for secondary window :
right click on window ->create template--> go template tab
under template create TEXT node in that label is hard code
For main window:
right click on window ->create table line-->table tab
under template create TEXT node in that label is hard code

Rotation of label using smartforms by 90 deg using zebra printer

Hi,
I am facing one problem using smartforms for label printing. Since the zebra printer which is being used requires 90 deg rotation of form for the normal smartform design. I have even tried using ZPL commands by using ^FWR command in the window attributes but the text within that window only gets rotated and each line gets overwritten on one another. Please let me know if it s possible to rotate the complete form in smartform for label printing using zebra printer.

Dynamic Label Prnting -Smartforms

Hello all ,
I have to print more than N number of labels, 10 on each page. In these 10 labels, first 5 lables should come on left side and remaining on right side of the page. Again this should repeat in the next page. Please note that the content in all the labels is the same one. I have copied standard SAP Print program RVADTR01

Unable to print address labels in SMARTFORMS.

I am facing a problem during the printing of address labels from table ADRC in SMARTFORMS.
I would like describe my issue in detail.
In my Global Defininations, I have Types---->
TYPES:
BEGIN OF fs_adrc,
   date_to    TYPE adrc-date_to,
   addrnumber TYPE adrc-addrnumber,
   date_from TYPE adrc-date_from,
   name1      TYPE adrc-name1,
END OF fs_adrc.
In INITIALIZATION,

I have declared three main windows.
Under my First Main window,
I have created a LOOP node and Text node also.
Now, In the Text node -
> General Attributes.
I have dragged and dropped my fields from the field list.
Now, the main problem is that the Address records are printed but not in form of LABELS but are printed as a normal list.
I am also not able to link those 3 main windows together in order to continue the addresses on those windows.
I mean to say, that whenever the first address is printed on the First main window, then the next address should be printed on the Second and the similar for the Third one.
This feature is easily possible in SAP scripts, but I am not able to get the way to do it.
Hope my situation is clear, Or if any more steps are required do let me know.

Uploading Bartender Label To Smartform. Please Help!

Hello Abap Gurus. I am in need of help with my current requirement. My requirement is to create a packing list smartform and then a label from the Bartender software. The first page of the smartform will have the packing list and I want the second page to contain the label created from the bartender software. The client wants the packing list program and label to print at the same time. So I created the packing list smartform already and I have created z print programs for RLKOMM40 & RLVSDR40. I have never used the Bartender software before. My question is how do I upload the bartender label to my smartform. The bartender label is currently in .btw format, but can be exported in .itf format. I was advised to upload the .itf format via transaction SO10, but I don't know what I should do next. Please help as this requirement is urgent. I will award points accordingly.

On the smartform you can use the uploaded label with tcode so10.
just open you smartform and create a graphic, and the put the uploaded name there, you can look for the information with the matchcode help.

What ichat does is this.
Starting with a TCP login on port 5190 on TCP by default it connects to the AIM Servers.
It gets info back on this and the UDP Protocol on port 5190 for the Buddy List. (I restated the Port number as you can change the login in port)
So you have your Buddy List.
Double clicking on a Buddy's Video icon send them the Visible Invite on port 5678
As far as I can tell this bit is Peer-to-Peer..... But
Almost at the same time iChat moves to port 5060 in ichat 3 and Earlier and contact the SNATMAP Server.
In Leopard/iChat 4 this is done on port 16402 as first choice.
The Buddy's iChat does the same thing (almost before they have accepted the invite).
From here iChat 3 tells SNATMAP which 4 ports it is willing to use for the Audio Only or Video chat. (Starts at the lowest of 16384-16403 and uses them in groups of 4 ports meaning if the any of the first are not available it moves to the next for)
The process it uses in "STUN-like" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simpletraversal_of_UDP_overNATs
Apple claimed at one stage that they did not know about STUN and created their Own similar process.
So basically SNATMAP "Negotiates" which ports both ends are willing to use and then connects them and then drops out leaving you Peer-to-Peer.
In Leopard iChat 4 this is one port (16402 as first choice)
Part of the reason for this is that Apple decided that iChat filled the criteria for a VoIP app when it first went A/V
This at the time used the 4 SIP port (5060-5063 on UDP) which is why you need the STUN-like process.
(At some point it will be technically possible that iChat and the iPhone could do full on SIP/VoIP connections as Apple's SNATMAP sever is a SIP server).
As you note it can be difficult to encourage people to open up Log files as they pop up as they are not aware you can do both - read them and send them.

