How do I copy a color theme from Kuler and paste it to a word document?

Unless there is something unusual about the table, it should copy in by selecting in Pages, selecting Copy, moving to Keynote, tapping, seelcing paste.
If the table structure is copying in, but you can't see the text (is that what is happening?), you might try selecting ghe table and changing the text color using the formatting tool.

CS1 and CS2 InDesign file type problems and Tiger

Dual 2.7GHrz G5, 2GB RAM, OSX 10.4.5
Previously, InDesign 3 (CS1 version) was installed on this Mac. I needed to install the full CS2 package. Everything installed just fine. The problem I am having is the file type associations. The Mac now sees CS1 InDesign files as Indesign CS2 files. I got info on a file I knew to have been created and saved in InDesign CS1. I changed the "open with:" to InDesign CS and it worked until I hit "Change all". It then reverts back to a CS2 file type. On other sites I found some different things to try like rebuilding or deleting the LaunchServices pref files, checking to see if their was a CFBundleIdentifier, etc. Anyway, what I seem to have found is that Tiger gets confused when the Type and Creator are the same in the info.plist files. Panther, however, does not seem to have this same problem. We have 10+ other G5's of similar hardware specs as the one listed above, running Panther 10.3.9, have CS1 and CS2 installed, and we are not having the same file type problems.
As a test, I modified the CFBundleIdentifier to be different than the one found in the CS1 info.plist, and it let me "change all" the CS1 files to CS1. Of course, CS2 files could not be associated with CS2 now.
Is there a fix for this? Or, is there a patch being worked on that will fix this problem? We really need to keep both versions of the software installed, and I don't want to have to rely on users making the decision about what version they are working in.

If Get Info shows both app versions (& it should) as "Open with:" choices, you can at least still set individual docs to open with the preferred version. Instead of having to open Get Info windows, you can do the same thing a bit more easily with the contextual menu that pops up when you right (or CMD) click & hold on a Finder document icon.
Normally, the "Open with >" choice in this menu is a one time thing, but if you hold down the option key, it changes to "Always Open With >" & makes the new app choice permanent as it opens the doc, all in one step.

My new Canon MarkIII and CS2 are not compatible...

Hi - I wish I could go into a camera shop or an Apple shop to get this sorted. But there are none where I live so I hope someone can help me. I have a legal version of CS2 and use a G5 mac. I'm a professional photographer and I want only to open my RAW pix in PS without converting via Digital Photo Professional or anything else. I never have my G5 hooked up to the internet and therefore have not imported latest versions of anything. I have tried an illegal CS3 and that cannot open my RAW files either so I am loathe to buy a legal version if it does not solve my problem. While I know both my camera and CS2 back to front I am not a computer geek. I have had a look through the forums but cannot find any answers. Chao and thanks. H

Adobe doesn't offer "forever" support for new cameras, except for offering an ongoing update for their DNG converter. So, to get your canon raw files to open with CS2 you need to download the most recent version of ACR+DNG. See:

I cannot help too much, being more familiar with Windows, but the DNG converter does not need to be installed - it just simply works by pointing it at a folder of raw files.
The version of CS3 you tried probably didn't install with the most recent version of ACR, which is why it didn't work with your Canon files. ACR v4 is much improved over v3 - you might consider CS3. Another option, for approximately the same price of upgrading to CS3, is Lightroom (v2 in beta test). It offers a slightly different approach to digital photography that includes a library (i.e., database approach as opposed to Bridge's "browser" approach).

NodeBox mashup with Kuler and Flickr

Hi all, I recently came across NodeBox, a generative art tool
for Macs... They have a number of great functions already in the
tool, and a very impressive set of 3rd party libraries, Kuler and
Flickr included... so in a very lines of code I was able to create
compositions like this one:

Adobe does not provide upgrades for CS2 applications, nor a special introductory offer for Creative Cloud Membership, unless you have at least CS3.
If you also use Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or at least two other Adobe CC applications, you'd get an Adobe Creative Cloud Membership, which will cost U$49.99 a month. .
Alternatively if you only use Adobe Illustrator, you can get a single-app plan for U$19.99 a month.
Both those prices are based on you locking in for an anual plan.

