L655-S5097 64Bit WIN7 and bluetooth stack

I recently set up this PC for my wife and remember seeing a note on the desktop about deleting the bluetooth stack and re-installing it.  But I lost that note and am now stuck trying to figure out why the bluetooth doesn't work.  In fact the toshiba driver hangs during installation and doesn't even complete.  I don't want to completely reload DVDs to the toshiba factory condition since I have already added so many things beyond "base load".
My PCI-mini WIFI card is the Azurewave AW-NB047H not the one that comes in the factory build.  The Azurewave site is useless since it doesn't have drivers for this card and the drivers I found on Softpedia (for this exact card model #) didn't work either.  Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

  • HDP Agent Device emulator and Bluetooth Stack for Win

    Hi All,
We have successfully installed the Bluetooth Stack for Windows (Toshiba v7.10.01)
We would like to know the initial steps on how to test samples given in the Toshiba SDK with the HDP Agent Device emulator?

We are using the HdpAgent tool provided by Toshiba to simulate the HDP.
Successfully installed latest Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba Version v7.10.01
After this we followed below steps to run the HDP Agent Device emulator test application
    1. Set the [Data Type] as Scale
    2. Clicked the [Power]-[ON] button
    3. Set the [Connect Target] to the BD Address of the connection target.
    4. Set the MDL Configuration in [Connect]
Tried both options - Reliable and Streaming
    5. Clicked on the[Connect]-[Auto Connect/IEEE] button to start
    connection with target device.
After executing step 5, we are getting below error

  • Win7 and Bluetooth

I haven't seen much discussion of Bluetooth on Win7. I have an X300 and am using Win7 RC1 at the moment.
If I double click on the BT icon on the desktop, Explorer crashes - every time, without exception.
I have tried un-installing the BT drivers but Windows reinstalls them as soon as it notices. I have loaded the BT vista drivers (7zbv08ww) and the install is part successful. I get a list of items, some say OK, some (BT Personal Area Network and two lines saying BT Peripheral Device) say 'No Driver Found'
I can use my BT printer connection but cannot connect to my Phone (the software just hangs).
After an un-install and re-install, I now have two sets of entries in device manager. One called 'Bluetooth Devices' which has a sub entry of 'Bluetooth Bus Enumerator' and one called 'Bluetooth Radios' with three sub-entries of 'Bluetooth Printing Support', 'Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator' and 'Thinkpad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate'. I can't un-install the BT radios item but can un-install the other tree, which just comes back and I can't seem to control what happens.
Has anyone any success with Bluetooth on Win7?

  • Re: Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit FN key and Bluetooth crash

I have an old problem with FN key. I installed Vista and after a while, it stops working. In Windows, when I press the FN key it freezes about 3 seconds, a blue screen appears that tells me Vista has crashed, a memory dump begins and then the laptop restarts. And now, bluetooth doesn't work anymore and if I try to enable it it dows the same thing.
P.S. The Windows is new installed (4 days), and has automatic updates to date.
I reinstalled Toshiba Value Package, Bluetooth Monitor and Bluetooth Stack.

LE: I uninstalled Value Package and it doesn't give me the blue screen anymore. The FN key works, but it doesn't display that menu on the top of the screen when i press it, but the functions work.

    Hello!
I have Satellite A300D with Windows 7 and Bluetooth Stack by Toshiba (ver. 7.00.10)
I 'd like to connect my mobile phone to notebook over bluetooth. I have tried to add a new connection in Bluetooth Stack. BS has found my phone, but coudln't connect to. BS has showed an error message "Unable to find a service" (I have a Russian version of Bluetooth Stack, so I have to translate the message). And I don't know what service is not running, BS give no additional information.
Please, advise me what can i do to solve my problem.