Problem with printing barcodes to a Zebra printer via Smartform

Hi
I am trying to create a printed label from smartforms, being directed to a zebra printer. The label must include a barcode.
Via oss notes 750002 and 750772 I have imported the LZEB2 device type.
In SE73 I have created a system bar code on the new technology.
In the smart form style, I create a character type with this barcode font.
The barcode prints okay and can be read when it has up to 10 characters.
However we need a long bar code of appoximately 22 characters.
I can find no supported barcode type which will let me write a barcode of this length
The max length in the smartform style for the barcode format is always coming up as 50mm which is too short.
I have tried with using a printer bar code prefix and suffix with the native zebra ZPI-II commands, attaching to command nodes on either side of the text node in the smart form, But this does not seem to work.
Any advice ?

sounds like the variable containing the barcode data is too short...is it at least 22 characters long?

Hi,
There are two types are barcode existing in sap like system barcode and printer barcode. Use Tcode SE73 to create any of those.
If you want to create your own customized barcode then you have to opt system barcode. Here while creating barcode it will ask whether to create new barocde or copy of existing barcode.
However by taking into consideration your requirement, you have to create system bar code.
Goto SE73->System barcode->change-> create new barcode->New barcode technology.
Here you have to mention barcode name and short text. then supported barcode symbology like C39,C128, code93 etc.
After selecting any of the symbology, you have to choose Bar Code Alignment: like normal. inverted, etc. Then specify other barcode parameters like height,width, barcode ratio etc.
Then try to print any text element with this customized barcode as per your requirement.
Like you can print text element with smartform style, here you can include your customized created barcode in character format. While creating charactor format, give name of your customized barcode in standard setting->name.
Then print text element by using smartform style.

We do not need /E option in smartform since we can make use of program lines and write the code as we write it in se38. here we do not have any elements nor we make use of them as we do it in scripts..we used to make use in scriots since we need to code for a window separtly and call by means of /E but know we need not need it rather create progam lines in window where u want to wite the code and use it . It works similar to the /e...try this.

Barcode Label Designer

I am having a requirement to print Barcode labels on an Intermec 3400E printer from SAP. I am on the looking for a label designer to create the labels and to upload into SAP. I am considering two designing tools , Bartender Label Software V9.0 from Seagull Scientific and LabelShop Pro with ERPLabel from Intermec. I like know the pros and cons of the above tools and how easy to develop labels and deploy in SAP. Also like to know whether we can design the labels using smartforms and print on the Intermec 3400 Printer.

I opted for Bartender Enterprise V9 for creating the label and used the print server for printing.. The solution is like this. The contents to be printed from SAP will be send to a ftp site using an ABAP program where the Bartender Print commander looks for print files. Print commander then send it to the specified printer .

Difenentiate labels by serial number

Hi All,
I am able to create barcode labels on smartforms, but i want to differentiate the labels by serial number, how it can be done.
For Ex: today i have taken 25 labels printout, the serial number should be 1 to 25, for the next set of labels it has to start with 26, 27... so on.
How it can be done in smartforms. Need ur assistance.

hi,
This is not correct, it is possible to create labels using smartforms.
The output for a label is not created any differently to any other form, the difference is only the dimensions of the output. A label is usual some sort of sticker that is attached to a package or material identifying either the contents or its destination.
It is also common to produce labels using third party software (Zebra is a well-known one) and in this case your SAPscript or Smartform passes raw data and the software formats the label.

Label printing is not possible in the case of smartforms.
It is possible in the case of scripts.
In order to set output of smartform as html.
try this.... in the form attributes->output options->output format.
In the output format we have xsf output+html.
select that and try it.

Getting One Extra Blank Page

Hi All,
I am printing labels thru smartforms. For eg. my internal tablei have 3 line items
so these 3 should be printed in 3 different labels. And I am getting the correct output also. But after that 3 label prints one extra blank page is coming.
What could be the reason.
I have used loop for the data.
loop - for showing continuous data.
program line - used to calculate number of entries i have in the table. I have already counted the total entry in my print program
and passing it thru Form interface-import parameters.
command line - for explicit page break in the table after each line item.
Kindly guide what could be the reason for this blank page.

If you run a page break after each line, it is normal that a blank page is published at the end. Do not ececute page break on the last record
