LabVIEW Application Builder Crash : ntdll.dll faulting module

Hello guys,
I'm currently experiencing problems while building my project (LV2012 (32 bits) , Windows 7). At the very end of application build, LabVIEW crashes with no explanation (Screenshot in french, sorry)
Windows error logging follows :
Event 1000 Application Error
Faulting application name LabVIEW.exe, version : 12.0.0.4024, time stamp : 0x4fea600e

Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
Report Id : 8e5b1344-1128-11e2-97d8-c0f8dae81bad
I had the same problem on LabVIEW 2011. I tried to build my application with another computer (also LV2012 32 bits and Windows 7 64 bits) and I do not have any error.
What is wrong with my computer?
For french people, topic in french
Thank you for your help,

  • 2014.2 Random Crashes ntdll.dll

    Pretty consistent crashes of the version 2014.2  Always fault module name ntdll.dll
    This is happening on our desktop and laptop, on different projects.  It happens if we use the "Mercury Playback Engine" or the "Software Engine"  Both machine are only used for video editing.  Nothing else is installed.  The crashes are completely random to what work we are doing on each machine.  Sometimes is happens during playback, sometimes scrubbing the timeline, sometimes zooming in on the timeline, sometimes opening a new window.  Totally random.  This is a pretty "crappy-way" of having to get your work done.  Talk about slow.  Every time I touch a key I'm holding my breath, and when is doesn't crash I immediately save the project file.  On top of that I have to spend valuable time searching the forums for some type of solution.  Don't get me wrong I think the forums are awesome.  10,000 times better than Adobe phone support.  The only solution I could find quickly was to convert back to a earlier version of premiere prior to the latest update.  Anyone else having similar issue?
    If I understand some of what was mentioned, the only problem with that is any work saved on the latest version will not convert back.
    Both of our machines are running windows 7 professional.  As far as we can tell all updates have been applied.  A couple of these projects where started prior to the latest adobe update and we didn't have any issue until now.
    Ok Adobe, you guys decided to go this "New" scheme of delivering your software so we could have the latest updates.  If you are going to make changes "quicker" and "more often" and allow us to "roll-back" to earlier versions of the software as temporary solutions to update problems, wouldn't it make sense to allow us to "roll-back" our projects as well?  Just at least 1 version?

    Greetings, I have been experiencing this exact same problem. Just preformed a complete re-install of my OS making sure all Win 7 64 updates were properly installed and then re-installed all Adobe sw again too all on to brand new SSD drives. I also tried removing about 1/3 of my installed fonts too. I will mention that I am also using a Matrox MXO2 Max using their latest sw and have worked with their support team who has now suggested that Adobe is who I need to get in touch with now. I am NOT able to make myself the Ginny pig here but I do need a solution ASAP! Here are my crash results: (I am now experiencing a crash about every 15 minutes to 1 hour).

  • Can I repair the ntdll.dll fault that prevents InDesign CS4 from opening in Windows 7?

    I am running Windows 7, all updates installed, and CS4, updated to 6.0.6.622. This problem does not affect any other app in CS4. Starting yesterday, InDesign would crash as soon as I opened a document. Then it would crash before I could open a document. Now it crashes once the small pink splash screen displays. The Windows detail is this:
    The same behavior occurs with with my machine in Safe mode.
    I have not added any fonts.
    I attempted the manual "trash preferences" procedure found on this site.
    I attempted the "default printer" solution.
    I already rolled back my system to October 13 (my earliest possible restore point) and then reinstalled InDesign, then when the problem persisted installed the 6.0.6 patch again. So rolling back from the update is not a solution. Would uninstalling inDesign before reinstalling be required?
    This department (3 users) got new laptops witn Windows 7 and CS4 in January, and I am the only one experiencing this. I know I am current on all updates, but I can't speak for everyone else. Perhaps I am too up-to-date.
    My IT dept thinks the standard solution of re-imaging the hard drive is required, but that takes a day and then another two to reinstall/re-register/reconfigure all my apps. I have work to do!
    I sure hope someone else has solved this already; I have spent a lot of time searching for a clue. Thanks all, in advance.

    I just tried the Recovery Folder solution, where you delete the contents of the folder. This sounded promising, because the first time ID crashed, a document was open. When I launched ID again, the doc was recovered. I closed it without saving changes, after which ID crashed. After that point, ID never got beyond the splash screen. There were two items in the folder (see screenshot), but alas, no joy.
    Thanks Peter for the cleanup - I had not spent any time reading the forum how-to (and I write user docs).

    hi,
    I ceated an application using VC++ 2005 and OCCI 10.2.0.3.0 (update patch 13). the application run smoothly on 2000/XP. But if it is run on vista (32bit, tested on several computer), it ocassionally creates crash (not always) when trying to connect to oracle server (also when trying to connect to non existance server, sometimes crash and sometimes successfully displaying time out message),
    The crash message is as follows:

         if (m_occiEnv != NULL)
              m_occiCon = m_occiEnv->createConnection(user, pass, constr);
              if (m_occiCon != NULL) return SUCCESS;
    catch (SQLException ea)
         m_strLastErr = _T(ea.what());
         return FAILED;
    I then tried to upgrade the OCCI using OCCI 11.1.0.7.0 (using the same source code). It also creates random crash but on OraOCIEI11.dll (not ntdll.dll) as follows:

    hi again,
    I tried to change the createEnvironment into the following:
    m_occiEnv = Environment::createEnvironment(Environment::THREADED_MUTEXED);
    and somehow, using the latest OCCI 11.1.0.7.0 with the above code, the application seems running well. Tested around 40 times, haven't got any crashed.
    When using the OCCI 10.2.0.30 patch 13 with the above code, the application occasionally is still crashed.

