which we are entering at r/3 level.That all is working fine but our customer wants that planning data is also displays in the reports as of now it is showing not assigned values in report.
so my question is ,To display planning data for group and sub groups provided by r/3 on the basis of product and customer (though other reports are showing planning data) , I know that I need to include this compounded infoobject in bps cubes but shall I also need to consider this in the BPS functions?I'm confused here and not sure about this.
And is that mandatory to have that componded infoobject mapped from underlying ods for customer.Because as of now planning cube is only updated with BPS functions?
Could you pls advice?

If the actuals and planning data are in seperate cubes then you will need to create a multi over both cubes to report on them together. However your BPS planning must be done against the same infoobject for you to be able to report on them together. If you are planning against the same IO the groupings from R3 will apply.
Also include the infoobject 0REQUID as a characteristic restriction and restrict it to variable 0S_RQMRC (Most Current Data)

    The current application triggered a termination with a short dump.
What happened?
    The current application program detected a situation which really
    should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
    triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
What can you do?
    Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
    To process the problem further, contact you SAP system

    Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
    at and manage termination messages, and you can also
    keep them for a long time.
