La carpeta WSN Gateway no se muestra en Add Targets and Devices

Hola, buenas tardes, estoy haciendo una red de sensores inalámbricos y ya logré la comunicación de la NI-9792 con el servidor y con los nodos. Lo único que me falta es hacer el proyecto en LabVIEW para comenzar a sensar, pero en la ventana de "Add Targets and Devices" no aparece la carpeta WSN Gateway. ¿Cuál podría ser el problema? Anexo imágenes con el ideal y con mi situación.

Hola Archie Flores,
         Lo más probable es que sea un problema de compatibilidad de software. En la siguiente página puedes consultar las versiones que están soportadas para el hardware que estás utilizando, así como para el mismo software. Asimismo, es importante que revises el orden de instalación correcto del software necesario.

         Una vez comprobado esto, puedes utilizar un ejemplo previo para ver si de esta forma puedes utilizar el hardware o te marca algun error. Los ejemplos los puedes obtener de los que se instalan junto con el software de National Instruments o el de la siguiente página.

I want to collect data from a WSN without having a computer in the very remote field location. For 1 measurement per minute, we don't need the power and cost of a RIO, or even a laptop at the remote location.
I want to use a 9791 gateway (with some 3202 WSN devices) in a remote field location, directly connected to the internet via a satellite link. I want to run a LabVIEW program on a computer back at the home office location. I plan to collect remote data locally on a LabVIEW VI without having a computer in the remote location.
Since the 9791 won't be on my same network domain back at the home office, how do i get MAX to find the 9791 ?
I have only used the 9791 on a local network, where MAX auto-detect is, well, automatic.

Hi Tim,
I'm still just exploring the possibilities, we haven't settled on the remote network hardware yet. One possibility is a satellite uplink to the internet, another is a cell phone data connection of some kind.
How do i create the new remote system in MAX, is it as simple as giving it an IP address ?
Will MAX be able to detect the NI hardware connected to the IP address ?

ISDN Gateway error message- What does it mean and what could be causing it?

I have a customer that is getting the following errors in the logs of his Cisco/ Codian ISDN Gateway: Any ideas of what they mean and what could be causing them?
I know Q931 is affiliated with Call Setup but not sure why an error would occur. Any help that can be provided is much appreciated, thanks.

I think I narrowed this down to having a network volume mounted with a share name of "Users". The strange thing is even you if unmount the volume you will still have problems. However, if you avoid mounting the volume entirely (from boot) it will be OK.
The solution, it appears, is to rename the sharepoint to something other than "Users". This worked for us. I'm not sure if it matters whether the server is Windows or Mac OS. In our case the sharepoint was an AFP volume on Mac OS.
We had other errors related to Bridge such as "unable to create folder" and the path in the message appeared to be /Users/currentUser/..... which made no sense at all. However, if Bridge was internally trying to use /Volumes/Users (the mounted sharepoint), it would not only not find "currentUser", but it would not have permissions to create that folder either.
So, another possible solution could be to grant file creation rights on the network volume "Users". Another not-so-great idea.

We have three different machines - one for IDM QA, one for IDM DEV and one remote machine where Sun IDM gateway is installed.
If we run the Dev and QA gateway on the same server, we won't be able to test any updates in an isolated environment before rolling out to QA..right?
Is it possible to have a Sun IDM gateway agent instance on the same remote machine? or do we have to install gateway separately on DEV and QA? Any ideas??

you are right. you won't have an isolated environment for testing. it creates interdependancy between DEV/QA environments.
on the other hand, if DEV or QA server goes down, you end up loosing both the enviroments Gateway. it creates a SPF ( Single Point Failure) and it's not a best practice to do so from archicture point of view if you indend to maintain HA ( High Availability) 99.99% up-time.

Since you have 3 different machines for 2 +1 Environments,
it is best practice to have
1. Seperate Gateway(s) for each Environment
1. For Dev, 1 For QA
so you have two isolated enviroments for testing, but also gives you the flexibility of keeping the QA Environment closer to Production possible without disturbing Dev

I have analized the generated code by the two OAS and I´ve noticed that on the version 10.1.3.3 the WSDL to reach the webservice is different from the 10.1.3.1 version. The 10.1.3.3 version adds a "SID0003011,33" on the section schemaLocation of the WSDL, while the version 10.1.3.1 it has schemaLocation="http://192.168.20.134:7021/
Any idea to solve this issue. Why this difference??

Y ya que tienes eso, cuando general el cliente del WS, por ejemplo si lo haces desde el jdeveloper, en vez de especificar el URL WSDL... especifica la ubicacion del archivo test.wsdl.

Verizon Quantum Gateway Router settings issue related to printing and wifi cameras?

I have a Verizon Quantum Gateway router and I just did a fresh install of Windows 8.1 Pro x64 and am downloading and installing my printer drivers. I connect the printer to the wifi network, 100% sure it is connected and settings are set to wireless lan. I've had this printer for a while. Doing the setup - it cannot find the printer.
Related: I bought a 2 pack of Motorola Focus66 wifi cameras to watch my dogs when I'm gone. I can connect to the cameras when I'm on my ipad's Verizon Wireless LTE connection, but when I'm at home connected to my same Verizon Fios wifi I cannot view cameras. Yes - the camera and apps support local and remote connections.
I have turned the firewalls all the way off and this does not fix the problems, so I'm believing it is in the router settings. Any suggestions?

