LABVIEW compatibility with AMD processor

Can LABVIEW be loaded on an embedded PC having an AMD Geod LX800-500 MHz processor. Plz help

If you can run a standard windows version (not CE)on your PC you may run labview on it. As I think the geode CPU is x86 compatible. But your CPU is to slow to use windows XP. You may consider using windows 2000 or windows 98, and perhaps labview 7.0 or 7.1. In any case your setup must have sufficient ram, HD, and CPU capacity for your project. If your computer runs windows CE 5.0 you may also use labview, but you need to buy a toolkit and transfer the aplication as an exe file to your host.
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

  • Is Desktop with AMD Processor suitable for SAP ECC6.0?

    Hi,
I want to install SAP ECC 6.0, ESS/MSS, EP , NWDI on my desktop.
I have desktop with following configuration.
    AMD 3.0 Ghz Processror
    4 GB DDR 3 RAM
    500 GB Hard Disk
    OS:
Windows 2003 Enterprise Server 32 bit
I have tried to install SAP packages on above desktop which fails every time. Prerequisite checks goes fine.
Installation will fail at Step 12.
I dont understand whether the AMD processor will support for SAP or not.
    Please help me.

    Hi,
    Two things:
    1. Refer to the Product Availability Matrix for SAP systems at http;//service.sap.com/pam and click on the link for SAP ERP 6.0. This will show you all the product-OS-DB-Processor combinations that SAP supports. Basically, the platforms that are supported by various SAP products. You should only install SAP products on platforms that are listed here.
(FYI - For SAP ERP, Win 2003/32bit is only supported for IA32 processors. check PAM)
    2. Still, paste the logs from the SAPInst log file as suggested above and we can tell you in detail what the issue might be.

  • CS5 Compatibility with AMD E350 Processor

I just opened up my new computer and I realized it didnt have a CD Drive.  Later looking into the specs I failed to check if the CS5 Design Premium Suite will run on my AMD Fusion E350 Processor ( 1.60GHz 1MB ) APU.  Its an 11.6 inch netbook with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.  3GB of RAM and plenty of Hard Drive Space.  But I am mainly asking if the AMD E350 Processor is enough to run the CS5 Suite (Mainly Photoshop) well.
PS.  If you know how to install photoshop cs5 without a built-in CD Drive any advice would be helpful.

Yes, it will run.  When I travel, I take a HP DM1Z-3000 along that is loaded with PSCS 5, Illustrator CS5, and LR 3.5.  That HP line uses the AMD E350 Fusion processor.  Is it as fast as my HP DM4 laptop with an I5 processor - no, but it will get the job done.  The bottleneck for you will be the RAM, not the processor.  It really is quite fast and very energy efficient.  My recommendation would be to up the RAM and you will have something that will work quite well.  I upgraded the RAM of both machines to 8 GB (quite cheap at this point), and even the little DM1Z can run circles around my 2 year old Core2Duo laptop that now sits on a shelf. For comparison, the old Core2Duo laptop also has 8 GB of RAM and it is simply not as responsive as the DM1Z....

  • Thermal Paste Necessary with AMD Processor In A Box?

    Hi All-
I installed an Athlon 64 3200+ and heatsink on my K8N Neo2; the AMD instructions did not show having to put thermal paste between the CPU and heatsink.  PC Gamer also states to only use the existing bundled heat sink as well.  I'm not haviing any problems, but is thermal paste recommended for these bundled processors in a box?  I had an Intel Prescott 2.4 that I installed the same way (without paste) and it ran flawlessly.
    Thank You,
    Mike Tschirret

The processor in a box comes with Paste or a pad preapplied to the HS. Yes you really should use what comes with the CPU as that assures your warrenty. Some of us preffer different stuff and as such apply that after removing the goop that comes with the CPU. However you must have something there. No goop = no good.

  • Labview compatibility with SPSS

    Hi
I am a student and I write my project.
A part of my project is to take data from sensors and analysed via SPSS program..
I read that is possible with the Active X function.
Have someone of you any example or link that could help me.
    Thanks in advance

Activex support for LabVIEW is very good and if you have the documentation for SPSS, you should be able to connect and send information to it. Please refer to our website for more information in how to program with ActiveX:
    http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361E-01/lvcomm/activex_client_functions/
On a side note, you should also look in LabVIEW, in special in the Mathematics, Signal Processing palette and see if that would be not sufficient for you. LabVIEW improved a lot in the latest 3 releases and have a comprehensive number of functions for advanced math and statistics.
Also, if you would prefer to use equations, you could use Mathscript for your application. If you have some m-files available for analysis, this could generally be used in LabVIEW. For more information, see:
    http://www.ni.com/labview/mathscript.htm
If you can't find the analysis that you are looking for, let me know. Maybe I could in converting to LabVIEW. Always remember to tell which version of LabVIEW and which OS your are using.

  • Mountain Lion Compatibility with Xeon processors

I have a Mac Pro with 2 * 3 GHz Intel Dual-Core Xeon Processors. When trying to download Mountain Lion I am told my computer isn't compatible, yet the require, emts suggest it should be. Any advice?

Even though this Xeon processor configuration is 64-bit, the ROM EFI on this Mac Pro is 32-bit. Mountain Lion requires it to be 64-bit. The Quad-core Mac Pro introduced in January 2008 has a 64-bit EFI, which is why the Mountain Lion hardware specs accept this machine.

