We would love to know how people are using kuler. What kind
of creative projects are you doing? In what interesting ways have
you applied your kuler themes? Share your kuler story.

No, what I meant was the following situation:

Sign in - in kuler not working?

I tried to sign in in the kuler application now for several
times, tried FF 2.0, IE 6.5 and Opera 9 - and the application
always says after some seconds of spinning color wheels ;) in red
lettters: "forgot Adobe ID", "forgot password" and "server
unavaible". My login works on the "normal" adobe page, like in this
forum - so I think my password and username are working.
Does someone know if the sign in is broken or misbehaving atm
in kuler? Or did I do something wrong? I tried also to switch off
my firewall, no success...

DesignerChic, I can understand your frustration... rest
assured it's not you. The insidious part of the Adobe
authentication issues is that it's intermittent and as an Adobe
issue is something the kuler team cannot control. The
authentication group is continuing to hammer things out, so we
appreciate your patience.

Logging in to kuler

I'm trying to sign in but Kuler to save a theme but just it
just 'spins' away...anyone else having problems or have I got the
wrong end of the stick? Thanks.

Hi, the authentication work is still underway so until it is
fixed (hopefully putting an end to our random login issues) please
bear with these intermittent failures and delays. :p

.ase is an unknown format

All,
I've tried downloading an existing theme and using it in AI
CS2 but I get this message: 'The file "Bell Peppers.ase" is in an
unknown format and its styles cannot be imported.' I've created
.ase files through CS before and these have worked okay. Could it
just be this theme?

Am i able to get adobe kuler on my mac desktop?

No, flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.
If you do a search on this forum you will find hundreds of other threads on the subject.

I can't login to Kuler with my Adobe ID on OSX. I can use kuler.app, but not through a browser.

I am using osx, and I've tried Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. I have cleared all caches, restarted and upgraded to CS5.5. I found the other forum discussion regarding this and I've tried everything on it, including changing my password. Any advice?

Beginning with Flash Player10.3, Local storage settings let users specify whether websites can store information using Flash Player. The login issues that you are facing can be because “kuler.adobe.com” website is blocked from using local storage on your computer.
So,if you have installed Flash Player 10.3 on your computer, please make sure to allow the use of local storage for “kuler.adobe.com” on the list of sites using local storage in Flash Player settings manager. To access the local Flash Player Settings Manager:
Windows: click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Flash Player
Macintosh: System Preferences (under Other) click Flash Player

Downloaded album, last song is blank. So is iTunes store copy. What gives?

I downloaded Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts album by Kula Shaker and the last cut, Stotra, is just blank air for around 7 minutes. I went back to the iTunes store to see if that was the case on their copy and it was also 7 minutes of blankness. What gives with that?
Does that mean there is no bonus song on the album called Stotra?

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

Kuler Save

How do you save a Kuler into the photoshop swatch panel without it blending into the default swatches? In the Kuler Extension, there is a SAVE button after I defined a swatch, so where does it go after that? When you download from the Kuler site, it's only a picture and once more, when you click on it, it just adds to the default swatches... I don't want that. I want them to be able to load separately. Can't find an answer...

Hi,
In order to save the Kuler swatches to there own .aco or .ase file (so you can load them separately from the defaults) you have to do a couple things. First you need to remove the default swatches, add the Kuler swatches to the Swatch panel, and then save those swatches to a location that you store/load custom presets.
1) From the Swatch panel's upper right side, click the pop-up menu icon and select 'Preset Manager...'
2) Select all the current swatches (Ctrl+A), then select 'Delete' and then 'Done'
3) Now open the Kuler panel and add the theme swatches to the Swatch panel
4) Again from the Swatch panels' upper right side, select 'Save Swatches...' or 'Save Swatches for Exchange...'
5) The default directory to save the swatches should be your user's Preset/Swatches
6) once saved you can Load these when needed in the future.
The Save Theme button in the Kuler panel Create tab will allow you to later go to the Browse tab and filter on the 'saved' themes. I have to ask if the actual swatch info is saved somewhere on the local disk, or if it is a pointer the the online Kuler account.

Where do we find the Kuler iPhone App?

Nowhere to be found on Adobe, Kuler or even iTune and AppStore sites. It is a mystery…

A kuler vocabulary invention

I got a PM from Sami Iwata 16 days ago and haven't seen it
until now:
"Hey Raymie,
I do like the way you handled the Suburban Summer issue, with
humor --"forked." That term is actually getting picked up by others
now. It's a friendly way to educate other users about etiquette on
using other themes as inspiration.

