well i have done everything i can think of new ps bare bone sys. new memory,new cables bios ver 1.7 checked heat sink thermale grease runs fine at 100 wont even boot at 133, ithink msi should have paid more attention to their mobo instead of all the cool soft ware so know i m :O compusa wont take the mobo back and msi told me to take back to retailer what to do whaat to do?

Hi, I'm using the version that came on the CD - 6.0
Here is what I have done so far:
1. Run the install disk
2. Activated the serial number - you can see that on my account
3. Installed the software.
I tried to run it, but when I do I get the follwoing message
4. I then tried to run the Adobe Application Manager and it crashed, here is a screen shot
5. I clicked the reopen button and it starts.
6. I downloaded the update, but it still wont run.
7. When I finally get the Application Manager to run again I get this message.
8. Then I retsarted my laptop.
8. I uninstalled the software, reinstalled it, did the updates again, restarted it and it still won't work.

New battery still wont run

Just was given a Macbook by a friend. Macbook runs FINE when plugged in, but will not run with battery. Most obvious thought in MY mind was battery. Purchased brand new apple battery and installed and it STILL wont run on battery power . Tried that reset thing( removing battery and holding on button down 5 secs) that was posted and still no results. WHAT GIVES?

by the way, replacing the motherboard cost about $55 if u do it yourself, which i would rather buy a new one if thats the case.

Disabling the computer's security software (firewall and antivirus) usually resolves that error.

Itunes still wont open! I've tried everything.

I have downloaded and installed the new itunes which just wont open. It comes up with the hourglass... then nothing (if I go to my task manager it says itunes is running.. it definitely isnt!). I have tried uninstalling itunes, installing standalone quicktime then redownloading itunes and it still wont open. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Uninstall iTunes. It's borked. Uninstall ewido. It's also borked.
Download, install and update Spybot Search & Destroy, then run it. Set it to run on next boot, as well.
You might also want to check your computer for rootkits.
Are you sure that your system meets the minimum system requirements cited below?

Oracle 8.1.7 on RH7.0 Installed fine now wont run at all!

I was able to install Oracle 8.1.7 on RH 7.0 using this fix... http://ftp.valinux.com/pub/support/hjl/glibc/sdk/2.1/README.Oracle8i
The database initialized correctly and I was able to setup and connect to the database. I even ran a port scanner and checked memmory...the thing was running! Then after the reboot the database wont run at all. When I type ./oracle it trys to load and then shows "Segmentation fault (core dumped)". When I try ./oracle start nothing is echoed. I tried to copy the lib files

libpthread.so
to the $ORACLE_HOME/lib/ dir and followed John Smiley's howto but the relink script doesn't work! Even still I think something else is wrong other than the library. Can someone help?

Assuming Allan's advice is not correct, and you do run the installer, I think I've heard of that problem and it involves removing the old Flash plug-ins, then install the new version. I don't use it so I don't know what they are called, but will be the /Library/Internet Plug-ins folder.
You can go here and enable HTML5 in YouTube so you don't have to use Flash: http://www.youtube.com/html5
Most(?) of the content is HTML5, but you may run into videos where you still need Flash.

I downloaded Quicktime but iTunes still wont open

I accidentally removed Quicktime from my programs list because I didn't know that I needed it to run iTunes. so I went online and downloaded it and iTunes still wont open. Saying that: "Quicktime was not found!" and "Please reinstall iTunes" so I re-downloaded iTunes and I'm still getting the same message.
How do I get QuickTime back on my programs list?
Is re-downloading QuickTime a wast of time?
What am I doing wrong?
I can sit here and download it all day its not going to change anything?

If you just deleted QT from C:\Program Files you may be able to restore it from the Recycle Bin. If you used the add/remove control panel, you probably want to use it again. And then download a new iTunes QT installer

Java wont run at all on safari.

