LabVIEW CLAD Online Prep-exam

I just finished taking the online Prep (Free) exam for the CLAD.. how long typically before you get your score. I did not think I did too bad, but thought I would have gotten an email already..
Also I assume you can retake online one a few times right? if I don't get an email with results that might be my only option..
I want to sign up for the actual CLAD exam but wanted to see how well I did on the online one first

Hi:
The system must have sent you an e-mail inmediately after finishing the
exam. At least that happen to me. Check in your Spam Folder, maybe it
was detected as spam. If not, and you're sure you're checking the right
e-mail account, then the option must be doing the exam again.

I am looking for a resource(s) that can help me prepare for the Labview CLAD exam, I have worked through the 2 online example papers and these are very good at showing the weak spots. Some of the questions are a bit beyond me still, for example:

Pearson Vue - Online Proctored Exam - Where to Lodge Complaint?

Hi guys, not quite sure where to go from here as I have torn most of my hair out.
I’ve attempted to take the 70-411 OP exam now 3 times with no success. The first and second time the exam was unable to be started due to faults at Pearsons end (no greeter and wrong timezone), after numerous calls to their support staff
(and speaking to call-center floor managers), I obtained refunds for both these exams.
Yesterday was my 3<sup>rd</sup> attempt at sitting the 70-411 online proctored exam. I was met by the greeter and told that the name on my Microsoft account does not match that of my ID.
I have previously sat and passed several exams at traditional testing centers (70-411, 70-680) with the same account. The name on my account is “Brad”, however my ID (which is the same one I used every time)
shows “Bradley” – I was unable to start the online test due to this. I was also advised that I was not eligible for a refund and I would need to reschedule.
I’ve been in contact with Pearson and they are of no assistance with the issue. I’m wondering if there is anyone else I can contact that can assist with either a refund of the examination fee of the booking of
another exam.

BEWARE Pearson online proctored exams

My experience with Pearson today:
signed up for online exam:
Call in, the greeter takes me half way through the sign in process, hangs up on me. Im left there for 5 minutes waiting for a call back. Call support, 90 minutes later, I get a refund. There were some issues getting a clear picture of my license through
my work laptop. They tried to blame it on that.(That wasnt the problem, the problem was that the greeter hung up as I was taking a new photo) the "Program manager" said that I should buy a new web cam, but I get a refund.
I then sign up again. Go through the process of signing in again. This time I do get a clear enough picture of my id, and as Im about to launch the exam, the live stream of my picture from the webcam is replaced with 503/Service Unavailable and then a still
image from my webcam. Its no longer responding. I call support. Talk to the same guy (Matthew, the PM) He tells me that it is questionable if they can refund my money or not. And that "he warned me I need to buy a new webcam" and that it will take
up to 24 hours to determine if I "saw" the exam(I did not). I understand the need to cover their asses, but this is a bullshit policy. If you want to do online proctoring, you need bulletproof infrastructure. I consider this very close to a scam,
and I do sincerely hope that Microsoft considers re-evaluating who monitors their certification tests. At this point I am out a days work to take the test and possibly out the 115 bucks.
So if you are considering online proctored exams, and you have any other options, or any other company can oversee it, I would advise that you pursue that option and not Pearson.

I mostly agree, major frustrations with test taking. I didn't get nearly as far you. While my system test was successful right off the bat with no changes needed when it came time to test, the testing app wouldn't load. This was the FIRST time I was directed
to proctorcam.com and the very first page there was loaded with error messages. I was able to click download to download and install the test software, this ran and disappeared leaving me at the error ridden page. I clicked the online chat waiting the in queue,
gave up and decided to call. Hold, state problem, hold, irrelevant question, hold.... etc.. After 45 minutes I asked to reschedule, which they did allow. At this point the chat window is still open and queued with no assistance.
Glad I was able to reschedule at a testing center, but I haven't lost significant time which is very frustrating. Even more so because it was caused by multiple deficiencies outside my control. A system test that is grossly inadequate and a lack of available
support for a test that is paid AND scheduled for an exam delivery that is beta so they should know advanced support should be readily available.

It does not sound like you know what you are talking about. There are at least two important speeds: development time and execution time. Development time for a given task is proven significantly faster with LabVIEW and, properly programmed (!), execution time is very comparable to any other programming language. For very time critical tasks, you can even go to dedicated hardware such as FPGA.

There is the LabVIEW home bundle for non-commercial use. Very cheap! For commercial applications its cost is well worth it.

