L530 ThinkPad 24812TG Solutions Center: Critical Warning on hardwarescan

Dear Lenovo community/support,
Recently I did an update on my L530 ThinkPad 24812TG Solutions center. Now it's updates it gives me a critical warning on the hardwarescan. Lenovo solutions center advises me to get in contact with support with the resultcode so they can help me fix it. I searched the support web a little bit but I guess I can't figure it out myself. The critical warning is the following:
Result code: WHD01V002-WJQDHF
Device: Thoshiba-TOSHIBAMK5061GSY-82UYT8ZGT
Date performed: 09/03/2014
I dont know why the date performed goes a long way back since I didn't have the problem before. If I try to do another hardwarescan the Lenovo solutions center gives the following signal:
"The Leonovo Solution Center-service is niet available. Restart the application or the computer again if the problem occurs again". As you can probably understand I tried this already but nothing happened.
Hope someone can help me out with this problem or at least tell me what to do to fix it.
Thank you very much.
Bart van Loon

Earlier I posted the link to the update that will directly download. There is an update to Lenovo Solution Center that pretty much removes every single feature it had except for the hardware diagnostics scan. And the warranty countdown timer thing.
Anyway, I'm guessing it was because of something to do with using a windows 8 app in windows 10. I'd been running an outdated version the whole time. Why couldn't they just make one application that does everything, support, Lenovo updates, machine specific settings, everything? Shove all that System Update, Lenovo Settings, Lenovo Companion and Lenovo Solution Center into one thing. How hard could it be?
In any case, keep an eye on the Downloads page of the Yoga in Lenovo Support.
Cheers.

  • Lenovo Solution Center Critical low on System Reserved

Windows 8 installs a boot volume System Reserved. This volume is just large enough (350MB) to hold the boot and restore environment.  Because of that LSC issues a critical alert which the user cannot do much about.

I'm faced with the same sort of issue. I have a small special purpose, no drive letter partition that is 88% full and LSC complains about it.

  • Thinkpad S1, solution center says I have a bad battery do I need a new one?

The machine is eight months old so I think it should be a warranty issue but it still has 50% capacity.

i also want to note that i use battery defender so that i dont have any data or wifi on while my screen is off. and probably around 80-90% of the data i use is via wifi, not 4G. and even while i was at work today, where i only used my phone on my lunch break(FB, and chrome. No games at all), my battery drained about 20%. I am extremely disappointed with this device's battery right now.

  • Lenovo Solution Center Windows 10 On Thinkpad Edge 15

Just upgraded to Windows 10.  Ran Windows Update from Control Panel a couple of times.  However, the Lenovo Solutions Center alerts showing Windows Upgrade never done.  When I click on "launch" or "Windows Update" nothing happens.  The is on a Thinkpad Edge 15.  I was hoping to find a download for the Lenovo Solution Center software thinking I could delete it and then download it and reinstall to solve the problem.  Obviously if there is another way that would be nice to know.

I have same problem on a diiferent model Lenovo desktop PC. If you want to try reinstalling the solution centre software, you can find it here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/lenovodiagnosticsolutions/tools/lscoverview Let me know how this goes, I might also try this myself.

It seems to me you are missing some update from Lenovo. I had the same issue, however just recently after updating any available software/drivers for the TPY the message has disappeared.
Glad to hear the problem is solvable. Regarding missing updates, I honestly would not know which one.
Lenovo's own update programs ('L-Update and Drivers' & 'L-System Health and Diagnostics') inform me that all drivers are up to date.

    See this thread:

You should you run the Lenovo system update, that you can download here:
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_IN/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?LegacyDocID=TVSU-UPDATE
It may not find any package for your system, however: after it bombs out, and you close the app, it will get rid of the warning "!" on the interface.

