L/R input partially canceling out each other?
Here's the deal
I created a mono strip for each mono L/R ¼ inch input.
R panned 100% right
L panned 100% left
I attach my equipment that plays the audio
I mute the Left or the Right channel and I can hear the full audio for that channel
but when both are unmuted the audio sounds like it's canceling part of the other channel
how can I do a stereo input if this is what happens?

Try a few more things, some obvious (please don't think that I am calling you stupid, because these are things that I have to check when something is wrong)
1. Are both monitors on?
2. Are you sure that your mini jack to rca adapter is stereo, a stereo jack will have a tip, ring, sleeve setup. (two black bands, not just one)
3. Have you tried a different stereo jack? I have found on some g5's that some stereo jacks work and some don't. Try several different ones.
4. Have you plugged you headphones into the g5 to make sure that you get stereo with them?
5. Swap inputs on the monitors. take the one that is working and switch it to the other one to make sure that both monitors are operational.

Multiple Analog input channels affecting each other (DAQ_mx)
Hi, I use NI BNC-2110 / PCIe-6363 + Labview 2012 for my DAQ.
In out task, we acquire two analog samples(these two samples are timed by on board clock, 1000000 rate) from each analog input (AI_0 and AI_4) whenever DAQ receives a digital trigger from PFI0 (rising edge and retriggerable). We will receive 200 triggers and our program will finish until we receive 400 samples on each channel.
The interesting thing is that different analog inputs seem to affect each other. As shown in the figure below, the white curve is analog input AI_0 and the red curve is analog input AI_4. AI_0 is connected to a triangle input and the curve
below seems right. AI_4 is actually shorted (some result if open) but the acquired data is affected by AI_0.
However, this problem does not occur when only one channel is used in vi (Only the "create channel" and the "read" vi's are changed to be multiple sample and we repeat the experiment with everything else unchanged). So I believe it is not an actual voltage problem before the BNC-2110 board receives the analog input.
Any idea about how to solve this? Thanks in advance! Happy new Year.

Two Analog Inputs.vi 23 KBI used a wire to connect the BNC core and BNC shell on AI_4 when I shorted it(it is set on floating source mode).
The effect happens even if I have some other kind of input in AI_4(the input is like a stair case but it is always modulated by AI_1). AI_4 always appears modulated by AI_0.
Actually it will not bother me at all if this only happens when AI_0 is open.
I guess the sample clock (1000000) is too high to cause this(Yep, probably it is Ghosting...). When this rate is 1000, it does not happen as I have just tried. -
I have 2 roles that allows a user to create certain order types using tcode IW31:
- Role1 can create order type Z1, Z2, Z3.
- Role2 can only create order type ZT.
Used to be that these roles go to different group people, never together. We now want to give both roles to the same people. But during testing we are finding out that both roles are cancelling the other's authorizations.
If we assign both roles to the same user, the expected outcome is that he should be able to create all 4 order types( Z1, Z2, Z3, ZT). Unfortunately, this is not the case... When the user is creating any of the Z1, Z2, or Z3 order types, he is getting the error message "No authorization for ordertype Z1 in planning plant 1000". Then when he creates a ZT order type, he is also getting the same error "No authorization for order type ZT in planning plant 1000".
Have any of you encountered this problem? How did you resolve it? Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

I had my bets on customizing completeness for the plants but am not so sure now. Actually, I don't know. But I will think about it.
Perhaps try drop an SU53 into the error to see exactly what was requested in the last failed authority-check before the error, and what the user has in the authorizations when Role1 and Role2 are assigned?
Then trace the Role1-only user and compare what is checked. There is a usefull feature in the trace to jump to the source code location of the check. The answer is most likely there (also check whether the source code location is the same location as the both-roles-assigned user. It might, for some reason, be finding that the user is authorized for all possible values of the order type field, and therefore sharpening the checks on the planning plant field at some other location.
It might even be in an EXIT which has been activated for some reason coding of the role with an authority-check in it which does not like the other role at all and throws this message to say "bugger off, you should not be here if you have any other authority, or too much authority". Checking for EXITs would be my second bet then.
But that is just "not-logged-on-guessing" from me.

Run two counters simultaneously with out affecting each other

I am new to labview. I am trying to figure out how the two counters/ timers( one is nongateable standard timer and another is standard timer which is software based) run simultaneously. Welcome to the forums! As a new LabVIEW user there are many helpful resources out there to get you started. I would like to point you to the two links in my signature. The first is a six hour LabVIEW course and the second helps you learn DAQmx. Also take advantage of the shipping examples. When you open LabVIEW select Find Examples to open the Example Finder. Assuming you are using DAQmx, you can go to Hardware Input and Output>>DAQmx>>Counter Measurements and find many useful example programs that either do what you want or can be modified to perform the task you desire.
To answer you question, two counters in the same loop do not affect each other. The counters will gather data separately. By putting them in the same loop, you just perform the reads in software at the same time.

