Labview 6 xmathtypes.dll missing

Hi,
I am trying to run Matlab script (Matlab version I think it is the latest one) from Labview 6.1. Initially it wasn't running. Then I came across this thread
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/CE309627064A3D5686256A9C005B0A5F?OpenDocument
and replaced the two script files (hiqscript.dll & matscript.dll) (in Labview6.1/resource/script) with three new files mentioned in that thread (matscript.dll, xmathscript.dll & XmathTypes.dll). Created a matscript with code given in Labview help
a=rand(50)
surf(a)
After running the code it shows me the plot. So everything works up to that point.
The problem is:
Whenever I right click on the matscipt (to add input/ouput) (even if I right click on a blank matscript), it gives me this error
" Labview.exe unable to locate component"
"This application has failed to start because XmathTypes.dll wasn't found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem."
Also somebody metioned in other thread to place a copy of that dll file (xmathtypes.dll) in system 32 folder. But not any help. I have already repaired the labview 6.1 using the labview cd. But the problem is still the same.
I have winows XP pro version installed on my desktop. I checked it on vista premium too. But the same error is popping up.
In our lab we have labview 8.5 and in that everything works fine.
But since all the drivers and code are written in labview 6.1. So I want this to be done in labview 6.1.
Thanks
Raj

    Hi Briana,
I believe I understand what you're asking, but which current DAQmx driver are you using with LV 2010?  Only the 9.1.5 and above drivers are compatible with LV 2010, while many of the older drivers will still work for you in LV 8.6.  Below, I've linked a compatibility chart for DAQmx drivers and Labview versions.

  • Error loading 'ModelCom.dll': Missing export 'GetModuleHandleW' from 'KERNEL32

    Hallo zusammen,
Error loading 'ModelCom.dll': Missing export 'GetModuleHandleW' from 'KERNEL32.DLL'
    Fehlermeldung:
Error loading 'ModelCom.dll': Missing export 'GetModuleHandleW' from 'KERNEL32.DLL'

    I'm getting the RT error:
Error loading 'ole32.dll': Missing export '_resetstkoflw' from 'MSVCRT.DLL'
    LabVIEW RT 2011
I've reinstalled RT several times but am still seeing the error.
I only see it after closing my application.
I've attached a report of my RT system.
Any ideas on what I might be missing?

    Hello Robert,
I wasn't able to find too much about this error on our end, but doing a wider search it seems errors involving MSVCRT.DLL usually take place when this Microsoft C Runtime Library file is replaced by a third-party file that lacks "_resetstkoflwfunction". It's odd that the error occurs only after closing the application. Here is a third-party website I was able to find which explains this in a bit more detail, and might be a fix to try if your are comfortable: How to Fix Common Msvcrt.dll Errors?

    Hi,
      http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=140327&requireLogin=False
says the niembrt.dll is actually used by the 7041 card. Since you're not using it, then everything should be fine.
You need to go back to the DAQ drivers (since the 7041 and 7030 are embedded rt controllers with a DAQ board), and uninstall any RT components that show up, especially since you're not using realtime as you said you don't have LabVIEW.
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks

  • When I try to install iTunes on my Windows computer I get an error message, "Apple Mobile Device failed to start".  After an incomplete installation when I try to open iTunes I get an error message, "MSVCR80.dll missing".  I downloaded MSVCR80.dll.

When I open iTunes I get an error message "MSVCR80.DLL missing".  I downloaded this .dll and installed in C:\Windows|System32.  I then scanned my computer to fix registry errors.I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled and got the following error message "Apple Mobile Device failed to start".

    Try the following user tip:

  • HT1923 Hi I have tried in upgrade to latest Itunes version but I keep getting MSVCR80.dll missing notification whats all this about?/ & how do I overcome it

I have tried installing new version of itunes on my pc (windows 7 64 bit) but I keep getting an message saying MSVCR80.dll missing. Can amyone tell me how to resolve this please?

