Kuler Photoshop CC

  • Explore function in Photoshop, not in Illustrator

I am having problems with the Kuler palette in Illustrator CC 2014.
I am signed in, but can't see my favourite palettes. This is the same problem that others at this forum have. Tried signing in and out of Illustrator and CC. Restarting. Verdana enabled.
I then looked in Photoshop and there everything works and even more: you can explore uploaded palettes in the Kuler Photoshop window itself.
And I looked in Illustrator CC (so not the 2014 version) and it works there too (not with the explore possibility as in Photoshop, but still…)!
So first question: why can't you do that in Illustrator?
Second question: what can I do to get Kuler working in CC 2014?
    Thanks,

  • How do I get the Apps onto one Ipad only for Creative Cloud??

We've downloaded onto 2 imacs Creative Cloud Software and there are not problems at this stage.
How do I get the Apps onto one Ipad only for Creative Cloud??
    regards
    Rod

This was part of the original thread you responded too but I have branched out your discussion to make it more specific.  This is already discussed under the Touch Apps FAQ - http://www.adobe.com/products/touchapps/faq.html.  Here is the relevant excerpt:
Customers who sign up for an annual membership to Creative Cloud or who buy a 12-month prepaid card at a retailer or online store will be eligible for a free month of Creative Cloud when they purchase and sign in from three qualifying Adobe Touch Apps from Google Play or the Apple App Store. This includes Adobe Collage, Adobe Debut, Adobe Ideas, Adobe Kuler, Photoshop Touch, and Adobe Proto.
Customers who purchase an annual membership directly from Adobe and qualify for this offer will not be charged for the month of service following sign-in from their third Adobe Touch App.
Customers who purchase a 12-month prepaid card from a retailer or online store and qualify for this offer will have one month added to the duration of their membership.
Creative Cloud members will be notified about their free month within 60 days of signing in to their third qualifying Adobe Touch App

  • This is DW CS6

    Hi All
Want to know what is actually in DW CS6?
Then I would suggest that you go over to Adobe TV, as a number of new videos are available that covers the new features, (not just Dw, but Fw, Ps, etc). I would recommend starting with - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/cs6-creative-cloud-feature-tour-for-web/introduction-to-dreamwea ver-cs6/

Yes, that's exactly what they're saying. Subscription to the Creative Cloud brings a slew of extra benefits, including updates to programs when they become available. For example, if changes are made to the new Fluid Grid Layouts in Dreamweaver CS6, they'll become available to Creative Cloud subscribers as soon as Adobe considers the updated version stable. If you own CS6 on a perpetual licence, you'll have to wait until CS7 is released.
The reason for treating customers differently lies in an obscure US regulation known as "revenue recognition", which says you can't provide new features to customers without charging them for it. I'm told that it's part of the SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) regulations, which were drawn up after the Enron scandal. Because Creative Cloud is charged on a monthly basis, new features can be released immediately. So, subscribers definitely should see some real benefit. The downside to subscription is that once you stop paying, you can no longer use the software. Deciding which to go for isn't a straightforward choice.
See my only problem with that David is that Adobe historically has not been known as an organization to push out releases on a regular basis.  I remember updating from one version of Dreamweaver to fix a bug in the color picker on the Mac.  Or look at the PhoneGap which had an update released recently and pulled, a issue in CS5.5 that is not fixed during the product cycle.  And there is no additional support for going to a monthly subscription either.  Last time I even heard about support was the open letter from VP Lambert Walsh, has anything changed since then?  Then you look at the Lifehacker article adding up (for Photoshop) the cost savings of buying over the Cloud ( http://lifehacker.com/5904416/rent-vs-buy-is-adobes-creative-cloud-subscription-cheaper-th an-buying-photoshop ).
Then there was the CNET review with all the features with Scott Morris from Adobe, but suprisingly a lot of that is not in the Cloud at the release, diminishing its value.
    Missing Features include:
    Lightroom
    Kuler
    Photoshop Touch
    Collage
    Proto
    Debut
    Ideas
So basically Lightroom and all the tablet apps are gone.  The only app I am sorry to not see in the traditional suite is Edge.  To be honest I think the only thing that could convince me to buy the Cloud at this point is a published Roadmap or some sort of published log when new features/fixes are released to the Cloud to give me more confidence that my money is going to more development.  Sort of in the same way they would release a patch currently, just more frequently.  And then there is the issue of what are we really supporting.  I don't use the video apps, so why would I want to contribute to their development.  Same thing goes for Muse.  How many DW users really want their money going to development for that, but Adobe right now may see that as needing resources and development over other programs.  You could argue that for the current bundles but I have only been using the Design Premium which has no Cloud equivalent.
Sorry for being such a skeptic here.  I do see the benefit for the updates, I just question the execution right now by a seemingly disorganized Adobe marketing department who leaked it terribly to begin with.