We are two people using three difrent Macs, 1 Iphone and 1 Ipad with separate USERS on each Mac but sharing the same Apple ID: xxxxxx
I set up the first user to iCloud and it was OK but when I set up the second user to use iCoud the first users's info gets mixed with the second user's info?
Do we have to set up a diffrent Apple ID for each other?
Sometime ago I added my friends E mail (yyyyy) to the main Apple ID (xxxx) as for using his E mail account (to separate our e mail accounts, and it's working ok) but now when I try to create a new apple ID whith the same friend's e mail (yyyyyy) it says that his mail (yyyyy) is already an apple ID when the Apple ID is really my E mail (xxxxx)... any clue?
ThanksI believe because you migrated from a Nokia to an iPhone you need to register the Bn phone number with your Apple ID so it can be used for iMessage. The Pn number seems to be the only one registered

Our family has several apple devices, iPad, touch, and now iMac, our original iTunes are all under a different apple id. do we keep our own accounts even in cloud? do we all have access to each others media? (First time out with all this..)
There is no problem about using one ID for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match, and another for iCloud and its email and syncing facilities. This way you can all use the same iTunes account but have separate emails and calendars etc.

How can I select adn enlarge the entire document/image on a page, reducing the the surrounding boarder? I can move the different text and image boxes around independently of each other but the outer most boarders of the main template block appear to be fixed. I thought I would be able to enlarge or reduce my document from 'page layout' but this does not seem possible.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Hi there
I'm debating whether to purchase FInal Cut Pro X or not and I'm new(ish) to video editing.
What I have done so far is produce a music video mimed to audio and shot at about 20 different angles. Each angle is the length of the ENTIRE song, not just snipets.
What I want to be able to do is have those 20 videos sitting stacked up on top of each other (completely synced to the audio) and be able to choose what parts of what video I make my final video out of.
So I want to be able to tell the system to start at angle 1, then at a specific time move to angle 6, then angle 19, then back to angle 1, then angle 16 etc etc etc.
But I dont want to cut up the parts of each camera angle first, I want to be able to select a specific part to play from each ENTIRE camera angle.
Is this possible please? And also what is the correct terminology for this process?
I apologise for not using the correct terminology here, as I dont know the correct words for what I am trying to explain.

Multiple buttons blocking each other out on interactive document
Hi I'm looking for some help with what may be a simple problem that I just can't figure out.
I have a one page indesign cs5 document which has about 10 text frames on ten different layers all converted to buttons. I have set up a menu using show and hide buttons, hid the buttons until triggered, and all of this works fine but the problem is that some of the text boxes block out the others when I export it to an interactive pdf. I orginally had all of these boxes on the same layer and when I encountered the problem I created a new layer for each new text box but the problem still exists.
The odd thing is that I have some pictures on different layers but in the same location on the page and they show up fine.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In few words : "It turns out that there is a bug in InDesign that affects the stacking order in interactive PDFs. The stacking order is determined by the order in which the buttons are created. Buttons created first go at the bottom of the stacking order in the PDF. I compare it to a stack of paper: a sheet of paper put down first goes at the bottom of the pile. Then, each subsequent piece is stacked on top of it.
So the moral of the story is that if your stacking order is incorrect in an interactive PDF, remake your buttons, in the order opposite of how they should appear in the final PDF."

I used to be able to print labels for burned CDs with the cover being the playlist name and the other side the song titles...now the titles print out compacted, overlapping each other and illegible. I thought it was the printer but it happened w/1 other printer as well, which I used before for this exact thing w/no problem.
Try cleaning the print head with rubbing alcohol wipe, then replace your print head. Keep pushing the Ok.

Can you lock administrator users out of each others user folders?
Currently I can access each admin's user-folder from any other administrator account. Is there a way i can change the permissions so that this is not possible?
As an adjunct to this question: Right now the main two users of this machine are logging in as administrator accounts. Can I just add an admin account and downgrade these two to standard accounts, or is it more complicated than that?
thanks for your help.Administrators can change permissions on any file in the system, so while you can set it up so by default they cannot see each other's files, all it will take is a permissions change to allow access. Still, if you want to prevent other administrators from seeing a specific file or folder, go to the desired item and get info on it. Then ensure only you are listed as the one with read and write accessibility, and set the other entries to "no access".
That should do it. If it doesnt, then you may need to use command line utilities to ensure only you have access. However, again keep in mind that while you can set this up, any administrator can get around it by changing the permissions for the file again. This will only present a temporary hurdle... -

Do your contacts exist individually elsewhere? If not, you're stuck. If you have the contacts elsewhere (email, Outlook, FaceBook), one of you can turn off your iCloud contacts and elect to remove them from the iPhone. Your partner needs to do the same so that the list of combined contacts ceases to exist. Have your partner dlete the current account (from the iPhone) and then generate a separate iCloud account. After that, you can each restore contacts from individual sources.

