L180 & LTO3 tape drive communication problem

Question

Hello
We have tape library L180 with 3 lto2 tape drives connected through the lto2-001 adapters.
And now we trying to install lto3 tape drives connected through the lto3-001 respectivly, as it supposed to be compatible with this library.
But library woun't communicate with this new drives showing state "Not Communicating" on the web interface.
Does anyone have any idea what is causing the problem?

This article addresses the minimum library code to support HP LTO Gen-3 Drive.
Steps to Follow
The minimum level of L180/700/1400 library firmware to support the HP LTO Gen-3 drive is 3.08.01.
This firmware can be found on the CRC under Code Downloads under L180, L700 or L1400.
Once you have logged on the CRC, click the Code Download button on the left hand side of the page. This will bring up the STK product download information. Click on the library you need to get code for