I think you should enable bluetooth service in Administrative tools- Services:

  • Bluetooth not working even after reinstalling Bluetooth Stack and Monitor

I have a Satellite L70-A PSKNAU-06N06W which was U.S. custom ordered with bluetooh installed. It worked fine for 4 months then stopped. OS is Win7. After reading the boards I downloaded:
Toshiba Bluetooth Stack for Windows, 9.00.03T
       tc00442200e.exe
       Bluetooth Monitor, 4.08
       tc00299500g.exe
It still doesn't work.Bluetooth Settings says "Bluetooth is not ready" and Bluetooth Assistant says "Autosearch has stopped because Bluetooth power is turned off."
In Device Manager under Bluetooth, Bluetooth V4.0 Module(WB335) and Bluetooth RFComm both have the yellow triangle flags. When I Update Driver Software-Browse  my computer- Windows tells me the driver is up to date. When I ask the updater to search automatically it says either that or that the software is corrupted and to contact the manufacturer.
I would appreciate any advice to solve this problem, thanks

In Device Manager, look under Network adapters.
If you cannot identify the Bluetooth there, then check the wireless. Assume it's the same.

  • IPhone 4 Win7 and the bluetooth driver among them

    Hello,
I'm trying to connect my new iPhone 4 with my computer (IBM x300 with Win7) via Bluetooth.
It seems like there is a driver problem. Although both devices can see each other they cannot connect and the message I get is about a driver.
Where can I download the right driver?
    Tal

Bluetooth for tethering is used so your laptop can connect to the internet using your cellular connection without having to wire your iPhone directly to the computer.
Bluetooth supports several different services and each has it's own profile. Some phones allow files to be sent to a computer through bluetooth but the iPhone does not support this. For the files that you typically store on an iPhone (your iTunes media files) this would be so painfully slow you would be better off just to plug it in. It would be as if you had decided to scrub all your floors and decided that an electric toothbrush would be a good tool because it's electric (ooooo... electric).
There are some services that I would like to see supported, like having your computer display when you get a call on your cell phone or dialing from your computer, however I'd be even more thrilled if those were enabled over wi-fi.
Bump has replaced bluetooth transfer from handheld to handheld for me and the latest version allows you to send things you forgot to send after the person you sent them to walks away.
Sending larger amounts of data will also burn through some battery time so you'll want to plug into something to charge, so might as well be plugging into a faster connection to where you are sending as well.

  • Microsoft Wireless Presenter 8000 mouse and Toshiba Bluetooth Stack

Some of the specific functionalities of this MS Bluetooth Mouse do not work with the latest Toshiba Bluetooth Stack : magnifier, digital ink...
The other functions of this mouse (and the remote controller functions too) work perfectly. The magnifier, digital ink, etc..., are working only if the MS USB controller provided with this bluetooth mouse is plugged in.
Many hardware sites and forums are talking about this problem, ie at the end of this page : http://www.hardware-pacers.com/pages.php?catType=r&pid=352&id=968&pageX=on
Is there a chance to have these functions (magnifier, digital ink...) working with a future release of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack ? Any idea of a delay ? Or any idea of a tip to have this working today ?

Of course : I have installed the latest version of IntelliPoint software. A mouse/remote as sophisticated as the Wireless Presenter 8000 can't work without its software.
But one more time, I speak about a Bluetooth MS Mouse, and what I don't understand is that a few funtionnalities (magnifier, digital ink) only works with the MS USB plug delivered with the mouse.
What I'd like is to use ALL the functionnalities of my bluetooth mouse with only the bluetooth adapter integrated into my Toshiba Libretto U100.

  • How to use Satellite P100 with MS Vista and MS Bluetooth stack?

I'm using my Sat P100 for more than one year. I just reinstalled Windows Vista Ultimate from scratch, and because I'm really not so much satisfied with Toshiba's Bluetooth stack, I'm trying to use original Microsoft's Bluetooth stack, which comes with Vistas.
After reinstall, Windows found BT device and installed MS BT stack. Everything worked well, but ufetr downloading and installing tons of updates including SP1, BT device completely disappeared. I found some articles about how to switch from Toshiba to Microsoft BT Stack, but it seems to be a XP sollutions, and mainly it always need to install "Bluetooth Monitor for MS Stack", but I cannout find this download for MS VIsta.
    Can anyone help? Thanx!

