KT4AV sound hang while playing pinball [win2k]

as topic,
My friend's KT4AV have problems with his winamp sound (mp3) while playing pinball in Win2000, do anyone has the similar problem? (anyone has the solution?)
thanks.

Sorry, I can't remember the spec until i have another look at it tomorrow...
But I did browse through winamp forum, get some idea it MAY be winamp's fault. (newer version get more bugs fixed, right?)
So, it's all TOMORROW cause I can't do anything right now

My iphone4s is hanging while playing games

Shut down all apps running in the background.  Double tap Home button to open the Multitasking Drawer, press and hold on any app icon, when they start to jiggle, tap the little x that appears in the upper corner of the app icons to close them.
Once you have closed all apps, restart your phone.  Hold down both the Home and Sleep/Power buttons at the same time and wait for the Apple icon to appear on your screen.  Once the logo appears release both buttons and wait for the phone to restart.  Try your game again.
Is is a specific game that hangs?  Or is it all of them?

  • Computer crashes and sound loops while playing a game

My problem is similar some others i have seen in this forum and others. I have been struggling with this issues since i made the computer.  The problem is while playing counter-strike after around 30 min to 2 hours the screen freezes and the sound loops and then the monitor turns off and the computer restarts.  I have made possible attempts to fix the problem starting with buying a thermal take volcana for my cpu and a artic cooler for my video card.  I also have my cpu underclocked  from a 3200 to a 2500 i found that helps delay the problem a bit(i think anyway).  I have 4 fans in my case also.  I also thought it might be the onboard sound so i bought a logitec usp headset but that didn't fix the problem so i recently bought a sound blaster live 5.1 ls. I have also switch powersupplys though both were around 350-400 watts.
Any help or feedback it greatly appreciated.
    my specs are:
    MSI 9800 pro
    K7N2 Delta-L
    Athlon 3200+(underclocked to 2500)
    Soundblaster Live 5.1 ls
1 stick of 512 mb Ultra
350 watts not sure of the company came with the X-Dreamer II case
    hp cd-burner
Thanks for taking your time to read this any help/suggestions would be great

What are the max amps on 3 rails of your PSU what slot is your sound card in? Can you list your IRQ's? Run Memtest

  • Sound delay while playing video in iTunes.

    Dear community,
When playing video in iTunes the sound is increasingly delaying and after approximately 10 seconds it becomes almost impossible to watch the video. When you move to the other part of the video, the sound is back to normal for a short time and then becomes delayed again.
When video is playing, it is possible to hear that sound is not smooth, but has very minor breaks. The video is downloaded to the computer. I opened this video with Windows Media Player and QuickTime and it works good, but, unfortunately, it does not work correctly while playing in iTunes player.
I experience this problem on Windows 7 32-bit.
    Please, help with this problem.
    Sincerely,
    Roma

    Solved.
    Found this great solution:

This is what worked for me for Windows 7 — Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Manage Audio Devices > >>> Right click on your Speakers and Headphones and go to Properties > Advanced
Now… bring the quality of your sound down – I changed mine from 24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality) TO 24 bit, 44100 Hz (Studio Quality) — it works like a charm for me now! Hope this helps.

And another one, but not tested:

I am one of many that had the synch problem. I say HAD because I finally found a fix or possibly an incorrect setting in BIOS. I noticed one of the sound settings in Bios was set to HD.
I had the option to change to AC97. saved the Bios and rebooted……hooray problem solved. I also noticed that unlocking cores made the symptom even worse. All is running very well with all cores unlocked and 24bit 192000Hz set on the sound card.
for information I have a ASUS M4N68T-M V2 motherboard and
    Xonar DS sound card
    Hope this helps.

  • Sound stops while playing music with iTunes Match

While playing music from iTunes Match, the sound stops.  The music continues to play but there is no sound.  If I double click the song, the sound will start again.  But after that song is finished and it advances to the next song.  The sound will stop again and I have to double click the song again.  Other sounds on my MB-Air will still work.  Anyone else having this issue? Thanks

It happens to me too. I listen the most on my iPhone. Song is playing, but no sound. Sometimes I have to close the app and relaunch to recover. Very annoying.

