CPU Top, Battery, Memory/Power Temperatures

I think that my computer gets too warm, and have brought it into Apple twice...however each time they tell me I am wrong. I downloaded the widget that tells me the CPU Top, Battery and Memory/Power temperatures, but I am unsure of what the normal temperature is. Can anyone help?

What are the temps?
Here are the temps (accroding to the iStat Pro widget) that my ibook is idling at right now, and this is pretty average.
CPU Top - 105F
Battery - 103F
GPU - 102F
Memory/Power - 105F
When I'm playing a game I will see the CPU Top and GPU get up to 140F and that's when the fans usually kick in.
The other day I was burning a 45 minute iDVD project with 4 menus and I saw the CPU Top get up to 150F. That was the hottest I've ever seen it get.
From what I've read this is pretty average.

Backup Battery Replacement HowTo

Has anyone posted a picture, a video, or even a clear set of instructions for replacing the battery in the BBU? My battery is positioned behind a molded plastic "hold-down" ridge, and there's not a lot of room to maneuver it, or even remove the connectors.

This may not be the exact setup you have, but the same principle will apply:
1.) First, make sure the screw on the right-hand side of the battery backup has been removed.
2.) Once you have removed the screw, grab the left-hand side of the cover panel. There are two tabs that must be pressed in.
3.) Once the tabs are depressed, pull the panel out and then up.
4.) This will expose the battery. There is a tab on each side of the battery. You don’t have to pull these apart, simply turn the battery to the side and slide it out.
5.) Once you have removed the battery, disconnect the leads from the top of the battery.
6.) Note: This process is not accurate for all types of BBUs currently deployed, but is close enough for all but MDU and SOHO installations

Laptop battery replacement options

I have an HP DV7 laptop with the extra capacity battery. It's the one with the hump that doubles as a 'lift' for the keyboard. My wife has a DV6 with the smaller battery that has lost most of its staying power. Can I replace her battery with one like mine, which has EXCELLENT battery life? The voltage is off between the two by about 0.3 volts so I'm hesitant to try mine in her computer but I would imagine that there is a voltage regulator to feed the same voltage to both motherboards and they use the same charger.
Does anyone know if this is OK to do?

James, the iPod is designed to sync with only one computer/iTunes library at a time. So before you can start adding new content to the iPod on a different computer, you'll need to restore the iPod to factory settings.

Hi,
Each battery has a label with information on it. Please check to see:
(a) Physically fit, make sure it won't cause damage to all connectors,
(b) Voltage: must be the same or no more than 5% both sides,
For wattage, normally a 8-cell battery is higher than a 6-cell battery and that is ok.

Tungsten E2 Battery Replacement

I ordered a replacement battery from pdaparts.com which was listed as an E2 replacement, however, the battery received was rated @ 3.7v and the OEM battery in my E2 is 4.2v. Seems like a mismatch, will it work and hold a sufficient charge?

Tungsten E Battery Replacement

I just replaced the battery on my Tungsten E and did a Hard Reset. Now the digitization screen comes up and the touch screen doesn't respond. Can I fix this?

Did the touchscreen work before you replaced the battery?
Did you make sure all cables were connected to the motherboard before you closed the case? You may want to double check your connections. If they are correct then the screen may have been damaged during the repair or it just stopped working.
There may be an issue with the screen.