LabVIEW is very widely used in industry and there will always be a secure local option. This idea was about a learning environment, not something for serious development.

I already owned 10 copies of MathScript as part of the NI Developer Suite. All ten Serial Numbers were, and are now, currently on SSP.
MathScript was taken away from me as part of the LabVIEW 2009 Upgrade.
Everybody that owns Developer Suite and MathScript and has a current SSP has had their MathScript taken away from them as part of LavVIEW 2009 upgrade.
They will need to repurchase MathScript again.
Shame on you NI. This is appalling and horrific.

generally: very good effort!
As Blokk said: you need to work in a project (makes life so much easier anyway). Try to reduce the amount of property nodes where possible. This has to be a trade off: if you realise during the exam that it would get ridiculously complicated to reduce the locations of where the indicators are written to to one then don't do it. Better to keep the code neat and tidy as it is and accept the deduction rather than tearing apart the code and getting loads more deductions for wire spagetti.
Good pratice is also to use standardised icons: header indicates functional module (e.g. File IO, Time, Ctrl, etc), while the bottom bit indicates what it exactly does.
Biggest problem is error handling: there is none! If an error occurs nothing happens but even worse the error gets never cleared and gets passed around (shift registers) stopping all modules from executing as nearly all modules have standard error in/out functionality and will simply be skipped. Fortunately it doesn't completely hang up the software as even if an error occurs the event structure will still be reacting to the stop button and the state machine will shut it down.
I would do the shut down of the state machine slightly different rather than comparing the state to Exit. I would wire a boolean out of each case: false in Init and run as well as true in Exit. I would then "or" the boolean with the error wire and wire it to the loop stop terminal. Outside of the state machine you will then need to place a simple error handler vi.
Your subVIs should also be implemented with standard error in/out functionality by putting all controls and indicators outside of an error case structure which only executes the code when no error is coming in.
Just a few minor points which might be worth about 4-5 pts (guesstimate)

edit 2: Error handling is actually a major problem and would potentially hang up the software. When you press start with an incoming error the "check water pressure sensor.vi" would return the default of zero from the variant to data which is smaller then 50 ... not stopping the loop. This would be avoided by wrapping an error case structure around everything (all controls and indicators need to be outside the case structure). In the case of an error everything would be skipped and you will need to return default values.

What happened to the online sample CLAD Exam???

Now only am planning to take the CLAD Exam but before that my seniors advised me to take the online CLAD sample exam. I searched a lot nut am not able to get that... :smilwysad: What happened???... Any issue regarding that....?.
Is there anyother possibility to take sample online CLAD exam???

DWCS6 ACA exam prep?

Hello everyone,
i'm going to get the ACA certification about Dreamweaver CS6. To be more prepared, i completed the "courses" with "Dreamweaver CS6 Classroom in a book" and "Introduction to Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 with ACA Certification", i followed guides and so on. Now i'd like to book that exam but i'm not completely sure that i know all the necessary to pass. Checking around i saw that there are sites that offer t-prep or something like that, simulations of the exam with examples and explanations. Thi, over all, for the ACE exam... and i couldn't find the ACA one!
Anyone knows a site where i can buy a license or something like that for this kind of simulation? Or at least, is there a good site where i can practice more (or another book that prepares me better than those, maybe.... not saying they're bad, but i'm not confident in my preparation).

EDIT: i'm thinking about getting the ACE prep exam.... would it be a wise choice? I imagine that, once you're ready for an ACE exam, the ACA is going to be a walk in the park... or am i wrong?

Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) exams are much more comprehensive. To pass this level, you will need to be very familiar with:
HTML,
CSS,
client-side scripts,
server-side scripts,
connecting to databases,
the various behaviors panels,
working with forms,
working with Templates,
and all other aspects of the DW software version you are being tested on.
In contrast, the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) exam is more of an intro level exam & not nearly as complex. It measures basic proficiency with your chosen product. As such the preparation is not too rigorous either. Below you will find the ACA Prep Guides for DW CS3 - CS6.

Which LabVIEW version is used for CLA exam?

The CLA Exam Preparation Guide (link) states that LabVIEW 2009 will be installed on the test computer. Is this still true? If not, is there an official "Current LabVIEW Version for Certification Exams" link/document that is updated when it changes? If not, there should be - this seems to come up a lot.
I'm writing the exam at NI week, if that matters.

I used 2010. But it shouldn't really matter that much. I can not think of anything in 2010 that would have made the test any different.