  • MSI Gx633 Hanging while playing game.

    Good Day,
I would like to ask whether there are fellow gx633 users who are experiencing the same thing and what steps have you taken?
i bought this gx633 last October and had problem since then. The whole laptop would hang after playing the game for some time with the timing before it hangs varying between 15minutes to 4hours.
incidentally, the laptop seems to run at 100% CPU once the game is initiated with the process taking up the cpu% alternating randomly.
i have run a scan using Malwarebyte antivirus and it showed no infected file. i have also tried updating the gfx driver, getting a strong fan/ laptop cooler for the laptop and all does not seem to work.
i have pretty much given up on sending the laptop for checking because i had it sent at least 5 times and they always told me that there are no issues discovered. at the 5th time, they decided to replace the gx633 with another gx633 and this is the one i am using now with the same aforementioned problems.
the worst thing is i cant seem to see the problem because i use speedfan sometimes to see the temperature and it hardly goes beyond 80 degrees. usually hovers around 76. and it sometimes hang right after the temperature check.
other observations include that of clicking or buzzing sound on the speakers when moving the mouse or cursor across the page and that the laptop cooler would start running once i on the AC power before even booting up the com.
i am writing this as a last resort as i may soon discard this laptop which seems to be the most waste of money that i had ever spent. (after getting this laptop which was a replacement for the previous one and getting the same problem, i called up local msi and they told me that they would forward the matter to hq and get back to me when there is a resolution. - this was back in december last year. perhaps you see why i am already on the verge of giving up)
on  a side note, i was playing cabal online which is hardly a demanding game and i doubt the gx633 can do justice to the title "gaming laptop" if it can not even play this game.
if you have any input, kindly advise me on the matter. thank you.

Hi. Thank you for youre reply.
I was running on Windows Vista home premium 32bit and i updated all the drivers given in the msi website.
I did not use the turbo mode at all during the crashes.
A little update, i sent it back to msi to have a look and they said that it was probably due to a faulty mainboard so they replaced it.
they also suggested to reinstal the OS so i decided to purchase a Window7 Home premium and did a custom instalation since they said that the faulty mainboard could have corrupted the OS.
the result is that after instaling the Windows7 Home Premium 32bits and updating all the drivers for Window7 from the msi website, i ran the game again and this time it hangs in under one hour. ( not sure of exact timing because i left the game running and went to do some work on my other laptop)
from the other threads it seems to point towards the gpu but when i sent it in they said that they did a stress test so i am not sure now what i should do. i am thinking of sending it in tomorrow to have them run a final check but i really wonder what caused this because it seems that the gx630 623 and even 7 series are running into this issue of black screen during gaming.
thank you for you kind attention.

  • Sound drops while playing DVD

Hopefully I can describe this issue accurately enough for some assistance.
My MacMini is connected to a TV via DVI and a 3.5 audio connection. Recently, when watching DVDs through Front Row, I have been noticing audio dropout during loud scenes in movies. The sound does not go out totally it just reduces, almost like it looses stereo, then jumps back up to normal volume when the scene background noise decreases or stops.
I've also noticed that sometimes the sound is not perfectly synched with the video image, this is rare though and is so slight you can barley notice sometimes.
Any idea why this might be happening? Is there anything I can do with my system configuration to help this?

I'm sorry no-one has been able to help you. I'd say that was rare, but looking back at some of the other threads you've started I can see why you might conclude that Apple Discussions isn't much help!
While I can't help you directly because this is not a problem that is familiar to me, I use a Mac mini (older G4 model) to play TV content (Real media files) on a TV, and Front Row to access and play a ripped DVD library. I don't experience either sound dropout or audio-sync issues you describe, but it does make me wonder what type of files you're playing, and how (without going into details since discussion of ripping methodologies isn't allowed here) the DVD content is put on your system for replay. In other words, my first suspicion would be whether something in the ripping process is causing these problems.
Given that I can't offer a similar experience I realize this isn't all that helpful, but perhaps that might get the ball rolling - with luck!

