Label font size in System Preferences

Using Macbook Pro with Lion; the font size on certain applications is too large, and I cannot see any way to change this; its not a problem in programms like Word, Mail etc - but is apparent on Sys Preference pane (screen shot below) and, for example, on this Apple Support forum where the 'All Discussions' font is too large for the window(screen shot below.) Does anybody
have a solution?

    Hellow Fellow LabVIEW Lovers,

  • Change Labels font size

How to change the font size of labels, region header, page header...?

    Hello,
The easiest way is to add link a custom css file to override the standard fonts in the themes that are provided. Or if it's just a few pages and minor changes just add a custom style tag in the page header.
If you don't know anything about css take a look at this page.

  • Why do i have 148gb of used space that is labeled other in my system preferences?

My system info breaks down my hard drive into sections like apps, audio, movies, photos, and then a section called others. Is this just a lot of old data that I don't use? How can I permanently delete all the junk I dont need?

"Erasing" can mean different things depending on perspective.
Emptying the trash frees the space once occupied by the files in the trash. According to many refernces secure deletion of individual files on an SSD by means of OS X is not possible. At least, as in emptying the trash. All "Secure Delete" is doing is wasting time and possibly putting wear on the finite life of your SSD.
If you truly want security of your data, then encryption of the data is the most practical means. If unencrypted "erased" data is truly that sensitive, then don't transfer an SSD to an untrusted party. Otherwise you will need to use tools developed for Windows, but not ported to OS X.
I stopped stressing about the situation long ago. I don't plan on selling any of my MBA's with the original SSD's intact, if it ever becomes necessary. Which it probably wouldn't be.
Just erasing/deleting via the trash is all you need to do to free space though. (if that is what you are wanting to do)

  • How does one change the font size for folders and/or file lists in the Bookmarks Library?

How does one change the font size for folders and/or file lists in the '''Bookmarks''' Library?
Since the upgrade to version 9.0.1 of Firefox, the Bookmarks feature changes are confusing me. They seem to be confusing themselves as well. The list of bookmarks has changed. The font size is so small that my aging eyes cannot read it without fogging the screen with my breath. Some folders are out of alphabetical order (where I know they were previously good), and some are missing altogether (folders to which I frequently add references).
As for missing or deranged files or folders, was there something that I should have done or now need to do to recover those after the upgrade (or before)?
    With regard to font size,
    1. there is no “Edit Bookmarks” or like option to edit the list in this version
    2. the “zoom” option in the “view” list of functions is greyed out when in “Show All Bookmarks” window
    3. expanding the browser window has no effect on font size
    4. “Preferences” settings for font size has no effect in that window either, including advanced settings
    5. “Help” offers none that I can find.
    Can any of you Help?!?

    Maybe this extension helps:

  • Font size in Google results page is suddenly enormous

I have an older PowerPC G4 running Mac OS X 10.4.11 and Safari 4.1.3.
Yesterday, without changing or adding nothing at all, font size in the Google results page suddenly became huge. It looks terrible. This does not affect the main Google page, or the tools column to the left, or any other web sites. Just the Google results column. But since I'm a heavy user, I don't want to be exposed to hugely oversize text several times an hour, day in and day out.
Google preferences are correctly set -font size in this particular page remains normal in my other, newer machines. My standard font size in Safari preferences is 10 pt, but the the Google results column displays in at least 13 pt.
I have searched high and low for an explanation or a fix, and come up empty-handed. Has anyone else seen this, or know of a way to control font size in the Google results page/column?

What you are describing seeing is what I am seeing with 4.1.3 Safari here.
(Resisting an urge to gaslight the issue here. )
You might remove all Google cookies and see if there are any Google plist files that may be causing the problem.
Gonna add my screen grab as well:

  • Font Size in Program

I just bought and installed Pro 5.5, and I can't read it. The font size is incredibly tiny. The font size is Ok on computer #1 running XP and NM 4.9. The font size was OK on laptop running Vista and NM 4.9. The font size was OK on computer #2 running Windows 7 and 4.9. Font size was still OK on computer #2 running Windows7 and free download of NM. (Shared folders from Computer #1 began disappearing intermittently when viewed from Computer #2, so I downloaded from web with my 4.9 key--and it was the free trial) With my new install, I have tried ctrl-scroll to increase the font size, but nothing changes. I looked through the menus with a 4x magnifying glass and my nose stuck to the screen, but could find nothing to change font size. 4.9 on computer 1 indicates themes are available, but only in the pro version. Pro version on #2 does not offer themes. I had hoped themes would include a bigger print version. (Thank goodness installing/activating pro on #1 from #2 did not happen, or I could not read anything--although I may be SOL next time I reboot #1,) If support for NM actually existed, I am sure they would tell me to change my screen resolution, but that would screw up everything else I own. That is not an option. Windows7 has much of the functionality I need built in--but only if all my computers were on Windows7--not feasible. Maybe somebody out there who is younger than 69 with better eyesight can find an option to help me out so I can read the _ software. Networking hardware is not relevant to this problem--and I sure can't read the properties through NM 5.5!

