Labor time

Hi,
I my production process we calculate the labor cost.
I am having a workcenter which is a labor workcenter in which 3 labor will be working.
it takes the 3 min to prodse 1ea of an output.
since it is a labor workcenter in the caplacity tab I maintained the individual capacity as 3 since there are three labor working.
My standard value keY is sap1
which has setup machine and labor time.
i maintained my routing times as setup=0    machine =0   and labor =3.
my scheduling formula is SAP03.   the labor cost is $12 per HR.
till now I have no problem..
but while costing the product.
its taking the cost of product as   material cost + labor cost for 3 min.
but i am having 3 labor in my workcenter.
3 people are working for 3 min each so the total labor time of 9min should be costed.
if i change my routing time to    setup=0    machine =0   and labor =9.
the order will be scheduled for 9 min which is wrong.
how to solve this problem.

I understand that U need that the Cost in you Order for your 3 labors equal to 9 minutes but not in your time for scheduling, right?
Into the formula that you are using, there are 4 parameters:
Labor
Op. qty.
Base qty
Splits
But this formula is in use for the scheduling, I recomend that you use other formula into the Costing View in your WorkCenter, with other parameters, side next to the Activity Type field.
This is cause the Scheduling Formula is using the parameters in reference to the Qty's for you order, and the formula in the Costing view, just use the data for the costing.

you mean the labor time in routings or recipes ? There are some reports as CA51 that list the routings for a plant but it is not specific, as the labor time is not a fixed parameter but depend the way you define the work center. The labor time can be the first , second, etc. standard value in the operation.

Can i change labor time in CO15?

Hi experts,
We have a product with 5 operations, each operation has labor time, totally is 12 hours in standard value. We don't want to use CO11N to do confirmation operation by operation. So i tried to use CO15 to confirm the whole order.
The problem is in CO15, i can't find a place to confirm the total labor time. because the total labor time is variable, e.g. 13 hours sometimes, not the same as the standard.
The other question is, does the "execution start/finish time" impact the costing?

Harvey,
You cannot edit the operation time in CO15 transaction since this transaction is applicable at order level and not at operation level. You can do the same in CO11N trx.
And yes, the changes in the hours get reflected in the costing of the order.

Labor time report at each individual level

I want to take report on each individual employee labor hours based on the time confirmation they did thru IW41, Is there any standard report available???? we dont have activity types as we are not settling cost for the inhouse labor but doing time confirmation as we need ot track the time. Any help guys.

Try using IW47 and grouping by work centre, then summating the hours
Alternatively, download to Excel and create your own macros

Oracle Time and Labor time entry

In Oracle Time and Labor on-line time entry (Timecard) screen I need to record end user's system's time as time-in and time-out i.e. user should not be able to modify the timing details.
Can OTL possibly meet above requirement. An urgent response will be highly appreciated.

Report showing labor and machine time based on standard cost estimate

Hi Friends,
Ours is an Manufacturing organisation & we have a requirement of report showing machine and labor time as per part wise & cost center wise. We need to run the report before saving standard cost estimate [CK11N] in order to see the part wise or cost center wise discrepancies in machine and labor time. If any one could help in creating such report in SAP it will be of great help.

The own report can be implemented via (SMOD) enhancement SAPLXCKA
The report will be handed over the currently displayed in the program interface.

Labor Hours and Machine Hours

Hi everyone,
Our manufacturing operation involves injection molded parts that have labor time and machine time structured. As operations department, we receive a daily schedule per molding machine we have but such schedule shows only the amount of parts to be produced and not its equivalent in machine and labor hours based on its routings. Basically we receive a list of Planned Orders to be produce in a daily basis with parts only.
In a previous experience in Oracle there was a report showing the order, parts, labor time and machine time requiered.
Is there a report in SAP that can reflect the same data?
Currently we are looking up into a routings spreadsheet but the problem is that is not accurate because routings may change for multiple reasons.

This is possible in SAP also. But this needs enabling PP and timebooking functionality in HR.
In PP along with CO, the machines or the PRT are created as cost centers and teh costs will accrue to these cost centers. Similarly teh cost of the materials can also be accrued on a cost center. The labour hours can be captured by means of timebooking and linking every employee to a work center whichis again linked to a cost center. If these functionalities are enabled, then it is possible to see all the costs, activities and schedules used for an order, may it be production order, assembly order, or a service order.

