L'image disque de sauvegarde « /Volumes/Time Capsule » est déjà utilisée.
Hi, since few weeks an error message pops up on my screen with the following message: L’image disque de sauvegarde « /Volumes/Time Capsule de Gina-Marie /Ordi Gina.sparsebundle » est déjà utilisée. Anyone knows how to fix this. I keep trying allocating the Timecapsule destination as before and it keeps poping up. Thanks to anyone knowing how to fix this.

Tout d'abord, redémarrez le Mac et votre Time Capsule. Dans la plupart des cas, ce qui devrait résoudre ce problème. Si cela ne fonctionne pas, voir > http://pondini.org/TM/C12.html -
The backup disk image "/Volumes/Data/iMac.sparsebundle" is already in use
I've been using Time Machine (on Time Capsule) for about a week; with successful backups until today - when I got the following message:
The backup disk image “/Volumes/Data/WinMac.sparsebundle” is already in use.
"WinMac" is my iMac's name.
Any advice? The proposed "solution" (to unplug/restart the router/disconnect users from the disk) isn't really a solution, though. Rebooting the network every time Time Machine breaks itself is hardly a solution. The whole system is supposed to be worry free; a network reboot is hardly an example of worry free.
The problem is silly and rampant on my home network that servers a collection of laptops; at any given time, someone seems to be seeing this error. If we wait long enough, the problem seems to go away, but in the meantime, people are unable to back up their machines.
My best guess as the cause of this problem is when a laptop is put to sleep in the middle of a time machine backup. Since time machine effectively runs as a background process, this occurrence should not be surprising and should have been handled gracefully by Apple. Except it (apparently) isn't. When the machine is slept during the backup I again guess that lock file is left in the sparse bundle. My attempts to find said lock file have been unfruitful.
I'd sure like to see Apple address this issue in some way. -
When back up to time capsule I get the message no access to backupcopyfiledisc/Volume/Data/Terjesumac.sparsebundle ( error-1)
Try #C17 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting for known fixes. Works for me as well.

For the past several days, I have been getting this message during backups:
Time Machine could not complete the back up. The backup disk image "Volumes/Data/bhoppy2's iMac.sparsebundle" could not be accessed (error-1). When I click on the 'help' icon on the message, it reverts to a blank page, and I cannot find anything online regarding the term 'sparsebundle.' In addition, I cannot access previous backups any longer.

The backup disk image “/Volumes/Data/Connie’s iMac.sparsebundle” is already in use. Time Machine has stopped backing up. I deleted the selected disc and re-selected which one to use. Not sure what else to do.
Pull the power cord from the back of the Time Capsule
Count to 10
Plug the power cord back into the Time Capsule
Count to 45 to allow the Time Capusle to fully restart

Why does this message keep suddenly coming up ? What does it mean ?
The TM cannot access its sparsebundle because it is already mounted somewhere. Whether true or not.. you need to apply the standard fix. Reboot the TC. ie unplug the power and count to 10.. then power the TC again.
That is enough to usually fix it..
See C12 for more info. http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html -
Can anyone help with the above situation??
There are a number of things that cause the problem.
http://pondini.org/TM/C17.html
Usually if you go to disk page in manual setup of the airport utility (5.6 of course as 6 is a toy), disconnect all users and it will then work ok again.
The issue is Lion (maybe contributed to by the 7.6 and later firmware). -