    I've got it!!!
I have fond one sollution: maybe not excellent, but working!
    1. Check if you have latest Toshiba Bluetooth stack installed (here: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/?page=download)
1.1 If you have older version, uninstall it, reboot, install latest one, reboot.
1.2 If you don't have any version installed, install the latest one.
    2. Assuming you installed to default location, copy this folder to any backup location, including complete directory structure: c:\Program Files\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\
    3. Go to Start/Control panel/Programs and Features and uninstall whole Toshiba Bluetooth stack, reboot
    4. After rebooting, there is again "Bluetooth devices" applet in Control panels (it was previously disabled by Toshiba's Bluetooth Stack), but you cannot see any HW Bluetooth device
    5. Go to backup location (into ..\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\) and run AS.exe.
    6. It will start installing BT devices, BT icon will appear in Tray.
    7. Installer will hang on cca 5th box, but never mind, all drivers are already installed.
    8. Maybe you can cancel installer, but I feared that it will roll-back installed drivers, so I simply killed this Install process (Ctrl+Alt+Del, Start Task manager, Select BT installer in Apps and Kill it)
    9. Whow, it works now event after restarting.
    10. Your feedback welcome! ;)

  • Satellite L655-145 cannot install bluetooth stack

Cannot install bluetooth stack. Setup programm just freeze. All other drivers installed successfuly. Device manager show only Bluetooth ACPI device. This problem appeared after updating BIOS from original version 1.80 to older (1.80->1.90->2.10->2.20). Downgrade to 1.80 take no effect.
PS. Sorry for my bad english.

    Hi
As far as I know the notebook is equipped with an WIFI and Bluetooth combo card!
This means that Wlan and BT functionality is controlled by one card.
If you downgraded the BIOS (dont know why) please set this to default firstly.
Save the changes and reboot the notebook.
Then download the BT stack from Toshiba BT portal.
Enable the BT (FN+F8) and then start the BT stack installation once again.

  • Synchronisation slow with Win7 and iTunes 64bit?

Hi, I've just upgraded to Win7 Home Premium 64bit OS. I have successfully installed the new 64bit iTunes and re-built my iPhone.
I seems to me that Sync is much slower now. It took nearly all night to re-sync all my music (around 23Gb).
Am I imagining it or is this slow?
    Nigel

i have windows xp and i am not sure which packet but i experience very very slow sync..whenever i plug in my 3gs os 3.1.2 i get an error message stating that i have plugged in a high speed device to a low speed port..i have had slow sync since i got the phone months ago using the older operating systems as well..i have tried all ports on pc including the one directly connected to the mother board and still slow..i have noticed that when the phone is syncing it goes to backup then puts tunes on iphone then syncs again..what i do to speed this up is i cancel the backup then it immediately starts to sync again and begins shortly thereafter putting music on phone..it does take about 10-12 seconds per song..it was taking me 1-3 minutes per song before i discovered this phenomenon..i just bought an new generation nano and it takes 2-3 seconds per song not 10-12..big difference..because of the nano's speed can't i assume that it is the software on the phone..all i have is music, ringtones, application, and pics..i called apple and got an ******* with a doctors degree, so he claims, and he told me to clear out operating system and reinstall..he thinks the prob is that i haven't updated xp since i have the pc for 4 years..i have automatic updates off..does mac machines experience same probs???