Smart Tests are critical for the HDD Performance and functionality.
I would suggest running another test using HDTune

  • My printer works great but I keep getting error messages from HP Solutions Center

I'm using an HP Officejet J6480 All in One Printer on a Windows 7 64 Bit machine.  The printer works great but I kept getting error messages from the HP Solutions Center every 15 seconds that popped up making it impossible to do work on my laptop so I uninstalled the Solutions Center to try to fix the problem.  Now the printer won't print. Is there a way to re-install the Solutions Center and get rid of the pop up error messages?

hello Danagriz, unfortunately the plugin check page lags behind. adobe has released a critical patch for a vulnerability in its flash plugin, which is reportedly already exploited in the wild. therefore firefox will block insecure versions from running by default on websites for your protection.
    https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player/apsb14-27.html https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/p794
please update to Adobe Flash Player version 16.0.0.235 as soon as possible, which you can download from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (use the windows-exe for plugin-based browsers).
in order to update java, go to java.com (or if you don't need the plugin you can also uninstall it though the windows control panel)

  • ISSUE: Lenovo Solution Center update resets all Settings!

Longstanding problem continues with update to 2.0.020: When Lenovo Solution Center (LSC) updates, all Settings are reset, wiping out options to suppress certain screens and alerts. While not a functionality issue, it's very annoying to have to configure LSC all over again after evey update, so much so that some of my clients stop updating (one client called it the Lenovo Annoyance Center, and removed it entirely), so please fix this issue. Thank you.
    Hope that helps,
    John

We're aware of this issue and agree it is very annoying, especially since LSC updates itself so often.  LSC team tells me fixing it is a priority for an upcoming release (either 2.1 or 2.2).  Sorry for this inconvenience caused by LSC.

  • Lenovo Solution Center - Sugar Sync- uninstall

Since uninstalling Sugar Sync, Lenovo Solutions Centre reports under Device Manager that there is a problem with the driver StorLib Bus. When I check in Device Manager, Storage Controllers, Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller, the device is working correctly. What needs to be done to LSC to make it not report a problem that probably isn't there.
    Any help, Thank you. Petedf.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to inform that it is a false indication from Lenovo solution center. Since Windows doesn’t detect any missing device drivers within the device manager, there is no driver that is missing.
If the warning keeps popping up, change the reminder settings to “never”. Probably, you have to wait for an LSC update in which the bug would be fixed.
Refer here for further information regarding the issue.
    Hope it helped!
    Best regards,
    Mithun.

  • "HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete"

I cannot use HP Solution Center because I only get this message when I start it: "HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete". I am running Windows XP with an HP PhotoSmart Premium. I can print just fine and the printer is recognized by the PC and the network. I get the same problem whether connected wirelessly or through USB. I have re-installed all software multiple times. Please advise on how to get Solution Center up and running.

