They can be in business logic for which the design and analysis part should be designed in a proper way to meet them. They can be related to queries, data loads or sometimes realted to business logic of the client.

  • KPI Calculation and using Exception

    Hi all,
    In my current project we have to calculate certain KPIs of my company and have to compare them with target value and put the result in Green or yellow or red zone using exception.
    EX:- KPI 1 = (# of associates having completed training)/(Total # of planned  associates to attend training)×100
    So here first I have to calculate KPI 1 and put the result % in KPI and then if you see below table as next step
                Target Value     KPI                    Color zone
    Pharma     10%      20%               Green
      America     20%             30%               Green
        US         50%      40%              Yellow
      Europe      30%      15%                      Red
         CH     40%         20%                  RED
         DE       50%             10%                  RED
    In above table we need to check the KPIs
    Green if KPI>Target value
    Yellow if KPI is + or - 10% of target value
    Red  if KPI is < 10% of Target value
    Now my question is how to calculate the KPI and target value difference, how to put them in Exception to get color zones display in report using above 3 conditions?

    to be more specific my requirement is as below.
    Please treat each as a column in bellow with respective values.
    Associates completed training,  Total no. of associates planned to take training, Ratio/KPI, Target value , difference
    20 , 30, 67% ( 20/30*100) , 80%, 13% (difference of Target value value and KPI/Ratio)
    we have to check below conditions and give coloring to KF ratio/KPI
    If ratio/kpi > target value
       ratio/KPI= Green
    elseif
       Target value - ratio/kpi <10%
       ratio/KPI = Yellow
    else
    ratio/KPI = RED (i.e, target value - ratio >10%)
    Now can you help me....

    We ant to know if somebody knows how to connect or the architecture os infrastructure to connect the Solution MAnager with the GRC.
    What we have to do is... If someone in the Solman does a user or role request, the SAP GRC gets this request and begins the necesary workflows.

    Hi,
    As per your requirement, you want that the request should be automatically trigerred from Solman to GRC.
    In GRC, CUP is used to provision the user and roles. The request can directly be created in CUP by a functionality known as HR triggers however this requires SAP_HR module which is not present in Solman.
    So it is not possible to create request directly from solman. User can login to CUP and then can create the request for his login.

  • While back up and restoring the business intelligence site collection in sharepoint 2010

    Hi,
    i am trying to take backup of business intelligence site collection from one sharepoint server and restoring it to the 2nd sharepoint server,backup and restore successfully completed.i have configured all the performance point services on new server also.
    but still i am getting below error:-
    An exception occurred while rendering a Web control. The following diagnostic information might help to determine the cause of this problem: Microsoft.PerformancePoint.Scorecards.BpmException: The filter no longer exists or you do not have permission
    to view it. PerformancePoint Services error code 20700.
    Can anybody suggest me how to resolve these error.

    I'm facing the same issue, actually restored a backup of the BI site collection into a different web app (on the same server) but get the same errors as you!
    Looking into it the connection to the report or filter (whatever artefact it is) needs to be refreshed so technically the report doesn't exist as far as the performance web part is concerned!
    However when I re-attached the web part to the filter or report I got a different error... 'This data source no longer exists'
    So basically I found I had to re-create the reports and filters etc in Dashboard Designer... to re-create the dashboards. I did one page and don't want to spend months re-doing them!
    Anyone come up with a way of preserving the web parts references to performance point items and the items connections to their data source in a restore of a site collection?

  • Functions and Permission in GRC AC10.0

    Hi All,
    We are creating the custom functions as a part of custom rule set creation in GRC AC10.0. We have defined the custom function as shown in the below example table(first table) . We uploaded the custome rule set with mass upload transaction and generated it. We noticed that the system is interpreting the values in the condition column differently than we mentioned in the upload files.
    Does any one has idea on this?  How the system evaluates the condition column?

    Thanks for the reply.
    my doubts got clarified after referring the below notes, but they are related GRC 5.3.
    I hope the same logic will apply to GRC 10.0 also. Please let me know if you have any additional information.

    Hello,
    is there documentation about the formulas and aggregation rules used in the OEE Report? Customers will only trust the KPIs in this report if they can verify them.

    How are the KPIs calculated?
    How are the KPIs aggregated, if a work center or resource type is selected instead of a single resource?
    Data & Variables
    Which data is used? Where do the variables used in the formulas come from? E.g. which tables and columns or which SQL SELECT statements are used?
    There is just very little information about the OEE Report in the online help or in the "SAP ME for Discrete Industries" document. And the MII "OEE Report Action", where obviously all the magic happens, is a black box.

    Is Saichand correct in assuming that you have SUM setup in the BMM layer? If so, follow Saichand's recommendation.
    If you are specifying the aggregation in the Answer Request itself, then try this.
    Let's say this is your situation:

    new_measnure2 = AVG(CASE WHEN CRITERIA in ('CRITIERA3','CRITIERA4') then MEASURE END
    NOTE: The syntax for the new_measure* may need to reference the saw naming convention, ie. saw0 = CRITIERIA, saw1 = DIMENSION, saw2 = MEASURE.
    That should work out for you.

