Single Purchase order - Single item no- Single transport PAckage
and
Single Purchase Order- Single item no-Multiple transport Package
in Shipment terminology?
Is there any field for Transport package.?

I'm not quite sure I understand your question. Respondents (fillers of the form) cannot edit the label of a field.

Labels on Forms are not maintaining positions when viewed on a different computer

I have a project with 14 forms. The labels for the text boxes are perfectly aligned on one machine, yet when I run the project on a different machine (same screen resolution and all fonts available) many of the labels are no longer left- or right-aligned
as designed. I have experimented with changing the Autoresize settings (using Font, DPI, etc.) for the forms as well as the text alignment settings for the labels themselves, but they don't fix the problem. I am using Visual Basic (Net 4.5) in
Visual Studio 2013. Any ideas??

Hi DrDon81,
According to your description, the labels on forms are not maintaining positions in different machines.
I suggest you disable the AutoSize(set to false).
Or you could put the label in a panel or similar, then use Dock instead of just Anchor property.
If it still not working, you could share a little sample which can reproduce the issue. we could help you better.

Undefined characters in labels of Form

I give Russian names to labels of Form after saving a Form and running a Form text in label are undefined characters.
I try encoding of Internet Explorer but this is not help.
I use Oracle Portal 3.0.9 Database 8.1.7

But reports is working I give Russian names to labels of Reports and this is work.But why Portal Forms is not working.I think it's bug.

Multilangual issue : labels in forms and reports

We are using Portal 9.0.2.6 in English, French and Dutch. Is there any way to have the report column labels or form labels dynamically translated, instead of writing a separate portlet for each language ? I found somewhere in the report package body that a call is being made to wwv_user_lang.lang(<column label>).

Is there anyway I can make a link on the "value" and not the label (detail form)

I have a master-detail form (within an appl) based on 2 real
tables in a master-detail FK relationship.
The detail block displays 6 rows. Currently you can only place a
link on the label on top of the block.
What I need is to make let's say tha actual value of lastname in
each row display as a link, something like:
rec.lastname_value
I also need to pass the actual ID of that row in the URL used by
href. I know that you could do it in custom "sql", but do not
know how to make my form do that.

You can write HTML to Label text field e.g.

Or you can create custom label template

Underlined labels in forms

Strange behaviour. I have form with underlined labels, this appear correctly when work in client/server mode, in case this is run in web server labels are not underlined !
As anyone idea how to solve this ????

PS environment is Oracle 8.1.6 and developer form 6.0

Forms is base on a version of Java which does not support underlines in Fonts. This is a restriction of java.

Hello Experts,
We are using EP 7.0.18 WPC 18
I have created a custom web form for WPC and done KM configuration. It works fine. We already had some custom web forms which are used.
For building a bundle file. I have downloaded the par file which we had on portal and imported it to NWDS. Added the three entries for the form I created.
The entries in WPC.properties file
cod.xlbl.wpc_custonlinklist=custom link list
cod.xtit.wpccustomlinkist=custon link list
xmlb_wpccustonlinklist=custom link list
xmlb_wpccustonlinklist=custom link list this label has been sucessfully replaced. But, cod.xtit.wpccustomlinkist=custon link list
label still shows up as

I was deploying par file without source. After deploying it with source. it worked.

How to set column width for Label in Form region?

In the form region, the label value is a lengthy text, and it does not wrap. How do I make it wrap to a fixed column width?
Under Home>Application Builder>Application>Page>Edit Page Item,
i have set "HTML Table Cell Attributes" to width="300", but it still does not wrap. and pushes the field to the right end of the page.
I am quite sure there are better ways of doing this.

I had set the label template to "Optional" and that was forcing a "nowrap". After unsetting the template, I used your suggestion and it works like a charm. Thanks.

HTML 5 Contact Form "Placeholder" instead of label makes form validation not work

Hi,
I am trying to implement a HTML 5 contact form which uses a "placeholder" within the field instead of a label. But now the form validation does not work.
The site is at http://www.partnerrealestate.ch/avenuedefrance23/index.html and it is not using any workflows from BC as the person receiving it is an external person and the process does not require a workflow.
Would appreciate any input into this.

