LabVIEW keeps asking to install/setup Motion Assistant 2.3

So I've been running LabVIEW 8.5 happily for a while and in the last few days, pretty randomly but related to run / save / edit instances, a prompt will come up asking me to configure NI Motion Assistant 2.3.
Now, I've never used Motion Assistant 2.3, and my coding doesn't really require it - once I press cancel to all the prompts (screenshots below) my program runs fine. It's just incredible annoying to have to click cancel to these random install screens hundreds of times a day.
Seems like a broken / crazy / wonky install, is there anything I can do to fix it without deleting / reinstalling everything? Like, selectively uninstalling Motion Assistance (ha, I can't even find the uninstall for it...), or turning off whatever is triggering these prompts?

  • Firefox keeps asking to install Flash. When I attempt this, I get an error message stating it failed. Flash works in Google Chrome, but not FF.

I don't know what happened but Firefox keeps asking me to install Flash. When I attempt to install the program, I get an error message that it has failed. There is no other information given and I'm just left hanging. I've tried this over twenty times with the same results. I've even uninstalled and re-installed Firefox, but this continues. I'm unable to watch any YouTube videos. I then installed Google Chrome and all is working fine. I can't stand the Google company though and really with I could continue using Firefox. Why is GC working for me any FF not? How can I fix this?

Google Chrome comes with its own Flash plugin, so doesn't require to install Flash separately.
You can find the latest Flash player versions for Firefox on this page.
You may have to run the Flash installer as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator) and make sure that Firefox and possibly other browsers are closed.

  • The flash player plugin is correct installed, but firefox keeps asking to install it and then says not possible

    I have installed flash player.
The test site of Adobe says it is correct. When I switch it off and do the test the test says "flash player is switched off, press to switch it on" when I dos so the test says that is corectly installed.
When I open the plug-in screen there is no adobe flash player, but only shockwabe flash player, but switching this one on and off had the above mentioned effect.
I have checked the registry (since I could not find anything about flash player in the program list, software in configuration, nor in program files and found that in the windows/system32/macromed/flash directory are the files flashutil9b.exe and flashutil_10uPlugin.exe and some other files, which gives me the idea that flash player is in effect installed.
Nevertheless a flash file in my website keeps asking for the plugin and tells than that it cannot be found.

An example of my website is http://www.vangelder.nl/example
My real website is protected, but the example shows the problem.
I hope you can give the solution.
The big problem is, that since I have these problems (on several computers, working on XP and Vista) I suppose that the visitors on my site wil have the same problem.
I heve been working hours to find out what the problem is, installed different players, used different formats, searched the internet for a solution and I don't want to export this problem to the visitors of my website.

  • HT4796 I keep trying to install the migration assistant from pc to mac and the software will not install.  It continues to get interrupted.

I am trying to install the Migration Assistant that will transfer my Itunes accout from a PC to a MABookAir.  The install is interrupted and unable to complete.  Would someone be able to walk me through where the glitch might be?

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop

  • How to keep a clean install with migration assistant

I have a mid-2009 13" MacBook Pro (5,5 - Intel Core 2 Duo - 2.26 GHz) with 8 GB RAM. I am currently running on OS 10.6.8 and want to upgrade to Yosemite.
I also plan to replace my original drive with an SSD.
I have had a series of Macs going back many years, usually getting a new one every few years and migrating everything from the old to the new. My Macs always start out fast but start slowing down within a short while. I was told this could be due to the fact that I am importing a bunch of old stuff onto my machines and that it would be better to keep the old stuff on a separate drive.
So I want to do a clean install of Yosemite and the small handful of other apps I need.
I will pull the original drive and put it in an enclosure and can either use it or my backup via Time Machine to migrate my files to the SSD via Migration Assistant.
What I am unclear on is what all I will want or need to migrate over, and what I want to avoid. I will bring my documents folder of course but I want to be careful not to bring over any unneeded apps, preferences, libraries, etc. Are there any resources for guiding me through the process? Is Migration Assistant the best tool for this?

  • Keeps asking to install Flash PLayer when I already have??? Help Please!!!

Flash player worked perfectly fine on my computer and I've had it for about 2 years. But now for the past 2 weeks whenever I turn off the computer or log off the next time I sign in it says I need to install flash player. I have installed it many times but it keeps doing the same thing. I'm tired of installing it everyday so some one please help!!

