Unfortunately, we do not currently offer an evaluation version of LabVIEW for Linux. We do offer evaluation versions of LabVIEW for Windows, so if you have a Windows system available, you can evaluate LabVIEW there. With the exception of a few Windows-specific features, the Linux version of LabVIEW is identical in both layout and functionality.

  • Is it possible to download the LV code to pda in LabVIEW evaluation version?

Is it possible to download the LabVIEW code to pda in LabVIEW evaluation version?
    For example:
I want to select New » Targets and Devices from the shortcut menu to open the Add Targets and Devices dialog box as shown in the below Figures.
Is it possible to do the same in evaluation version of LabVIEW 8.0

    Prasada,
In order to target a PDA device, you will need to have the PDA module installed. Fortunately we do have evaluation software also available for the LabVIEW PDA Module 8.2. Once this has been installed, you should be able to target your PDA device. Please post back if you experience any trouble. Thanks,

  • Evaluation version for Duet Enterprise

    Hi ,
i am looking for evaluation version for Duet Enterprise product , iam meanly microsoft oriented so i have problem in configure Duet Enterprise  in SAP side is there any ready build VM which can help me in checking product

    Hi Yomna,
Duet Enterprise is an add-on to both SharePoint 2010 and SAP NetWeaver 7.02; with additional SAP landscape behind that (e.g. SAP ERP, SAP HR, CRM, or so)
A simple VM with e.g. SharePoint and the Duet Enterprise add-on to SharePoint is thus insufficient; you can only evaluate Duet Enterprise if you also have a proper SAP landscape available.

  • Is there a Hyperion DRM version for Linux?

    Hi All,
I would like to know if exists a version of Hyperion DRM for Linux.
Another question is if the Hyperion DRM version for Windows could be installed in a Virtual Machine.
    Regards,
    Harvey

No there is not a version for Linux. The middle tier has to run W2K3. The database layer can be in Unix etc.
Yes I tried running DRM on VMWare works great. Not sure about other virtual software.

You can try the preview release on Linux (it's not supported but it works). Just make sure you use JDK 1.4.2_XX (latest 1.4.2).
The production release will officially be supported on Linux ;-)

  • Linux labview eval version for lego mindstorms nxt

    Hi,
I'm a high school teacher in Tamil Nadu, India. Our school recently purchased 4 lego mindstorm NXT kits. We were happy to find that the new software was powered by labview, because it runs on linux. Our school runs on an Edubuntu LTSP network. So we were sad when we discovered the installation disk only supported MacOS and Windows.
I looked at the labview site for NXT and saw that we could get a student evaluation copy for use with NXT - so I filled out the forms, but when the link to the FTP site was given, it only provided a Windows and MacOS copy.
Can we obtain a student copy of labview for Linux for use with our NXT kits?
    Thank you, Jason Stewart.

    Hello Jason,
I'm sorry I didn't make this more clear in my previous post, but the LabVIEW Student Edition for use with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT is only available for Windows.  This will provide you with the LabVIEW 7.1 Student Edition and then you can download the LabVIEW Toolkit for LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT.  This will give you the ability to create custom NXT blocks in LabVIEW.
Another option would be to purchase the latest LabVIEW Student Edition and then download the LabVIEW Toolkit for NXT.  However, this edition is also only available for Windows.  The customers that are downloading the LabVIEW Toolkit for LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT on a Mac OS have purchased the full version of LabVIEW for Mac.
Your best option would be to contact the NI India Sales Office at [email protected] or 91 80-4119 0000.  They would be able to help you best with this.

  • There is a version for Linux Debian Labview 2011?

    Hello ...
I am developing a remote service and one of the objectives is that this database is a server with Debian operating system, I searched the LabView 2011 for Debian GNU / Linux and have not found it, if anyone knows? Also of LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control also for this operating system?
Or any way I can develop my service in windows and then perform a type of application that runs very well considering my database with this server?
Thank you very much and see you soon

I have not tried Labview for Linux on Debian (You really need to mention the version). You could try it and see if it works. Note, Labview for Linux only runs 32 bit. The compatibility issue is highly dependen on your 32 bit library.
Even though NI keep saying they are going to support Linux  more, I notice they keep saying it for years but heir support is not very good.
I suggest you do a client server relationship. You could install a client software on Windows  (you did not mention the type of data base to be used, files, postgres, mysql, hadoop, etc). The client support for windows is dependent on your client support.
Another alternative is to use Network Shared variables. You can host it on the Windows machine and use tcp/ip to fetch the data directly from the  windows machine. There are many choices. The information you provide is mininal at best.