Will quark 6 and cs2 work on snow leopard

Want to update to 10.6.8. Will my old Quark 6 and CS2 still work?

CS2 was working in 10.6.8 but now crashes hard (especially Indesign/Illustrator) as of latest updates. Can't reinstall it either. A wonder it had worked as long as it did. Had migrated CS2 from an older imac to a newer imac last year.
I had purchased Photoshop Elements 8 right about the time Elements 9 came out, and soon after received a Great Deal offer via email to purchase a full version of Photoshop CS5 for about half price. I jumped on it; also received free upgrade to 5.5.
Since Photoshop was all I was using anyway, worked out perfect.

Leopard: Office and CS2 Flawless

I loaded Leopard last night with an erase and install because my system never really seemed to run as fast as I expected. Especially, when the systems at work are faster and have slower CPU’s and 2 less gigs of RAM. But I have 2 HD’s and I moved all my files to the slave drive. Installed the OS and then loaded MS Office 04 and Adobe CS2. Went ahead an added all updates to both applications and they run smoothly. I am currently building a catalog in CS2 and it runs flawless. My system is quite faster, but I think that is attributed to never re-installing Tiger in the past for optimization. So for those who wonder, “YES” Office and CS2 run fine in Leopard. Leopard is solid, great job Apple.

CS and CS2 Metadata Preferences are dropped intermittently

I work for a forensic laboratory and my section uses Photoshop CS and CS2 on WindowsXP. While working with images for comparative analysis any enhancements or changes to the image must be documented. We set the Preferences to record a "detailed" history log in the metadata for the image.
We have found that sometimes these Preferences are dropped for some reason and the Metadata History Log is not set. Is this a common problem and is there a fix?

CS3 and CS2

I was searching forum and read that it may be an issue with installing CS3 and CS2 on the same computer. Can someone confirm this for me as true.

Never had any problem at all, although (disclaimingly yours) YMMV.
I should mention that my experiences are based on chronologically installing CS, CS2, and CS3,
i in that order.
(It might be important -- perhaps someone with lots of free time can experiment with different install orders.)
As the file extension for all three versions is the same (".indd"), Windows cannot link files made with different versions to their original creators, and using the Explorer, the latest installed version will lways open. However, each separate program can be started manually, and can open its own documents and older ones w/o any problem at all.

Kuler and Flash releases

Our web design lecturers like kuler. Our web deisgn students
like kuler. I like kuler.
BUT we all get annoyed when kuler stops working because the
Flash release is a few minor releases out of date (10.0.12 instead
of 10.0.22) - it is non-trivial to upgrade 120+ to the new Flash
player every couple of months.
So could kuler be made backward compatible with a few
previous Flash releases at least.

I know this topic has been discussed here before. I read them all but the issue still persists.
This happens only on my Mac (OSX 10.5.8), and not on my Win XP install. It have CS4 and CS5 installed, and either one does not connect to Kuler or to CS Live. I already edited the file AdobeOnlineHelp.plis as explained here:

Maybe there's some new information out there that I have yet to come across. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I love Kuler and use both on AI and PS.

How can I stop CS and CS2 from immediately closing on Vista

I have been using my CS and CS2 Photoshop versions, that I originally used on 2 Windows XP computers, on Vista for one year.
When I installed CS2 on my 2 Vista computers a funny glitch would appear, a registration pop up would always appear
I could just click on the register later button and the pop up would go away and I could use CS2 with no problems
All of a sudden in the last month or 2 they CS2 closes right after I get rid of the registration pop up
Now I cannot use either of my Photoshop CS
I have tried registering CS2 when the window appears and the program closes when I hit enter
CS just loads and then closes right after that
I had them on older computers using XP and I can't remember if I deactivated my 2 licenses.
The only program I can get to work is Photoshop 7 (probably because it predates activation protocols)
Can someone help me with this recent problem I would much appreciate it

Since you can't remember if you deactivated and the programs are closing it would be safe to say you did not deactivate.
Registration and activation are two different processes.