    I have an app that logs the execution time of all DataWindow retrieves in a table. I can then run a report that tells me which ones are slow. The base DataWindow object captures the start time in the retrievestart event and the retrieveend event inserts a row into a table with the DataWindow name datetime and elapsed time. I use the QueryPerformanceCounter Win API function to get sub-second timing.
    Something like this:

  • Firefighter Logs storage location and size in GRC AC 5.3

    Hello Gurus,
    We are working on Firefighter configuration and are totally confused with following questions, appreciate if someone can show the light here :
    Where does the Firefighter logs stored - in backend or frontend or both? Can we check the size of existing Firefighter logs.
    Is there any mechanism to find out the approximate space requirement for Firefighter usage (based on number of firefighter id and number of transactions executed per day).

      The logs are stored in the backend SAP system. I have not seen any space requirement for FF. You can take a look at the sizing guide for AC 5.3 and you may find some useful information.

    I am new to this. I am trying to create a new dashboard in Oracle GRCI, but I got the following error message. The part I don't understand is that the error made reference to Fact - Test Plan table which I did not use in the statement. Could someone help?

  • SuPM - Data from SAP BW Query(Automatic) and Manual not displayed in KPI

    I am also, currently working on a project implementing BO SuPM Version 1.0. Landscape is ECC -> BI -> SuPM dashboards.
    I have created a KPI in SuPM dashboard.
    Case 1 : Automatic data collection - This KPI is marked for Automatic data collection. So, maintained Scripts with Connectivity and SAP BW Query name. I save this KPI and include in a new report and Run it. There are no records displayed.
    Case 2: Manual data collection - This KPI is marked for manual data collection. So, maintained values in SuPM portal itself. I save this KPI and include in a new report and Run it. There are no records displayed.
    Could you please help me how KPI in SuPM be filled manually and automatically ( from BW Query)?

    Dear Phani,
    First of All, you should have a framework created and assign the Core KPI to that framework and specify the frequency of the framework (Say Monthly) and Activate it.
    Upon Activation, if it is a Manual Data Collection, then you should perform Role Assignment ie specifyinfwho would be the Business Contributor & Approver for ur Manual KPI.
    After this, you have to run this program [/SRCORE/DATAREQUEST] in SE38 in the backend system which wil create a data request,
    Later you should login as Business Contributor and go to MY Data Requests and then provide the data for the Month specified. Then login as Approver and under Approvals option, you should Approve the data. Now, you should go to SuPM application and select that Month in the dimension and KPI and then RUN the Report.
    For Automated Data Collection, you should have to initially creata a Query (SAP/ BW) and specify the name of the query in SPRO--> Sustainability Performance Management --> Automated Data Collection --> Maintain Queries (SAP/ BW) -->  Specify that Query name and the Connector ID (SM59).
    Now go for KPI creation and specify the Query name in the KPI and then Assign the KPI to the framework and activate it.
    Upon Activation, You should RUN the program /SRCORE/AUTO_DATA_COLLECT. Now, select this KPI in the report and RUN the report.
    If you perform these actions, you will get the values in the report.
    It can be checked in the backend application, either by checking the Process chain[RSPC] or by checking the Infocube if the data is loaded into the Infocube or not.

    my undarstaning was GRC AC  5.3 will be available to enable user provision for all SAP JAVA Stack applications.
    I just heard that GRC AC 5.3 will not be able to manage user for WebShop CRM 2007.
    Is anybody aware of this limitation on the new version of GRC AC ?

  • How to install OLAP Intelligence and Test

    IN XIR2,  I want to work on OLAP Intelligence. I have uploaded the Key.
    Please advise me How to enable OLAP Intelligence and hwo to work.
    I have not found any OLAP Connection section in CMC.
    Developer sent a OLAP report, and uploaded to BO Environment. now it is showing connection filed..
    Please steps to fallow, enable the OLAP Intelligence in currently running BOXIR2 Env, and how to test whetehr OLAP is working or not.

    Hi,
    OLAP Intelligence does not manage its connections in the CMC. You can create an OLAP Intelligence connection by going to InfoView and clicking on the New menu. You should see two OLAP Intelligence related items. One called 'OLAP Intelligence Report' and another called 'OLAP Intelligence Connection'.
    In order to use OLAP Intelligence through InfoView you need to have your third party OLAP connectivity components installed in the same maching as the web application server that is hosting InfoView. To test which connectivity you have installed and set up correctly you can click on the 'OLAP Intelligence Connection' option under the New button described above. One the new connection page you should see a drop down list of available OLAP providers. You will always see connectivity options for Hyperion Essbase and IBM DB2 OLAP regardless of whether you have set this connectivity up. If you don't see a connection for Microsoft Analysis Services you will need to install the Analysis Services client connectivity on your web application server machine. If you don't see SAP BW connectivity you need to install something like the SAP GUI that will place librfc32.dll on the path and you will have to install the Business Objects SAP Integration kit.
    If you see your connectivity available, you can test whether you can reach the OLAP server by creating a connection. Use the same OLAP server pointed to by the report that you uploaded.
    If you are able to creat and test succesfully a connection, can you post what error message you were seeing when you tried to access the published file?
