Kyocera QCP6035 v3.5.3 Hot-Syncing to the USB/Serial on a Mac G-4 running 10.4.x

Ok, now.  Don't laugh!  I am seriously attempting to find the REAL Original Palm Desktop software for version 3.5.3 to match what is on my Palm-Powered Kyocera QCP 6035 ex-cell phone.  I use it currently to record the titles of books, tapes-recorded or factory, DVDs-factory or DVR'd.  Of course, being a prudent being, I would like to backup this voluminous amount of titles off the Memo Pad area to my Mac's hard drive.  I need someone to point the way to a download or e-Bay or purchase-type source to find either the CD-ROM of PD v3.5.3 software or a link to it or something.  I'm sure, if we all pooled our resources, we could come up with a real answer for me.  What do you say?

A more recent version of the software would be needed if you run leopard as it doesn't support the classic environment, and anyway, the more recent versions should be just as compatible with your device - my palm V runs the same version as your handheld and is perfectly happy with a version of the software I downloaded fairly recently so it should be the same for yours. I would understand that there's a certain prestige value in having the oldest software though, so good luck if you decide to continue to search for an old version...

  • Lost data on my Mac after it got reset but my iPhone is still synced to the old version of my Mac?

So, during an awful visit to the Apple store in which the "genius" completely reset my Macbook Pro (10.8.5) because it decided to go "turtle mode" for no reason whatsoever, I lost all my data and files on it. After putting whatever I had backed up back on the Macbook, I put some new things on my iTunes and tried syncing the Mac's iTunes and my iPhone 5 ios7's iTunes. However my iPhone was synced to the older version of my Mac before it crashed and got wiped out. I got this message:
The iPhone “___” is synced with another iTunes library on “___”. Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?
An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library.
Is there any way I can get my lost data back onto my laptop with my iPhone? Or if there isn't and I sync the new version of my Mac with the iPhone, will my iPhone lose any data to match my Mac?
    thanks

    I have a MacBook Pro
Even after I reset my palm pilot (TX) many times and tried to hot sync (I have my info on palm software)
It gets "stuck" on the "address portion" of the  sinc for a long time (5 - 7 minutes)  and then gives this error message:

    HI
How do I disable iSync?  It is not disabled and I do not know how to make it so.
This is in my iSync Disabled Conduit Folder:
    Calendar Conduit
    Datebook Conduit
    ToDo Conduit
    Contacts Conduit
    Memo Conduit
    Tasks Conduit
    Address Conduit
    LifeDrive Backup Conduit
    Memos Conduit
Here's what is in my conduit folder:
    Apple
    Install Conduit
    Note Pad Conduit
    Backup Conduit
    Voice Memo Conduit
    Photos Conduit
Now, it's not finishing the sync , basically taking a long time on "address " so I eventually had to cancel the sync.
    Thanks,
    Nick
    Your original post:
I would disable all pim conduits so you are able to complete a sync then get a program called dbfixit from
www.pimlicosoftware.comand have it scan your device for any errors

  • How do I Hot Sync my palm Address Book to original Mac Address Book?

MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.7)
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I am a little unclear about what you mean, but if you are referring to Apple's Address Book and iCal, the best way to sync a Palm Pilot with it is to download and pay for a wonderful shareware program called Missing Sync and use it. Missing Sync is available at http://www.markspace.com
You can also do this by using Apple's iSync, but Missing Sync is much better. For details on how to use iSync, just look on Apple's iSync web site.

  • Changes I make to contacts on my touch will not sync with the address Book on my mac.

I have made changes to my contacts on my touch , but since I have gone to ios5 and icloud, the changes show up on my ipad, but wont sync with my mac.
Don't know what I am doing wrong, any suggestions?

