L7590- doesn't detect network/ empty network configuration page

Hi,
I baught a new L7590. Installed it according to the instruction + software. The printer was not detected during installation.
Network configuration page in the printer displays empty values- Network status: Offline, IP 0.0.0.0. etc.
I tried to setup an IP manually, but it doesn't help (and it seems that the printer doesn't save my manually entered IP).
Any ideas?

Offline with all-zero IP means that you have a bad cable, or a bad connector on the printer, or a bad connector on the router, or any combination of these.
The netgear router should have indicators (usually on the front panel) that illuminates when a LAN connection is made. Check that first. Also, the printer has LED indicators on the LAN connector -- they need to be illuminated showing activity.

When this printer runs low (NOT out!) of ink, it begins printing the "HP Network Configuration Page" over and over and over. Installing a new cartridge seems to solve the problem, but I'd rather empty the one that's in there before throwing it away in favor of a new one and wasting paper in the process. You need to place the alignment page that is printed on the scanner glass and then press the Scan button. This will complete the alignment process.

What is the exact printer model?
If it is the HP Deskjet 1510, this is a USB printer and it does not offer any network capabilities.

Why does my printer randomly cycle and print a network configuration page?

My HP Photosmart C4795 randomly cycles like it is cleaning the printer heads. Sometimes it is hours between this cycling. Sometimes it will print a network configuration page without being requested.
There are 3 computers connected wirelessly. Both run Windows 7. The wireless signal has a very good signal - the router is ~12 ft from the printer.

It could be a power issue. If the power fluctated the printer would restart which might cause it to do a dirty power print clean.
If you have a surge supressor I would try that.
Not sure why the network config page would print with a power surge, but another possibility is a friendly neighbor playing with you by sending printer clean reauests and network config print jobs. :-)

My HP Envy 5530 prints a Network Configuration Page every time I print anything via the network. How do I stop this? It's a big waste of ink, paper and $$

I dont have a PSC2210 but one of the documents I saw said to go to the front panel of the printer, press the Setup button, press 6 and then press 1 to print the Network Configuration page.

Safari 6 doesn't display Apple Online Store Configuration Pages

This is very odd.
Since I've upgraded to OS X 10.8 Safari 6 will no longer display the configuration pages for any products available from the online Apple Store. It's not a big deal, since I'm not trying to buy anything. But it is a puzzle. What's even stranger is Chrome and Firefox display the configuration screens fine. I've tried clearing the caches, and resetting Safari but nothing works. Any hints will be appreciated.

After a bit more investigation on my part it appears Apple is blocking something because I am in Eastern Europe. When I enable my VPN I can configure BTO Macs, using Safari, to my heart's content. Still doesn't make any sense that Firefox and Chrome work without the VPN and Safari doesn't, but at least I know what I can do.

I assume that you are speaking about WiFi issue… is it correct?
Are you not able to connect the tablet to the WiFi network or what’s wrong exactly?
Anyway, first of all you should consider the possibility of software issue.
In case of software problems it’s advisable to set the device to factory settings in order to check if this simple workaround would fix the issue… and to be honest most software related issue can be solved loading the factory settings…
How to recover the tablet?
This is simple: To enter the Recovery Menu you have to push the Volume + button and the Power On button in parallel for several seconds (Unit must be switched Off before). Then choose the last option called “HDD Recovery”

Airport doesn't detect network occasionally

I have an older macbook(2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Build 9J61) which I just bought last year which occasionally does not not detect my usual preferred network. This happens usually after I put the macbook to sleep. I then have to reset my router or restart my macbook to solve the issue. This often gets frustration as doing the following is very time consuming and resetting the router often annoys my roommates. Is there another way to solve this?

When the network isn't detected, have you tried simply turning AirPort off and then back on via the AirPort menu bar icon?
That works when it sporadically happens to me.