    I'm researching this now. I have the same problem. Here is what I'm comming up with. Is that there is a corruptioin in the registry (I know... big surprise with WIndows). And/or/related is that there is some corruption with the user profile. I'm not an IT guy so take my assesment with a grain of salt but this is how it's looking to me.
    Solution that might work:
    Launch into the command prompt as an administrator and run "sfc /scannow". for windows 8

    INZ123....
    Actually Adobe looked into this very thoroughly for me. I was in contact with Durin who passed all of the information I gave them over to their programming department. They then asked for additional information via Email, which is why it's not on this thread. After several back and forth messages they didn't know why it was happening. One thing that they did point out, which I wasn't aware of, is that Audition is one of few Adobe products that requires the SP1 pack for Windows 7. I had just installed 7 on a new system so I hadn't updated to SP1 yet. However, even after I upgraded to SP1 it didn't work. I would recommend checking to be sure you are up to date with Windows, which is why I mentioned this. Maybe it will help you. I know it helped others who had the same issue as we have. I knew that Adobe was working on an update to address so other issues and I was hoping they could figure it out with the update. I installed the update and after that I WAS able to run Audition 2014 after that. So make sure that you do run the update.
    I was always able to get Audition CS6 to work without any issues so while Adobe was trying to figure out why it wasn't working for me I just used CS6. If you have the subscription then you can install CS6 via the Creative Center by going to the Apps and down to the Find New Apps section. Just make sure that you have the  versions turned on. You will find that you can download and install CS6 from there.
    Hope that helps....

  • Is LabVIEW application builder needed for TS deployment?

    Does the LabVIEW application builder need to be installed for TS deployment of a project containing LabVIEW VI's?

    LabVIEW Application Builder is only necessary if you are deploying LabVIEW files, even then you can use the flag "Include without Processing Item or Dependencies" in all your LabVIEW files to create an image and optionally an installer without requiring LabVIEW (or app builder) at all; however, using this flag is not recommended becuase if you use it you would have to include all the files and their dependencies in your deployment manually (either by including the root directory of your test system or by adding all the files to your workspace) and you would have to make sure that they are not broken and can be called from the run-time engines you are including in your installer.

    The PC is on windows 7 32 bits with .net 4.5 installed.

    Hello,
    Based on the exception message, I found that your project is build with .NET 4.0, you could consider changing it to .NET 4.5.
    If you want to keep it built with .NET 4.0, then you could consider the following fix.
    FIX: "Faulting module name: clr.dll" error message when you run a Microsoft .NET Framework 4-based application

    Hi ,
    To generate the crash dump on windows follow the steps :
    01)Type regedit in command run to open the registry entries.
    02)Add a new entry to computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\Local Dumps\EdgeAnimate.exe
    If any of the sun category doesn't exist , please create it.
    03)Now add "DumpFolder" , "DumpCount" , DumpType" as mentioned in the link shared by Sujai - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb787181%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
    i.e create DumpFolder entry of type REG_EXPAND_SZ and default value say c:\crashDumps where you have this folder crashDumps in the c directory
    Take a look at the snapshot below :
    After making these settings , relaunch Edge Animate and try to crash. This should generate the crash dump in the c:\crashDumps folder. Send that log file to us via dropbox.
    Do let me know if you need any other help!

  • 8.02 POA crashes w/ntdll.dll fault after power loss

    Hi,
    Running GW 8.0.2 on Windows 2003 server (POA, MTA and GWIA). After power loss on Friday, POA will not stay up for long - crashes with:
    "Faulting application gwpoa.exe, version 8.0.2.10840, faulting module ntdll.dll version 5.2.3790.4455" error.
    MTA and GWIA are not crashing.
    I thought maybe it could be a corrupt message but the only messages in the queues are dated today and not Friday (\PO\wpcsout\ofs\4 - wpcsin queues are empty). I am currently running gwcheck.exe against the message databases but that is going to take a couple hours. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Was a solution ever determined for this issue? Did gwcheck.exe help (it does not for us)?
    I am having the exact same problem. Below are the specs of my GroupWise servers:
    GroupWise 8.0.2 (POA and MTA)
    Server OS: 2008 R2 x64
    The POA will randomly shut down with an ntdll.dll error fault. I have migrated this server to new hardware and a new OS (user to be on a 2003 R2 SP2 server and half the RAM). Same issue. Anyone have a fix for this?