Your first question was what operating systems Labview can run on.
Dennis told you which OS LabVIEW can run on and gave you a link where
    you could get more info.
By the way, what question did you want him to answer yes or no on, he
gave you a list, which is what you asked for.

  • CS3 Wont Open in Windows 7--AMD Processor Issue--HELP!

After much, much searching I've found there's been a common issue with AMD Processors on Windows 7 and getting CS3 to run correctly. Apparently a patch was created, that fixed the problem for users with similar issues. But the links to those patches are no longer valid.
I have no phone right now, chat aint working--and I can't email Adobe of course, soooo someone please...
The forum I found with those links and explanations is here:
    http://www.sevenforums.com/software/25313-adobe-cs3-64-bit-ultimate-3.html
From there, this pretty much describes it:
"Just bought an HP Pavillion Elite with Windows 7 Home Premium and AMD processor.  Photoshop CS3 would install but would hang when accessed. Some forums  suggested that Photoshop CS3 is incompatible with this AMD processor and  Windows 7 (64-bit). I called HP and was told the software is  incompatible. I was just about to return my computer when I found this  forum. I downloaded and installed the patch. I then opened Photoshop  (for the thousandth time) and voila--it FINALLY opened!!!"
I've also found many other isntances of this complaint with AMD Processors--Photoshop gets a window open then goes into Not Responding. All other applications don't open at all (but are visible in my task manager). So it's not really a Photoshop specific complaint but I'm placing it here.
I've updated graphics card, changed the desktop theme to Classic, not Aero, tried running the programs in different compatibility modes, all to no avail.
This patch these guys are mentioning has GOT to be it. Someone help me get back to work!!
    thank you all in advance.

I had not tried "run as administator." What the hell is that?! I see where to do it and all, but honestly, these permissions
/security/owner/administrator issues on Windows 7 are nothing short of ridiculous.
Every time I think Microsoft may have finally done something right...
I'll try that again down the road. For the moment, looks like Adobe Acrobat 8 is completely incompatible with Windows 7 and almst impossible to delete from the system. SO first task--restoring factory setttings.
In the meantime I'll speak to that patch for Licenseing:
Solution 1: I ran it, but didn't seem to do anything. There was no confirmation of a successful "install," or what you might call it. Secondly, when running again, I was never prompted to enter 0.
Solution 2: I believe those settings were already set as described and so I couldn't really make any changes.
Solution 3: Those folders don't exist, so couldn't do that one.
For various other reasons I wasn't having luck with the next couple thanks to stupid permissions. I'll try again once I've gotten back up to speed.
But yea, someone out there seems to have found a CS3 patch. Am I at least to presume that CS5 would def. work on my comp, and therefore, CS6 is a shoe-in?

I want to pass along a couple of tips that will get you more and better response on this list.
    1) There is an un-written rule that says more "stars" is better than just one star. Giving a one star rating will probably eliminate that responder from individuals that are willing to anser your question.
    2) If someone gives you an answer that meets your needs, reply to that answer and say that it worked.
    3) If someone suggests that you look at an example, DO IT! LV comes with a wonderful set of examples that demonstate almost all of the core functionality of LV. Familiarity with all of the LV examples will get you through about 80% of the Certified LabVIEW Developer exam.
    4) If you have a question first search the examples for something tha
t may help you. If you can not find an example that is exactly what you want, find one that is close and post a question along the lines of "I want to do something similar to example X, how can I modify it to do Y".
    5) Some of the greatest LabVIEW minds offer there services and advice for free on this exchange. If you treat them good, they can get you through almost every challenge that can be encountered in LV.
    6) If English is not your native language, post your question in the language you favor. There is probably someone around that can help. "We're big, we're bad, we're international!"

  • Windows 7 Compatability with Labview 8.0 and missing files while interfacing the FPGA with LV

I am trying to use an FPGA (PCI-7830R) with Labview 8.0. The computer has Windows 7 OS. I installed LV 8.0 in the proper order with the FPGA Module and labview is able to see the FPGA when I open a .lvproj (the FPGA is in the tree) however there is a warning symbol next to the FPGA selection and when I try to open a .vi file that is used on the other stations in my lab (it works on all the other stations), labview is unable to find a whole bunch of files. There are some pictures.

  • How can I turn off compatibility with 7.1 when labview 8 converts my 7.1 code?

    Hi,
I just loaded LV8 on my mac. It converted/compiled my app code to 8. While doing that, it changed many of my constants to hidden controls to maintain combabtibility with 7.1. I really don't care about 7.1 anymore. Is there a way to turn this off so I can re-compile the code and keep it the way it is?
Obviously, I am new to LV but I don't see a reason for keeping the compatibility with 7.1 if my lab is going to 8.
Any thoughs, comments, or critisims would be appreciated.
    tarek316

The particular issue you're talking about isn't necessarily "compatibility" with LabVIEW 7.1...it's actually ensuring that your VIs behave the same in 8.0 as they did in 7.1.  As described in that dialog box, a change was made in LabVIEW 8.0 regarding how VI diagrams are compiled in regards to Case Structures with cases that will never run.  If you are using case structures with constants wired to their selectors purely to keep VIs in memory at particular points in your code, then you should heed the advice given in the context help for the created control and use a Static VI Reference in your code instead of a subVI in a case structure.  If you are using case structures with constants wired to their selectors to comment out code, perhaps you should use the Diagram Disable structure instead.
