L505 - nothing but a white screen

Hello everyone,
I need help. My L505 is displaying nothing but a white screen. I turn it off, turn it back on and there's nothing but a white screen. I can't do anything to get rid of it. I am unable to access my home screen. All I have is a white screen. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

When updating to the new iOS my ipod died and now I have nothing but a white screen that won't turn off and itunes now doesn't recognize it

When I was updating my ipod touch to the new iOS last night it died and now I have nothing but a white screen. iTunes no longer recongnizes the device and it won't turn off when I hold the power button or when I hold the power and home screen button.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

ITunes store won't load. The progress bar freezes at about 50% and I get nothing but a white screen.

I'm running iTunes 10.5 beta 7 but this issue has been happening since I was running 9. One day I clicked on a link for an app I saw on techcrunch and it pulled up in iTunes as being in the UK store. I clicked ok and my iTunes hasn't worked since. I can log into my account but can't access anything in the store or Ping. I've googled this issue and found some similar sounding stories but none of the solutions have worked. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, turned of the itunes store in parental settings and checked "except for iTunes U", I've uninstalled apple aplication suport and installed safari and every other option I have found and nothing has worked.
Sometimes if I let it sit long enough what looks like an unstyled version of the store comes up but is completely unusable.
Just to be clear, this has been happening since before I was running any beta software or OS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I emailed apple support and they got back to me, I did what he said and it's fixed! SOLUTION found- see below.
I said:
"I can't access the iTunes Store. When I click on it the progress bar stops at 50% and I'm left with a blank white screen (no error msg). I have uninstalled and reinstalled, run the iTunes diagnostics (it said all was ok), gone through all of the online help material and I've tried turning off my firewall. Nothing works. I can't sync my iphone either (stops on verifying iPhone so I think it's getting stuck on trying to contact the store). Plzz help."

I just installed the latest update on my iPhone 4 and now it's nothing but a white screen and my computer wont even connect it to my itunes when I plug it in the USB port. What happened?

I installed the latest update to my phone. Half way through it asked to connect to itunes. After updateing it had some type of error and wanted me to restore the phone. After restoring, another error box popped up and said that it could not be restored. Now it won't connect to itunes or my computer at all and is nothing but the black start up screen with the apple logo, or it's just a white screen. What happened?

DFU mode? How do I do that? So far the only thing I can do is hold down both buttons to power it on and nothing is on the screen and it wont reconize on my computer....

Nothing but a white screen

The mac was just sitting there idle and all of the sudden it went white. After a few restarts it's still white. No startup logo shows or anything, but it does fully boot. I can access it through logmein or through the local newtwork and all is fine. Accessing it through logmein I was able to switch startup disks and reboot...still white. Booting from the OS DVD and it's still white.
Maybe something went wrong with the graphics card?
Is there anything I can try before sending it in for repair?

One thing to try is running the Apple Hardware Test. It's on the "Applications Install" DVD that came with your computer. To run AHT, insert the DVD into the computer, restart, and hold down the "D" key during startup.

2. Disconnect all peripheral devices, except for the Apple keyboard and mouse. This includes ADB, serial, USB, FireWire, SCSI, and PCMCIA devices. If this resolves the issue, connect one device at a time, restarting after each one, until you've determined which device is causing the issue.
3. Remove third-party hardware upgrades such as memory (RAM), microprocessor upgrade cards, and PCI cards. If this resolves the issue, add back one item at a time, restarting after each one, to isolate the issue. Note: Apple does not provide technical support for Mac OS X when used with third-party microprocessor upgrade cards.
4. Start up from your Mac OS X installation disc and check the hard disk with Disk Utility or, if necessary, fsck.

Let's get that issue resolved for you. If you have a phone with a removable battery, please remove the battery and leave it out for a few minutes. Then re-insert the battery and power on the device. If this did not resolve your issue, we do need to gather some more information to further assist you. What type of phone do you have? Does your phone have any physical damage?

Suggest a normal restart and if that doesn't work, try a reset.
Restart iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Reset iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

File icon with ? mark on it means it can't read from the hard drive. The hard drive is now wiped or bad. If just wiped then you will need to reinstall your operating system, OS X. If bad you will need to replace the drive.
Start with booting the computer from the OS X install DVD that came with your system. If the Mac came with Lion Pre-Installed then you use the Lion internet recovery system to reinstall (Hold down Command+r keys or Command+Option+r keys to boot the computer from over the internet to the Lion recovery HD system).

When I turn on my 2008 iMac, I get nothing but a grey screen . . . put in the rescue disk (and held down the "C") and got the Apple logo and the little spinning think, but then to black screen? What to do? What is causing this?

take the out hdd first, and see what happens. Also you may want to take the ram out and then restart.

After I made master reset it's booting fine and working and I can receive calls, but it shows only white screen. Yesterday I updated firmware, but still white screen. What can I do? Please help!

If the screen is white (blank) and the phone seems to work in any other way - it sounds like it's a hardwarefault with the screen in some way. Take it to a Nokia care point.
