Labview File Location for Custom Instrument

We have a DLL for an internally developed CAN interface we call a SAINT box.  One of our Engineers has written a DLL it and uses it in Test Stand.  We were hoping to use it LABView.  I suppose I have two questions...
1. If it works in Test Stand, can we expect it to work in LABView and...
2. Where should we place the DLL inside the LABView directory structure, in order to be able to access it...
Anything else I am missing...?
Thanks and regards,

1. Yes
2. Wherever you have it for Test Stand should work fine, when you create the VIs to access the DLL you can specify the complete path to the DLL. Having said that, it would probibly be better to have it in the Windfows system directory for DLLs. Because that is a known path, all you have to do is specify the DLL name.

I have 180 apps that iTunes can no longer "find".  They appear in "my apps" and there is a file location for them.  Can old purchases be restored without doing each one individually?

That did the trick! Thank you.
The free trial is all I needed to migrate my iPod Touch library into my main iTunes library. For those that want to use this tool for the same needs there are some things that need to be moved manually, e.g. Apps. But you can do it within the program very easily. Also iBooks/PDFs etc. need to be moved manually. The help section will point you in the right direction.
No more switching iTunes libraries for me.

You should find "Preferences" in your Edit menu in iTunes.

  • Where are Pantone color library file locations for InDesign CC?

I cannot believe how difficult it is to find this information. It should be a quick search in the regular Help system.
I'd really like to find the file locations for Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC too, because I need to update my Pantone libraries, but every place I can find to save them does not seem to be the default location, so I end up with a really long dropdown menu of strangely duplicated library names, and I have no idea how to clean it up or where the program is looking to give me that list.
As far as I can tell, the default libraries are located whereever that first set is. The lower sets must be somewhere else, but I don't know where, because I've deleted all Pantone sets but one that I could find, but I can still see them (and the other non-pantone color books) duplicated in the lower sets.
Please help! Also, Adobe, if you see this, this information should be READILY and EASILY found through the main Help menu in any Adobe product.

@Maurizio – the standard settings, the joboption files with the brackets like [PDF/X-1a:2001] are stored inside the inDesign app for InDesign CC 9.2.1.
The path for these would be:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/mul
or with a Japanese version of InDesign:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/japan
If you do a right-click on the InDesign app you can show them with "Show Package Contents" options.
All other PDF joboptions that you are creating are relative to your current User Library. They are stored in:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
Where the tilde sign at the beginning indicates the home of the currently used user.
You can access ~/Library, if you press the alt key when accessing the "Go To" menu in the Finder. Otherwise it's invisible.

  • Best practices re file locations for bootstrap, fonts, js, imgs, custom css regardless of App provisioning or Design Manager

    Hi
I am working with a media company who are producing our responsive branding which includes bootstrap for a new publishing intranet.  It occurred to me that I need to encourage consistency in the file locations regardless of if the files are provisioned
through an App I will build or through Design Manager and my mapped network drive.
    client css
    client js
    client imgs
    client fonts
    bootstap css, and js
    other frameworks: Jquery, knockout, angularjs
Previously, the  the 2010 world, I tended to go for the benefits of the Site Collection libraries:   /Site Assets/client/img and /Style Library/client/css and Style Library/client/js but having look at some the codeplex stuff such as Boostrap  or
Responsive for SharePoint 2013 ( using _layouts/ , I am thinking I need to revisit this for both on prem and maybe office 365 stuff I am doing shortly.
Be good to get a few opinions on this
    Daniel

    Hi Dan the Man,
I recommend keeping them within the site that they are for, as opposed to at the root of the site collection.  So not here:
    http://mysiteurl.com/  but rather here
    http://mysiteurl.com/sites/mysitename
    Cheers,
    Stacy Anothersharepointblog.blogspot.com
    Hi Stacy
Thanks for your comment.  In the case of my client there will be a fair amount of common stuff that will be on the top level site and also the subsites say bootstrap and certain corporate images. However, I agree, the UI will have  more granularity
in the branding If I deploy your option.  Say  I have business area site which will have a different CSS to reflect its identity; even if has the same master page as other business area sub sites. Also, nn sites could have nn file structures
for css, js, etc which would take a bit of management.Maybe there is a "hybrid" approach I need to consider here.

  • Update Locations for Customer accounts

    Hi all,
I am trying to use TCA update_location API to update location information for customer accounts. I know that the tables involved here are the following:
    HZ_PARTIES
    HZ_LOCATIONS
    HZ_PARTY_SITES
    HZ_CUST_ACCOUNTS
I'm trying to find a way where I can get a list of location records from HZ_LOCATIONS that will apply only to customer accounts in HZ_CUST_ACCOUNTS. Here is the query I've come up with. I'm not sure if this will do the trick so I'm hoping someone can confirm for me.
Again, I'm trying to update location information for records that only have an associated customer account...
    SELECT DISTINCT
    A.LOCATION_ID,
    A.ADDRESS1,
    A.ADDRESS2,
    A.CITY,
    A.POSTAL_CODE,
    A.STATE,
    A.COUNTRY,
    A.COUNTY
    FROM HZ_LOCATIONS A,
    HZ_PARTY_SITES B,
    HZ_PARTIES C,
    HZ_CUST_ACCOUNTS D
    WHERE
    A.LOCATION_ID = B.LOCATION_ID AND
    B.PARTY_ID = C.PARTY_ID AND
    C.PARTY_ID = D.PARTY_ID;

If you are looking to update locations for all customers who have customer accounts then you can use this:
    SELECT DISTINCT
    A.LOCATION_ID,
    A.ADDRESS1,
    A.ADDRESS2,
    A.CITY,
    A.POSTAL_CODE,
    A.STATE,
    A.COUNTRY,
    A.COUNTY
    FROM HZ_LOCATIONS A,
    HZ_PARTY_SITES B,
    HZ_PARTIES C,
    HZ_CUST_ACCOUNTS D,
    hz_cust_acct_sites e
    WHERE
    A.LOCATION_ID = B.LOCATION_ID AND
    B.PARTY_ID = C.PARTY_ID AND
    C.PARTY_ID = D.PARTY_ID
    and d.cust_account_id=e.cust_account_id
    and e.party_site_id=b.party_site_id;
If they don't then you can eliminate the cust account tables as a party can have address and location without having account.
    Thanks

  • Where is the temporary file located for streaming audio or video?