  • Sound dropouts while playing wav in timeline

    Hi,
since today there is aproblem with Audition 3 on a Lenovo T500 Laptop.
It is used for sound recordings, done via an external USB soundcard (Virtual 7.1 USB Audio Adapter, StarTech). Everything was going fine untill today: When you now play a wav file in the timeline, you will hear a cracking or dropout about every 20 seconds, although the soundfile is not damaged. If you play the same file e.g. in audia. These things I have tried to solve the problem:
    - set the waveform cache from 32 MB to 100MB
    - defrag the HD
    - update V3.0 to 3.1
can somebody help me or can report about similar problems?
    Greets & thx
    Kammi

uninstalling AA3 and reinstall was the solution.

  • Sound loss while playing movie on iTunes

Whenever I try to play a movie like Epic or Frozen.  Sound is lost after about 20 minutes during the movie.  I tried using programs to clear things up, put it does not help.  Any advise?

    Hi krondor2000,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you intermittently lose sound when watching movies from the iTunes Store, I recommend the troubleshooting steps in these articles:

  • Video hangs while playing but audio still keeps pl...

capturing a video works fine in my nokia c6-00. .but wen i play the captured video the video hangs for some minutes but the audio keeps on playing.  i am saving the videos on mass storage 8gb sd with 5gb free space. software version m using is 40.

This is possibly a networking problem.   If the Apple TV and router lose connection, or the speed is too slow, it stops loading, or buffers.
Test your internet speed several times to see if it drops or is just too slow.
Update you Apple TV if needed.
    Refresh connections

  • IPad Mini Games hang while playing

This is not a question this is a fact. I have purchased recent games like: Deus Ex, Indigo Lake, The Woods.
They all hang on my iPad mini. I Sometime I manage to play for 30 seconds to 5 minutes before the game hang.
I have rebooted the iPad mini but got same result.
I think iTunes should test the game on iPad mini before allowing it on the app store what do you think?

Hard reboot... Hold home and power buttons until you see apple logo

  • Apple TV hangs while playing music

I have 3 Apple TVs (ATV), all connected via wired ethernet to the home modem/router. One is an older model ATV (with internal disk), let's call this ATV1. Another is a first generation new ATV (the 720p model), let's call this ATV2. The 3rd is a recent model ATV (purchased June 2012), call this ATV3. The problem relates to ATV3.
I have home sharing turned ON from my home Mac Pro, which holds the main iTunes library. Normally, ATV2 and ATV3 can see the iTunes library and can play music and videos off of it, simultaneously, no problem. So there seems to be nothing wrong with the network or with the home sharing or the library.
However, ATV3 will occasionally "hang", by which I mean that it will suddenly 1) stop playing the music that it was playing and 2) will become "invisible" on the network (as seen from my "remote" app on my iphone which normally can "see" both ATV2 and ATV3, but which suddenly sees only ATV2 when ATV3 stops playing).
If I turn off and then on the ATV3, it will show up again under the remote app on the iphone, I can play music on it off the library, and all's well until it happens again. This happens intermittently. Sometimes after an hour of playing, sometimes after 5 minutes. It happens irrespective of whether the other ATVs in the house are playing music/video or not. The frequency of the failure seems to increase when ATV2 is being used.
I should mention that ATV3 is the most recent one to join the home network.
I should also add that previously, when I had only ATV1 and ATV2, I would find that ATV2 will sometimes "hang", but only very rarely, like every few weeks, upon which I would reset it and just blame it on a soft error somewhere.
    Help!

Strangely enough, I exchanged the ATV2 and ATV3 and now both work fine. I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that (previously) the ATV3 (1080p) was behind an ethernet hub. Somehow the ATV2 (720p) does not mind being behind the hub. Either that or iTunes suddenly became smarter since the exchange . Anyway, it works now so I'm not touching it. Thanks for the suggestion.