I've just (finally) managed to fix this problem today. I checked the Apple Support forums, and it seems a lot of people are having the same problem.
I rang the Apple Support line, and the very helpful man (thanks Alan!) talked me through it stage by stage. If you go to the following page on the internet: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376   it takes you through the process. WARNING - it takes a little time!
Basically, the first thing you have to do is go to your Program Files and double click on your iTunes folder. There'll be a number of files with the suffix .dll - you need to move all the .dll files from that folder to your desktop - you can simply click and drag them on the desktop..
Next, uninstall iTunes - go to Control Panel / Add/Rempve Programs and when the list comes up remove iTunes. This will take a few minutes... Then reboot your computer.
Next, go back to Control Panel / Add Remove and Remove - IN THIS ORDER -
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot again!
Next, check in your Program Files that the iTunes folder is completely gone - if it has, great: if it hasn't, right-click on the folder and press Shift and Delete - it will say "Are you sure you want to completely remove the folder "iTunes"? Click on "Yes".
    Reboot!
Then go to the iTunes download page and voila! It should download iTunes without any problems... well it did for me.... Good luck!

  • I installed iTunes update on my pc running windows vista and now it will not open. Error message MSVCR80.dll missing

I installed iTunes update on my pc running windows vista and now it will not open. Error message MSVCR80.dll missing???

First try updating to iTunes 11.1.5.5, using an installer downloaded from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you still get the errors after that, try the following user tip:
Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

  • Trying to install itunes but keep getting windows error126 message and libicuin.dll missing

trying to install itunes but keep getting windows error 126 message and libicuin.dll missing have reinstalled numerous times and keep getting same messages.

Are you saving the installer first and then installing, or are you running the installer directly from Apple's website? Also save first.
If you're saving first and still having issues, try and use Microsoft's Cleanup Utility and then reinstall Quicktime/iTunes:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Make sure it's a new and fresh download from:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If not mentioned in the articles, make a new user account in Windows and see if iTunes opens. That will tell you if there's something funky in your main account (if the new user works), or if you have a system-wide issue.

  • Creating a LabVIEW Shared DLL for use with C# and Strings?

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a prototype for a LabVIEW Shared DLL that all the VI does is take in a string and return an upper cased string. Needless to say the DLL builds fine but when I try calling the shared DLL from C# the .NET application recieves an exception about "Ansi char arrays can not be marshaled as byref or as an unmanaged-to-managed parameter". Does anyone have an example of how to pass a string to a VI and return a string or an example of a better way of accomplishing this.
We are using labVIEW 7.1 on Windows 2000.
I am in quite a bit of a hurry to prove that this type of a LabVIEW Shared DLL VI would work. The eventual system will be passing in a string of XML with a large amount of
    data and returning XML.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jim

    Hello jprucha,
This occurs because LabVIEW DLLs are not considered managed code. As such, we need to define the C# function as unsafe to be able to call unmanaged DLLs.
You can find more information about C# and managed code at Microsoft's developer website linked below.
    MSDN Home Page
    Good luck with the development,

  • "disk error" or "hal.dll' missing

I kept getting "hal.dll" missing after the initial dos-style XP install, and googling about led me to believe it was because I was deleting the boot camp partition during xp setup and re-formatting as NTFS.
So I tried just selecting the BOOTCAMP partition as is, and now the error is different - it simply says "disk error" at XP boot up.
Note this is BEFORE the actual XP install, this is the restart after the initial XP copying files setup bit.

I also got "disk error" message when I first installed XP WITHOUT formatting the Windows partition. After I formatted it everything works fine.
I also got "hal.dll" error when I created 2 partitions on Windows BUT formatted only the partition that I installed the XP on. I believe the error was because that unformatted partition. I haven't tried formatting both partition yet, though.
Have any of you tried nerowolfe's advice? Did it work?

Tried to download an update last week. Failed message. Now get messageMSVCR80.dll missing. Advised to download new Itunes programme. Would this delete all my existing library and wish list? Any ideas

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

    Hi,
I'm using Windows 7 64bit and the problem was solved in one step. Simply "Restore" Windows to a time prior to your installing the iTunes update.........It fixed everything, my library was there and I had access to iTunes.
One thing to remember, when you restore and open iTunes DON'T choose to update iTunes
I just did the exact same thing as you did after spending about an hour trying to fix it.  iTunes updates drive me insane!!! I wish they would quit trying to "improve" what was never broken in the first place.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.