I've noticed that when listening to streaming radio that Safari (v. 4.0.2, MacBook, Leopard 10.5.8) is apparently storing the feed temporarily someplace on my computer, as one is able to go forward and back on the content, if one has paused the feed for awhile. Where is this temporary file located, i.e., what is the path on my computer for it (assuming that is where it is), please?

"Audio and video file that do download by way of Safari (progressive download) ...there are temp file, but the temp files themselves can't be open."
Thanks for your answer. Sorry for using the wrong term (streaming v. progressive), but my basic question still remains: WHERE then is the progressive temp file stored on my Mac (even if it can't be opened)?

  • Default Report File location for BIP

    Hi Experts,
Is there a way to change the File Location on where a BIP report is generated, whether via adhoc or a scheduled method?
Any helpful inputs is highly appreciated :)
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Based on my tested in my environment, I went to set the Default File Location via group policy.
Word: Microsoft Word 2013/Word Options/Advanced/File Location/ and change the Default File Location
Excel: Microsoft Excel 2013/Excel Options/Save and change Default file location
Both of them works fine. As you said " However, Group Policy will set it in Excel." Does it mean that you set Word and Excel via two group policies at the same time, but it only works in Excel?
If it is, please try to re-download and change the
    Word ADMX to test.
If the issue still exist, please try to use Gpresult command Or RSOP to check group policy result on client.
When troubleshooting group policy issues, we use the gpresult command to confirm whether GPOs are really applied to the client (computer/user). You can run the following command in a command prompt:
    gpresult /z > c:\policy.txt
For more details about the usage of command Gpresult, please refer to the following link:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb490915.aspx
When you read the output, the c:\policy.txt file in this sample, please
examine the results of the report to find the answers to these questions.
Does the report list the particular GPO as applied?
Is the setting listed in the report?
Is the GPO listed in the Denied List

  • Helix - Exact dimensions of screen+bezel and cutout locations for custom screen protector?

    Hey Helix owners,
I want to get a screen protector for the Helix, but I don't want the anti-glare one offered by 3M.  Photodon prints custom screen protects to dimensions you give them.  I was hoping to get the dimensions of the screen+bezel and the cutout locations for camera and tablet button... I'm not able to measure these very precisely myself.  Anyone know where this information can be obtained?
I called 3M and they sent me a data sheet for their anti-glare protector, but it contained no info on dimensions and cutout locations.
    Dylan

    Hi,
I'm from germany so no 'best buy' but I think I will lock around sleeve/bag for a different product with same measures. Any tip?
The clear plastic case is not what I want. I would like to use the player without such protections. I just want a sleeve to protect the player while its in my jacket/pants.
Btw, i have bought this version: Creative Zen (maybe european version?). I also doesn't seem to have your mentioned sleeve. I also couldn't find it on the website.
    Anyway, thank you,

  • How do I change default file location for NON-MUSIC files?

My Laptop's "My Document" folder is on network per the corporate configuration. When I am not on VPN, I can not start iTunes since it looks for files on network.
Also my "My Documents\My Music\iTunes" folder on the network is growing quite large since all *.ipa files are stored there.
Is there any way to point all file locations to my C drive?
    Thx

App store files will get put in a subfolder named \Mobile Applications.
The preference files will stay on the C: drive under your user profile.
    C:\Documents and Settings\ username \Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes

  • Default File Location for Word using GPO

I have just launched Office 2013 for my users.   Those users access Word and Excel via Terminal Servers.   So, I need ways to set the defaults for these products so I don't have to touch each users login/machine.   I have been
able to use Group Policy for everything I need except in Word and the default file location.   I have tried the GPO administrative template for Office 2013 and went to Microsoft Word 2013 > Word Options > Advanced > File Locations and set
    the path to N:\
Did the gpupdate /force and nothing changed.                               However, Group Policy will set
    it in Excel.
So then I tried using the registry template in GPO.     Here I used HKEY_CURRENT_USER with path to
Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Word\Options and the value name is DefaultPath
    Value data is N:\
    That doesn't work either.
HOW are we suppose to set defaults to our network in Word.

We don't and won't be using SkyDrive in our type of business

  • I want to change the file location for the automatic backup file bookmarks.file, but I can't find browser.bookmarks.file in the list on the about:config page.

I asked about automatic backup of bookmarks and received the following answer:You can make Firefox 3 create an automatic HTML backup (bookmarks.html) when you exit Firefox if you set the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML] to true on the about:config page. That backup is created by default in the profile folder as bookmarks.html, but you can set the file name and path via the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.bookmarks.file browser.bookmarks.file] on the about:config page. I went to about:config page and toggled browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML to “Yes” and it’s working. However, I want to change the file location, but I can’t find browser.bookmarks.file in the list.

The browser.bookmarks.file preference does not exist by default. Right-click in about:config and select "New > String" to create it.
