Labview 2009 August edition installation in win7 64bit OS

Dear All,
I need to know In win7 64 bit OS, NI labview 2009 august edition and add on modules like RT and Sound and vibration installation will work  or not ?
Can any one help me?
Regards,
Vasu

Here is a start to your question. Basically, many of the toolkits (FPGA for instance) are not support under LabVIEW64, so LabVIEW 32bit must be installed on your 64 bit O/S

  • Labview 2009 Student Edition Vista x64 installation fail, no error messages though

I am trying to install a copy of the LabView 2009 student edition and everytime the installation initializes, the modules fail to install for every single module.  There is also no error message.
I got a message that LabView may not be working correctly due to Windows Firewall, which I have disabled. That message referred me to ni.com/info, code expm69.
Let me know, I'm a little confused as to what's going on.  Would it be due to a patch or what not?
    Thanks!

    Hi imagineerme,
Regarding your installation issues, a possible cause may be that you don't have permissions on the computer that you are installing. Are you set as the administrator on this computer? Is this a school computer or your own?
It's also possible that LabVIEW may be installed on your computer already. To check this, go to Program Files/National Instruments to see what you already have installed.
If neither of these are the cause, can you please provide me with more information about your installation? Does the installer crash or just go straight to the finish screen? Does anything install at all? Thanks and best of luck,

  • Online edit with word2007 win7 64bit and ecm11g

    hi all,
I am using wc11gPS4 with ecm11g on win7 64bit, I configured wc with ecm, I used default content page in my groupspace, uploaded a word file, right click it, on the popup menu, select edit with word, I was prompted to enter username and passwd, I inputed the correct info, but never passed verification, is there any suggestion on this?
    word version is office 2007.
This test is based on the changing of default registry table:
    In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters
I changed the value for "BasicAuthLevel" to "2" (decimal),hope this was not the reason, I did this for making webdav worked(webdav still doesn't work)
    Best regards

    Hi
Do you see the same behavior when doing editing for word files from DIS or WebDAV ?
    Thanks

  • LabVIEW 2009 slow editing

Ever since I switch from 8.6 to 2009 sp1, the same project has been very slow to edit.  Yes it is large, but the machine is large.  I have timed the how long I get the hour glass and how often, and the average delay is 22.5 seconds every 321 seconds.  This is driving me nuts to wait that long every 5 minutes.
I have a quad core PC, so that should not be an issue.  I’m sure some of you could find some improvements in the code, but the code is not that bad.  I have read that they made changes to the compiler, but that should not effected an edit should it?
    Thanks,
    Doug

    Deborah,
Thanks for your reply.  Yes I did a mass compile when I upgraded from 2009 to 2010sp1.  The wait time during auto save went down from 20+ seconds to about 3 with the upgrade, so that helps a lot.  I noticed a slight improvement when editing the main.vi outside of the project, but not by much.  Attached is the VI Metrics if that sheds any light on this subject.  I have noticed a long time ago that if I make a lot of changes it will slow up until I do a save.  This always happened even on older version of LabVIEW.
I’m just trying to better understand what computer resources LabVIEW needs for better editing performance.  I don’t see the CPU or memory usage going up, so I am curious of what is causing the slowdown.  Or more to the point if there is something I can do to speed things up (like a faster hard drive, or some kind of setting).  At boot up I have 52 processes running in the background, so that is not too bad.  We have our business Norton antivirus software loaded.
    Thanks,

  • Grouppolicyhelper installation on Win7 64bit

    Hello,
is there a solution to install GPO-Helper.msi on a 64bit Windows 7 System? I tried it on ZCM10.3 and with ZCM11 beta.

But for now, I realized the Poster was likely trying to use the 64-bit
version of IE. The 32-bit version is required since many things (not
just Novell) do not work yet.
It looks like in ZCM 11, they are disabling it on 64-bit operating
systems, but after reading the bugs I'm not sure I agree with the reasoning.

  • MathScript RT Module - LabVIEW 2009 Mac

    Hello everyone,
I recently bought LabVIEW 2009 Student Edition and I am using it on Mac OS X (Leopard). The checklist that came with the software says it comes with MathScript RT Module (for Mac), but that I should contact NI in order to get this module (free). I looked online at ni.com and I only found the Windows version. Can someone PLEASE post it or send me the link where to get it? I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks!!!

    Hi Argon,
You will have to contact NI directly to determine how you will get the module. Thanks.

  • Does USB-6008 student kit come with a LabVIEW 2009 textbook?

    Hello.
I'm taking a LabVIEW class that requires the "LabVIEW 2009 Student Edition" textbook and software on DVD. I want to also get the USB-6008 Module, too.
Browsing the NI Academic Starter Kits, I came across the USB-6008 Student Kit, which says comes with the USB-6008 Module, LabVIEW Student Edition software, and SignalExpress LE. This Kit seems like the best package for me to purchase, but the website is not clear as to whether the textbook is included. Does anyone know if the book is included with the USB-6008 Student Kit?
    Thanks,

    Hi YTrunner,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments. I can confirmthat the 6008 starter kit does not come with the textbook. You would need to purchase these products separately.