  • The Kuler panel not available in Adobe Photoshop CS6 french language pack ????

    Hello !
Why the Kuler panel is not available in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator CS6 french language ???? it's ok when I make an Int. US language install ! can I find the kuler.atn somewhere?
Only the Mini Bridge appears in the extention panel....
    thanx for your help !

and I suppose it's the same in the Canadian law too . So, if I understand you, I buy an incomplete software without any information from Adobe about that !!!!! and you don't alow me to use a complet french version of the software I paid and use on the US country because of a French law that nobody knows neither follow except ADOBE?????  can you explain me more because I really don't understand your "no answer" to explain an other bug in your software... Why do you sell it as an incomplet solution at the same price in that case? Just have to inform every users about that and we will baught the US (or other language) versions in place of the french one...
Is there finaly a temporary solution to find & install the kuler extention from the US version to the french version in Photoshop & Illustrator (by myself, of course and without the agreement of ADOBE )

  • Photoshop CS4 - Kuler can't connect

I'm using a corporate proxy to access the internet. Adobe Updater figures this out, and prompts for my proxy credentials before checking for updates. Kuler and the Extensions > Connections panel just get a "No Internet connection detected", and "The authentication server is unavailable", respectively. I know I have an internet connection, since I've been searching the forums and google for a solution to this. I can't vouch for the status of the authentication server, but I suspect that's fine too.
I have a feeling that since I wasn't prompted for proxy credentials, that must be the issue, but I can't really believe that a mature product such as Photoshop would not work behind a proxy server, or even allow me to edit preferences to configure my proxy settings manually. Is there any kind of workaround that does not involve my IT department adding an exception (which won't - and shouldn't happen)?
Thanks for any help or insight!

Thanks Zeno - already tried that.
From the Window > Extensions > Connections dialog I get the error "The authentication server is unavailable."

  • Kuler search in Photoshop not working

I am trying to use the search tool in the Kuler extension in photoshop, but it is unresponsive. It does not show any search results, or seem to do anything when I type in the search field and hit return. I am trying to access my color themes through the Kuler pallete, so I can edit them in photoshop. I know that the Kuler palette is connecting to the online site, as I can see the public themes + I am also able to upload to Kuler throgh photoshop.

Same here. I can see all my old Kuler themes on the web and in Photoshop, but when I add a new one on the newer Adobe Colors website, those themes never show up in the Photoshop extension. Seems broke! I am also using latest PS CC, but maybe there is a Kuler extension update?

  • Why are kuler colors different to Photoshop and Illustrator?

When I make some colours in kuler, I get RGB and CMYK numbers for them.
When I enter the RGB into Photoshop I get different CMYK values.
When I enter the CMYK into Illustrator, I get different RBG values.
    Which do I believe??
I guess that this must be something to do with colour profiles. Can anyone advise please?
    Thanks
P.S. I did ask this before in the kuler forum but that forum is very quiet .

    Thank you.
I'm 'happy' with the idea of colour spaces. But does anyone know what colour space kuler is working to when it translates rgb - cmyk? I can't seem to see that anywhere, or how to change it.
If you can't change it, it's worthless! You have to specify both the RGB color space and CMYK color space only after which you get the CMYK values you need. Alter either description and you'll end up with different values.

