Kudos to this web site
I want thank everybody on this web site. I want to comment on the speed of which my questions were answered, which is very fast!!! I have gone to other sites and you have to wait for days to get an answer and this one it is just ZIP and you have. Also I want to say to the people who answered my question were well informed on the subject I was asking and that mean a lot to me.
Keep up the good work
Capt Marvy
Those are kind words, and always appreciated.
With but a few rare exceptions, we are all just regular subscribers, who drop by to try and help others. When we can, that is always positive to hear about.
Now, sometimes questions and problems might not get addressed as quickly, but that just depends on who is around, and how well they think they can help. I, for instance, do not reply in many Mac-centric threads, as I do not know that platform. Same for some of the PS-Extended questions, as i am just beginning to use that, and for the Video functions, use PrPro almost exclusively. Hence, if it isn't a general Video in PS-Extended question, I just pass it by, and let others jump in.
Good luck, and glad that your experiences have been positive. Adobe has recently heavily committed itself to greater support in the forums, so they will be glad too.

Hi all, I installed microsoft sharepoint designer 2010. It was working perfectly up until yesterday when I create a new site, it gave me an error that said " This web site must be created on a server that is running Microsoft Sharepoint Foundation.
Please choose another Location " Now I can't create any sharepoint site and it freaks me out. I tried repairing, unistalling and reinstalling but still i get the same message. You have to have SharePoint 2010, either SharePoint Foundation 2010 or SharePoint Server 2010, installed somewhere in order to be able to create SharePoint sites with SharePoint Designer 2010. SharePoint Designer 2010 is a client-side product, which is usually
installed on end user machines and then used to connect to a server-side edition of SharePoint 2010 (either of the two I mentioned above) to modify the SharePoint sites hosted on that server-side product.
It is possible to install SharePoint Foundation 2010 on a client operating system (Windows 7), but it is much more likely that a production environment will involve installing SharePoint Foundation 2010 or SharePoint Server 2010 on a server operating system
(Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2) on a central server that can be accessed by multiple users.
If you are looking to do testing, you can either install Foundation on Windows 7, or use a virtualization product such as Hyper-V, VMware Workstation, Virtual Box, to name a few, to build a virtual server hosting SharePoint.
You aren't going to be able to create SharePoint sites with SPD until you have SharePoint Foundation 2010 or SharePoint Server 2010 somewhere for it to connect to, sorry.

Hi,
I am trying to create a new sub site. Everytime I try to create the site I get this error:
the file you are attempting to save or retrieved has been blocked from this web site by server administrator
This applies to almost all site templates except the "blank site" template. I am logged in as System Administrator.Issue resolved!
Don't know how but somehow, xml was added to the Blocked file types. Removing the entry did the trick. -

SafderHi safder husain ,
For troubleshooting, please take steps as below:
Take a quick look in Central Administration. If the Content Database has been taken "offline" then it will halt any database editing (typically used for maintenance such as backing up / restoring or major
farm config).
Check SQL .This can also happen if the Transaction Logs are full .. or you've run out of disk space.
Check if you have set a Site Collection Quota ... if the site collection exceeds the "quota" size then adding new content will be restricted.Go to Central Administration -> Application Management ->
Configure Quotas and Locks. Set the Site Lock Information to "Not Lock" (it had been set to " Read-only (blocks additions, updates, and deletions)”).
Please inform me freely if you have any questions.
Thanks

Why is the text so small on this web site???
Why is the message text so small on this web
site?? It is almost impossible to read!!
The navigation text is tiny as well, I cant
read a word of the navigation bar at the top
of this page.
If this is produced using Netweaver, I am
very concerned.
Come on SAP, this needs addressing. On my computer it is OK, but I have seen this on other machines too. But this surely is not connected to NetWeaver, as you surely knew
I'll forward this to SDN personell.

Today, when I tried to open web sites in Firefox from my Bookmarks, I could not. I continually received the following error message: This web site does not supply identity information.
I noticed that when I put the cursor on the box to the left of the address, that message appears. There is also '''no''' https:// before the address.
Can anyone help correct this problem? I believe sometime last week I may have fiddled with the Secutity settings in the Tools/Security option box and may have screwed up something trying not to have sites use cookies to track me?
Thanks,

I cannot get firefox to open. I have tried closing it using task manager. This web site is useless for getting help. I will be deleting this browser and going back to Chrome. It works.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

I am not able to login to my facebook account and error message reads "This web site does not supply ownership information." Please help
only title bar opens and nothing else....please helpNormally, when you connect via http, the browser doesn't check for site identity, so I don't understand what's happening there.
Do you have any security-related add-ons that force popular sites to use a secure connection, or claim to provide anonymous browsing?
Were you making the connection on your own network or on a public network (e.g., school, coffee shop)? If it was a public network, maybe the error indicates that your traffic was being intercepted???
Without hands on, this is a tough one to diagnose. -

Hi, problem occurs when I'm clicking a button or a new url on the current site. For instance, when i clicked that "Ask This" button on this web site, It redirects me to the default homepage. I cant go back and I'm losing the previous web site HELP PLEASE!
Try the Firefox SafeMode. <br />
''A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.'' <br />
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)''
# You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode by holding the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
# Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running. <br />
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.''
If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

Dear all,
When I open web intelligence with BI launchpad, this warning has been shown:
"The web site is requesting access and control of the Java application shown above. Allow access only if you trust the web site and know that the application is intended to run on this site.
Allow access to the following application from this web site?"
and it has just three button of "Yes", "No" and "Help".
I go to Java Control Panel and Security tab, then set security level on the "Medium" and add my site in the Exception Site List but this warning is shown each time I open web intelligence.
I have searched the internet very much but I haven't found any solutions for disabling of it. How can I disable this security warning?