    1. LabVIEW is closed source and therefore the GPL does not apply to LabVIEW itself. It does make use of some external componanats that are under the GPL such as the kernel itself and the MESA library which is
    2) look under www.ni.com/linux/support.htm#1. basically most recent RPM distributions should be fine but for non-RPM versions it installs reasonably well on recent systems. Got it to run on Ubuntu Feisty without real problems after installing RPM package support.
    3) There isn't one. Since there is no license manager for non-Windows versions NI can not make an evaluation version that can be activated through a license key. This would require a separate build with reduced functionality to release as evaluation version, and the sales for LabVIEW for Linux do not justify that extra expense.

  • Cisco ACS Server . Download Evaluation Version For Testing.

    Hello.
I want to try to install ACS server for windows to check how this is working with Microsoft AD. Does anyone know where i can download an evaluation version of Cisco ACS Server for Windows ?

    Hello Michael-
The ACS version for Windows is no longer available. The product is EOL/EOS:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/security/secure-access-control-server-windows/end_of_life_notice_c51-664639.html
The product was replaced with a Linux based version (5.x) and it is a lot easier of a product to install and manage.
If you want to evaluate the product I would recommend that you contact your local Cisco partner:

  • Evaluation version for "Base Deployment Engine " available?

    Hello,
we have one "Development-version" to develop testplans.
Now we are creating a cutom OPUI that calls the teststand-API. It works fine with the "Development-version".
Normally it should be enough to just install the "Base Deployment" to compile and use our custom OPUI.
The price is ~500EUR for the "Base Deployment"
    Question is now:
Is there an evalution-download available to check if i can use our custom OPUI with the "Base deployment"?
I only find an evaluation-download for the full "Development-version"
    Thanks

Deleting the license files will have the same effect as having an evaluation license, that's correct. Edited: Actually, deleting the license file will only trigger evaluation mode if the original evaluation license files are on the machine. This would be the case for a clean install, but may not be the case for OnlyOne's install. In that case, deleting the license files would just cause TestStand to not open.
However, my interpretation of the question (please correct me if I'm wrong, OnlyOne), is that he was wanting an eval version of base deployment so that he could confirm that his OI would work with a base deployment license. If that's the case, I think it's an equally accurate test to use an activated Base Deployment license.

  • Which version for Linux?

So I have an Acer Aspire One netbook running Linux and I want to download Flash Player but when I have to choose a version I have no idea which one I need. How can I find out which version, YUM, .tar.gz or .rpm is the right one?
    Can anyone help?
    Cheers.

    Compatible? or Certified?
    Compatible?
As long as you configure the Linux and get the right version of the supporting packages such as gcc and glibc, nearly every Fedora is 'compatible'.
The packages and the recommended versions of the packages are listed in the Oracle Installation manual for Linux available at http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/homepage
Steps for installing on many current Linux distros are at http://ivan.kartik.sk
    Certified?
    None of the Fedoras are.

  • Need help with activating student evaluation version for 30days

    Hello,
Today, I downloaded the NI multisim student evaluation version from here
http://www.ni.com/gate/gb/GB_ACADEMICEVALMULTISIM/US  and the installed it. There is a pop up saying 7 days remaining but I don’t have a serial number to activate it.
Can someone explain me where and how to get the serial number to get 30days evaluation version.
    thanks.

    Hi there,
You don't need the serial number to activate it. After 7 days, you need to create a profile to extend and continue the rest of the days.

  • Database Studio Version for Linux 64bit

    Hi,
There is a way to get a Database Studio for Linux 64bit systems?
    regards
    Clóvis

    Hi Clóvis,
sorry - currently we cannot provide a Database Studio which is running with a 64bit JVM. The provided package is an approach to run Database Studio on a 64bit server. But it definitely requires the 32bit JVM. The native 64bit Database Studio will be released later on. Unfortunately today I cannot yet tell you a fixed date for this.
    Anyway, thanks for your inquiry.

We currently have three pre-packaged demo version available with slightly different favours. We are evaluating which ones we want to maintain currently and currently all 3 are at SP4 levels. So a questions back to you would be, if the Hyper-V image was dropped, would the Windows 64 bit version still work for you?