I had to do a total uninstall and reinstall of the driver. However, as you will see from this and other Support Forum threads there seem to be multiple stumbling blocks to the uninstall/reinstall process. Seems very glitchy. After nearly two days of unsuccessful tries I finally got it done. I did find three different official HP scenarios for the process, including one automatically sent to my desktop by HP upon one of the earlier failures. That sequence did not work work for me, but it was close--I got a partial install. But on another HP help file titled "Product Software Installation stalls or stops in Windows 7 with a USB connected product HP..." I found a six step process (with details for each), and it worked for me on the second try. Here are the six steps, plus extra things I did or discovered that could have helped make it work. I did step 5b. first: downloading and saving  the HP driver file on my computer before starting other steps, since I elected not be be on the internet as I did the installation. 1. Uninstall the HP printer software. See my note below about four ways HP lists do to this. I used two of them.2. Turn off the 'terminate and stay resident programs (has to do with system configuration). See HP details.3. Clear temporary files and folders through Windows accessories.4. Disable firewalls (see my note below about this)5a. Disconned the cable from BOTH the printer itself and from the computer, BUT TURN ON the printer.5b. Get the lastest version driver for you printer from the HP site and save it where you can find it. (I did this first, before other steps, so I could install off-line)5c. Install the driver software that you saved. (see my note below about an optional step that helped me with this, so the install will complete, and not hang up)6. Enable the start up software that was turned off with step 2. (See HP details) Notes: there are versions of HP instructions that  skip steps 2 and 6 and or 3 and 4, but that would not work in my case. I describe the steps that finally worked in case they can help someone else--this has been so frustrating. This uninstall/install process seems to be very touchy and perhaps changes depending on your printer or other configuration of your computer: Note about step 1: I found an HP document that listed four ways to uninstall. On my final and successful attempt I actually used two of the techniques. First I used the HP uninstaller program from the start menu program list on my computer stored with other HP stuff there. When I rebooted it did not appear that any HP programs were removed, but who knows, perhaps this got rid of some hidden file somewhere that had been causing all of the problems. Then I used the regular uninstall process from the control panel, and that worked. All HP programs were gone upon reboot. Note about step 3: I counld not believe this would help, but did it, and again, who knows, perhaps this is critical. Note about step 4: I assumed that step two 'terminate and stay resident programs' turned off my McAfee firewall and antivirus, so I did not turn it off. And I elected to be off the internet during install because I am always fearful about turning off those programs. However, and this may be the source of problems for many people, the HP list was very specific to turn off the Windows 7 firewall. I checked it and it was running, even though I thought McAfee was in charge. So I did turn off the Windows 7 firewall. Subsequently I learned that many people who have upgraded from earlier Windows operating systems to Windows 7 have the Windows firewall operating along with their other firewall, without knowing it. Apparently this does not happen if you did a clean install of Windows 7 rather than an upgrade install. Note about step 5c: On many of my tries the installation program would not terminate or complete, and I would get a partial install that allow some functions of the printer to work, but not Solutions Center. The only way I found to prevent this was at the step near the end, where you hook up the printer, select the box that says it's okay to connect it later. The installer program dumps an icon on you desktop that allows you to connect the printer after the installation shows complete and terminates by itself. By clicking the icon and plugging the cable into computer and the powered-on-printer when directed, the device installs perfectly. That was the only way I could get a full install, or get the installation to terminate. During the two days of trying to make this work I also reinstalled the latest version of Flash player since I read that HP Solutions Center needs it to show screens on your computer about printer functions. Of course downloading Flash onto a 64-bit version of Windows 7 is a little tricky too, but not that difficult. I do not know whether that was important, but it is one more thing to try if you can't make your Solutions Center part of the printer program work. I learned way more about the unintall/install process than I ever wanted to know. Sorry to be so wordy, but after two days of frustrating work on this I thought I should share this, in case any of these ideas could help someone else who is hung up on this. Perhaps there is an easier fix somewhere. The six-step process was on an HP help site and was not even for my specific printer, but the similar list from my model did not work. Wish I knew what the secret to success might have been.

  • Lenovo solution center doesn't seem to recognize System Mechanic Pro as an antivirus program

I I just recently purchased a Thinkpad T430s and also purchased System Mechanic Pro - all from the Lenovo website.  When I installed System Mechanic Pro - it advised me to remove any other antivirus program on my laptop as multiple antivirus programs can cause conflicts.  It looks like Lenovo had pre-installed Norton, so I uninstalled it and installed System Mechanic Pro, which seems to be working well.
The issue is that Lenovo's Solution Center does not seem to recognize System Mechanic Pro as an antivirus and continues to state that I have not installed an antivirus program.
Am I missing something?  Isn't System Mechanic Pro an antivirus?   Is there a way to get Lenovo's Solution Center to recognize I have an antivirus installed?
    Thank you.

Does this solve it?  http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=HT071264  I'm holding off for now.

  • Ads in Lenovo Solution Center 2.4.002 Revision 19058

Today I got a prompt to update my Lenovo Solution Center software. So far nothing unusual. But as I started the installation process, I encountered an advertisement to install the Farmerama game! (see picture below)
Dear Lenovo! Come on! I didn't pay a huge amount of money for a business laptop to see such irrelevant ads in my lenovo updates and I must say that I personally don't like this new practice at all. Is this going to continue in future updates?

I can report the same behavior when I updated today as well. My ad was for some kind of Warcraft clone game that initially caused me alarm as I was concerned it could be malware as it certainly seemed out of character for Lenovo to to allow such an unprofessional advertisement to appear on such a core utility update. I have confirmed that a friend of mine had the same happen when they updated their Lenovo Q700, a consumer grade laptop. They must be using the same suite of utility software across platforms now. I was not happy to see this and it concerns me greatly. Please dont follow the poor practices of lesser companies who in my opinion have often made a lesser grade of product, This does not bode well for the future. Lenovo utilities are the only pre-loaded software I allow on a sytem, and if this continues it will not be the case much longer. I also believe that allowing such low-grade non-professional advertisements that offer imediate download is a 3rd party security concern, and is something that the majority of your cusotomer base would not appreciate, especially in this form. This is not good.