  • Conflict Between Toshiba Bluetooth Stack and Power Drawers on Tecra M5

There seems to be a bug in TosBtShell.dll and I'm hoping this alert might get it repaired in a future revision. Maybe also it will save others the considerable effort it cost me to track down the problem on my new Tecra M5. I've had to abandon Toshiba Bluetooth Stack and now use the one in XP SP2.
When Bluetooth Manager is running, TosBtShell.dll puts the item 'to Bluetooth' next to 'Send To' in the context menu for files and folders. Unfortunately it conflicts with the shell enhancement software Power Drawers http://www.dynamickarma.com/powerdrawers.htm that I rely on to speed up access to my computer files. This software lets you right-click on a folder to display its contents in a list. You can then mouse to any folder in the list and that one also expands as a sub-list - and so on as deep as you like until you reach the folder or file that you want. Right-click an item in the cascade and you get a list of useful options. However if Bluetooth Manager is running when you do the right-click, Power Drawers crashes and you have to close and reopen explorer.exe to get it back.
The conflict stops if you remove 'to Bluetooth' from the context menu for files and folders. I proved this by using ShellExView from Nirsoft http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html to disable the Registry key 'Bluetooth File Extenstion' [sic]. This key is associated with C:\WINDOWS\system32\TosBtShell.dll and CLSID {6BEF3D0B-53F0-4b0d-B91C-C19ED3D4C9D1}. Unfortunately the Registry key comes back again whenever you restart Bluetooth Manager.
    David Tong.

I forgot to say in my original posting that the problem still exists in the current version of Toshiba Bluetooth Stack that I downloaded on 6th July from the Bluetooth page.
R2D2, your 'recommendation' would be useful if the site showed in detail what bugs have been fixed. I tried the new version because, although there was no mention of a fix for context menu issues, it does mention that "minor bug-fixes" have been made. I discovered the hard way that these fixes do not deal with the issue I described.
My experience with new Toshiba laptops over the past 15 years is that the update documentation seldom states clearly enough what has changed when new software versions appear. Yet such information could save users a lot of time.
Changing the Bluetooth stack from Microsoft to Toshiba and back is not a five-minute task.
But it seems that the MS Bluettooth stack works with Power Drawers

  • Satellite P750: Unable to install Bluetooth Stack driver on Windows 7 (x64)

    Hello.
    I own a *Satellite P750-02T* (Part no. *PSAY3A-02T001*).
In the order what I did:
    1) I formatted its HDD and reinstalled OS to *Windows 7 x64 Ultimate SP1*.
Then I downloaded *ONLY BIOS and the drivers* from [its Downloads page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] :
    2) I updated its BIOS to *v1.90* (the laptop came with v1.80)
    3) I installed all the drivers:
    - both LAN and WiFi
    - Intel Chipset (latest available)
    - all video drivers (Intel HD Graphics, NVIDIA Graphics, and Intel HDMI)
    - Card Reader
    - Realtek HD Audio (latest)
    - Synaptics Touchpad
    - USB3.0
    - IR
    - TV-Tuner
However, I'm *unable to install the Bluetooth driver (v8.00.06(T)* )...
When I run setup from the [above-mentioned page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] it partially detects *'Bluetooth USB Controller-10 from TOSHIBA'* (USB\VID_0930&PID_0215&REV_001)
and then installation simply freezes displaying +'Installing the Bluetooth Driver. Please wait+.' and stays like that forever...
I also tried downloading a driver from [another location|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download-toshiba] for TOSHIBA notebooks - v8.00.02(T):
and followed installation instructions displayed under 'Details'
but there was the same outcome - the setup simply freezes...
Installing Hotfix (*KB978258*) recommended there didn't work either - the message '+The update is not applicable to your computer+' pops up.
And I understand why - this Hotfix is [already included|http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/B/A/EBA55FE2-373A-4351-9346-6D762B79AA69/Updates%20in%20Win7%20and%20WS08R2%20SP1.xls] into Service Pack 1 for MS Windows 7.
I spent hours searching on the Internet for a solution. Although there were some similar cases none of the recommendations actually worked. I tried installing:
    - WiFi driver before installing Bluetooth (someone suggested that those two are the parts of the same card);
    - resuming installation in Safe Mode;
    - *Toshiba Value Added Package* hoping those tools somehow will kick in.
    Nothing worked...
It's interesting that when for the sake of experiment I tried to run installation for my generic Bluetooth adapter (using the driver [for non-TOSHIBA notebooks|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download]) then everything run smoothly!
*Using Bluetooth connection on this laptop is very crucial for me.*
I hope I shall not have to return this wonderful notebook as I know TOSHIBA is one of the best manufactures and am sure there is a solution to this problem.
    Thank you very much.
    Evgeny.

For FN functionality you must install Toshba Value added package. Toshiba flash cards utility is part of this package.