How do I load new kuler themes into photoshop CS6?
That's it, plus the Kuledr desktop app (Mac version) always gives me a Kuler Klash?

Are you sure it is not stand alone?  Google Sketchbook Express & Photoshop CS6, and you get no meaningful hits.  Google just Sketchbook Express and it brings up links than say stuff like:
If you've just switched to Mac and are looking for a replacement for MS Paint, then SketchBook Express is a fun drawing application that's suitable for everything from a quick doodle to professional sketching.
SketchBook Express uses professional-grade tools that enable you to produce some highly impressive results. The streamlined interface allows for what is known as "gesture-based marking menus" which mean that different tools are available to you at the click of a mouse. However, to get the most out of SketchBook Express, you'll need a pen and tablet device.

  • Does Kuler have a relationship with Photoshop?

Kuler has a relationship with Illustrator.  I'm finding I open Illustrator just for the Color Guide, then I go back to something else having to do with photos so I'm actually working in Photoshop most of the time.  Just starting to try to use Kuler, so I've only recently found the Kuler Panel in Illustrator.  Does Kuler have a relationship with Photoshop?  Would the simple answer be, "No." ?

Thanks for many nice answers here.  TipSquirrel esp cute and helpful!  (although the first link was out of date info, it had a second link that was on target).  JJMack was giving me accurate info, but I didn't know how to follow it -- What menu, What Help, Browse Where?  I didn't know whether to start from local or on Adobe/Kuler my account or what.  Finally catching on a bit.  That chain link thing on my top menu is Creative Cloud.  But mine was dysfunctional. Got an update, now better.  I got PS 2014 too.  (CC confused me though because it said my photoshop was both up-to-date and that there was an update)
I'll be working with the new Kuler capability today.  I hope that at least once I put my Kuler Theme into my swatch panel that then I won't have to be tethered to the Cloud to proceed.  Thanks again friends, Cheers!

  • Kuler webbsite and Photoshop Elements 9 ?

Does anyone know if Kuler works with Photoshop Elements 9 ? I guess what  I'm asking is, can I import palets from the webbsite "Kuler" into Photoshop  Elements 9 ? I just bought elements 9 and still learning how to use it.  I've got my fingers crossed, hoping I didn't make a mistake with this purchase !

Kuler panels are built into Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Fireworks, and Flash Professional - all part of the CS5 software. You can download ASE files (Adobe Swatch Exchange) and import the swatches into the software. Unfortunately ASE files are not compatible with Elements.
But Adobe’s on-line app is free and there is a download for desktop.
You can create your own color swatches and save favorites and share them with the on-line Kuler community.
To use them in Elements you have to type the hexadecimal value into the color picker.

    Hi,
Photoshop Elements does not have kuler panel unlike Illustrator, Photoshop etc. However, you can save your themes as ASE files and then load them in Photoshop Elements via the Swatches Panel by loading the ASE file via the 'Load Swatches' menu in the fly out menu.
    Hope this helps..

  • Can Kuler work with Photoshop Elements 5.0

Can Kuler work with Photoshop Elements 5.0 and is it of
    value?

    Hi Chuck,
Photoshop Elements 5.0 does not support Adobe Swatch Exchange
(ASE) files, but you can copy/paste HEX values from kuler into
    Elements.

  • Kuler in Photoshop CS3

Non è possibile scaricare un estensione del pannello Kuler in Photoshop CS3?

Which version of the SDK are you using? My guess is that you are using CS6 or earlier SDK and the version number of that suite is newer and CS3 does not expose the suite version you are asking for.
Try changing the version of sPSActoinDescriptor to use kPSActionDescriptorSuitePrevVersion. Make sure you check for NULL for all functions before using them. If I remember correctly only the PutInteger64 and GetInteger64 routines are for version 3. You could also add in two versions of the sPSActoinDescriptor and try to acquire the new version and if that fails try to acquire the old version.
If that doesn't work you can try using the CS3 SDK.