Hi Gagan, Thanks for the info. You say sometimes the DLM will appear. If you can remember, was it used the last time that you uninstalled and installed?
It is supposed to install the FP and then disconnect, but sometimes it does not.
My suggestion would be to uninstall per http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html  This is the offline Uninstaller.
Pay close attention to the last part of this article about rebooting when using IE.
This is the offline Installer :
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
Download the Installer and run from your desktop after the Uninstaller is finished. Be sure to not have any Flash running,
close all browsers, check system tray, etc.
Just read over the instructions carefully regarding Security Settings, Permission issues, Norton Security, etc. before Installing.
If you have any questions prior to uninstalling/installing, just post.
    Thanks

  • TS3147 Mac OS keeps asking to install printer software

Every few days I get a message box on my desktop asking me "Would you like to download and install software for 'HP Deskjet 6800'?"  I usually click ok, and then a few minutes later it says that it can't find the software or something like that.  In the meantime the printer (which is an HP Deskjet 6800) seems to work ok.  But this repeated message is annoying.  I'm completely up to date on all Apple software updates.  Does anyone know how to stop this message?

This is what ended up happening:
I deleted the printer from the Print & Scan panel with the intent of reinstalling it. My Mac detected the printer and said something like "Drivers are available from Apple. Click here to install." Clicking there gave me a similar message to the above that they were not available.
I went to Brother's website and downloaded the appropriate CUPS drivers from there. Everything went as expected and I was able to reinstall the printer in Print & Scan.
Later on, the OS X 10.8.2 "Supplimental Update" was released, and when I went to Software Update, I also got a note that Brother Software 9.2 was available. So I updated that as well.
That was about six hours ago. So far, I haven't gotten any printer-related dialog boxes, so I think my problem may be solved.

  • Studio 8 keeps asking for install disk

    Hi-
PC, Win XP SP2, Compaq R4012 laptop. I had Studio MX 2004
installed and downloaded the Dreamweaver 8 and Fireworks 8 demos to
try out. I installed them and used them for a couple of weeks
(Studio MX 2004 was still on my machine at this time--it was my
understanding that I could leave it in place while I demoed DW 8/FW
8). I purchased Studio 8, uninstalled the demo software,
uninstalled Studio MX 2004, rebooted and installed Studio 8. Now
about every third time I start one of the Studio 8 programs I am
prompted to either reenter the Studio 8 registration number or am
asked to insert the installation disks-- a "The feature you are
looking for is located on your installation disk." (or something
like that) window pops up and I have to put in the installation
disk, let it run for several minutes and then, Dreamweaver 8 in
this case, will start just fine. Also, in DW 8 I had associated
StyleMaster with .css files but decided to remove that association
and just use the CSS editor in DW8. However, every once in a while
DW 8 will "revert" its preferences back to using StyleMaster as the
CSS editor. Honestly, I've never had anything like this happen
before. Did the demo possibly mess things up (I've heard of Adobe
demos later causing problems with full installs)? Should I
uninstall and reinstall Studio 8? If so, how can I get a full
"clean" install so that any bits of MX 2004 and/or demo software
    are completely removed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Adobe reader installed but site keeps asking for install...?

I need to create an account on this website https://noridian.totalonboarding.com/ but when I go to create an account it asks to me install Adobe Reader. I have installed Adobe Reader on my computer twice now and it continues to ask me to install it. How can I fix this?

What is your operating system & web browser?
Can you post a screenshot of that message asking you to install Adobe Reader?  See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1070933

  • Safari keeps asking to install Adobe Flash player

While trying to use Hulu to see a movie, I get a message to install the latest version of Flash player app. I do it and apparently, it install successfully, but when I get back to Hulu, I continue to get the same message, and can't see any movie. Don't have any problem with Google Chrome. Any ideas to fix this? Thanks.

If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 4.
    1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then from the menu bar select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
    2. Triple-click the line below to select it:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
    Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. Delete the following item, or anything with a similar name, if present:
    Flash Player (failing).plugin
You may be prompted for your login password.
    3. Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from this page:
Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
    4. If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked Enable plug-ins.
    5. Select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.
    6. In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
    Close the window. Then select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.

According to every site I visit Flash is not installed yet I

  • Update to Motion Assistant

I have just installed the Motion Assistant upgrade. It is supposed to upgrade 1.2 to 1.2.1. However, after the installation, when I click on About it says 1.2 and when I look in the NI License Manager, it says 1.2 as well. So, is it installed or not?

It was and is activated just fine. Also, if the update was only for NILM activation, it is probably not necessary for me to go around and upgrade all the machines it is on. That's nice to know.