I had a wifi network running at my house with a PC, Laptop, 5 iphones an iPad, and an XBox all running with no issues.. I got the "Upgrade" of the Gateway router and I can connect those devices to the network but WiFi printing is screwed up and Air Printing the apple devices is totally dead.. cannot see the printer. The customer support are completely a waste.. they suggested I pay for "Premium Support" At this point I've invested a solid 10-15 hours trying to get this setup and talking to Verizon and its just a mess.

Okay, my gateway laptop crashed about 2 months ago and Im saving up for a new Mac. I want to use my iPhone 4 on the Mac, but how do I do that with out wiping my phoen clean or without my old laptop too. And I am not tech savvy so I need step by step.

Let me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though.

How can I generate a real-time highchart from my database data?

I have looked several links; however, I couldn't find a working demo showing how to implement a highchart using data from a database.
Objective: I want to generate a real time highchart line graph getting data from my database. What I want is very similar to the
HighChart Demo which provides a real-time highchart with randomly generated values. It is also similar by X-axis and Y-axis, for I want my x-axis to be "Time" (I have a DateTime column in my database) and y-axis to be an integer (I have
a variable for that as well in my database).
Please I need help in sending the model data to my razor view.
Note that I am already using SignalR to display a realtime table. I also want to know if it can be used to automatically update the highchart as well.

Thank you for contacting National Instruments. Using the LabVIEW Real-Time module, you can do development without actually having a target. While viewing the project explorer window, you can do the following steps:
Right click on the project
Select New >> Targets and Devices
Select the "New Target or Device" radio button
Select the target you would like to develop on.Information about the LabVIEW Real-Time Module can be found here.

Deploy all option dont come in LabVIEW 2012

I am trying to get the understanding of WSN Dynamic Configuration, some steps given to make it real Time.But in thirld step in my LabVIEW2012 , Deploy All is not coming.
1) Set the NI 9792 IP address in the project.
2) Right-click the NI 9792 in the Project Explorer window, select New»Targets and Devices, and add all nodes to the project.
3) Right-click the NI 9792 in the Project Explorer window, and select Deploy All.
4) Enter node configurations on the front panel.
5) Run the VI.
Kindly Plz help me how can I get this option or its not necessary???

Configuring AS adapter

Hi all,
I have installed Siebel 7.8.2 in my system and configured the following:
1. Siebel Gateway Name Server
2. Siebel Server
3. Siebel Database Server
4. Siebel Web Extension Server
I have Oracle 10g(10.2.0.1.0) installed in my sytem with Oracle infrastructure application server, Oracle midtier , also Oracle AS adpater installed...
Now i want to configure my siebel database which is located in Oracle10g_home1
with Oracle as adapter... Now what should be done?
I have come across iBSE setting?
But what are the steps to be taken before configuring with that as i am getting error
as Siebel repository not present..
Also, sometimes i get could not conncet in 4 attempts...

when i right click on siebel and add target and provide the details it gives me following error:

Can USRP be used as a Gateway for NI-WSN Nodes

Hi everyone,
I am using NI-WSN kIT comprises of gateway(9792) and NI-WSN NODES(3202,3212,3226 all programmable) and i am also trying experiments with NI-USRP 2921 so i thought to replace NI-9792 REAL TIME ETHERNET GATEWAY with NI-USRP 2921 as it is also operating on same 2.4GHz.
Can USRP 2921 act as a gateway or Not? is this is possible please suggest.

The short answer is No.
The longer answer is that a WSN node uses a fixed function radio with a full protocal stack. The USRP is a general purpose radio covering a common set of frequencies however a fully functional turnkey stack does not exist. Could it be designed? Perhaps over the course of many focused man-years of development.
The USRP mostly used as a research device. Most research implements a small aspect of a protocol, ususally focused on the physical or MAC layer, and then customizes it and evaluates the results.
The right solution for WSN is a WSN gateway.

WSN 1.2 NI 9792 Security: Initial Setup? Default Username and Password?

Hello,
With NI WSN 1.1, using a 9792, I can click the Set Permissions button and if none had been set it would simply ask me for a new administrator password. Now, with NI WSN 1.2, when I click on the Set Permissions button it takes me to the 9792's web interface and says "Either no one is logged in or you do not have permissions to view/edit users, groups, and permissions." When I click the Login button, a box pops up and asks me for both a username and password. I scoured the release notes, help files, and the internet and it seems there is NO documentation on how to setup the very first username/password combination nor does it state what default username/password combination there might be. I also tried a brand new 9792 straight out of the box and loaded 1.2 on it and it has the same issue. Is there something obvious that I'm missing? How does someone initially set up security on the 9792?

Thanks for your post!
It looks like you are needing information on how to find out the log in information of your 9792. When using NI-WSN 1.1 we allowed users to set the initial password and this is still the case for the 9791. The 9792 is a NI-WSN node gateway as well as a LabVIEW Real Time target. Its default log in information can either be found in a Knowledge Base (KB) the LabVIEW help or MAX help. Are you using LabVIEW 2009 SP1 or LabVIEW 2010?
The default user name and password is the following:
username: admin
password: <blank>

Is it possible to receive signals from third party WSN nodes?

For the research on advanced WSN applications it might be beneficial to have a radio gateway being able to communicate with nodes of different manufacturers. For example programmable nodes using ZigBee or the Texas Instruments SimpliciTI protocoll. Is this technically possible with a NI Gateway?

This is not possible with the NI WSN Gateway, but there are LabVIEW drivers for several WSN vendors. You would need to include their gateway.