Officejet 6700 connected to network according to network configuration page and network test results

Office Jet 6700 connected to network according to wireless network test results but I get an unable to connect error when trying to set up web tools or connect to get updates. I have an Actiontec Router with century link DSL. I have tried both manual IP configuration and DHCP configuration. I can print wirelessly from my iphone and can access the web service page on the printer but the printer will not connect outside the network. I do not have a proxy.

Never mind. I found the answer... I set the dns servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 ( google's dns servers ). Sort of strange that I set the dns servers manually to the ones recommended on my router and it didn't work but when I set them to google's it works...? Spent many hours researching this til I found the answer. Silly printer and silly instrucutions tha never mentioned overriding the dns servers if you couldn't connect.

Multihomed network configuration

So, when I say multihomed what I really mean is that Macbook Air is configured to use two network interfaces -- Wi-Fi and USB ethernet -- in one Location. Each interface is configured to work on a different subnet. In fact, wi-fi is assigned a public IP address of 195.88.xxx.xxx, and USB ethernet NIC a private address of 192.168.0.252/24. Wi-Fi is en0, and USB ethernet is en2. Both interfaces are in active state.
My goal is to have MBA to route all traffic to en0, except for 192.168.0.0/24 network which I want to go via en2, the USB ethernet card.
The topology is pretty simple:
Linux Laptop <--- Linksys Cisco Router <---   en2 via <--- MBA ---> via en0   ---> Linksys Cisco Router ---> <Internet>
Essentially, I need to put en2 on the ethernet segment where the Linux laptop is to be able to talk to it directly. No routing needed. This apporach works without any problems in Linux environment. However, on Mac OS X it doesn't work and it makes me wonder why.
A few details on what happens on the network:

I tried Service Reorder (in System Settings->Network) and set en2 as the first device on the list, or one position behind en0. It doesn't change anything.

and in one of them it is implied that no extra configuration should be made beyond what I've already done, but clearly Mac OS X doesn't see ARP request reply from the Linux machine.
BTW, firewalls are down on both systems.
I also found this network configuration manual for Princeton University campus network

that claims that Mac OS X actually cannot do what I'm attempting to and refers to Weak End System Model which in essence is described in RFC4907 as:
In the Weak End System model, addresses refer to a host. As a
        result, packets sent on an outgoing interface need not
        necessarily have a source address configured on that interface,
        and incoming packets whose destination address does not
        correspond to the physical interface through which it is
        received are accepted.
That could explain why ARP request reply never makes it back to Mac OS X.
So, any ideas? Any tips?

Windows 7 doesn't detect my Canon MX850

Hi all,
I have a Canon MX850 printer connected to the network. Unlike other reports in this forum, Windows 7 doesn't detect my printer at all.
I can ping the printer and access it's network configuration page so network connectivit is not the issue (I even disabled the windows firewall, just in case).
Any clues where to go next?

Can the printer work fine on other machine on the network?
At this stage, you can refer to the following steps for a test.
1. Plug the printer to the Windows 7 machine directly and install the proper driver. For your reference, I have enclosed the latest driver for Windows 7 below:

Is the printer working fine on the Windows 7 machine? If not, please let me know. Otherwise, you can put the printer back and connect it via network again.
2. If the printer still cannot be detected via network, I suggest you remove the original printer on the computer and recreate a new network printer icon.

OJ 6000 prints Configuration page when ink is low

This 5-month old printer prints a "Network Configuration Page" one after another whenever a cartridge shows a low ink warning. Only stops when the paper source is removed.or cartridge changed. Printer has been uninstalled and reinstalled with current downloaded driver. HP Pavilion a1710n computer, Vista SP2 OS, USB connection. Appreciate advice/cure!

WRT54GS - My laptop occasionally doesn't detect my network, but it detects others...HELP!

As the subject says, over the past few days, my laptop (HP Pavilion dv5-1003nr) occasionally fails to detect my network.
It will still detect networks from my neighbors, but I typically have to go and physically turn off the modem, wait and turn it back on for it to recognize it.
My laptop is situated approximately ten feet from the router, which sits on top of the cable box, below the television. Could the cable box and/or television be interfering with the router?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