Check in Settings > iCloud that Contacts is on (green) in both devices. If that isn't it, the following may help: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3998

  • Error: "Conduit Manager quit unexpectedly" during Mac Hot Sync

Hello!  After many years of successfully hot-syncing my Palm m500 to my various Macs, i'm suddenly getting an error message every single time my Hot Sync tries to sync the Datebook data:
The application Conduit Manager quit unexpectedly.
Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.
Click Relaunch to launch the application again.
i've already tried reattaching the USB cables and the Palm m500 into the cradle, and rebooting my Mac several times, and removing the "com.palm.xxxx.plist" files and the "Palm Desktop Info" file from my users/library/preferences folder.   and i've spent several hours cruising these forums but nothing has worked.  I've tried hot synching about 10 times in the last 12 hours but i keep getting this same error.
i also tried slowing down my hot sync by pressing the Shift key on my Mac during the entire hot sync, but i still get this error:
    Conduit Manager:  Unexpected error #-111
i tried to paste my full log report below but i ran into the 20k character limit for this form.  since it looks like it's "Thread 4" that is causing the crash, i've deleted other parts of the log report but can send those to you in another posting if that would help.
thanks in advance for any help you can offer!  i love my Palm m500 as I much prefer it to Apple's iCal system and would like to fix this problem so I don't need to abandon my Palm!

I had the same problem syncing my Palm TX with 10.5.8.  After being without my Palm for 3 weeks, I bought Snow leopard, and all was fine again.  I found out at an Apple store that 10.5.8 was full of propblems, and this was one of them.
Fast forward: I've been using 10.6 ever since it was released, happily syncing away with my Palm ... until Friday night (2 days ago), when it stopped working, and then I discovered that Palm does not and will not support Mac OS 10.6.  So I'm urgently trying to migrate everything on Palm to my iPod Touch, exporting to 10.4 on an old iBook, since it will still sync with it, then moving the data to my iMac's 10.6, and then syncing with my iPod Touch.
I'm working on the problem now, and have my Schedule migrated, but now need to get my ToDo, Address Book and Memos done.
The 10.6 Address Book (v5.0.1) doesn't support the Palm's custom fields like Tiger's Address Book (4.0.6).  I can't yet find a way to export the Palm's ToDos in a format that iCal can consume, and Notes on the iPod (for my Memos, possibly) is not supported on 10.6 yet for my iPod Touch.
1 step forward, 3 steps back, so far; but absolutely necessary, now that Palm has withdrawn from the Mac market.
Any ideas on these 3 problem areas, from anyone, would be most welcome.

  • Hot sync usb cable

instructions on how to crank this puppy up say "press hot-sync button on usb cable". No gots! Musta been lost 08/05. Anyone know where to get?
    This question was solved.

The Z does not have a cable with a hotsync button. The device does come with a screen tap for hotsync. It should look like two arrows going in a circle chasing each other. Connect the USB cable that came with this device and tap on this icon.

  • TX error in hot syncing calendar

I installed the new Palm Desktop and now my calendar won't hot sync.  The sync starts, but stops on calendar and will run forever if I don't stop it.  This is the message I'm getting.  Any ideas?

have you check the whole hotsync log? it should have work as expected.
try rebooting the PC and hotsync again.

  • Hot Sync problem w/Tungston T/X

OK, I've looked through some of the notes about Sync problems but I haven't seen anything exactly like what I experienced.
This past Monday I added some items to my calendar and proceeded to do a Hot Sync.  The process completed and stated that there was a problem and to check the Sync Log.  The following was in the Sync Log:
    -- Calendar
    - Some handheld records were not copied to your PC. Your computer may be full or you may have reached the maximum allowed records on the desktop. To correct this situation, delete some records and perform a HotSync operation again.
    Desktop = 7099, Handheld = 7081
Well, I'm not sure how this happened but ALL the records in my calendar were deleted!!!  A check of my datebook .DAT and .BAK files shows that both are at 1,682K.  So they don't appear to be empty.
I think I ran into this problem over a year ago with an older PALM (but it was with my addresses) although I don't remember how it got corrected but I did have back up data on two different computers so I managed to get things back to normal.
One more point, after the 2nd Sync failed to restore the data I upgraded Hot Sync to 6.2 but that didn't help either.
Evidently there's a limit on the amount of data to be stored in the calendar (and probably the other functions).  What I can't believe is that since there is a limit why doesn't the PALM software warn the user that the limit is about to be reached so problems can be avoided?
Any help in this would be appreaciated.
One more point...this situation is with my laptop running XP.  I have a much older desktop that is also running XP and the PALM software (4.2) but I haven't sync'd on the desktop since September...but it's address.bak file is bigger than the one on my laptop (1,798K).