There is no label on input fields. The form does not work because you have edited the names. BC needs the ID and names to be as it is issue when you create the form so it knows what to use for the validation and what information to pass into the database.
So where you have edited these, you need to restore those.
You have some invalid html on some input's as well one has input="" inside of it when rendered so that is not right.
It is not to do with placeholder use. So fix up your HTML errors, correct the name and ID changes and it will work fine.

How to position label above form element?

I have a simple search form and a report displaying the search result.
I don´t like the way the labels are positioned in the search form. I want the labels to be positioned above the the form elements, e.g. a listbox. I can´t find any setting that makes this happens. Anyone?

That sounds odd, you can position a label wherever you want by setting the relevant "Horizontal / Vertical Alignment" property. And in case you don't get exactly what you want you can always change the label template to suit your needs.

Link a Form Field to new Text Field

PDF - form field
Looking for a code to link a form field(text_1, on page #5) to
another, new form field(text_2, on pages 2-4).
Maybe a "Page Properties" action (i.e., Page Open: field text_2 = field text_1)

Why....
busy but here's why
In the PDF, there are Form fields on page 5 which interface (externalinterface) with an RMA ( a SWF) on page 2.
This all works well.
As the form fields must be carried forward (from page 5 to page 2... to interface the RMA),
the orignal page 5, From fields are copied to pages 2-4 and then "Hidden".
Again, this works just fine.
A reset "action" (button) was added to, well, clear the Form Field for easy reuse.
The reset ''action' does it's job and clears ALL form fields with the same "Name".... on every /all pages.
This causes the dynamic interface, with the RMA, to display blank fields (within the SWF).
This will effect the User's experience.

Work aound.....
Find a way to label the Form Fields (page 5) so that "only they" are reset, and no others.
Create a link of Form Field inputs on page 5 (with names... x,y,z),
to new Form Fields pages 2-4 (with a differnet names... a,b,c).

Type an account number into the Enquire table to get Client and Contact
Formula in B2 (and Fill Right)

Formula is
=INDEX(Database::D,MATCH(Enquire::$A2,Database::A,0))
All together:
Change it around if you want to look up by Client instead of Account

Dynamic Forms in ES processes

I have a few questions about how best to handle a few things in a form I am working on in Designer ES. I am hoping to use out-of-the-box services for as much of this as possible.
* I have a dropdown (DropDown1) which will be populated from a database. Now, the content of my next dropdown (DropDown2) is dependant on the choice the user chooses for DropDown1. The options for DropDown2 are also in a database. Ideally, I'd like to have the data for DropDown1 prepopulated wen the user first opens the form. But what is the best way to populate DropDown2 after DropDown1 has been chosen? Do I preload all of the options when the form is rendered and just bring up the ones I need on a change event on DropDown1? Or can I query ES when I need the info?
* In another part of the form, I have a dropdown for a list of applications (the list is in a database). For each application, I have a different set of data I need to request from the user (i.e for Application A, I need to know installation location and serial number, for Application B, I need to know serial number, a date needed and a username, etc). So I'd need a customized subform for each applciation. Is there a way to say, bring in a form fragment from the Resources in ES and insert it into my subform on the fly when on a change event on the DropDown?

Here is a quick example.

Dynamic forms in AIR/Flex

OK, this is another of those "Is AIR the right tool for the job" questions. And I have zero previous exposure to Flash/Flex, just doing a fast forward through all available information, to reach an assessment.
The app in question is mainly a vanilla database client (server component exists and has a ReSToid HTTP interface). It involves task lists, forms, all the ususal stuff and is glueing together a bunch of other (pre-existing) apps on the client which are to be spawned from the glue app.
In contrast to the legacy app which is to be replaced, the database structure shall be customizable per customer site and consequently have custom edit forms.
Now, how to implement custom, dynamic forms in AIR/Flex? It seems logical to store the forms together with custom table in the database, but in which format? It is impossible to just store MXML forms, as Flex is a compiled language and I didn't find a hook to pull in extra MXML from an external source.
Is there a Flex component turning an XML description of a form into a form on the screen, as mx:FlexNativeMenu can turn XML into a menu?
Or am I looking into the wrong direction? It seems an AIR/Ajax soulution would be able to just pull the custom form in HTML from an external source and use it. But AIR/Flex is looking to be the friendlier and more productive environment....
