Lab Deletion

Hi
We have defined labs earlier but those are not in use now, but the business is demanding to remove those Labs. is it possible to delete, i can see only option "Mark for Purge". other than that there is option to delete the Labs, can any one help me.
regards
scor

Hi Raj
Thanks for your reply! yes you are correct. the concern we have is the OPM is integrated with the mobile application few of the transactions are carried out in mobile applications. when we choose the labs during that time the Labs which are marked for Purge are appearing in LOV, but if we take the help of techincal team to purge the records. then i think the labs never be used again. but will oracle going to support to delete the labs which has past transactions data avaialable.
Plz suggest.

  • All proxy server settings in mac lab deleted possibly after a firefox update? How can I recover settings without manually doing on all machines?

Most (if not all) of my lab machines have lost their proxy settings...weird...has never happened before. Because the settings were in firefox, I assume it is because of a recent firefox update. First...is there any way to revert back to the previous settings so I don't have to manually reconfigure all users on all machines. Second...please make sure that this doesn't happen again when updates are implemented. Third...does anybody know anything about pushing out a proxy setting through ARD?

    Hi Ye,
I am afraid but the only way today is to delete your document without PA / Lumira.
By default, local files are stored at :
    User/Documents/SAP Lumira Documents
In this folder you'll see the list of all the documents you have created with SAP Lumira or SAP PA.
Delete the document that you don't want anymore and (re)start SAP PA.
The delete functionnality from the desktop tool is an idea accepted by the Labs (Delete Files in Lumira Desktop : View Idea), but not implemented yet.
    Hope it helps,

Could you re-configure the lab management?

  • Deleting SRS Labs/iWOW plug-in

I've got some Klipsch external speakers hooked up to my iMac, so I use iWOW from SRS Labs. Makes my iTunes songs sound great! I also have a MacBook Pro, and I migrated all my settings from the iMac to the MacBook Pro when I first bought it. Fine and dandy.
My problem involves launching iTunes on the MacBook Pro: when I first try to open it, I get a nag message from SRS iWOW informing me that my demo has expired, and would I please consider registering. Point is, I am a registered iWOW user, and have it installed on my iMac. When I launch iTunes on the iMac, I encounter no nag messages -- the MacBook Pro, however, is a different matter. I have searched high and low on my MacBook Pro, and can find no evidence of either iWOW, an SRS folder or an SRS/iWOW plug in which can promptly delete. Alas, I still get an SRS warning message on iTunes startup on the MacBook Pro!
So what can I do to solve this problem and remove all vestiges of iWOW on my MacBook Pro?

  • What is the best way to automatically delete user profiles after x days of inactivity (school lab environment)?

I work at a school where we have multiple Mac Carts that have 30 MacBooks per cart. We image the macs every summer to delete the older user profiles but we are looking for way to possible have this done automatically through out the year to help with HDD space. What is the best way to delete user profiles after...say 180 days.... of inactivity automatically? I am open to login hooks, bash scripts, etc. Anything to get the job done. Thanks for any help or advice.

A search here turned up this post Deleting inactive users
It appears that the script posted will do as advertised though I would test it out on your systems and under your conditions to see if it does do what you need.

  • How do I view the songs on my iPod and how do I delete some songs and pictures that are on my iPod through the new iTunes

I just bought an iPod off of a friend andher ex put alot of terrible music and pictures on it and I want to delete some music but I can't see what is on The iPod through the iTunes so I can erase music. So all I wanna know is how do I see and erase the stuff on my iPod using iTunes on my lab top

If you have iTunes 11 on your laptop then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC. You should then be able to connect the iPod and it should show on that left-hand sidebar, and underneath it should be a Music section e.g. similar to :
Select that and the music should be shown on the right-hand side of iTunes, which you can then use to delete it.
You should be able to remove all content from the iPod directly on it via Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings, as any apps etc that are on it will be tied to the previous owner's id - that will also remove any photos from the iPod

  • ISE 1.2 - cannot delete AD group

    Hi all,
I have a standalone node, ISE 1.2, in our lab which is joined to the AD.
By accident I added an invalid AD group, and when I try to delete the group and "Save Configuration", the ISE responds:
"Error: One or more of the groups being deleted are referred to by Authorization Policy Conditions."
However I cannot find any references to this group among the authorization policy conditions - so how can I remove the group?
    Kind regards,
    Lennart