The issue was that one of the few themes that's top10ed a
kuler chart AND is mine (Grocery Store Marketing) was taken by
somebody who changed one color. The new theme, called Suburban
Summer, immediately sparked me to comment:
"You know you've made it on kuler when someone loves your
theme so much that they fork it!
In this case, Grocery Store Marketing got forked. I love the
fifth color you added here.
Definitely five-star work."
Peppermintpie (one of my favorite kuler artists) said it was
great work and then sighed when (he/she) realized it was a fork.
(He/she began checking out my themes about that time...)
LR just was confused about the term.
I let people get away with forking if they change something
significant. Someone tried to take Violetflower from me by making
an exact copy. It got pulled once I took it to kuler talk. The term
itself was taken from development circles.
Yay forking!

Adobe does not support any Wordpress plugins for Kuler. You may find something similar to what you are looking for by search the wordpress community. Good luck.

Error while defining a warehouse as Bonded Store

Hi All
I am getting one error while defining a OPM Warehouse as Bonded Store in OPM Inventory Module under Warehouse Attributes.
The error is 'APP-JA-460778: This Warehouse does not have a Parent Organization defined in Oracle Financials'. Can any one tell me where i missed the setup part of defining a parent organization in Financial Module. We are on OPM 11i EBS.

I think you are using India Localization. Sorry, I don't have any knowledge in that area.
I got following information about how to setup Organization/Warehouse. And it says that any deviation from this may result in error. Check if you are following all the steps required for defining warehouse and organization.
Please ensure that the following setups are done exactly as mentioned below:
1) Create an OPM organization in OPM System Administration using OPM Organization Screen eg. ‘PM1’
2) Create a Location using ‘HR Locations’ form with the same name as the OPM Organization (eg. PM1)
3) Create an Inventory Organization using the form ‘HR Organizations’ with the same Organization Code as the OPM organization Code created in step 1. (Additional Identification details of the Organization could be given after a colon (:) in the Organization Name – Eg. ‘PM1: Vision Process India Mumbai’). Make this Inventory Organization as ‘Process Enabled’ and in the ‘Process Organization’ field, refer to the OPM Organization. Attach the HR Location created in step 2 to this Inventory Organization.
4) On saving the Inventory Organization record, the system shall automatically create a Warehouse with the same name in OPM under the OPM organization. (eg.PM1)
5) Query the Location ‘PM1’ and attach the Inventory Organization ‘PM1’ to it.
6) Go to Organization Additional info in OPM System Admin – Create a record for ‘PM1’.
Enter the EC Code for this Organization, as this is the Excise Licensed Organization. After saving
the record here, an automatic entry is created in India Local Inventory – Organization Additional Information for the Inventory Organization.
7) Go to India Local Inventory Org Additional Info and query for this Organization (it will be visible without location). DO NOT mark this as Master Organization.
8) Add another record for the Organization with Location (eg. PM1)
9) Check the 'Master Org' flag for this combination of Organization and Location.
B: Warehouse :
1) Create an Inventory Organization in India Local Inventory corresponding to the Warehouse in OPM (eg. ‘WSH’). Make this as ‘Process Enabled’ and give the ‘Process Organization’ as the
OPM Organization created earlier (PM1), which is the Process Organization this Warehouse is going to report to.
2) Create location (WSH-With the same name as the Warehouse Code) in India Local Inventory and attach it to organization ‘WSH’ in India Local Inventory
3) System automatically creates Warehouse ‘WSH’ in OPM under the OPM organization (PM1)
4) Using the ‘Warehouse Attributes’ form, classify this Warehouse as Bonded/Trading/OSP
5) Go to India Local Inventory Organization Additional Information form and create a record ‘WSH’ giving the Master Organization as ‘PM1’ (actually this is referring to the combination of PM1 with Location
PM1 as Master Organization) . Add another record for the same Org ‘WSH’ with Location ‘WSH’
with Master Organization as ‘PM1’. Please ensure that the EC Code is exactly same as the Master Organization.
6) Optionally ensure that in the Register Priorities, highest priority (1) is set against PLA.
7) Optionally ensure that Allow Negative PLA Balance Flag is checked.
Also make sure that all objects (triggers, packages etc) that are related to localization are valid.

DPS Enterprise License for Apple's B2B Store

Hey everyone,
we developed an app and successfully tested it on our iPads via DPS. We aim to distribute the app via the B2B store from Apple and the tutorial PDF from Adobe tells me that we need an "Enterprise license" for DPS.
Our company uses Adobe Creative Cloud and I am wondering now whether this already means that we have an "Enterprise license" for DPS, as well?

Movies i bought from the itunes store and they wont sync to my ipod

I had bought an ipod for my daughters birthday n i had purchased several movies from the itunes store and they downloaded n they show up in my library n wheni check them to sync to her ipod....it shows a pop up block that says that it cannot be copied to this ipod cause it is not supportrd by this ipod. my baby is really wanting to use it n I downloaded the itunes 10 & updated her ipod software to 4.3.3 i think that i did all the necessary updated and downloads now what do i do...i've been on this comp eversince 11:00am this morning and it is still now 1:29am....i dont know....if anyone has any suggestions..they r welcomed

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