Do two wifi networks in the same home have to conflict with each other?
I have an Xfinity1 system that requires its own combo modem/router supplied by Xfinity in order to run its system. The premise here is that you can play live tv from any of your devices like computers, iPads and iPhones using their wifi system, and it works well.
I was advised by Apple that my two Airport Expresses, which provided my network before I brought in the Xfinity system, should be reconfigured to "join" my Xfinity network instead of maintaining their own separate network. So I reconfigured everything at their direction, and now my Airports won't stream music or anything else. I called Apple, we checked out my configuration and found out my Airports were set up and working correctly.
Now I have been advised by a senior Apple tech to go back to my original setup with the Xfinity network and a separate Airport Express network. This was late last night, and I was just too tired to do it at that point. So, today I have a phone appointment with that senior Apple tech to change everything back to my original setup.
I would like some input from the community about this situation. Maybe there is more to this than meets the eye. Like why are these Airports currently not streaming music from any of my devices? The Airport icon shows up when I try to stream music, but when I choose one of the two Expresses nothing happens.
The Xfinity system does not stream Apple stuff. Could the problem be that, by joining the Xfinity network, the Airports cannot stream music from iTunes or iPads or iPhones because the Xfinity system cannot accommodate Apple content under any circumstances. In other words, do you just have to have an Apple network to stream Apple content?
HELP.By default, the WLC code does not try to contain rogue AP's. Just lots of alarm's and unclassified rogue's.
In this case you hosts may have actually enabled containment but would have also received a screen full of warning about the public nature of the unlicensed wifi band.
Here the Superior Court system is side by side with the County system even to the extent that the AP's are next to each other. Gets fun. Since each SSID constitutes a rogue, each unit represents a LOT of rogues to report.

BODS / SAP : what set-ups are required for communicating with each other ?

There is a new SAP system
And there is a new BODS installation.
Both on independent server machines but on the same lan network.
On the test system of BODS. We tried to see how the communication happens with SAP.
While we try some test jobs by trying to pull a simple table on SAP R/3
In Dataflow, we used simple SAPR/3 ABAP flow. And put it into target database thro query transformation.
In the datastore,
We used the Generate and Execute option,
with a path on the local directory of BODS server for creating the ABAP program and the dat file.
However,
We are always getting error on batch job schedule.
Although the user is having rights on the R/3 table
And can login into SAP R/3 system and check the table.
Still we get an error saying Databstore unabel to connect to R/3 system. Check for user login etc.
For anyone whose login we use. We get the error.
However, if i directly generate the code on the ABAP flow (without running the job),
make the program available on R/3 system.
and then run the job as execute preloaded
this works fine without any error.
and we are able to see the data in the target table.
Now both the systems are new.
And am not aware of the initial set-ups which are required for communication between SAP / BODS.
Are WE missing something on the SAP side setups - for generate and execute option to be used?
Is there anything specific to be done for ease of the communication between SAP server and BODS server in this regard.
Can anyone share some inputs on this.
Actually for any user with full admin rights too, on the sap side, if we use the user login for R/3 connectivity for this particular "generate and execute" option, it errors out after nearly 10 minutes. Then the error says, login info not correct.
So basically, the communication channel by itself between SAP R/3 and BODS seems to be locked somewhere.
If anyone with SAP admin expertise - can help or advise on this.

The first basic task is to get the little ABAP extraction programs loaded and run in R/3. You can pre-load them and then call them, or generate, upload, and execute them all on-the-fly, at BODS runtime. During development, use "Generate and Execute" for your ABAP.
Once that's done, you have four different choices to get the data back: "Direct download", "Shared directory", FTP, and "Customer Transfer". Normally, you'll use either FTP or "Shared directory". Refer to the documentation (the BODS SAP Supplement) for a description of all this.
In all cases (or at least, quite certainly, using the FTP and Shared Directory methods), the ABAP extraction programs are directed to plop their output as flat files in the "Working directory on SAP server." For testing, you can look in that folder to see if any flat files are appearing when you submit an ABAP data flow. If not, then either 1) your ABAP program isn't getting in there (a Basis admin should be able to tell you), or 2) it's not running (ditto), or 3) it's running but unable to generate the output file (ditto), because a) SAP isn't permitted to write to that folder, or b) the folder doesn't exist (it needs to be defined from the perspective of the SAP server).
If you do see files appear in the "Working directory on SAP server" when you run a BODS job w/ an ABAP dataflow, then the problem is that BODS can't fetch them. If you're using the "Shared directory" method, which is suitable for and often used in all-Windows environments, then the account under which the Job Server in question is running must have access to the "Working directory on SAP server," but this time from the perspective of the Job Server. So if, for instance, SAP was directed to put the flat files on a local folder, say, "E:\USR\SAP\BODS", then you might want to share this folder out as, for instance,
sapdev1\bods (for an SAP host called "sapdev1"), and then enter "
sapdev1\bods" in the "Application path to shared directory" field, in your SAP datastore configuration. If your Job Server service is logging-in as "Local System," though, it won't be able to get there -- it needs to log-in as an AD domain account w/ rights to that share. Get it? Try logging in to your BODS job server computer with the AD "service account" setup for use by the Job Server service, and try to open a file on the "Application path to shared directory". If you can't, then BODS won't be able to get data from ECC, either. FTP works similarly -- if you're using that and having trouble, please re-post.