    Walfors,
I know what you're saying. While deleting a newly added AD group. you're getting below listed error even though the group is not referred or called inside any rule or policy.
Error: One or more of the groups being deleted are referred to by Authorization Policy Conditions.
It seems like a cosmetic defect

  • Can't trash a download from my desktop. A message says because it  can't be deleted. I am using OS 10.7

I downloaded what I thought was a excel file on RRP prices. It is fastened solid onto my desktop and can't be moved.  I tried to move it to Trash but a message pops up stating that it could not be moved to Trash as it cannot be deleted. I ran a virus check of my desktop files but no virus was detected. I am using OS 10.7.5.   Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Have you tried a restart and then trying to trash the file?

  • Problem deleting a game and starting over

I use an iPad 4, and am kinda new to this stuff, so let me shoot out my question here :
I recently installed the game  "Hero Hunt" by Grey Area Labs, and since i made some mess ups in it, i am unable to continue playing it further, and i reached the point where i have to delete it and start it over, but am unable to do this since Game Centre keeps tracks of my progress in the game, and even if i re-install it, i continue from where i left off. I tried changing my Game Centre account too, but even if i install the game on a new different Game Centre account, the game still recognizes my old content (Is the game info stored on my iPad ? ) So is there any way that i can access the game from the starting ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

  • Finder in CoverFlow behaves incorrectly when you delete the top item

Put Finder in CoverFlow mode, delete the top item from the file list, observe that the Cover of the deleted item is still shown in the CovderFlow window but the "file name" has been deleted from the file list.  Scroll down and notice that the Cover shown for the selected item is ONE item out of sync.  If you close and reopen the Finder window you are once again in sync.  I have not checked if this happens with anything but the top item.  This makes things very confusing...I haven't found a fix for this yet...and ideas?

  • How to give myself permission to delete an application?

I found the application icon in Spotlight, and dragged it to the trash. I got an alert window that told me "Operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for DROD" (where DROD = Deadly Rooms of Death, a strategy game).
If it helps at all the path for two chunks I am trying to get rid of is: volumes/drod-2.0.13 and another is library/application support/caravel (more gobbledygook, quite long)
I own the computer, there is no question of my not being able to get the privileges, but I don't remember protecting or privileging the program in the first place. So where are the priviledges so that I can get this thing off my computer.
In my old Mac, OS 8.6 getting rid of stuff was as simple as finding where the icon was on the disk and dragging the whole folder into the trash. Folders from Spotlight don't respond to this, possibly because opening them out of Spotlight doesn't put them in a context where they are inside another folder so that the OS can tell that I am removing the contents instead of simply getting it off my desktop. How do I delete a whole folder's worht of stuff in OSX?
Are there any deinstall utilities for OSX?

Another possibility here: if you are using a "Standard" user account, then you do not have Read/Write access to the /Applications directory. Only Admin users have Read/Write access to /Applications. So, if you logged-in with your Admin account, you should be able to drag an application's icon from /Applications to the Trash.
However, not all uninstalls are so simple. See my "Uninstalling applications" FAQ for important advice on uninstalling software.
Finally, you wrote: "Are there any deinstall utilities for OSX?"Yes, but none that I'd trust. The advice in my previously-cited FAQ will serve you well.
    Good luck!

I'm in the same boat as you -- except that I manage both a school lab (volunteer job) and macs in the enterprise (pay job).  What I think we need is the Education Volume Purchasing Program
    http://www.apple.com/education/volume-purchase-program/faq.html
Unfortunately this all seems a little rough around the edges -- for example, I have found updates for AppStore apps on the support.apple.com updates download site, but then when I install them via ARD they don't actually update the software.  (The AppStore icons still show as needing the updates, and the version info reports the old version.)  The documentation is also vague about which AppleID to use in which circumstance.  I think they just haven't finished thinking through the implications of the various procedures and policies upon the various kinds of customers.  When we deployed Mountain Lion on the school lab, we made an install usb and went around and installed it on each computer -- and it appears that you are on the honor system as far as paying for all of the licenses that you install.  We did!  But they appear to have no way to enforce it.
So far, I have only deployed 9 Lion macs in my day job, and our "solution" to the AppStore showing updates problem has been to drag the AppStore icon off of the users' docks so they don't see them!