BH-Hook, thanks for the db error information.  I've procured the software you recommended and it corrected a number of problems in the calendar db.  There was a message from that software that said to make sure that on my next sync that the handheld should update the desktop.  I remember that there was a place to select this but I can't find it now with the newer software.  Does the new Hot Sync software just assume that the handheld always updates the desktop or is there some secret place to select this option.  So if you see this let me know what you if the handheld always updates the desktop or is there some place to make this selection?  I've looked in the help files too and found nothing about this.
    Thanks.

  • 755p Hot Sync erased all previously saved pics...Advice Please.

    Hello,
When I Hot Sync from 755p to PC, all pics from device are usually saved to My Documents\Palm OS Desktop\755p\Photos\BackupForInternal\Palm so I typically delete the pics from device because all new pics are added to any that were saved previously to PC and I have all pics I ever took. Unfortunately, I do not have memory card and did not back up the pics from PC to disk.
Today, I Hot Sync and the new pics that were on my device were saved to PC as usual but this time all pics that were saved previously to PC were erased.
How can I get these erased pics back?
Will system restore (Windows XP) to point prior to last hot sync work?
    Thanks!

Unfortunately then the data is lost. I talked to a tech here as well and it might be possible to do the system restore and get the pictures back. But the system restore is meant to recover system data if there was a bad program installed or to recover to an earlier point for better system stability
What are the chances that recovering to an earlier point will recover the images to Palm Desktop?

  • Hot Sync - Recover File

I'd be interested to know if anyone can help me.
I had two Palm folders - one with with addresses, date book, etc., the other one was empty. When the hot sync was performed, it first synced with the empty folder. When I realized this, I performed another hot sync with the other folder that had information and the hot sync synchronization then emptied the good file. Now both folders are empty and all of my information is gone.
I have a backup file so is there any way to bring in the backup file and do a hot sync to reload the information?
    Thank you.

I think the solution to your issue is in my earlier post: http://forums.palm.com/palm/board/message?board.id=windows_hotsync&message.id=52412#M52412.

  • First time hot sync problems

I've had to reinstall palm and hot sync applications for a tungsten E2 handheld. When I try to do the hot sync for the first time, it askes me for my handhelds password.  When I type in what I know is the correct password, it is not accepted. I've double checked what the password is, it just won't accept it, any suggestions?

Are there any Capital Letters in the password?

  • Syncing photos via iTunes - getting new error message" "the iphone could not be synced because the connection to iphone was lost"

I am trying to sync photos in a dedicated file on my desktop with the photo library on my iPhone 4S.  Something I have done many times before.
Since upgrading to iTunes 11 I get this message "the iphone could not be synced because the connection to iphone was lost" midway through the sync.  I do not understand this as I am syncing via the USB lead, so how can the connection be lost?
Bascially I just want to update the photos on my iPhone with new photos I have added to the file I use on my computer.
Any help or ideas would be gratefully received.  Thanks.

  • Syncing issues with USB port

I can only sync on the USB port on my G5 tower. When I plug into the USB port on my Apple Cinema display the phone only charges...no syncing. Any ideas? I'd like to use the display port.

The USB port on your Cinema is a port on the built-in hub in the display. It can't supply the power needed by the iPhone.