I have an issue, on my home computer java runs seamlessly in safari for windows, but here at my office, it just wont run, i downloaded the Sun JRE and installed with Admin priveleges, althought Safari 4 Win includes Apple JRE anyways, it is enabled in my preferences, but whenever i try to use the file manager in Webmin, or any other java applet on the web it just says "Java is Unavailable (SITE) tried to load java content but java is not installed or unavailable, would you like go to a page where you can download java?" and I did it again thinking maybe it required an earlier version, but still nothing. any help anyone can offer me i would be greatly appreciated

I wasn't sure if this thread had already been closed or not, but if its still open, I'd like to chime in with some comments of my own, as well.
I too have been experiencing very similar issues with my edition of Safari for Windows. I am running Windows Vista Basic, and my version of Safari is 4.0.4.
I followed the instructions you gave to the person who started this thread, and after restarting Safari, I am still receiving the same error I was receiving before. Here is what the error says:

Well, I know for a fact that I have Java installed on this machine, and it has been enabled for use with Safari.
Here is the version of Java which I have presently installed on my machine. Aside from v. 17, I also have versions 1-7, which all show enabled as well.

New itunes wont run in windows 7 64 bit even after full uninstall and reinstall

after the new itunes 2.2 came out i have been unable to get it to open or run i have fully uninstalled all elements and reinstalled and still it wont run

I'd like to see that screen if possible, stew. Could you take a screenshot of that permission message screen (Hold down Alt and press the PrtSc key), paste it into a Paint document (or similar image editor), and save the file. Then reply here, click the wee camera icon, do a Choose file, browse to the file, click "Open file", then click "Insert Image".

I got an old game set up for system 7.5 and my 10.6.8 wont run it. Is there a download of the older systems that would allow me to play this game?

Any ideas on how to get this old game working on the newer model computer? The message I get is that it wont run it "because Classic environment is no longer supported".

You could look into Sheepshaver which supports older OS versions but I hear can be very tricky to install. you may also find that a game will not work on it because games often want to control the hardware directly and an OS7 game will have absolutely no idea how to run your computer. Frequently it is recommended you just buy an old Mac capable of running OS7.
Even if you had a Classic-capable computer it is still quite possible it would not run an OS7 game. I found many of my OS7 games stopped working even when I ran a computer actually booted to OS9.
Which game is this? Some old favorites are being re-released for OSX, e.g. Solarian.

and is named. (one or more of these)
com.apple.iDVD.plist
com.apple.iDVDApp.plist (may be ? - not sure this exist)
and find
com.apple.iApps.plist
While iDVD is NOT RUNNING - move this/these file/s out on to desk-top.
Now restart iDVD.
If You run Mac OS X.7 or more - then the Library in the User-account folder is invisibly and need to be set to be viewable. IT IS NOT in the Library on Root level (when opening MacintoshHD - first window = root level)
( It can be done like this: Open Terminal, then enter: chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press return, then restart, and it will always be visible until the next major update, when you do the same thing again. )
But there are better ways to do this - but as I'm only in Mac OS X.6.? - I have no hand on know how - but the above way works if carefully done.

OS X 10.9 wont run on my MacBook either?

My MacBook can't run 10.8 (of course with some hacks it can), but my default it wont run 10.9 either, right? Now I am using Snow Leopard and it's possible that it wont recieve security updates soon.
Then I only have Lion left and I'll be stuck with it?

I have no idea, but based on history:
Tiger was originally released on 4/29/2005, and received its last security update on 09/10/2009 (~4 years and 4 months; Source: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4218)
Leopard was originally released on 10/26/2007, and received its last security update on 5/14/2012 (~4 years and 6 months; Source: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1222)
Lion was originally released in July 2011, which implies you should be good until around 2016 or so, but again you never know. It is yet to be seen what the change to a yearly release schedule for OS X will do to Apple's obsolescence schedule in a few years. That is, if OS X even still exists in a few years.