You set the font size in Mail preferences to suit your own needs.  That does not affect what the recipient sees.  To do that you have to select your text in the New Message pane and reset the font to TNR 12, if that is what you want to go out.

  • Change array index font size using VI scripting

    Hello All,
I have a array control in my front panel, I'm wondering is there any way to change that "array index" font size using VI scripting?
    Example:
    1. I have this array
    2. Manually I have changed the font size of the array in "Selection Font" panel as below
    3. Through VI scripting I'm able to control control font size, label font size.,.. But not the index font size. So it looks odd.
    4. I'm expecting to be modify this array as same as picture 1 through VI scripting.
Note: It may not have any practical application, but some time it will be helpful for the programmers to make a quick drop. If anybody have any idea, please share.

Raven - you are right, Actually I'm looking for options to change the font size of the array index.
Actually we have coding standard to follow. In that, all the front panel controls needs to be in Font size 14 and the size should be 25X120, so I'm trying to write a code which automatically converts the VI FP control sizes to be in standard size.
I'm not only using one customer VI, I'm handling various customer VIs, so each one VI FP control sizes are different. So I'm developing this utility to standardize the VI's as per the guidelines we have.
Except this array index most of the VI FP control elements I have handled, Only this array is troubling me.
Appreciate your support guys, please share your thoughts.

  • My photoshop font size is too small

    Hi,
I have a question about my Photoshop font size. I don't know why just this installed software shows magically small font and icon to see what is happening. I really want to fix this, so I don't have to stay so close to my screen to see it....
I have tried to re-install and other applications seem to be just the right size.

  • Tab control label "font" property node

    Hi!
I am trying to manage font dimensions of different controls.
I am using property nodes, and it is simple to find the font part in the list of properties you can choose, both the label font part and the different contents fonts (boolean text, numeric text, string, etc...).
However, when I search for the property used to manage the font of the pages labels in a tab control, I am not able to find it.
Can anybody tell me where to find it? Or is this property just not available for the property nodes?
    Thank you!

  • Printing font size

Having problems with the print font size being extremely small. Increasing the message font size in the preferences pane will increase display font, but not the print size.

  • Setting font size?

    Hi,
    1) Setting the font size in Safari>Preferences>Appearance appears to be useless. Safari Help says the font size setting there only applies to web pages that don't set their own font size, which appears to be 0% of the web pages I visit.
    2) Setting the minimum font size in Safari>Preferences>Advanced by checking Universal Access and specifying a minimum font size works, but the results are not very good. If I set the font size to 18, which is not unreasonably big, then text on different lines overlaps, and there are other more minor problems with some text escaping borders.
    3) Clicking on View>Make Text Bigger (or more convenient: dragging a font icon onto the toolbar and clicking that with the mouse) works almost perfectly. Even when you increase the text size many times and make the font size much bigger than 18, the text on different lines doesn't overlap. Everything on the page appears to increases in size proportionally. Unfortunately, with this method you have to click on Make Text Bigger every time you launch Safari.
Why can't the minimum font setting in Universal Access (described in 2 above) do the same thing as Make Text Bigger? I also wonder why Safari's default is such tiny text? I would imagine the demographic for Apple user's is older than pc users, and yet you don't see such tiny default settings in IE.
After trying 2) for a few days, I can't stand it anymore, so I've resorted to clicking on the Make Text Bigger icon I dragged onto my toolbar (View>Customize Address Bar).

CSS is getting in the way of your Safari preferences
and no way to get around it.
I'm wondering how that can be? When I use Firefox or IE6 on a pc, I don't have to click on a Make Text Bigger icon every time I launch a browser window. If Safari can render the page with a bigger font size after I click a button, then Safari should be able to do the same thing by reading a setting.
    Simple fix?
    Command-+ to enlarge
    Command-- to reduce
I don't use keyboard shortcuts. I find them bothersome.

  • Safari font size changing as if by magic !

while using Safari on my new al macbook , the font size will just change, seemingly on its own, if I close the window and reopen, it will return to the font size set in Preferences. Does anyone know what is going on? thank you joanlvh

as far as I can tell there is no pattern, it might happen on Huffington Post in the am, but not in the pm, the computer is just 3 days old so I don't think i can put the blame on History or Cache, this is the 5th apple laptop i have had in 3+ years and I have never seen this occur before, It seems, can't be sure to happen when I click the curser and the cursor is in the top right area of the screen. It is only happening with safari, not Mail or other applications, I have set the Safari Preferences for text size.
ps scratch the right corner idea, it just happened when I was typing and the cursor was in the bottom left and I did not click but started to move the cursor