  • LabVIEW 2011 Student Edition on Mac Installation

    Hi
I installed LabVIEW 2011 Student edition on my Mac with the OS Mac OSX Version 10.7.1 Lion edition.
At first it wouldn't install (I had installation failure because Lion OSX is 64 bit and not 32)
I used the intructions as demonstrated in the link http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3773
as I found in the forum thread of:
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Installing-LabVIEW-2011-for-Mac-OS-X-10-7-Lion-fails/m-p/1653742?req...
After I changed to 32 bit, the apple terminal warned me by doing so I wouldn't be able to save stuff correctly.
The software installed after I used the directions for 32 bit mode, but for some reason it did not say I was in 32 bit mode on the Apple activity monitor, it said 64 bit.
I went to the terminal and used the instructions to turn the operating system into 64 bit (even though it already say it was in 64 bit, despite LabVIEW installing, which requires 32 bit). I rebooted the computer, and I was able to use LabVIEW 2011.
    My question:
Once LabVIEW 2011 Mac student edition is installed in 32 bit mode, can it be operated when the computer is in 64 bit mode?
    thanks

    Hi JoeGanser,
Booting your Mac into OSX 64 bit should still enable LabVIEW to run, even though it is a 32 bit program. You will encounter problems however when using NI-DAQmx Base, NI-VISA or NI-488.2 drivers while running in 64 bit mode.
I have found a KnowledgeBase Article, which explains why this is the case.
Please let me know if that answers your question, please post back if you have further questions.

  • DLL causes error when quiting LabVIEW 2009 on WIN7

    Hello,
I have reduced the problem in my EXE application to the following attached code (see attachment). Somehow the DLL (To User32.dll) calls are creating a problem when quiting Labview 2009. The Application stays resident in the Windows taskbar and after a while an error appears about that there was a problem closing the application and that it can be reported to Microsoft if desired. Then a second error message appears before the application dissapears from the taskbar. If I remove the DLL:calls from the code then the problems dissapear.
Should I unload the DLL calls on a special manner before quiting LabVIEW?

Another potential problem not mentioned in that article is that you have included your user32.dll explicitedly in your built application. Doing that creates 200% for sure trouble as the kernel32.dll, user32.dll and others are always residently loaded into memory anyhow and mapped into the system memory section of any process. If you tell an application to load this DLL again by explicit name, you end up having two copies of it mapped in your process memory space and that will cause very weird problems.
To avoid this problem make sure the library name inside the Call Library Node only specifies the DLL name without any path information. Then close the dialog and save it. If you reopen the dialog it will show the full path but still save the name only until you make a modification in the path control at which time you can end up having a full path again.

  • LabView 2009 (64bit) IMAQ GetScreenSize???

    Hi,
Did anybody try to use the GetScreenSize vi in LabView 2009 64bit yet??
It is not runable any more?? Do we have any replacements??
    Thanks

    Hi,
IMAQ GetScreenSize is obsolete. Refer to KB: Compatibility Library when Upgrading from Older Versions of Vision Development Module.
Instead of this function you can use Display.Primary Workspace or Display. All Monitors property node.

  • T410 win7 - 64bit installation issue

    Hi !
I am trying to install win7 - 64 bit version on a virgin HDD.
The computer boot on the DVD as expected, then when I click "install now" button, an error show up.
'no device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK'
I don't even get to the point where I can choose a custom installation.
Is it a known issue ? What kind of drivers are missing ?
The computer (T410) can run on Win7 - 64bit with my company HD.
My goal is to make my own HD so I can swap between company and personal use.
    Thx for any answer.

It is an advanced format (4k sectors) drive.  If you are installing from Lenovo recovery disks, it just won't work.  Lenovo says that they do not support AF drives in machines that were not delivered with them (pre-T420).  If you are installing from a regular microsoft disk, you can put the required intel storage drivers on a USB thumb drive and add them at the appropriate time.  You can also install if you can find a windows 7 disk that includes SP1.  I am out of town working on dial-up and have a hard time looking things up, but this should point you in the right direction.

    Bonjour,

  • Differences between LabVIEW Education Edition and LabVIEW 2009 + NXT Module

Recently saw the announcement regarding LabVIEW Education Edition.
From the information available at this time it's hard to tell the difference between this product and just adding the NXT module to standard LabVIEW 2009 if your only interest in LabVIEW is for NXT  programming.  Anymore details about this new product would be appreciated as well as info on how it's different from the alternative.  Are there some unique VIs not present in the standard NXT module?  Obviously the pricing is very different, but for a student the academic version of LabVIEW is actually lower cost than this new Education Edition.

    Inh-
LabVIEW Education Edition (LVEE) includes the NXT Module and the API to interface with Vernier products.    LVEE is geared towards middle school and high school classrooms to get students interested in math and science.  It includes curriculum for teachers that may not be familiar with programming and LabVIEW in general to use the NXT bricks and the LabVIEW environment.
LabVIEW with the NXT module only has the NXT API and not the Vernier API.  It will not include the course work and as extensive example programming useful for teaching.
For additional information on LVEE, please take a look at the Getting Started with LabVIEW Education Edition or go to ni.com and search for “labview education edition”.