Confirmation and down time

Hi,
My client wants to capture down time of machines. For example, suppose one production order says to manufacture 10 quantities of a product. it has 4 operations. operator1 confirms first operation. In co11n he confirms 10 quantities. while doing this operation there was power failure for 10 minutes ( for example).
Q1. My question is where and how does he mention that he has worked for 25 minutes in total for that operation1 and in that, 10 minutes was wasted due to power failure!
Q2. After finishing operation1 , he starts with next operation. But before he could start machine broke down for 5 minutes. he repaired himself and started his work. Now where will he mention that before he could start his operation 2 machine was not working for 5 minutes?
Guys hope I have been able to explain my query. Please think over it and give me a solution. Please do not say PM module is required( we dont have PM module here).
Please tell what all I need to put inputs in CO11n screen to address this requirement. Is there any other screen where I can put data?

Referring to my scenario which I mentioned previously, in CO11N, set up , machine and labor time will be come up if i press 'actual data'. Now I will change it to actual set up, machine and labor time. Till here it is ok..
Now under Dates tab:Operator will put execution start date and execution finish date. Till here its ok. Now suppose for operation 0010 , operator has taken 10 minutes to job and downtime was 20 minutes, so will he mention start time as for example 09:00:00 and end time as 09:30:00?? ( this will include 10 minutes of his actual work and 20 minutes of machine down time).And then in Breaktime he will mention 20 minutes and long text he will say machine break time due to so and so reason?
Now next scenario, before operator starts his second operation there was breakdown for 15 minutes minutes. he repaired it and started his 0020 operation.he took 25 minutes. In this case, in confirmation screen of opeartion 0020, he will put start time say, 09:45:00 and end time 10:05:00. he will put Break time 15 minutes and reason in long text.
Please let me know if I am going correctly? Moreover at any stage does he has to go and select Reason for variance?
My basic doubt is how to put timings and in second scenario wherein machine breakdown was before start of second operation , will it be captured in first operation or second operation and the way I have explained above is correct or not?
Now when I have put actual set up, machine and labor time , why the need to again go in execution start and finish date and time entry?

Labour time in variant configuration

Hi all,
my problem is this:
i would like to calculate the labour time with procedures. I created the char t_vgw03 referenced to PLPO-VGW03 and assigned it to my class.
i created 2 different procedures
table t_silver (c010 = c010, t_vgw03 = $self.t_vgw03) .
table t_opt (c011 = c011, t_vgw03 = $self.t_vgw03) .
and assigned both to an operation.
According to http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/EN/92/58c3a1417011d189ec0000e81ddfac/frameset.htm the quantity calculated in each procedure should be summed in vgw03.
this not happens!!!!!
the value inserted in vgw03 is only the last one.
Any idea???

Hi,
The second procedure is overwritting the Labor time inferred by First Procedure that's why you are getting the Labor time of last one.
I understand that you want to add the labor time from 2 tables and it should infer through procedure....If that is the case then you can follow this
1) Create 2 new char t_Char1 and t_char2
2)Add these char in the tables
3) Add these char in Class
2) Create new procedure with coding and assign to the operation
table t_silver (c010 = c010, t_char1 = $self.t_char1),
table t_opt (c011 = c011, t_char2 = $self.t_char2),
$self.t_vgw03 = t_char1 + t_char2

Differences between Time ticket (CO11N) and Time Event (CO19)

Could you please briefly explain differences in between Time ticket (CO11N) and Time Event (CO19) during Prd Ord confirmation?

In my understanding CO11N, is generally used to confirm the production execution at operation level or sub operation level or
normally for milestone operation confirmation.Automatic Goos movement can also be performed when this T Code is executed.
There is no track of exact setup start time,end time,execution start time and end time.
Using CO19,we can track the or post the exact or actual setup start time,setup end time,processing start time,end time for each
operation.

Every confirmed time event is assigned internally to a record type group:
Setup times are assigned to record type group 1.
Processing times are assigned to record type group 2.
Teardown times are assigned to record type group 3.
Each record type group can be assigned to one or more parameters in the standard value key for the work center (for example machine time). (See Customizing in Production ® Basic data ®Work center ® General data ® Standard value ® Define standard value key). The link between time event and parameter ensures that the calculated duration counts as an activity (for example, when calculating the actual costs of the operation.
The processing of an operation requires both machine time and labor time. The time event confirmation for the processing section of the operation can take effect on activity u2018machine timeu2019 and on u2018processing timeu2019, if you enter record type group u20182u2019 for the parameters u2018machineu2019 and u2018laboru2019 in the standard value key.
You can only confirm quantities when you confirm processing time events.
You can only confirm activities that cannot be assigned to a particular record type group (Set-up, processing, teardown) by using the time event u2018Variable activityu2019. The confirmed value is assigned to corresponding value in the standard value key parameters.

Production Down Time costs.

1.How to record Production order down time when a workcenter is down. The reason for this is to find out how much time the production order is delayed because of machinary problem. does that cost should go to Production Order or to Cost Center. If Cost center how to post the cost directly to Cost Center.

Hi,
When a workcenter is down, the cost center must already be accruing the expenses involved. For instance, let us say a work center is down for a day. For that day, the labor, utilities expenses etc.. involved must already be getting collected in the cost center, to which the work center is assigned.
Alternatively, if you want to allocate those costs to the production order, you should book the entire activities (say actual labor time) consumed, i.e say if the downtime is one day book the entire 24 hrs to the order. The activities in turn would post OH to the order, if OHs are calculated based on activities.
But in many cases the downtime may not have been caused by the prodn. order. It is the cost center which would have been responsible for the downtime.. So, the option of leaving the costs to remain the cost center is better. The additional costs incurred will show up in the cost center as variances.

Find total processing time from routing

I'm writing specs for creating a production scheduling report for sales orders. I'm stuck at finding the relevant tables and fields for this particular calc. I want to find the processing time from routing.
Total Processing Time (if Procurement type = u201CEu201D, then all operations from tasklist/Routing Operations for the material number) = Setup Time + (Machine time * Operation Quantity) + (Labor time * Operation Quantity)

Tear Down Time in W/C

Dear All ,
Can any one explain me what is tear down time in W/C, as far as i know this is labor time,if we are maintaining tear down time as labor time then what is the logic of maintaining separate category for labor. am confused in this can any one help me in this.

You are mentioning tear down time as breakdown.
How can we predict breakdown time.As its instantly will happen and we dont know how much time it will take to bring back the machine to normal operation.
Actually tear down time is after operation to remove the object /tools/jigs from machine, it will take some time..this is called teardown time.

Time booking against prod order

Hi,
You will have to configure the resource such that you have the standard value key to capture the operator hours. So when you do the confirmation of the operation, you can maintain the operation or labor time. You can define custom fields for operation where-in you can have provision to mention the operator ID if required during confirmation.
You can then run various SAP standard reports (COOIS) to fetch this information. Try it and revert back.

ITunes Media Folder Renameable on External Drive (mac)

I have a 1TB collection of music in a folder on an external drive within a folder that is NOT called iTunes Media, but which until now had behaved as if it were.
I just switched to a clone of my old 1TB drive on a 1.5TB drive. After 11 hours of locating my 157000 tracks, I was able to find and use every track. However, when I added a new track, apparently I lost the ability to add new music tracks within the Music folder. Instead, a new iTunes Media folder was created within the folder which SHOULD have been called iTunes Media.
In the (new) iTunes Media folder there are a few folders containing the music I added after the switch. In the Music folder (below, but higher hierarchy) there is 1TB of music, which means it cannot be copied into the (new) iTunes Media file on the 1.5TB drive (not enough space).
Even though it would entail 100+ hours of new clone-backup time, the most logical solution would be to discard the embedded iTunes Media folder, rename the top-level folder iTunes Media, then let iTunes relocate the tracks again (over another 11 hours) and reload the few tracks loaded since the switch.
However I do not know if iTunes will allow this to work, and if so, what needs to be done in order to make it work.
Can the top-level folder be renamed? Do I need to untick and tick the Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized button?

I am getting a bit lost on what was done and exactly why you did it that way. It looks to me like you use iTunes with standard preferences settings and you didn't so much move your media folder to the external drive as your whole iTunes library (everything in the top level folder including all the media files). This should have been done simply by copying the iTunes folder from the old drive to the new one, renaming the AllMyiTunesMusic folder if you so desire, then starting iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and selecting that folder as the iTunes library to now start using. Apart from the copy time when you could go away and drink a pot of coffee the actual labor time would be about 2 minutes. I think you must have done something different which has kind of messed up your library and resulted in duplication of files. Some of those folders such as Movies and the neighboring Music folder should be in the media folder, but don't move things about in Finder or iTunes may lose track of them and things will get worse. If you can go back and do things properly then I recommend you do so, otherwise we can see what we can work with here.
